Great service. Called ahead for reservations and was seated promptly. 5 adults. 1 ordered lasagna off lunch menu. 2 ordered chicken parmigiana and penne with marinara. Chicken was very tender and cooked well. Was told lasagna was better than Olive Garden. The other two ordered Shrimp Florentine. Very tasty as well. Asked about the Pope room and table in the kitchen. We were asked and given a tour of the resteraunt. If you want either table was told best to call in the morning if making reservations for dinner. Was told kitchen experience would be nice because everyone walking through interacts with you. So if you like to be left alone, I wouldn't recommend it.

The service was great! Staff were welcoming and courteous. Food was great but if you have picky eaters it's a challenge with family style eating and the menu is strictly Italian food no chicken fingers n fries for kids if they wanted it. Overall good experience though!

Okay I think I'm still recovering from having Buca a week ago, so much yummy food!! I loved the family style aspect of eating here. We had 19 people so of course we have a ton of food on our table! Out of all the things we ordered my favorites by far were the seafood linguine and the prosciutto stuffed chicken. We were all so full and had a great time! Our waitress had a huge task of dealing with all 19 of us and she did so well! They have an equal pay option which makes the whole family style thing work out very fairly. Good job Buca! We will be coming back sometime soon!

This was not our first buca experience but it was our first at the Florence location. We were greeted kindly at the hostess stand and seated promptly. We had made a reservation online aheAd of time and they had a table for us. I do love the online reservation feature! We were really hungry upon arrival and the kids were pretty anxious for food. We got drinks quickly but the bread took a while. keeping kids quiet and in control while waiting for the first bites of food is always a challenge. I sometimes wish restaurants would prioritize getting appetizers to tables with small children. That policy would simultaneously help kids, parents and all patrons. The food was good. We ordered the baked rigatoni and the Quattro al forno. Based on trying several others during past visits and catered events, they are two of the most flavorful pasta item on the menu. The spicy sausage in the rigatoni diss his delish! The tomato sauce on the Quattro is nice as well. We order a side of Alfredo sauce which is also yummy. We have had quite a few sub par dishes including the eggplant parm, lasagna and some of the dishes with creamy sauces.

Had a take out. Brought it home and the large ziti looked like a small order. Called and spoke with a manager and she insured me the chef stated it was a large. However she still went ahead and gave me another order at no charge. The service is always great and they stand behind the food. My waitress was Kristen and she who was very friendly.

First of all, the Service is 5 stars. I had lunch with my sister Mishell and Bob a friend of mine from Rogers Jewelers. We had a waiter/server named Carlos that did a sensational service and very personal. My sister order the seafood macaroni pasta...she asked for spicy and Carlos took care of it. I ordered the chicken Alfredo....yummy!!! The manager Brad came by to see how our lunch was. I really appreciate when a manager personally comes out to see how, our food was and took the time to talk to us. The first time I was at Buca di Beppo was in Cincinnati area about 3 years ago. I was so glad they put one in the Florence KY area. I would highly recommend coming here to eat.

Went for dinner, but had an experience...a great experience. We got to sit at the Kitchen Table, which is right in the Kitchen with the Chefs, the expediter, and lots of employees. There were several moments I thought I was in Hell's Kitchen and I loved every moment. They treated us superbly. One perk to sitting right there in the midst of the action is, when they mess up on a dish, you get it. We got a free huge bowl of Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and a huge bowl of Salad. Love FREE stuff, I do. It was awesome to see how much care they took to put together great dishes. It's a little loud in there but I didn't mind. Reminds me of a big Italian Family meal. Yes, we ended up taking home gobs of food, but that's ok. Now we look forward to tomorrow. We all tried different foods and shared different foods, and loved all the different foods - see pics. I recommend any of the dishes we had. This location just opened yesterday. So I give them major props for running like a well oiled machine. They were super busy too.

An overall good experience for a chain. I am into eating italian lately so i shared with the wife what she was eating linguini or somthing and i added a meatball. It was good not great but good... Firstly it was served in a timely fashion the server was great. Secondly, i received my salad promptly, a clean and fresh one at that. Lastly the meal was prepared satifactory, i do enjoy family style. Would recommend...

Okay first off the whole reason I went was because I had a coupon for 50% of Ravioli through my email. I have been to many Buca's and loved all! I was struggling with the wifi to pull my coupon up (before I even ordered). I asked my waitress for help and she replied "Well we have wifi. We need the barcode so oh well." She walked away, a waiter (Austin) heard my trouble and immediately came to help. The food was good as always but our table was cluttered. A very cheerful and pleasant (Justin) waiter took our dirty dishes gladly! I will be requesting a different waitress for my money's worth!!

My wife and I have been a couple times, and our bill is always way more than we're expecting and the food isn't that great. The prosciutto stuffed chicken is pretty good though. Other than that, a lot of the items are hit and miss. We've also had multiple times that the small portion that is supposed to feed at least 2 people barely feeds my wife and I.

Here's a new review since I just had an experience worth noting. First, let's say that the experience started as mine, the wife, and ended as his. That's a bad sign right there. After a few days with the kids both having surgery and getting to go out for the first time in a few days, a friend mentioned going out for cheesecake. That's when our adventure began. I walked in to the majority of the staff milling around the entryway socializing about absolutely nothing with the apparent take-out waitress shoving food into her mouth. After asking to make an order to go of a few desserts I was advised that the take-out waitress would have to go and get her pen and paper. Alrighty then as I waited for her to get done chewing and return to take my order. With the order taken I asked to pay up front as half the family was waiting in the car. She said she'd rather do it afterwards so I could check the order. Mistake on their part. After waiting for a little I sent the child to the car to save myself some wasted energy entertaining her and proceeded to play on my phone. I sat for awhile slowly getting annoyed but still excited for my yummy desserts. All the while I listened to the unprofessional staff socializing and complaining about their horribly slow day that was probably the slowest they had had in more months they could remember. After sitting longer than I could tolerate being patient for I asked the hostess to check on my order. She disappeared and after a long while returned to tell me that it was being packaged. Clearly a fine oiled machine, the manager then came to tell me that the chef was finishing up the desserts. So which is it? Done and packing or still finishing up? At this point the steam was coming out of every orifice. The profanity was overtaking my everyday nice words so I did what i had to do....I told my husband to come switch places with me. Just then the moronic manager walks out with the dessert and asks to settle the check after over 40 minutes waiting for 3 desserts. I advised that my husband would handle it and walked out. Let's fast forward. My husband walks out and tells me the rest. He walks in and the manager asks him to take care of the bill and my husband so no. He'll pay him in 40 minutes. That elicited a smile....not from my husband. My husband asks why the wait and is advised that the desserts are made fresh by the chef. Hard to believe the fresh cheesecake and chocolate cake would cool as fast as they did. Nor do I believe cannoli takes 40 minutes to make. Maybe it's because I was told 10 to 15 minutes. None the less my husband asked why I wasn't notified of the delay. The manager advised that he had (ummmm....5 minutes ago after i had to ask the hostess to check on it). To defend my honor the question then arose as to whether I was in fact a liar. Ooooo! Choose your answer carefully. His response finally was that the desserts were on him. The only correct thing that happened in over 45 minutes. Needless to say, my blood pressure was a little high and the manager was saved a much bigger scene of me acting ghetto with profanity spewing like lava. I am not a fan of yelping though it seems to be my husband's mistress. I think I love his mistress now too. Just wish I could use more colorful words. But in the end there is no number of stars that could express my enthusiasm.

now They only allow ONE coupon per table. Does not matter how many tickets or people. So if you have a couple coupons, sit at the bar and pretend you don't know each other.

Speedy, pleasant service. Food was as expected, though dessert was a surprise. Ceasar salad was crisp and tasty. The kids tried the 1/2 pound meatball. I liked that the marinara wasn't too acidic. Spaghetti & chicken carbonara is a fine compromise dish. For dessert we tried the chocolate chip cannoli. This was my first time at Buca with just family (2 adults & 2 kids) usually there are many adults so choosing a variety of entrees works well. When it is just 2 adults, you really need to think about a dish that you both like. Small salad. Garlic Bread. Small Chicken Carbonara. 2 kids drinks. 1 iced tea. 1 meatball. Choc Chip canolli, less a $10 off coupon from the magazine was $52. May seem a little steep, but food was good. Kids liked it. AND we have awesome leftovers for tomorrow. Our waitress, Sally J., was fantastic. I saw another reviewer had said Sally was a superstar. She was. We'll ask for her again next time.

Great service. Cool atmosphere. Food was just average. I think Olive Garden's food is actually better. I don't care for family style either. It's too hard for everyone to agree on what to order. Be prepared for HUGE portions also.

Excellent service and Sandy J. is a wonderful server. She was always smiling and knew the menu very well. Would recommend to all our friends and family. We will definitely do a return visit soon. Glad your in Florence. Keep up the great service and quality.

Food was good, decor fun, service good. Price might be a little salty but I would go back so must not be too bad. One shot never gives you the right grade.

I will admit I went to Buca with low expectations. I was prompted to go so I did. I had a so-so experience at a different location several years ago. I thought the food was a little overpriced for the quality. I also didn't really care for the "multiple serving size only" portions. Well I was pleasantly surprised this time. While the serving sizes haven't changed, the quality apparently has. I (we) had the prosciutto stuffed chicken, garlic bread and Caesar salad. All of the food was quite good. The new recipe for the garlic bread is much improved, however this is still and additional charge when you get the plain bread included. The chicken prosciutto was cooked perfectly and was quite good. The Caesar salad is as good as I have had in the area. I recommend you probably should have at least three in your party or be very hungry to justify the price and serving sizes.

This is an interesting place. It's much bigger than it looks like it would be. I went for lunch but the tables seemed to be pretty close together so I would expect it to be a little too close for comfort on a crowded evening. Anyway, this place seems to be more about the experience than the food. They have the pope table, they have a table in the kitchen that requires advanced reservations, and they have various rooms. We were seated in the "poster room". The menu seems large. I was surprised there wasn't many dishes with white sauces. Also, salad doesn't come with the meals, but you do get complimentary bread and oil. It was ok. The prices were moderate. There were 2 adults and a child and our bill was $30 something dollars. We did use a coupon from the entertainment book for $10 off $20 total. All-in-all, I prefer Olive Garden and Carrabas. I like have a salad with my meal without having to pay more for it. I also like the white sauces more than marinara sauces.

Made reservations for the kitchen table for 7 people at six o'clock today. When we showed up at six they told us "your reservation was for 4 o'clock and you didn't show". They were absolutely wrong about that but what could we do? They gave us another table. When we called to reserve the table they asked us what the occasion was and we told them it was a birthday. When we got there they presented us with a card signed by the waiters and waitresses which was a nice gesture, but they all said "Happy Graduation". It was funny because the Birthday boy was 45 years old. Overall we were made to feel like an afterthought. They brought all our food to the table and didn't give us any plates. We asked for plates and no one came back. We told a second waiter and he brought us plates finally. The food was good, but we had to keep overlooking the service issues. Guess we have other options.

Well...the thing I've noticed about restaurants that really go all out on atmosphere is that the food usually lacks. The service was really the most outstanding part of our experience since we had a four year old who was having a 'moment' when we were seated, one server noticed and ran to the kitchen and got some pizza dough for him to play with. He was fine after that... Still yet the food just wasn't all that, it seemed very bland for an Italian place and our Shrimp Florentine didn't seem to have much sauce at all. My son had the kids spaghetti and meatball and it had the same problem, nice looking stuff just not much flavor. (yes I did eat from his plate) His meatball was nice size but bland. I never usually need to salt Italian food, but this time I did. I really wanted to like this place but it may be a while before I go back...I would definitely go up in my review if the lasagna and ravioli is any good at all. But right now with a Karlo's and even the Olive Garden nearby, this place will be a third choice. Oh, if you really want to go...go ahead and make reservations online because they don't seem to know what to do with you if you don't have reservations...

Very good food and portions, kinda expensive but worth it. Similar to Carmine's in Vegas.

I have been to Buca(s) before and decided it was just a fun venue. Visited 1/19. 5pm. Told 30 minutes by a very lost hostess who said we should shop for 20 minutes and come back. 5 minutes later they called our name (no pagers). Lemon Chicken, a Raviola, apple gorgonzola salad, garlic bread, kids pizza, kids mac and cheese. Salad was great. Garlic bread was $7 upcharge for what she said was 18 pieces (3 adults and 3 little ones so figured we would take home leftovers). Pieces was right and very mediocre. Kids wouldn't even eat the pizza. Service was slow and untimely. Probably because they gather the entire wait staff to sing happy birthday at what seemed every table. It is very loud and obnoxious in tight quarters. I'd call it the Chuck E Cheese of Italian but the pizza and entertainment at CeC is better. Carrabbas is a much better value for that kind of thing....just no singing.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
