Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Think Chipotle with different interior decor which is a little more trendy with multiple TV sets. The food bar looks like they took it right out of a Chipotle. The girls were friendly. I added chips and salsa to a bowl meal for $1.79. I think the concept of selecting your items from the food bar is a good one. The meal was great and I had half left over for tomorrow.

This place is hands down one of the best fast food places around. Beyond that, the food and especially the service are second to none of the competitors. The new Chipotle had nothing on this place.

Been wanting to write this up and decided now was best time being it appears to of declined. -Food Cost; I understand food cost metrics are important in the food industry but geez, this place has taken it a bit too far I'd say. I ordered a chicken bowl and received a bowl of rice with a very very small small portion of chicken. Portions are inconsistent. Might be a good idea to measure portions to promote consistency. -Staff & Professionalism; the Florence Hot Head staff could be a little nicer and engaging. Staff appears to not want to be there. -Food; The bowl of rice was cold and my first bite had a hair so in the garbage it went. Won't be back anytime soon! This is unfortunate as I used to eat at this place at least 3 times weekly. Probably won't be back!

Once again, this continues to be the stingiest burrito place on the planet. The girl put a tiny little pinch of meat on my wife's burrito. The girl knew it was a small pinch and even attempted to grab a little more with the tongs, but kept dropping it. She gave up and moved down to the salsas. My wife asked her if she could get just a bit more meat and the girl obliged. She got just little bit more. It was disappointing that the girl made sure that my wife was charged for double meat. I couldn't help but laugh at the situation.

The warm quesadilla in my mouth changed my life forever. I am eternally grateful to hot head burritos. Nice on any day. Very helpful and friendly staff. It's just a marvelous place to enjoy a great meal.

i like the food better than chipotle. some of the staff at this one isnt quite as good as the staff at the fort mitchell one, so dont be surprised to sometimes get a burrito that rips open, or ingredients not evenly layered at this location.

This place is crazy good. So many options to pick from and every sauce is so good. If you want to be a mindless zombie and only have one choice ( is that going to be chicken or steak) then go waste your money at chipotle but if you want awesome food with killer sauce hit up a hot heads. With the daily deals and free burrito cards you can't beat it.

I've heard much about Hot Head Burritos and their presence in the Cincinnati area, but never made it to one of their locations. Having finally been to one, and this location, I thought it was OK, and not all that impressive. Maybe I've been spoiled by Chipotle, which I still think is the golden standard when it comes to burrito fast food restaurants. I had the burrito bowl with chicken, and it was a decent portion with choice of sauces and ingredients, but I thought it was pretty bland. The atmosphere, while it was nice to have TVs, was also pretty bland, and reminded me of a Gold Star Chili place. If I had to choose between them and Gold Star, I'd go with the chili place.

If there is something keeping you from going to chipotle give this a shot. If you can get to a chipotle, get to a chipotle. The food here is about what you would expect if you tried to make this food at home. It is in no way as fresh and delicious as what you would find at chipotle. The steak is ant what it would taste like if you burnt some steak on the grill and then chopped it up. Chipotles steak on a good day is steakhouse quality. Wasnt that impressed.

The Short review - just another burrito joint. Which means- the food is really no better or worse than Chipotle or Moe's. What is better: 1- lots of choices for sauce What is not better: 1- like Chipotle, you can't get out cheap and full; Moe's has chips and you can get a very filling taco and chips for $3.00. Hotheads is gonna run you ~6.00 and no chips. 2- the urinal in the men's room splashes directly back at your legs. GROSS. I assume the workers use the same restroom, so, uh, sorry, not going back, no reason to with the others so close.

I went once and can safely say I'll never be back. It wasn't terrible, but if I'm ever wanting a burrito I would stop at Chipotle or Qdoba first. It was overpriced and didn't taste good. Kind of boring. The chips were crap. I was pretty disappointed because I really wanted to like this place.

Similar to a Qdoba but my opinion better. Newly remodeled with nice seating. Good food average price. I always get the chicken, not a fan of their Taco meat. I give them a B, give em a try.

Kinda blah!! Lettuce was brown, and meat looked like it had been cooked a week ago and re heated over and over. So over priced! Sorry but I won't be back.

I have been to Chipotle, Qdoba and Hot Heads. They are all similar. If you've been to one you know what to expect. But having said that, Hot Heads is just as good as either of those. To the person who left the tip about the puny burrito for the price....are you serious??? I am 6'2" 270 lbs. A burrito fills me up to the very comfortably full stage. We don't usually get sides so I can't comment on the price of those. If you can make it on Sundays you get two burritos for $10.99. There is no greater value on burritos. The service is always fast and attentive. Give them a try.

It was just ok, I thought it did not have much flavor. But was quick and filled me up. If you ever have been to "Free Birds" in Texas. A scaled down version of that.

This burrito place is not recommended. The food is average at best and the chicken looked old and was overlooked and dry. The manager charged me for putting an included ingredient on the side.

Went to hotheads last night and it was great got three sample sauces with my bowl which were awesome. Chipotle but better

I really wish I would've driven to the next exit and eaten at Chipotle. Ugh, Hot Heads Burritos I wanted to like you, I really did. I have to admit I might like Moe's better - and if you knew how meh Moe's is...well...you get the idea. The ingredients were more bland than I'm used to and the chicken had no flavor. The bag of chips I was given had a sealed bag of chips within it. WTH? Why not just hand me a bag of Tostitos? If I was back in the area, I'd seek out a Chipotle - like I should've done in the first place!
