I have traveled around the globe and never experienced a place like this... not in a good kind of way either. A lot of my opinion is to no fault of theirs. There isn't an indoor smoking ban in the area so the older gentleman there when we got there, smoked at least three cigarettes during our meal.... I was hungry and at the start of my vacation, I refused to let that set the tone or put a damper on my dinner experience. I ordered fried shrimp platter. I came with six, fried to perfection shrimp, baked potato and cole slaw. I loved that the cole slaw was brought out before the cooked meal. I did already mention that I was hungry, and the cole slaw was already ready... so that hit the spot. When I started in on the baked potato, I was disappointed that there was a brown layer in between the skin and potato, I assume that is caused by over cooking. I don't eat baked potatoes often and I'm such an awesome cook, that I never have overcooked my potatoes. Ok, I'm lying I hardly ever cook. But it is the truth that the baked potatoes that I have fixed never looked or tasted like that. The bathroom absolutely needs attention, in a major renovation kind of way. If you insist on checking this place out, use the bathroom before you get to this place. Oh, and they only accept cash.

This place is to be avoided. Personally, I tend to like Mom and Pop shops on the secondary highway system. They are often much better than the national chains. As someone said previously, I have traveled a lot, but I differ in their review in that I think this IS their fault ... I think they deliberately prey upon passersby who are passing thru on Highway 27 and don't know better. Order their rib eye "steak" and tell me it doesn't look like a sandwich slice of roast beef from the deli. NOBODY serves a slice of beef less than 1/4 inch thick and calls it a steak and they have the temerity to ask you how you want it cooked. Anything this thin will be well done if you merely heat it up. Their "Deluxe Cheeseburger" had to be created with a rolling pin and a cookie cutter ... you can do better on any dollar menu. The tab for their rib eye and deluxe cheeseburger was $18.02. At half that, it would have been a ripoff.
