Skyline chili is the pinnacle of Cincinnati style chili. Some folks prefer Gold Star and others prefer Dixie Chili. My orecerence is for Skyline and this is the Skyline closest to my home. Skyline Chili is NOT Mexican food though. Skyline is Greek chili. The restaurant proudly states that it us Greek chili. Yelp is in error listing it as Mexican.

It was great to have cheese coneys when you get off a 3 hour plane trip.

I've already reviewed a Skyline in the Covington area, but that one closed down, so this one is my new favorite. I could probably say most of the same things, but this one doesn't have a drive-thru, which is the only downfall. However, they did recently extend their hours until 10pm, and it's walking distance from my house, so major plus there. Food is always fresh and tasty from here, the staff is friendly. It's in a convenient location, especially if you work in the area.

Skyline...is skyline. I'm a Dixie Chili girl but now and again, I really want a burrito from Skyline. This location is within walking distance of my office, and it's a gorgeous, warm February day. The staff is nice here-always have been. I noted another reviewer commented about how clean the place is. Perhaps it's that they clean consistently WHILE you're eating. "Can I reach over you and grab that napkin dispenser?" A second later, slosh-sloshing a rag in a bucket of bleachwater (right by my head on their service counter so the smell is...incredibly bleachy). Meanwhile, I'm attempting to read my book (because, well, when one is on lunch break, one usually likes have some downtime from work) she gets out the vacuum and vacuums the entire section--not the little roller vacuum my Grandmother used, an actual plug-in-noisy vaccum. Now, mind you, it isn't like it's 3:00 after the lunch rush is over, when you would expect them to do major cleaning and filling of all the receptacles, it's 1:00. And there are other patrons sitting IN the same section. So I left almost as soon as I finished my food. The burrito was fine, but as far as a place to get some downtime, I'll pass.

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
