This restaurant was recommended to us so we gave it a try. It was a nice change from the fast food and pizza we had been eating on our road trip. All the sandwiches sounded really good so we opted for the mini sliders so we could taste a bunch of them. The steak sandwich was the best but they were all very good. We also had the antipasto plate and a bourbon flight which both were great as well. There was an error on our bill which was fixed quickly once brought to ourservers attention. I would differently eat here again if back in town

Restaurant was clean and attractive in design. Great music playing at good level. Food was OK- not the best but not the worst either. Rare steak was undercooked n closer to raw. Brisket taco was juicy n pretty good n chips were good. Best part of meal was the bread pudding- absolutely delicious and super big portion for the price. Portion sizes over all were generous. Service was a bit slow and place was not busy at the time. Overall a nice alternative for dinner.

I ran across Hudson Hollow on Yelp - realized it was a restaurant - and decided to check it out with the hubby. If it wasn't for the obscure location and signage I would have spotted this restaurant when it opened late last year! (So thanks for your reviews fellow Yelpers.) Inside the ambience is cool. Very clean, bright and open bar/restaurant. We stopped in for lunch on a weekday we both were off work. We were the first to arrive but a solid lunch crowd soon formed. We sat at the bar. I was pleasantly surprised to see they offered WOODCHUCK Gumption hard cider on TAP ($4.50). Sam Adams seasonal was $4.00 on tap. Nice bar - but if you are into Spirits try not to be too deterred by the bottle displays behind the bar. On one top shelf was Kahlua and Buffalo Trace was top shelf on the other side. Knob Creek was nestled onto the middle shelf so I'm thinking they must be placing the taller bottles on the top just for spacing. (Of course Buffalo Trace is just down the road.) Woodford was top shelf as well but in the heart of Bourbon Country I assumed they would have more variety. *Hudson Hollow also offers well priced bourbon flights.* Our bartender/server, Sean, was awesome! He provided solid recommendations and was just chatty enough. He raved for the Reuben so the hubby opted for the Sliders which included the REUBEN, Cuban and their burger. He agreed the Reuben was one of the best he'd ever had. I ordered the burger and sweet potato which also proved to be a good choice. We will definitely return to Hudson Hollow SOON. In fact, we may have just found our local bar! POSITIVE: FINALLY a moderately priced, good independent/local restaurant and bar in Frankfort! We can now give Serafini's a bit of a break. The food was FRESH and of GOOD QUALITY. On two occasions I'd noticed the Creation Gardens food delivery service in front of what I now know to be this restaurant. (First hint there may be a restaurant behind that truck! HA!) The bar area has a multitude of seating options and TVs to catch sporting events. It is divided well so you don't feel like you are necessarily eating in a bar. Too bad we didn't find this place the night before or we would have been there for the Women's World Cup Finals. NEGATIVE: Again the signage/front advertising. It's a bit hard to tell if Hudson Hollow is a restaurant or knock off Porter Paint. Apparently the 'Open' sign is a new addition. The location isn't the best but who knows... maybe it will revive the area and become a cornerstone of some new Frankfort foodie row. (I shall dream!) RECOMMENDATION: How about offering breakfast on the weekends? Oh how we miss having a good brunch place nearby. (And Rick's White Lightening is completely overrated.)

What a great surprise we found in Frankfort! We used Yelp to find some dinner choices. We decided to try this new ( to us ) restaurant for dinner. The hubs had the slider platter and thought they were very very good. The beef that they used to make the hamburgers with is seasoned and it does taste excellent. It comes with a side of chips that are homemade and they are very tasty as well! I have the Reuben and it was very good too. Although the next time I would try the hamburger.

Perfectly seasoned and cooked 8oz ribeye (no sauce needed when it's that good!), sweet potato and mushrooms.... DELICIOUS!

This restaurant should be ranked higher in the yelp standings. Perfect for the family. Casual but very nice, clean, modern decor. Very friendly staff. Had Very nice prime rib with excellent Brussels sprouts!

This was my first visit here, Friday evening, 5:30pm. Stopped on a whim, the outside of the building looked interesting enough to peak my curiosity. The lack of cars in the lot made me question my decision. I glanced at the 4 1/2 star Yelp rating as we entered so my hopes were up. The entry is open and bright with plenty of windows and a very appealing looking bar. (See my pic) The hostess was extremely nice and seated us immediately. The dining room was clean and very comfortable, all one room with individual booths with half-walls separating. I liked this, you have a sense of privacy but with a little stretch you can see the entire room. (I'm 5'9 so of course this experience will vary for taller or shorter people.) I perused the Yelp reviews while looking over the menu, my hopes were high. Our server, Steve P., was courteous and prompt. He offered menu suggestions upon request but failed to offer me the bar/beer menu. (To be fair, I was in the bathroom when the initial drink order was placed.) I overheard another server discussing the beers with another customer so I asked Steve. He ran through the list of offerings on tap and even brought me a couple of samples! We ordered The Rachel and the Apple Pecan Salad with Steak added. (Medium-well for the lady.) We shared both. It seemed to take a while to get our order but I wasn't minding the wait, drinking my Shotgun Wedding and sharing the reviews with the wife. About the time that I complained to her that it was taking a while, voilà , the food appeared. Sadly, this is when things went south. The server noticed right away that the salad was missing the apples so he excused himself to set them. He returned with a small plate of 6 thinly sliced green apples which my wife broke into chunks on the salad. The steak was med rare to rare so she picked it off of the salad and Steve P. had them cooked to her liking. The food tasted very good, nothing real special but no complaints. Then, the check arrived. It was missing my beer. I pointed it out and the correction was made. No "Thanks for being honest." or "Sorry about the Apple-less apple salad." And no compensation offered. Don't get me wrong, I don't go looking for free food, I rarely accept comps but i do feel it should gave been addressed. I WILL return, can't wait to try that Bread Pudding! The Sliders are on my list too. Hopefully I can change the rating in the future.

Gluten free menu! Has been difficult to find gluten free restaurants while on vacation. Great treat!

Really good Reuben sandwich. Melt in your mouth corned beef and mellow sauerkraut with a nicely melt swiss cheese and fresh rye bun. Shawn the waiter was very congenial and took excellent care of us. Rib eye steak sandwich and freshly fried home made potato chips were awesome. Cole slaw was so fresh and had apples in it. The place is kind of hard to find. Signage was hard to see. Summer hours had it opening at 3 o'clock. We arrived at 4 o'clock and the place was empty. Had us worried at first but we were very satisfied with the atmosphere, service and food. It was worth traveling off the beaten path for.

This place is great! Finally a good independently owned restaurant in Frankfort that is open for dinner! I don't think I have had a better hamburger anywhere!

This is a wonderful place to get a quality meal. This chef does not cut corners, he uses quality ingredients! He is creative and talented! We loved the slider sampler that featured all his sandwiches. Ever single one was delicious! His Mac and Cheese is to die for. Don't leave without trying his homemade bread pudding with bourbon sauce. We also enjoyed the Adult Rootbeer and White Chocolate Truffle Martini!

Great place to eat! We brought our two kiddos and received excellent service and delicious food. Our server was friendly and fast, the drinks were good and our bill was reasonable. The corn dogs and the bread pudding could have been warned a little more, but overall was very good. We will be back!

LOVED this place! Wow, the decor blew me away the moment I walked in. I thought I was back in Austin! Lisa was our server and did a great job recommending things and checking on us. I got the antipasta app and my friend got the fried pickles. Both were delicious. Lisa suggested a small salad with chicken to go with the apps instead of a large salad, and she was right; it was the perfect amount of food for two ladies. The apple pecan salad with chicken is great. The ONLY thing I didn't like was the big TV on the wall across the room. But I just hate TVs in any restaurant; I felt the decor was so upscale the TV didn't go along.

Delicious little restaurant. The inside is pretty nice, not what I'd expect walking in (still casual, but the decor is nicer than an average place). The food was good. I ordered the prime rib, and it was flavorful. A friend ordered the sirloin and loved it. They were both cooked wonderfully. The sides were delicious - baked sweet potato and asparagus and brussels sprouts. The staff were very friendly, too.

Stopped here after the Buffalo Trace tour for a quick bite. All four of us got sandwiches and they were delicious. Had a good beer and cocktail menu. Great service and awesome design and atmosphere.

The staff was friendly, the service was quick and the food was good. I had the steak sub/sandwich for lunch. The steak appeared to be marinated and griddled, and the bread seemed fresh. I would go back.

My family treated me to dinner here when I was visiting during the Christmas holiday, and we had a wonderful time. Our table ordered the reuban, the ribeye, and the sirloin, along with salads and sides. The food was really good, very tasty and fresh. The service was great too. From the host station to the server to the manager who stopped by to ask how everything was, everyone was very friendly and helpful. Hudson Hollow is a great addition to Frankfort, I am really looking forward to coming back this spring and checking out the happy hour!

Had a wonderful corned beef sandwich on superb rye bread with dark mustard. Sigh that was awesome. Also was not prepared to be blown away by potato chips. I think they're homemade. Can't wait for next time. Turkey or Cuban? Maybe steak with dark beer.
