Might be the best place on earth! Great food and great people! The ingredients are top notch and the atmosphere is perfect for a night out with friends. Tell them Steve sent you!

A fun, interactive, and delicious evening learning to roll sushi with friends. Here's the deal... Make your reservations on their website, call them up for payment, and they will tell you everything you need to know. BYOB, they provide cups, and they seat you upon arrival. The couple spend the first 45 mins teaching you how to prep and roll sushi on your own at home (they even sell mini kits to recreate your experience again later). They prep the ingredients and roll 3 rolls for you. Then, they bring out all the ingredients on a lazy suzan and you can build 3 sushi rolls of your own with seemingly endless seafood/veggie combinations. Once you've finished with your sushi creations, you can sit back down at the table and feast on your hard work! It's okay if you can't finish it all, they will box it up for you to take home with you. And on top of that, when I got home I saw that all the pictures that they had taken throughout the night had been emailed to me. Overall, we had a great time and will definitely be back!!

Cool way to spend a Saturday evening with a group of friends or as a couple! Very informative, fun & useful mini-course on sushi rolling. After a 30-min or so introduction, you go to a table and roll! Each person makes 3 small rolls. You get to eat the rolls you prepare, which may be good or bad, depending on your skills ;) Just kidding, the preparation is actually easier than I thought, especially with all the ingredients cut and prepared for you! You bring all the drinks you want, you roll, relax, laugh and eat. Food is plentiful, atmosphere relaxed, really enjoyable experience!

Sushi Cincinnati should be on everyone's 'Top 10 things to do in Cincinnati' list. I've attended twice, and just placed a reservation for my 3rd trip. I highly recommend visiting as a group (large or small) and taking full advantage of the event's BYOB nature. My only warnings: You'll want to be on time, and prepared to sit quietly for the educational segment.

I had a sushi making party at my house over the weekend and was in need of some great quality sushi grade fish. A friend of mine suggested sushi cincinnati as a source and i wasn't let down. Excellent sushi grade fish.

Great experience and perfect date night. You learn how to make sushi thru a quick presentation and the rest is all hands on. You get to make 3 rolls and then enjoy your hard earned efforts. Highly recommend Sushi Cincinnati.

What a fun way to spend a Saturday evening with my boyfriend!! If you're looking for super fancy sushi with crazy ingredients and toppings -this is not your place. If you're looking to learn how to roll basic sushi, with quality ingredients including tuna, salmon, spicy shrimp, spicy snow crab, or pollock (imitation crab found in most "california rolls"), drink your own wine on the cheap, meet new people, laugh, EAT A TON... then this is it! Jack and Deb are a husband/wife duo who know their stuff! They spend 30-40 minutes educating you on everything from the basic "how to cut open an avocado" to how to cook/prepare sushi rice, to more advanced details regarding Japanese knives -very interesting stuff! All while snacking on a simple crab dip and happily drinking wine or beer (or whatever) you brought in yourself (with no corkage or added fee!) Then it's your turn!! You all belly up to a long stainless table with various veggies and avocado cut and ready, pan full of rice and a pile of Nori at the ready! Off you go while Jack and Deb come around and guide you through -making sure you don't screw up your own dinner. Each person gets to make three rolls, each roll makes eight pieces -it's a ton of food. After you're done rolling you go back to the counters along the windows, continue drinking -and enjoy!! It's a laid back, fun experience! All I would change: A greater variety of ingredients -they suggest if you want chicken or something, you can bring it in.... but maybe offer an "upcharge" if you want eel or scallops, etc. Also, it seems like they can be a little rigid about your "form" (respect the sushi!), i.e. I wanted to squeeze a line of the spicy mayo INSIDE my roll, (what the hay, right?) and I almost felt a little bad for wanting to do so since they so heavily discouraged it. Otherwise, everything was grrrreat! Book your spot now!

Looking for something different to do on a Saturday night? Learn how to roll sushi! My husband and I went on Saturday night and had a great time. By the third roll we felt like pros! Definitely check this place out!

These guys are great. It's a married couple (and a few employees) who make sushi for a living and they teach you how to make your own. They're both very friendly and it's a really fun experience. Great idea for a first date.

Went to Sushi Cincinnati with a group of friends and had a blast! For $25 you learn how to roll your own sushi and then get to enjoy a nice sushi dinner. I definitely plan on going back.

My daughter and I went to Sushi Cincinnati and had a great time learning to make sushi! The staff was helpful and made something that I thought was complicated very easy for even us novices to do. We had a sushi party at home with our new skills. Everything was great and would highly recommend. Only downside was the very rude group of four who came late and took up a lot of our time with their chit chat and questions (completely off the subject, mind you). But kudos to the Sushi Cincinnati staff for being respectful of our time and always bringing everything back on target. They really helped turn the situation around so our experience was a great one.
