We are vegetarian and the choices are good here. The Moo Shu vegetables were delicious (pancakes are very nice - not tortillas) We also had the sautéed snow peas and they were cooked perfectly. We'll be back. :-)

I've lived in Florence for four years, and am a regular customer here. However, after today, I'm not so sure. Lately we have been ordering delivery, and I've been able to order my meals with the sauce on the side (sesame chicken, general tso's, etc). Today they decided they want to charge me a dollar extra to put my sauce, that is already included in the meal, in a separate little Styrofoam cup. REALLY? A dollar. I know what those little cups cost and that is highway robbery. I'd overlooked other annoyances at this place because the prices were fair for the food, which is just standard to-go Chinese food, but I think it's time I start checking out the other places in Florence to see if I can find better service and better food. Like others have said, the owners can be rude, that is why they get their kids to deal with the customers.

The female owner is very rude every time I've ordered carry out, which has been 3-4 times. They do not have any non-fried chicken options. How is that possible? To me, that means they buy cheap meat and can't serve it in any other style than fried.

Chinese food..delivery AND I can order online! It was a dream come true for us....a dream that turned nightmarish. I placed my order on line with high hopes that it would be faster than ordering a pizza, boy was I wrong. It took an hour for our food to arrive at our house (I live in Florence BTW) and I could not have been more disappointed in what we got. Our food was not only cold it was also bland and the chicken had a weird texture and the vegetables were anythng but bite sized. It was the first and definitely the last time we will be ordering from Bamboo Garden.

I ordered the spicy roast pork with steamed rice, hot and sour soup and a pork egg roll. The spicy roast pork didn't have any heat whatsoever and the sauce was overwhelmingly sweet. I could tell the meat was frozen and it was really chewy. The only highlights were the rice and soup. The rice was fresh and the soup had a lot of pieces of chicken and mushrooms and the soup itself wasn't thick. Although it wasn't sour or hot, it was definitely the best thing about the meal. When I asked for hot sauce (I can see the stupid hot sauce behind the cashier in a fridge) she pointed to a box of soy sauce and Louisiana hot sauce packets near their fountain drinks. Why the F would I want Louisiana hot sauce with my crappy Chinese food? But I figured maybe she was trying to help me because maybe the good hot sauce probably expired 10 years ago. When I got back to my hotel I also realized they didn't give me any silverware.

I agree with Tina S. The female owner is incredibly rude. The food is ok for inexpensive Chinese. I tend to avoid this place simply because I don't want to deal with the owner's bad attitude or hear her screaming at the people in the kitchen. Carry out only, if at all. At least the staff is kind at Red Pepper, located just up the street.

I had their Hot and Sour soup which was pretty good. Then I had Szechuan Chicken with steamed rice. The vegetables were fresh, but I thought they were too large chop for chopstick use. The chicken had an odd consistency. It was sliced very thin, but seemed a little rubbery at the same time. The very red sauce had very little flavor and definitely wasn't spicy. Service was friendly, but slow. I will give it a second try sometime, since any restaurant can have an off day. But I don't imagine this becoming someplace I would go out of my way for.

One of the worst Chinese Dinner to go. I would have gave 1 star, if it wasn't for the Rice. Rice was decent, but the sesame chicken was horrid as in terrible. I took a bite of the sesame chicken...No chicken inside, instead it was all breaded...YUCKKKK. Even the seasoning was horrible. The chicken Broccoli I also ordered, chicken tasted like rubber. OMG, I've been Scarred for life. I would NEVER recommend this place unless this is the last place to eat on earth. P.S. I would not even feed my dog this. :-( Barfffff, not Bark!!!

I can deal with with the meal coming out in pieces, I can deal with inept service. I draw the line when the server tells me that they just got busy (two tables including ours), and for me to refill my own water. The food was on a lower part of mediocre, and the service was non-existent. Won't be back, and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Bamboo Garden is pretty good. I went here today for the first time with my mom. We discovered this place through a coupon that we recived from them in the mail. I ordered the chicken fried rice and theirs is yellow rice, which is my favorite. It was really good, like most of the Chinese resturants I've been to, and I've been to a lot of those. Accompying the rice were two vegtable spring rolls. They were awesome. The staff is extremely friendly, which was great! The service was slow, but it was actually worth it. Will I be back? Yess.

My favorite Chinese take out place in Florence. Prompt friendly delivery and hot food every time. I have had Bamboo Garden delivered twice and take out once. I was pleasantly surprised by the clean and freshly remodeled interior. It is very comfortable and new. Even the restrooms are clean and modern. I highly recommend this restaurant. Make sure you let everyone know so that we can keep a couple of good non-chain restaurants around here!

We decided to try this place after receiving a flyer in the mail about their Grand Opening. We ordered the Sesame Chicken, fried rice and crab rangoon. The Sesame Chicken tasted like BBQ chicken. It had so much sauce it was swimming. The fried rice had more onions then rice. The only reason I am give it 2 stars was because the Crab rangoon was not bad it was very cream cheezy like I like and the shell was light and crispy. The prices are about the same that you would pay anywhere but I will not be returning.

My new favorite Chinese takeout restaurant. The menu is just about the same as every other standard Chinese restaurant, but the food is good, the portions are big, and the price is right. Minimum $10 order for delivery. Lunch specials are all around $5. Very friendly workers.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
