This was a good stop after visiting the OKBB. Much younger crowd, and the bartender was a nice guy.

I liked this bar because it reminded me of one of my favorite college bars. The music...the cheap beer...the plastic cups...the wacky dancing...and the sticky floors. I'll chalk this place up as somewhere I'll perhaps visit every once in awhile...with the right people...with enough pre-graming. I apologize for all of the ellipses in this review but they appropriately describe my feelings for this place aka wanting to be indifferent but the nostalgia calls to me.

Now smoke free.... kinda. The main area where all the drinking/dancing/standing around people watching area is smoke free for sure, however in the back room near the bathrooms there is a smokeapalooza section that seems to drift back into the main area, but at least its not that noticeable. Hey, it's KY and I'll take it as a good start. Anyways, this bar is probably hit or miss for most people and I completely understand the low ratings for this place as like most bar/dance clubs, it's not for everybody. I was recently here with a large group of guys and we all had a good time kicking back some drinks and listening to the DJ spin a mostly pop dance remix set. People were dancing and having a good time. The age range was definitely on the young side and I will probably have to seek out alternative places pretty soon. There were no fights, and practically no spilled drinks to be found. Prices aren't that bad so I don't understand some of the griping about overpriced drinks. Oh well, I like Rachel's idea of just stopping in during a MainStrasse bar hop. All in all, a nice place for a group to either get their party started, or just dance/drink the night away.

Nothing great Nothing bad. Just a very average club in the area. If zazou is packed I suggest going over and grabbing a drink. It's an odd setup for dancing but people seem to dance there.

Ok, let's get it out of the way. Yes, this is a Kentucky bar and that means that there will be smoking. Smoking in this bar. Are you good with that? No, then you may want to avoid it. Yes? Ok, read on. This is a neat bar on Covington's main strip. It looks smaller than it is but it actually holds a surprising amount of people. I've been here for a few parties and events and we've never had a problem with space. Of course, when it gets crazier, the service gets a little slow. Still, I've always been impressed with how they handle service. Friendly bartenders and who move quickly. You may have to muscle your wait to the front (or actually wait patiently, which is the much better thing to do) but you'll get a drink soon enough. They also have a really nice semi-hidden patio out back during the warmer months. Just jeep walking back, you'll get there. There's plenty of sitting or standing room. Ignore the smoke and you'll be fine.

I really enjoyed the digital photo booth they have, other than that I wasn't that impressed. The crowd was weird, the lines were long and the atmosphere was all around ho-hum. We stayed long enough to finish a beer and then moved on to greener pastures. Sorry, Pachinko!

More like PaSTINKo! It's what I imagine chlamydia smells like. It's a dive bar that they turned into a bootie-dancing club. If they had asked me, "do you think we can turn this hole in the wall into a rump shaking douche-baggerium?" I would have told them "never in a million years." I was wrong. They did it. Do you prefer bars with music so loud you can't hear people speak and grinding your pelvis on strangers in order to become acquainted? This is the bar for you.

Ah Pachinko's a Mainstrausse staple. I am usually here once a year for an annual company Christmas Party, the amount of free booze that I get is awesome and I always like that. When I do come here and have to pay its always dishartening. Not because the service is bad or that they don't have a good selection, I just have ti pay. I will say that it is more than some of the other bars in the area. I like that they have begun creating a mix of beer and vodka shots. Some are good but others are hit and miss like the Kentucky Birthday Cake. It is something new and a bar that is really known for just being a party spot in the are should be commended for trying something new. I wish that I could give the place a higher rating but it is always crowded and I hate being wall to wall with throbbing dance music and douche bags looking for a fight and trying to be the alpha male. Fine on a slow night but as a weekend spot its not that good.

I have a terrible experience everytime I am here. The staff and people that go there are rude and disrespectful. My friend sat in a chair and got kicked out. We are both nurses and this was absolutely ridiculous. I have reported this place to the BBB. I absolutely BOYCOTT this place.

They have self serve buckets!!! BUT their buckets are at least $3 higher than down the street at Cosmo's... so.... This place at first has a classier feel, with the nice patio and the benches on the walls. But then you realize that it's only meant to look that way, as the people that frequent it are your more preppy, prissy types. This definately seems to be the college aged, get drunk, dance around, stumble out the door type of place. It definately caters to a certain crowd. Don't get me wrong, its a great place to stop, on your way of bar hopping, but hanging out there all night doesn't seem that great of a fit. especially when they're more expensive!! All in all, stop there for a drink and some dancing on the way somewhere, but don't plan to spend your whole night there.

Pachinko's has probably been my longest running, least favorite club in town. It doesn't mean it's a bad place, I just don't belong there. The music is usually lacking in originality, the beer is expensive, there isn't anywhere comfortable to sit and I get this nagging feeling that the other patrons are staring down their noses at me. If this occurred once or twice I would write it off but I've been stopping by this Main Strasse bar since I've been old enough to get in. I guess I'm not the type of hottie looking for a boy to bring home that night, or maybe I'm really not cool enough for this odd collection of Northern Kentucky, hipster preps but I can find better places for myself.

Best Place to Take Over the Jukebox, Tip Big, and Dance on the Bar. One of the spots that you can name drop to anyone who has lived in Nati.

This is a dive bar with an attitude. It's packed with college co-eds spending their hard earned money on drinks. It is usually packed. So, in spite of all of the lower stars that you see, most people are guaranteed to return. Why? Because there are fewer places in the Cincinnati area that have a good DJ, are free to get in, and have a chill atmosphere. I think people are rating in low because they don't want to show that they love dive bars... but they do!

I thought about giving Pachinko's two stars, but I try to reserve that rating only for places where I'd never return. Since I've been to this dive too many times to count, a three star rating is what it gets. Bar service is pretty good and the patio is nice in the summer, but otherwise I'd have to say this place is pure college kid debauchery.
