Revisited recently and they have expanded the sitting area to accommodate its customers. The place is quite popular as well as very friendly with great food. Order the wet noodles, you will enjoy them. Super friendly staff and even better tasting food. The owners were able to take the same recipe of success that they have with their location on Preston Highway in Louisville (Thai 5 Smile) and bring it to Elizabethtown, KY. Very clean and reasonable priced with superb service and friendliness. The food speaks for itself. Recommend you try the Thai Tea - you will not be disappointed.

Excellent food and service. From pad Thai to chicken fried rice and the Bangkok noodle ( which is my fave!) don't forget the dumplings. Also lunch comes with free soup!!! They are not open til 3 pm on Saturdays though:(

This place really grew on me. In an area where good restaurants are few and far between I found this place to be quite a relief. The staff is extremely friendly and they truly go out of the way to make your experience enjoyable. I have tried numerous dishes on the menu and my favorite was the Pad Kee Mao with seafood. The Tom Yum Gai with chicken is also excellent. They also serve a nice ginger tea which on a cold rainy day is very uplifiting. Give them a shot you will be pleased with any dish and you may even make a few friends.

I love pad Thai and their version was too americanized for me; not enough authentic flavors to the noodle. My friend had curry and it seemed watered down. Service was OK. Prices are OK.

The thing that we noticed immediately was the absolutely wonderful service! It reminded me of my Mom and Aunt who are just so happy for you to eat and enjoy the food that they have prepared for you. If you are looking for Thai food around the Elizabethtown area, try 2B Thai. Their prices are reasonable and the portions are good sizes that I am able to have left overs (my husband usually finishes his meal). We have eaten from here 3 times--twice in the restaurant and once as pick up. My husband orders Pad Thai every time. He's had it with chicken and shrimp. Both have been good. If you ask them to make it more authentic, they do. I can understand why in this area, they "Americanize" their food to accommodate more people. Just ask for it the way you'd like it. They are super friendly and don't seem offended at all. I usually get a curry. The Red, Penang, and Yellow have all been really delicious. The mix of vegetables in it are good. I appreciate that when you order shrimp, the tails are already removed. It bugs me when restaurants have the tail on in a curry! No need to eat with a spoon and your hands both! We also order the shrimp fresh rolls. Those are wonderful. I've only had those kind of rolls at Vietnamese restaurants. There are 2 in an order so if you have more than 2 people, I suggest you have more than one order. Also, if you like Thai iced tea, try it without the cream. It still has that tea and sweet taste but without a lot of the fat/calories. I like to order it this way and felt comfortable asking them to make it this way.

Loved the delicious and freshly prepared food! Great service, staff, and clean! Recommend the Mussel Hot Pot, Fresh Rolls, Red Curry, and Garlic beef dish.

All three dishes - yellow vegetable curry, tangerine chicken, and crispy chicken fried rice were delicious. Staff was very friendly and attentive. We will be back!

Food and service was good. Only issue was the veggies were slightly under cooked.

Clean nice looking place. Service was great and food even better. Had the roast duck, chicken bowl, and beef noodle bowl. All were very flavorful. Normally take home leftovers but the food was so good my family ate it all. The best none traditional food in etown.

A very cosy, small, place with great help and some of the best food in town. The specials are fresh and reasonably priced. Only thing they could put on the menue is bubble tea. Absolutly no complaints about the food or restaurant itself.

Never been to a Thai place and this was a great first experience. Asked the owner for a recommendation on authentic Thai food and he definitely steered me in the right direction. The owner and the staff are friendly, and the food is great.

E-town really needed more international foods and I was very happy to see a Thai restaurant open. The restaurant was nicely decorated and I was focused on a huge (and beautiful) lantern light the entire time I was there. If you've been there, you know what I'm talking about. We had multiple people waiting on us but we weren't constantly interrupted by servers which was nice. My food and my date's food was delicious! Everything had a nice flavor and the portions were big enough to take food home with you. I need an excuse to go back!

Totally enjoyed our first stop here. Mussels HotPot was delicious to the last drop! I loved my Pad Thai with chicken and hubby very happy with his Green Curry with tofu. Great service and owners very friendly. We will be back!

The people that run this place/work here are total sweethearts. If I lived here (please no, please no, please no....) I would be coming here a decent amount I'm sure. The inside is great; very nice, clean restaurant, good dishes, etc. But the food is just nothing special. I had a rice noodle dish and the green curry. Neither were great, just ok. Lot of salt and oil (that seems to be a Kentucky thing....). But I was glad for the sustenance.

So - let me go on record - the food here is tasty and better than most of the food you can get commercially in Elizabethtown due to their ridiculous zoning & absurd regs., which basically leave most independent aspiring food service establishments out in the cold. The service is super-attentive, both for take-away and eat-in. They try hard. It's a cute restaurant and has great, low-key service. What hacks me off is that they've "Americanized" stuff beyond the necessary point, even for this lovely "back of beyond" hole...I mean: I get not serving lotsa traditional Thai things, I get modifying menus...but I just don't get why one needs to modify a simple Pad Thai recipe. I mean, I want the right wide flat noodles, I want egg, I want protein (shrimpies, chicken, or both), I want Chinese sprouts and peanuts, I can go either way on carrots and other veg. But I want a real Pad Thai "sauce" (that means sweet!) - not some sort of weird, off-color, off-taste blah, blah, blah. Theirs has no egg. And minimal peanuts, minimal sauce. And the sauce isn't right. It's redish brownish red, for one thing...WTF??? That's not right. Pad Thai here is like average Chinese Restaurant Decides to Serve Thai Food Pad Thai. I hate that the one place I thought I'd be able to get a fair Pad Thai in KY is such a disappointment. Makes me miss Boston. The Pad Woon Sen is much better than the Pad Thai (which is messed up, as it's a tougher dish to get right). The steamed dumplings are blah - go with the Thai 'purses,' instead. The rolls seem to have a hell of a lot of cabbage and not much else....A lot of appetizers you'd expect to see aren't on the menu. (insert sad face) The curries are good. But the rice portion (at least for take-away) is super small - I'd recommend at least a double, if not triple order of rice to enjoy all of the goodness without having to prepare more (UPDATE: ordered extra rice for my takeaway and wound up with three small containers - which was more than enough. Dunno what I was charged - the bf picked up - but maybe the lesson is to specify when asking for more.) Love, love, love the red curry. It's delicate and flavorful and (or course) available at various levels of heat. Sooooo nommy.

I had the opportunity to meet the owner and the entire staff since they all fawned over my two cute daughters. Everybody is actually Thai. Everything we ate was delicious. The food came out quickly so I was a bit skeptical initially, but everything tasted fresh and was prepared with the perfect amount of spice (you must tell them how hot you want it). This place is definitely my favorite restaurant in E-Town.

We had a great dining experience at 2B Thai. The three of us shared shrimp Pad Thai, curried duck, and chicken green curry. All three were delicious. The wait staff was attentive and knowledgeable about the selections, making a great beer recommendation to my husband. We will absolutely go back.

This restaurant is practically indistinguishable from a Chinese restaurant. The flavors are not indicative of what authentic Thai food should be. The flavors are one dimensional, and they do not have the three to four fundamental tastes that Thai food characteristically has; sour, sweet, salty, and bitter (and spicy). I know this is just Kentucky, but I hope they don't think they can just serve us regular Chinese and call it Thai. Well yes, that's exactly what they are doing. I've ordered the Tom Yum twice, just to give them a chance, after all, sometimes somebody new is working. The Tom Yum had no galangal, or lemongrass in it. When I asked why, I was told that it came pre-made. That means that it was not fresh, and that they were using the Tom Yum powder mix that anybody can buy to make soup. My husband ordered pineapple chicken, I had the red snapper with hot chili and sweet sauce on it. It tasted okay, but again, neither of our meals had those layers of aromatic flavors that Thai food is supposed to have. We gave this restaurant one more try. My husband ordered a yellow curry dish, and I had the garlic chicken. Again, if you ignore the Thai decor, you would think that you were eating in any other Chinese restaurant that you've been to in the past. The workers are friendly, attentive, and food comes out hot and fast. If I just close my eyes and tell myself that I'm not eating in a Thai restaurant, then eating here is just fine. If you've never had authentic Thai, then this place would again be just fine for you.

Two weeks on the road with no luck finding good, much less exceptional, Asian cuisine. Then we found 2B Thai in a most unlikely location in central Kentucky. Perhaps in Louisville or Lexington but not likely in Elizabethtown. Nevertheless, the Thai owner and chefs turn out wonderful dishes. Everything we tried was a match or better than the best Thai food we find in and around New York City. 2B Thai was one of the top three restaurants we visited on our trip...and the other two were much more formal and expensive. On our next Kentucky trip I just might rearrange the routing to insure a stop for a meal at 2B Thai. It's that good.

Super friendly staff, fast service and great food. We always stop in here when we are in the area. Nothing that will blow your mind but a very solid place to eat.

Terrific find! Thank you Yelp. I eat a good deal of Thai food and this is as good as I've found anywhere. We tried Thai wings, WonTon Soup for appetizers, they were both first class. For entrees we tried the Prik King and crisp garlic blacken chicken. They were as good as I've had. The rice was was perfect and the peppered fish sauce (aged) was to die for. If you're ever in this part of KY, make a point to stop here!

Great dinner on our drive home. Friendly service and delicious Thai. The chicken roll appetizer was a good start. Basil Fried Rice and Pineapple Basil Fried Rice dishes were both good, with a nice assortment of vegetables.

Came to Elizabethtown for work twice in six months. Came to this gem of a restaurant both times and it was absolutely delicious both times! I highly recommend the Thai Angel Noodle with Chicken! It's amazing! On top of the amazing food, the staff is very helpful and over the top nice! I definitely can't wait to come back for more great Thai food soon!

What a wonderful surprise to find a nice Thai restaurant. Really cute atmosphere and large portions. Thai dumplings were tasty. The special basil chicken was fresh and delicious. Pad Thai was good but a bit sweet for my taste. Service was friendly and prompt. What made the experience so special is the genuine friendliness and care of Patrick. Love that he has such passion for his patrons and restaurant. Will be back to enjoy to try some more flavorful dishes

I have found that Yelp is great for suggestions when I travel and once again it did not let me down. I have never been a huge fan of Thai food but the reviews were so solid on this establishment that I decided to do it anyway. I read a few negative reviews and honestly I don't understand it. This place lived up to all the hype. I think some people are just incredibly hard to please! Very clean, kind of a quaint local establishment. The service was exceptional. Food was served in a timely manner. Servers were engaging. I saw the owner talk to several people. He was very sincere. Upon checking out we had a great conversation with me on the food. Was genuinely interested in how I found out about the restaurant. I had the Phad Thai with beef and I also had the Thom Yam soup. Both dishes had exceptional flavor. I was really surprised at just how good the food was overall.

Driving through Kentucky, we found this place on Yelp. It's close to I-65. Service was fast. Dishes were $6.75 and $9.95 -- tasty, distinctive, better than fast food that's got the big signs .... Worth a stop.

We stopped in on our way back to Michigan from a conference in Nashville. Yelp brought me in as I searched while my husband was driving and saw all the great reviews. We were greeted right as we entered and seated immediately. The owner was there and if I had to guess I'd say he is every night. He was really welcoming and checked in on us a couple of times, wanting to make sure everything was as we'd expected. The place was packed, we could tell it's a local hit for sure. Our dishes came out quickly which we liked because we were eager to get back on the road. I ordered the Pad Thai with tofu. My dish was good. It wasn't anything spectacular. The sprouts were raw-a weird crunch while everything else was soft. The tofu was lightly cooked on the outside and almost cold inside. It was a good dish overall but I guess it could have been better. The place is clean and taken care of. The ambiance is very calming and comfortable. Would I return to this restaurant? Absolutely! I would try the other dishes offered. Five stars from me for overall experience. Thanks for feeding us!

Family owned with extremely friendly staff. Food was served quickly and was delicious. Highly recommend. One of the only places for ethnic food in town.

Let me tell you-I've been to many Asian restaurants in my 19 years because it's my mom's favorite. So far I have always loved Thai the most, and this place is the cream of the crop. The service is great, the food is so delicious, and the chef even comes out to great us every time after we leave and ask me how college is going. They even gave me bamboo chopsticks on my birthday. This place is the best in etown, the best in Kentucky, dare I say the best in the tri-state area.

    (5)
  • Matt T.

This place is fantastic. I had the live long roll and it was super tasty. I also had the jungle curry, which had a great spice to it and was packed with fresh veggies. The next time I come to Etown, I will be back for sure! The service is great, super friendly people.

Came here with some local friends and enjoyed it for the most part. Food was good, decent portions, however the waitress we got was WAY OFF her game, our drinks never got refilled and she gave me onions, when I specified I was allergic, (she swore they could leave them out). She also messed up the spice level on my toddlers dish. It was supposed to be baby mild, it came out hot enough none of the four adults could eat it (thankfully my husband tried it before serving it to our 2 year old). After the food came she never came back to check on us, so we couldn't get the orders fixed and was double disappointing because our local friends wanted to order the coconut banana dessert

There are not many ethnic restaurants in hardin county so of course I was skeptical on the quality. As soon as I walked in the door I suddenly felt like Ryan Gossling in Only God Forgives. The pastel walls paired with yellow and orange neon lights in the window, the gold Buddhas - I was just waiting for a stage with women singing and an older Thai man to come from the back to shove a switchblade in my eye. Foreshadow of murder aside, it's quaint and with an American staff that seated us quickly. Our waitress was a small blonde woman who gave us excellent service without smothering us or the other guest. Since I was skeptical of quality, I played it safe with pad tai and tofu. It excellent but I did wish the alcohol was listed on the menu because, I mean, it was 6pm, who doesn't want a drink by then? It wasn't until I went to use the restroom that I noticed the selection of beer and wine. Disappointing but I did leave with my life and I will be returning to check out that wine list and the money bags everyone else ordered.

Super friendly service, delicious food!! Occasionally my tofu is undercooked, but it's such a great place, I've never complained about it!

This place is decorated nicely and is very clean, and the people are very nice. The food I had was excellent (Tom Kha Gai, and Basil Duck), but I do wish that they'd removed the inedible stuff from the soup that was put in to flavor it, because I had to keep removing it from my mouth (yuck). It's easy enough to make a soup and then strain it before you add the edible stuff. I'd definitely go back again when I'm in the area!

Delicious, super friendly and attentive staff, and great atmosphere. Can't say enough positive things, would definitely stop here again if I'm ever in the area.

I have low expectations for food in this area, but this place is really good compared to the other options. Plus the staff is super friendly and welcoming and fast! We usually get massaman curry and pad Thai. We have also had the spring rolls. Large portions and quick preparation. Clean and casual atmosphere. Worth giving a try. Close to I-65 exit 94, would be a very easy stop off the interstate if trying to avoid the chains at this exit area.

I was working in Etown and Yelped to see the most high rated local restaurant nearby and this is what I found. I ordered it on the phone to pick up. It was ready at the time promised and the staff were really friendly and fast when I arrived. The shrimp pad thai was hot, flavorful and there was plenty of it to last two lunches for me. I'd go back next time in Etown.

I had a good experience dinning there. The owner is very hospitable and aims to please. Be specific when you are ordering your dish. The fried rice is great.

The food was quick, fresh & tasty. A great selection of different items - everything we had was good. The prices are alright, though I think the sampler appetizer we had should've been a couple dollars cheaper. It was definitely delicious though. Our waiter was amazing as well. Super friendly & helpful. You could tell he really enjoyed serving & helping people make their selections.

Surprisingly good thai food in the middle of Kentucky, just four minutes off highway 65. The service was very fast: we had soup within three minutes of sitting down and our main dishes with ten. On a long drive a great opportunity to enjoy quality food and amazingly friendly staff. Compared to other highway fare available on 65 this is five stars. The staff had our kids laughing and giggling, the owners both came out to chat. Of the three dishes we ordered I think the curry was best. Layered flavors were well balanced with an earthy umami undertone. Seemed crafted with some love. I think the curries are a specialty. We also enjoyed the pad kra prao. I've had pad see yew at a zillion places. The sweet soy sauce was thin here and the noodles seemed more steamed without the brown fry marks that characterize how some places serve see yew, but still tasty enough. Ultimately a great little spot to get fast friendly service a stones throw from the highway with tasty thai food. If you regularly eat thai it probably isn't going to revolutionize the genre, but it represents well. If you are unfamiliar it's a good introduction.

Consistently inconsistent. Never know if it's gonna be good or bad, never know if you'll get a full plate or a kids portion, never know if you'll be greeted with a smile or with a scowl. They need help.

Whenever I go into an establishment of any sort, the first thing I look for is quick customer service (acknowledgement upon arrival), the overall ambiance (how the setting makes me feel), and if its a restaurant--the quality and variety of food that's offered. I must say, 2B Thai has got it all! We were greeted at the door by a guy with a huge smile on his face, "Will this be take out or will you be dining with us?" Initially I was just going for takeout since I was alone with my children, but after that smile and the aromatic scent escaping the kitchen....I had to say, "Yes, we'll be happy to join you!" For starters, I ordered Spring Rolls to keep my kids from turning the place out from hunger. The spring rolls came out almost immediately, steaming hot. I bit into one to check the temperature for the children and to my surprise the rolls had absolutely nothing in them other than cabbage. Although it was pretty bland, the sauce made the spring rolls taste really good. For our entrees, my children ordered Thai Fried Rice w/ Crispy Chicken and I ordered Pad Thai w/ Shrimp. I love Pad Thai but I honestly wish I had ordered the Fried Rice too because the rice was great especially the hint of garlic I seem to taste in every bit. I wish I could tell you something about the fried banana or sticky rice (w/ mango) dessert but I was so stuffed with my entree that we didn't even get to order dessert. If you're ever near Etown and get a taste for Thai food, this is definitely the place to try for efficient, friendly, tasty, and affordable service. LR guaranteed.

Disappointing. Dinner was brought so quickly that we barely had time to relax. The temperature of the building was a bit chilly and I never took off my coat. 3 out of 4 of us had expired cans of soda which tasted funny.

My mother and I we're served a noodle bowl comprised of ramen noodles out of the package smothered with some sort of sodium sauce and what looked like low grade meat surrounding the ramen noodles. Never been so disappointed with a meal in my entire life. The staff even admitted that they used ramen noodles...

  • Shift N.

OK, so we have gone back and had a few more dining experiences here. The service of the young wait staff still leaves something to be desired. The food seems to be back on par with the delicious tastes I originally experienced. Maybe someone in the kitchen was temporarily cramping their style, I don't know. We ordered new dishes with different tastes and shared some food. The food is top notch and the owner is still a happy, personable individual I enjoy sharing some words with.

Really pleased with this middle of Kentucky gem. Elizabethtown is pretty and the people are great but traveling here for business I didn't expect good food to be found. I was really happy to be proven wrong. I had the basic Pad Thai and some Tom Khai Guy soup. Both were really flavorful and unique. You could tell is was made with care. It didn't taste heavy or cheap. Good ingredients, super nice staff and quick service made it a great visit.

I really didn't expect much, as Hardin County is plagued with Asian Buffets; this place surprised me. A delightful and affordable menu, good service, fresh food. Definitely something different for Etown. If the portions were larger, I'd give it 5 stars.
