The chicken fried rice and the egg rolls were delicious! The crab Rangoon was just ok, maybe it'll be better next time?

03/25/2015 Horrible. 21$ for two lunches and steamed dumplings. She got chicken Lo Mein and it was uneatable. My general Tao chicken was edible but cheap quality and she didn't grove me enough sauce with my steamed dumpling. Just sayin.

Not the best Chinese food. Ordered the sesame chicken, could not find the chicken. It also was dry. And eating with plastic utensil, that cooth. I would not recommend this place, unless your stranded on a island and that all you can eat to survive.

If you would have asked me to rate this place last year I would have given it 3 stars but after picking up food recently, it's gone downhill. I've never dined in and have always picked up the food. The people who run the place are very nice. The food is what really influenced my rating this lower. As others have mentioned it's a pre-packaged and frozen Chinese restaurant however the way it was cooked recently will make me possibly reconsider going there again.

The key to getting food here is to ask about the specials, not the standard Americanized Chinese entrees. For example, they make their own Chinese hot mustard. You have to ask for it since it's refrigerated. They deliver which is great way out in Burlington where the only other delivery option is pizza. They have a small dining area, but hardly anyone eats their food there. At least 90% of their business is take out or delivery. Check out the lunch and dinner specials and definitely see what's on their whiteboard for the daily specials.

My family loves House of Tang. We get the standard American Chinese stuff, and it's usually great. Sometimes the takeout is a little off, but if you can eat in, it's always yummy. The people who work there are really nice, especially the owner! She's very sweet. I'm always glad to support family businesses, especially when they're this friendly. She makes these doughnut things that are AMAZING for dessert- I'm not sure what they're called, they're just puffs of fried dough in sugar. Try them- they're terrible for you, but a nice treat once in a while.

Best and fastest Chinese around, very nice family owners. Our family favorite.

This Chinese restaurant pretty much tastes like so many other Chinese restaurants in the area--pre-packaged and frozen. I've eaten here many times over the past year, but I go more because it is close to my house rather than for the quality of food. Nothing I've ever had was awful (I usually get General Tso's Chicken or Hong Kong Chicken), but nothing is that great either. Also, they only use disposable utensils even if you're eating in, which seems like such as waste to me. The staff is super friendly and the prices are comparable to most other Chinese restaurants in the area (about $5 for lunch, $8 for dinner).

This place has awesome food for an affordable price. Don't let the appearance turn you away. Small place but very nice and if they forget something they immediately apologize. My wife and I mainly get the sweat and sour chicken and it was really really good. We are definately fans!

Ordering Chinese food from somewhere new always scares me. I've had some bad Chinese food I guess. Just moved to Burlington and tried House of Tang today. The food is good, not great but good. We are vegetarians so I had vegetable friend rice and my boyfriend had General Tso w/ Tofu. We were both pleased. Will order in again.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
