Again... I. Love. This. Place. Every time we've been there, the drinks, sandwiches, wraps, sides have all be top-notch.

Went here with my childhood best friend's dad, my dad and my girlfriend one evening. Very clean modern and inviting feeling. Live local band was playing. Ordered a chicken and pasta dish that was out of this world. Awesome. Better than Olive Garden. I'm still surprised on how great the dish was. Didn't try the beer because I was 19 at the time (21 now). Hope to visit again soon.

we go to hollers often cause it is very close to us but it is really Boone county best kept secret. a true diamond in the rough. this visit I wanted to try something I haven't had so I choose the holler house burger. it was one of the best burgers Ive had in awhile. the fries was all fresh cut with skin on and was cooked very well. I had a triple IPA beer to go with it. my wife had their blackened fish sandwich which was very good as well. if you go there for first time. you must either get the pretzel with beer cheese or Kentucky egg as app. then go with holler house burger for the entrée. they have a great bourbon and beer selection.

This is an unpretentious little oasis in suburbia/wanna be country hell. Very nice beer and bourbon selection and the most excellent wings. I am looking forward to exploring more of the menu. The service is friendly and prompt.

The house burger was excellent and the Kentucky egg was also amazing. Small little bar that is sort of off the beaten path great good and cool place.

Food was fantastic! Bartender was super-friendly! I highly recommend it here! I had the blackened fish sandwich and my husband had a burger and both were VERY GOOD!!!

I'll admit to being the guy who stands in the craft beer section of the liquor store for a half hour before eventually panicking and buying the beer with the funniest label or highest abv %. I get excited about the idea of craft beer, but the actual practice usually makes me break out in hives. I learn best by trial and error, so, the notion of a craft beer bar right up the street from me, where I can pick and choose new beers by the glass or bottle, is right up my alley. I have a feeling Holler Hops & Grill and I will be on the same learning curve for a little while. They've only recently opened, and the potential to be an excellent beer bar is there. They've got about a dozen rotating taps, and at least 20 offerings in the cooler. It's almost too much choice. I'd love to see a beer menu with some kind of description for each variety. At the very least, arrange it by porters, stouts, ales, ipas, etc....I'd hate to just panic and order a Guinness. The food menu, meanwhile, is excellent. A few different vegetarian options are always a welcome addition, and both the veggie burger and white wine pasta were great. The handmade black bean burger, in particular, was fantastic. It's a "knife and fork" kind of burger for sure. After a few drinks, and several longing glances at other diner's plates, my wife and I decided to try an order of the pretzels and beer cheese. Good decision! We'll start with those next time. Another lesson learned. Can't wait to watch this place grow. We'll be back for sure!

The food is amazing! The service is great. Apparently the head cook went to culinary school, and it shows! Great fried fish sandwich, it wasn't overly fried, it was perfectly lightly fried. The cole slaw was probably the best cole slaw I've ever had. And the fries were fresh cut and seasoned perfectly. My wife got the holler burger with bacon, it was crazy good also. Nothing but good things to say about this place. Very chill environment. 5 stars all day

Very good food. A small place so is fairly noisy. Great choices of beer and daily specials. Recommend it, especially for those living in Oakbrook!

Really neat little place. $20 for $10 was an extra bonus. Pretzels & beer cheese app was serviceable. I had the club sandwich & fries which were good. Wife had the blackened fish sandwich & fries and really liked it. Would definitely come back even without the offer Also, really easy to redeem the offer. No hassles or loopholes.

Good beer selection however I found the tap selection not very forgiving (the owners/employees must have a taste for strong beers higher than 7%). I don't know if I chose unwisely on food but I found it quite lacking. I had the pretzels with beer cheese dip. I usually love beer cheese and this claimed to be homemade but it tasted like warm cheeze whiz. Pretzels were slathered in butter, but I'm a sucker for warm bread and butter so I liked it. For dinner I had the meat loaf sandwich. I found it confusing as the meatloaf seem to be on some kind of sweet French toast or brioche. There was no gravy or topping and was dry. That said, it was tasty just didn't do much for me. If I lived in the area, I'd probably frequent this place for the beer, but if you're traveling through, I wouldn't bother stopping for the food.

Had the quesadilla. It was good but there was no salsa which I found weird. The beer was exceptional and the atmosphere was friendly. It was Open mic night and the patrons were talented! The clientele was a mix bit mostly 20'something.

The Kentucky Egg was delicious! The decor was really neat, too, with probably one hundred different beer taps hanging on the walls. The owner was bartending and serving the night we were there. Despite having double duty, he was doing great at both, and he was nice enough to chat with us a bit. From what I could tell most everything was made from scratch and it showed. Even though it's about 30 mins away from me, it was worth the trip.

GREAT food! I had the black bean burger. My boyfriend had the "holler heaven". We both enjoyed the upscale bar atmosphere and the large selection of craft beers.

Certainly a place that one can consume a little more in the beverage department than he/she originally set out to, as the options are virtually limitless There are a wonderful array of micro brew options both on tap and in the clear glass, look in cooler. The male bartender was guiding me through the options like an experienced tour guide, one beer at a time and was clearly experienced at providing suggestions based on my palate. By the 2nd beer, I gave him full Intero processo decisionale. A Pumpkin lager, Lore Orange, Octoberfest, Rogue Hazelnut, Red Banshee, Sweet Action, Old Rasputin and no I was not there alone, as I had help from another beer lover. A little food goes a long way in your belly, at Holler Hops and Grill. The 2 app's I ordered were culinary-ly delectable Kentucky Egg: goetta wrapped around hard-boiled eggs, panko'd and fried. Beer Brined Wings: I ordered the Asian and Garlic. So intense in flavor, such care and pride in preparation, you could taste the love. The 2 app's were quite filling as the quantities were more than ample. Splitting 10 wings two ways? Try that at one of the local chain locations. There were a few rowdy 50 somethings, a very nice young family with their two young kids and what appeared to be a couple on a first date. Clearly a wide variety of demographics. I hope all of the best of success for HH&G, but the rowdy 50's seemed to be the locals, yikes.

Yelp coupon $10 get $20, not bad. Good marketing, would have not gone there or heard of it, if it wasn't for the coupon deal. A friend of mine Matt and I went there to watch #14 UK vs #3 Florida basket game, the place was busy. The first thing I see there a 2 man band, I like live music, instead of a juke box. I ordered the Bourbon beer, that was ok. Overall I would come back again and use the coupon deal from YELP.

Kind of a smaller venue but the food was outta sight... goetta tacos!? Amazing! Our group ordered like half the menu and every choice was perfect but totally different from your normal expectations for what you ordered... we ordered the holler burger, goetta tacos, shrimp tacos, shrimp quesadilla, pulled pork sandwich, club sandwich, fries (amazing), beer brined wings... and that's not even getting into the HUGE selection of bourbons and beer that they offer. The live band was awesome and the atmosphere was great. Definitely a place to frequent

Good food, Great beer choices. The only negative is the place is a little small. Wish it was bigger but still love to eat there.

Enjoyed first visit and will most likely be back many times. Food was good. Service was attentive and not over-extended. Plenty of interesting beers from which to choose.

While this place is small, it is well worth it! The bartender knew her beers and was able to suggest beers that everyone in our party would enjoy. We also had the wings with the Asian-garlic glaze. They were so DELICIOUS we ordered a second helping! Go early to get a seat. It got crowded about 6:30 and seats were at a premium.

One of the biggest gripes I had when I was confined to the limbo that was Boone County suburbia was the lack of big city amenities- craft beer, coffee shops, mainly those things. This was once a weird coffee shop run by a weird guy. Now it is a pretty kick butt craft beer and whiskey bar run by some not weird people. The layout of the bar is much of the same, but the whiskey and beer selection is pretty top notch. They had a nice collection of drafts- pumpkin was the king that October weekend- And whiskey was a great chaser. They have a nice collection of local drafts and other crafts. And they also have one the finer collection of brown spirits in the County of Boone. I used to drive all the way to OTR to get a bar with a collection like this. Sure it still has a suburban feel to it. You can still see the former drive through and you are staring into the backyards of suburbia gone crazy. I live in New York now instead of Boone County, but my buddy lives around the corner in suburbia gone crazy, and when I am back in town I will be sure to make a guest appearance at this bar and most likely crash on his couch.

Holler Hops doesn't have the best food out there, it doesn't have the best service, it doesn't have the best facilities..... but it has a really outstanding combination of pretty darn good things. Atmosphere is a bit of a combo between dive and down-home cooking. Lots of craft beer options and some unique items. It can get a little loud Friday nights with the live music, but you can always sit outside. It's a great spot to just go and relax a bit.

Had lunch there today. Great food and service!!. A little loud since it was us and the bartender.

Wen I first arrived at this bar, before wring in I thought it looked small and there were too may cars outside for the small place. We were however able to finds a seat and at fort we loved the place. They don't have anything on tap that's cheap. No miller or bid or anything. She said that have hudepol so we got that. I figured maybe about 2.50 a glass since that is a cheap beer. Then I wanted to order food. The prices were that of a restaurant on the beach somewhere. We settled on the 7$ pretzel. Decent but not enough cheese. The music was good I have to say. We get our tab for 4 hudepohls and a pretzel. $30. These are 2.50 beers at best but we were charged 4.50 for them. Way overpriced. Again, I would expect these prices from a Oceanside restaurant at the Bach. Actually, I know for a fact we pay less than that at the beach when we go to Florida. If you have no concept of money you may enjoy this place. As for me, just getting the bill ruined my night. I hate being ripped off.

Kentucky Eggs! Nuff Said. Good beer selection, friendly staff and good food. What more can you ask for!

I absolutely LOVE this place and it's so close to home to boot! My husband and I just had dinner there last night and they had live music that was great! I had the Shrimp Tacos that were out of the world and my husband had the delicious Kentucky Hot Brown (that was his 2nd time eating that dish there) - first time I had the hummus appetizer plate and it was good too. They have a bazillion beer options (a real craft beer place I am told - I am more a wine drinker (so they could use just a few more wine options :-) All the food is great! Service was good - we will be back!!

What a great place! The food is excellent, service is friendly and the beer selection is top notch. I have been there twice now when really good local cover bands are playing and I attended their first beer dinner a few weeks ago. They have chef quality food with elevated bar food. The Kentucky Egg and Chicken wings are second to none. My only concern with this place is how quickly it could outgrow its small space. Highly recommend it, especially to my better beer friends.

OMG!!! Where has this place been all my life!? I am a little bit of a beer snob married to a beer snob and overheard someone talking about how awesome this place was on the bus two days in a row so naturally I had to check them out. I am so glad I did. The beer list is impressive and the food was incredible. I had the chili cheese fries and my husband had the house burger and I am pretty sure he fell in love with the homemade pimento cheese and the delicious bun. What really won me over was the fact that when i couldn't make up my mind which brew I wanted to try the bartender just brought me something that went well with my meal and I was not disappointed. We will defiantly be regulars at Holler.

We forgot about the live music on Friday evenings. We usually try to stay away because the music is too loud and not great. The burger was good but nothing over the top and pricey at 11.50. The draft beer selection is not as good as it once was. I am fine with paying $5-$6 for pints but I wish the selection was better. I love my IPA's but more variety would be nice.

My husband and I went to have dinner here and the burgers are great. One of the best burgers I've had, the meat is perfectly cooked and juicy, and you fall in love with it from the first bite, also their hot wings are delicious. Their food is pretty awesome so we are looking forward to go there soon again and try more stuff in the menu. They also have lots of beers, I specially loved a cider one they recommended for me. The place is clean and the atmosphere is great, you feel comfortable the moment you get in. Great place to have a drink with friends or just dinner with the family.

Not impressed with Hops Bar and Grill. The tables are dirty, the chairs are uncomfortable, no liquor on Sundays and poor food selection. Leaving ASAP!

Neighborhood Gem! It's a bit of a drive but worth it. I wish they had opened in my neighborhood. The atmosphere is friendly and open. We arrived around 8:45 and there was a good crowd including the outside tables. The bartender/chef/owner helped us pick out a beer - OTR. It was very good and at the right temperature. I started with the wedge salad including their housemade blue cheese dressing. I then had the buffalo wings. Both were very good although I would have liked more heat on the wings (they were about "medium"). After another beer, my buddy and I split an order of the pretzels. They were great. The housemade cheese spread complemented the hot pretzels very well. I look forward to returning to this neighborhood gem.

Went recently for dinner with some friends. The food is pretty good. We had the pretzel & beer cheese appetizers, which were good although they were slathered with way too much butter. I had the black bean burger which was pretty tasty for what it was. There were also a couple burgers and the Kentucky catch, which is fried Swai on a bun. The food was good, but nothing really out of the ballpark outstanding. They have a very nice selection of beers both bottled and on tap. The selection changes frequently. There was a music duo in the corner, one on acoustic and the other singing. The space is so small you could not have any type of conversation over the music. Was a little disappointed in the starkness of the decorating and the bare concrete floors. Overall, it's a pretty decent place with good food and a nice beer selection.

Great beer selection and a very knowledgable staff. They made us feel very welcome from the moment we walked in the door. All the food looked very tasty. They also have a cary out if you want to take some of the wonderful beer home!

We went there for the first time on a Tuesday. The place was like a neighborhood hangout with families there as well. The pretzels and beer cheese are wonderful! Also, the fries are great. The burgers were very flavorful, but not my cup of tea. They have a huge selection of beers, but I am not a beer drinker. They also have a full bar. However, the non-alcoholic birch beer is really good and worth trying.

My new favorite place! The serving staff are knowledgable and very accommodating. The owner introduced himself to us and talked with us for a few minutes then checked back in after we got our food and made sure everything was to our liking. The Kentucky egg is delicious and by far the most unique thing I have ever eaten! We shared a few more appetizers including the pretzels, the potato skins, and the spinach artichoke dip. I'm definitely a beer lover an their selection was unmatched. They had anything and everything I could think of. Keep up the good work guys! We will definitely be back!!

Great food. Even better beers. A little hard to find but worth the trip to find this diamond in the "rough". Located in a strip mall in a subdivision by a golf course. It's small but very friendly and the service is stellar.

Great little neighborhood place. Decent selection on tap and even more selection of bottled beers. I had a blackened fish sandwich with fries and it was very good. Staff very friendly and attentive. Fun, friendly neighborhood restaurant atmosphere

Great beer selection, and the food is just as good. It is all original recipes, reasonably priced, and generous portions. I will definitely be coming back to try some of the interesting Guiness mixed drinks. If you're into craft brews and gastropub food, give this place a shot.

Great beers and food that includes fun twists on classic bar food. For example, instead of a Scotch egg, it's a Kentucky egg with goetta instead of sausage. They make their own pimento spread too. Watch for specials. They are good about posting the beer and food specials on their Facebook page. We've been there a lot already. We're going to be there a lot in the future too.

A real craft beer bar in my neck of the woods? Hooray! It's no secret that I am passionate about craft beer, so when I heard that there was a shiny new "craft beer" bar in Oakbrook I had to try it. I must admit that I was hesitant at first, this area doesn't seem to attract proper craft beer locations. My hesitations were put to rest quickly when I saw the tap wall and the beer fridges. Holler has a great selection of local, regional and national craft beers. They have 10 taps of which at least 80% or more are stacked with delicious craft beer offerings and no macro fizz. A beautiful thing indeed. The price per pint is perfectly reasonable and sometimes downright cheap as compared to some other craft beer locations in NKY. It seems that there are at least two beer specials a day making the great prices even better! I have eaten a few different items off of the menu and nearly everything I have had has been very tasty. The Kentucky Egg is quite delicious and the sampler platter gives you a taste of many delicious items that they make. The homemade pimento was especially good. The prices are moderate and seemed deserved for almost everything I have had. The only issue I have is with the prices of the sides. I ordered a side of fries to snack on expecting a basket sized portion for the price, what I got was one potatoes worth on a small saucer with primarily small bits - and they were significantly under seasoned. Win some, lose some. Overall this is a great new addition to the community and i highly recommend you experience it for yourself.

Headed here after a Reds game on day before Memorial Day. Sunday evening was quiet, but the service was friendly and the food well prepared. Beer cheese was a little off, but the fried fish sandwich was outstanding. Beer selection is interesting and suggestions are readily available from knowledgeable wait-staff. Don't come here if you want a Bud or Miller - just stay at home, roll pennies and warm up a frozen pizza. If you want a good beer in a cool place with a quality meal then you're in the right place.

Had black bean burger. So glad to see it on the menu and it was fantastic. Very pleased with the beer selection too. Nice clean facility. Took the kids and the in-laws and they liked it too.

What a great little bar tucked away in a small strip mall in Oakbrook! My friends and I went there after a long walk. We all live in the Oakbrook, Florence, Ky area. We were pleasantly surprised by the large selection of beers. It is not just a beer joint though. You can order just about any drink and the bartender can make it to perfection. And the food!!! Delicious! I had a homemade black bean burger with homemade fries. The burger was moist, not dry like some black bean burgers can be and the fries were some of the best I've had. Both were perfectly seasoned. Others got chicken on a stick with homemade slaw. The chicken was moist and very tasty and the slaw was also very good, not your normal slaw. My only complaint is that there were 2 young men playing guitars and singing and it was too loud to carry on a conversation. The music was very good though. We will definately go back. I can't wait to try more of their great selection of beers.
