High Blood Pressure at Applebee's
Most of the foods served at Applebee's restaurants are high in sodium. Unless you are visiting the restaurant or dining here in the group, there are hardly any options from the main meals if you wish to keep your blood pressure in check. Later the company and the Applebee's concept changed hands with Abe Gustin and John Hamra who started the first Applebee's franchise restaurant in Kansas City.

Stickiest table ever. It had the tack strength of a stadium bathroom floor. They ask if you'd like pink in your burger or not. I asked for it pink. There was no pink. Despite this, the food was tasty and with their 5.99 burger deal it was pretty cheap. Our waitress was very pleasant.

OMG!!! First, a whispering hostess asked us "how many"? Took us 3 tries to find out what the hell she was saying. Then, WORST meal ever and cost me $27 + tip. I'm sure this place has to be a money laundering operation. No other reason for it to be open! Lots of empty tables at the height of what should have been a lunch rush on Tuesday at noon. Absolutely Terrible food. A handful of tortilla chips with some lukewarm spinach dip $10? 14 wilted french fries called a "basket" for $2.50. Boneless and flavorless hot wings with no "hot" for my friend and 3 small pieces of celery $10. A ice tea and a kid's pepsi. Then I had to allow the waitress to double charge me for "today" in order to take a .99 cent game charge off my bill that neither of us played. So she says, "You will have an additional $27+ charge on your credit card until it comes off your account." It was as cold as a deep freezer in there and all the waitress could say is "yeah, it's coming out of the vent above you." Really?, I thought we were suddenly transported to the North Pole! Applebees used to be good. Now the food just sucks. Not at all sure why they have bothered to give the exterior of this place a face lift. Waste of money, because I doubt it will be in business much longer.

I am really not that hard to please when it comes to food, and i usually give the benefit of the doubt, i guess thats why i keep giving it another chance after so many dissapointing visits here but enough is enough. Sooo many complaints not even worth going into but just to sum up: bourbon street chicken with no seasoning at all, wilted celery, no manager to be found, dry meatless ribs, increased menu prices for poor food quality, poor service, need i go on? Management better take note quick before this place goes under. So sad too bc I've been a loyal patron of this location my whole life. The only good i can say is the decor is nice.

I ate there last Monday and I'm still not over what a horrible meal it was. Cowboy burger was what I ordered. Cold and meager fries and the tomatoes were the cutoff ends. Could almost see thru them. Waiter said he would take care of it but never did after numerous requests. No manager to appeal to. Horrible experience.

This is an average Applebees. Do not go here and expect to be served or eat food like you are dining at The Precinct. The food is just okay. The service is just okay. You might have to wait and, fair warning, the waiting area is TINY. The bar area is also tiny. In fact, this is a smaller Applebees. Parking can be a major pain. If the lot is totally full, you can park up at the lot for the realtor's office and walk down. I normally order this grilled chicken teriyaki rice dish but they recently got rid of this dish and turned it into a spicy shrimp rice dish. So, last time we were there I ordered the Oriental Grilled Chicken Salad. It was mostly cabbage and crunchy rice noodles with a few pieces of romaine and shredded carrots. I think the best thing on the menu is the won tons. I recommend sticking with the Trio because then you can just get the appetizers and most of the time you can't go wrong with appetizers. The 2 for $20 is also a pretty good deal as it's mostly pasta or fried dishes...again, things that are difficult to mess up. Bathroom is always clean, though, which is a major bonus!

Had a couple gift cards and thought why not give it a shot. Overall service was a little slow, but good. Our waitress, Lindsay, took care of us. The food was only okay, but we were not expecting anything great. Overall we were satisfied and would come back. That said, it was a not really a busy night and the service was a little lacking.

Yeah, I only went because of work. The food is very subpar. I guess it would be a good place to go for happy hour.

Ordered a margarita and it tasted just like the mix. It was absolutely disgusting. Good was decent, over priced for what you got.

I have been going to this location maybe a few times a year. My last visit reminded me why so seldom. We were a party of six. It took forever for our food to arrive & when it did it was bland and cold. The waiter just seemed to be going through the motions. I don't know if it's a management thing or what but considering the amount of money we spent I expected better food & service.
(2)Jonathan S.
Honestly, you can do better thanks to Yelp or common sense. Support a local small business. I bet the food will impress you if Applebees is your "go to" diner. If you come with coupon or during happy hour, the highlight will be some chicken appetizers. Otherwise, over priced menu awaits. With diligent deal searches, there might be some value in eating here on a budget, but the value is negligible. Thankfully, my dad has begun seeing the error of his ways and I may never need to come back! There's nothing flattering to say about the meals, and if you get suckered into buying a cocktail, shame on you. Stick to beer or drinking syrup and melted ice. You've been warned. A comparison to Applebees is how I insult a place. Therefore, this review is pretty friendly for the McD's of neighborhood bars.

Ugh. Here we go again. I had a giftcard. That should be enough said. But anywho. After my last devastating experience at the Applebees in Florence, I decided I would waste my giftcard at this location instead. I came in with low expectations and wasn't let down. Here's the thing. We were seated quickly and the server was very friendly. But in true Applebees fashion, things went horribly awry. My boyfriends drink knocked over because of the tiny table and the excessive amount of stand up advertisements on it. It took awhile for the server to come by and notice this. We had used all the napkins on any near by tables to try and contain the spill. Then there was the food. I had a ceasar salad and a "veggie patch pizza". The salad was awful. Huge chunks of lettuce and large shavings of what I guessed was supposed to be parm cheese but tasted like plastic. The dressing was on the side which is silly, I didn't ask for it on the side and a ceasar salad should come dressed. The pizza arrived completely underdone. The dough and tasteless cheese and vegetables making this huge mushy pile in the middle of the plate. My boyfriend ordered chicken tenders and fries. The fries tasted like they were leftover from the day before. To be fair, the server did get the pizza taken off the bill, even she could see it was a disaster, but it doesn't account for the just craptasticalness of the food in general. She got a decent tip. But I'm glad that I only paid $7 total for that experience. I can only pray no one ever gives me an Applebees giftcard again. I will just have to sell it on Ebay or donate it to someone needy. Or as suggested by other Yelpers on twitter...just use it at the bar. It's harder to screw up alcohol.

We went to this Applebees on a Sat. afternoon. I ordered the 3 cheese chicken penne and my husband ordered boneless wings. After sitting there for well over 30 mins still waiting on this simple order, I actually called them from my cell phone to complain!! I kid you NOT! We sat there for about 35 mins and not ONE person came to check on us at all. We go there so much that we know nearly all of them by name. So after seeing just how bad the service was by me calling from my booth, our food arrived. It was so GROSS! It sure was not 3 cheese grilled chicken penne. It was some type of overly heated in the microwave burnt, now sour cheesy mess! And it had broccoli in it which it isn't suppose to have and it had onions in it too which was wrong. My husbands boneless chicken wings were something of their own variety. Dried out from being nuked nuked and oh yea nuked again, so much so he couldn't even bite through them as they had gotten chewy and hard...ICK! So the waitress with a straight face asks, "How is everything?" I told her it sucked and there were things in my dish that wasn't suppose to be in it and as this complaint went on, I found out SHE cooked our meal because the cook was short handed?!?! And she wasn't sure what went in it and she had to keep re-heating our dishes because they got cold while she was making other things! OMG! I asked for a manager and guess what? One wasn't there until 5pm. We were there at 2pm. This is about the 3rd or 4th time we've gotten crappy food and or service from this Applebees and that's why I'm yelping about it. We'll NEVER go back, their food and service has gone waaaay down hill. It's a shame too. Hope this helps.

'Meh' describes this place perfectly. I think I'm burnt out from coming here too much for the half price appetizers. They've gotten rid of my favorite entrees over the years, and just become less and less appealing every visit.
(2)Carrie H.
This Applebee's only had 1.5 stars before my review, but the good news is Justin just transferred locations! He is seriously a fantastic bartender so if you are looking to enjoy happy hour sit at the bar. Also if you do the Applebee's surveys and Kristi is the manager on duty you will definitely see her. She's is always smiling and always helping out her staff. It's great to see an active manager. I love Applesbees. Their Happy hour is cheap, both drinks and appetizers. Other than that what else can you say? It's a chain restaurant, but the employees inside are what make it, right?
(5)Bobbie M.
Stay home before you go to this place. It will disappoint and the staff is awful!!!!
(1)Sarah A.
It took 40 minutes to get our food. I ordered a soup but it came with the meal instead of an appetizer. My bf ordered his steak medium well but it came out medium rare. He only took a few bites. When the server asked if we were done and we said yes, he noticed a lot of food was still left. He asked if everything was ok and we said no and pointed out the rare steak. He said sorry and brought out the check. No discount was given. The manager passed by our table several times during our dinner and never stopped to ask how anything was. Extremely disappointed. Will never be back. I am sick that we spent that much money on nasty food. The only redeeming thing was my bahama mama cocktail. It was delicious.. Unfortunately, it won't change this review to 2 stars.
