LaRosa's is my favorite pizza in Cincinnati. Get their "traditional" crust. (It's thinner than hand tossed but not crispy.) The sauce has just enough sweetness without being too sweet. They use provolone cheese instead of mozzarella. If you dine in, the service at this location is excellent. Delivery is always fast and friendly. Above all, their customer service is top notch. No one is perfect, everyone makes mistakes. When LaRosa's makes a mistake, let them know. They will profusely apologize and make things right. Love you, LaRosa's!!

I particularly do not like the pizza here but I do love the appetizer called rondos. I usually get the pepperoni rondos with a drink for lunch. I would eat those in a heart beat.

Before flying home, I stopped at LaRosa's in Covington, Ky. for one last Cincinnati treat. LaRosa's pizza is a chain and while I don't usually do chains, this is local to the area and has been around for 50 years. The one I went to was older, which I liked, and when you walk in there is a mural scene from the original LaROSA's on Boudinot Ave. I don't think the customer service was top notch. I was ignored for a while from anyone at the counter. The waitress sat in a booth with a family I presumed she knew for quite a while before asking if I needed help. I ordered my personal size pie to go and waited quite a while for it. I did eat a slice or two in store. LaRosa's signature pizza is a thin crust variety made with a distinctive thick, sweet sauce and topped with provolone cheese. I ordered the traditional. It is HOT!, it was yummy, but I didn't think it was the best pizza I've ever had. It was simply good pizza. If I was a local, I'd get it again. I am a big fan of thin, crispy crust and super hot pizza.

Long wait times, lack-luster food, and outdated interior are all things that come to mind when I think of this LaRosa's in Downtown Covington. Being rather close in Licking Riverside, it's a short walk away. Whenever I do go, it's never planned, it's usually a last resort for dinner when I don't feel like making something at home. I usually just order the smaller pizza for myself, a side salad, and occasionally a hoagie. To be quite frank, it's not good at all. The only reason I was being generous and giving it two stars as opposed to one is the location. Everything about this particular location is below average. It's understandable that the building is a renovated historic building, but it doesn't seem like the furniture has been updated in decades, the curtains have mounds of dust on them, seats with holes scattered throughout, dingy flooring, and the smell! Not to forget the musty basement smell that invaded my nostrils. The main reason I am upset about the way the interior looks is because for example, you're paying the same price to eat at this location, as you are at a nicer, more welcoming LaRosa's such as the Florence, KY location. The food is ALWAYS awful. I haven't been in a LaRosa's that had even decent food. The crust has always been burnt around the edges, the sauce has always been generic tasting, the cheese is somewhat decent - but not that great. Once you pick up a slice of this pizza, the cheese slips right off with ease. The soda machine has always needed new flavoring or what-not, it's usually always sour. The staff is generally unfriendly, and take forever to give you your less than average food. Hoagie buns are usually always burnt, but I didn't expect anything less as their crust is usually burnt as well. The salad is always yellow and most of the time it ends up being thrown away; cheapest ingredients are used on it as well, making it even more unappetizing. This review may seem extremely melancholic -- it's just that the food is not great at all! It's understandable that it's close to my apartment, convenient, but by no means is it worth the price. For $15 you could generally get a great dinner in Over The Rhine and Downtown Cincinnati at a really good restaurant. I'm never returning to this location ever again, and if you want LaRosa's, commute to a different one.

$35.00 for mediocre pizza and bad wings is not money well spent. Was told delivery would be 30min but took 50min. All around unhappy.

Cutest little pizza creations called rondos were like italian cinnamon rolls. They were amazing but I can't say the same about the boneless wings. The bbq was overpowering and the chicken itself was fatty.

What can I say pretty darn good for a chain. These things called rondos are awesome, better than most chains pizza, good wings and good American salads with all the dressing a junk. Would recommend if nearby and want a quick pizza fix.

When in Cinci, it's almost impossible to not grab a pizza here. I can't seem to drive by without it. I'll even pick one up and take it home 100 miles away.

The staff here is pretty awesome. They were immediately like friends. They came with awesome suggestions and they knew there stuff. The settling was super clean. And the manager is a military. Thank him for his services. Just kick ass crew.

LaRosa's never wows me. It's fine. The calzone sucked compared to HaHa's from a couple weeks ago. The cheesy bread isn't near as good as Donato's. But the JoJo's BLT salad never disappoints. I should just get that. Actually I like the spaghetti with mushrooms too. The Covington location was convenient today for lunch so we headed there - no parking issues.

In all fairness, this pizza has been built up by my buddy as being Gods gift to the world... No.. Yellowtail tuna, Wagyu beef, My homemade pasta sauce THOSE are Gods gift, LaRosa's Pizzeria? Nah. Sweet sauce (as in taste) makes this a "not so favorite" of mine, however I will say the menu is off the hook!! The Rondo's are KILLER!!! I am going to go with a four star on this because of the menu, lots of options and CRAZY dessert options. The service was great during the lunch hour, the restaurant was clean and everybody was friendly. Will definitely be back.

I simply had to write tonight and tell this story. We quite enjoy LaRosa's and have for years but tonight they really when over and above when it comes to customer service. We have a son who is on the autism spectrum and one of his issues is food, particularly textures. He doesn't do sauces, condiments, puddings. Food have to be solid or liquid. As he's grown older he's tried to expand his food range and in the last six months has tried pizzas with no sauce. It may no sound like much but this is a big step for him. Tonight when my husband put in our order the manager called to double-check that we meant to have no sauce on the pizza. I explained my son's situation. When the pizza was delivered they gave us their in-store phone number in case David didn't like the pizza. That kind of kindness you don't see all the time any more. That type of kindness deserves loyalty.

LaRosa's is a Cincinnati staple. You will find LaRosa's in every neighborhood. Mist Cincinnati and have fond memories of a fresh slice at Kings Island near the Beast. The sauce is really sweet ( sugary).

This is a cozy little pizzeria that offers friendly service, good food. Be careful of alley next to restaurant the drivers sometime zip out of there, This is my favorite Larisa's.

Loved this location until tonight when I was told they didn't deliver to my home! But they do deliver to the homes across the street! I usually pickup our order but tonight it was nasty out and didn't really feel like going out. Needless to say I will make the commute to Latonia instead of spending a dime this store!

Some of the lettuce in my salad looked about a week old, and whoever washed it forgot to dry it off, because by the time I got to the bottom, it was more like lettuce soup than salad. The calzone was pretty mediocre. The only good thing was that the lunch special was $6.99. Guess you get what you pay for.

These guys served us personal pan pizzas for free after the Reds got 11 strikeouts. The game ended at 945 we rushed over and got there at 9:58. They locked us in a made us fresh pizza. Others were turned away. This location rocks.

LaRosa's in Covington has more character than many of the newer locations. It is a narrow restaurant with wooden booths. The pizza here is consistently tasty and the salads are good. We usually get a half and half pizza: half vegetarian, half pepperoni. The service is friendly and the prices are affordable. Might be difficult to find parking during the daytime, but at night and on weekends there are several empty lots nearby.

Love their pizza! Their salads are awesome and Buddy Larosa is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet.
