This place is soooo cute. The blue walls with dainty, pretty black, white, and pink decorations. A chandalier in the center of the room. Dangling crystals from the ceiling. Prissy teapots with cutesy teapot coozies. Polka dots, and photos of heels. And the best part? A room of ridiculous fun! Crazy hats adorning walls of shelves. Derby hats, wedding like hats, pink, purple, green, yellow. Fake fur shawls and pearls, pink wraps and did I mention prissiness yet? It is like the fun shop in that Christina Applegate movie where they try on silly, fun outfits and pose in the mirrors. And then it is time for tea and finger foods. An entire page of teas to choose from. Strawberry, butterscotch, raspberry chocolate truffle, cinnamon. Whoa. The spread is super cute too. The sandwiches are very tasty and the scone was savory. The BBQ and chicken salad were probably my favorite. The princess one was good, but very different with some strawberry spread type thing. The desserts were also excellent. Not a huge ginger fan, but the shortbread and truffle were incredible. My only complaint is they were literally finger foods. Which is fine, but it wasn't quite sufficient for lunch and yet cost 16.50 each. A bit steep. But you are paying for the ambiance and this cute little spot has lots of it to offer!!

This liitle gem hidden away in Buckner, Kentucky is the perfect place for lunch!! The atmosphere is fantastic. The staff makes you feel at home as soon as you walk in the door.. of course, you have to tour the amazing boutique items that they have for you to purchase. On my recent visit I had the American Chai as my tea of choice ( I also recommend Paris in a Teapot!). For lunch I had the BBLT (Benedictine, Bacon, Lettuce and Tomatoe on white. SUPERB!! Felt like I was back home in Tennessee!! Will be back again and this time I will take my daughter.. They offer Princess Teas!

Nice place with good, unique teas and decent to excellent food (especially the scones). Service was VERY slow when we were there though. They had a special event that day and clearly did not have enough wait staff to handle the crowd.

My friend & I had a wonderful time at Sisters Tea Parlor & Boutique. The place is beautifully decorated & the food & tea were delicious. We loved dressing up in the hats & scarves & took several pictures. We are already planning to go again. It's a beautiful drive out 22 & we went into LaGrange to look at all the interesting shops after we ate. We had a very pleasant day & look forward to going again.

I took my daughter as a surprise for her 4th birthday. Neither of us had ever been. She enjoyed picking us out hats & gloves for us to wear. I enjoyed the knowledge & pleasant staff. They helped me pick out a lovely pink colored tea for my daughter & another for me to start off with. My daughter, who swore she didn't like tea, loved putting the sugar cubes in her own tea & decided to give it a try. She LOVED it! I tried a few teas & as a lover of tea, they were all of high quality & delicious. I highly recommend the pumpkin crème. As for the food...we shared a three tier trey. My picky child enjoyed it & I felt like I was noshing with the Queen of England. Absolutely delicious & a stunning presentation. I really loved trying the various tastes & textures. There really wasn't anything I didn't thoroughly enjoy. Our waitress surprised my daughter with a cupcake & candle to blow out & make a wish. It was really a perfect day, with perfect food & tea. The ambiance was lovely. I will be back again soon. It's a must try.

I wanted to love Sister's. I really did. I bought the Groupon for tea for two and was so excited to use it. There were some great elements of our lunch, but overall we left underwhelmed. When we walked in we were immediately greeted by an extremely friendly hostess and introduced to our server. We were told we'd have a short wait for our 3pm reservation. While we waited we browsed the adorably cute gift shop. They had gorgeous hats (perfect for Derby), tons of delicious teas, and a great selection of gifts for wedding or baby showers! There is also an area for little girls (or big girls, in my case) can play dress up. I loved the gift shop and the decor of the entire parlor! Lots of pink everywhere and super girly! When we were seated, our server, gave us great descriptions of all the teas and her favorites. My mom got the Buckingham Palace Garden Party and I went with the Almond Cookies. The teas were divine! We were starving when the food came out, but none of it was as great as I had heard. The cucumber crown and the roasted red pepper biscuit with white cheddar and pepper jelly were the only things I really liked. I was especially let down by the desserts. I was really looking forward to some out of this world sweets to go with my yummy tea. We only paid $18 for the three tiered tray and two teas with the Groupon. Normally, it would have cost $42. That's a lot for a lunch that didn't fill us up! I would only go back with a Groupon. The hostess was super friendly when we checked out and our server was wonderful. I just wished the food had been better quality.

There's just something about having high tea that makes you feel pampered and relaxed. That's why I did some research to find establishments close to Louisville that offered High Tea on a regular schedule rather than as a special or seasonal evert. Sister's is a quick 20 mile drive to Buckner up I-71 (non rush hour time). Make sure you check out the website for the month's menu and call for a reservation beforehand so you are guaranteed a spot! The front of the space is dedicated to a boutique and a tea bar, where you can have quick cuppa or grab a to go order. Three rooms and a little cubby space are further in the building. You pass coat racks with hats that you may borrow to wear during your tea. This creeped me out a bit (communal hats) but most of the female patrons were loving them. Our table was int the blue room. I was surprised to see several tables filled at 1 pm on a weekday, but it seemed as if most were Mother/Daughter or special occasion gatherings. The noise level in the space can get a tad loud and the tables are fairly close. You won't have a serene experience unless you snag the little cubby that only fits a single table for four. Our young server was peppy and well rehearsed with her intro on the many types of teas available. I ordered the almond cookie (iced) and mom had the Sunshine in a Cup (also iced). The server's language was some what confusing as we thought beverages were included in our reserved tea experience. However, the tea itself is actually an extra charge. Thankfully, it's unlimited and you can try multiple flavors. We were even offered tea to-go before we left. I pre-ordered three tiered, tea trays - one vegetarian for me and one regular (no pork) for my mom. The presentation was adorable and the wide array of homemade tea sandwiches, scones, and desserts was delicious. Our high tea was a fun outing, but with a tab of almost $50 (including tip) it was some thing that will be reserved for an annual treat. If I see any Groupons in the future (they were sold out this time), I'll definitely grab some!

This place is great! It definitely lives up to my expectations for a tea parlor! With its elaborate place settings and formal decor it's quite whimsical. Sisters Tea does a great job of making it feel fancy but not stuffy! Be been here twice now and had a great time both and fully plan on coming back again! PS They even have freebies for your birthday and a rewards program and an email program! PLUS there are groupons that are more than 50% off!!

This one of my new favorite places and I absolutely can't wait to return. A friend and I used a Living Social coupon that I'd purchased for the three-tiered tea tray for two people and bottomless tea for both of us. It was so much food, and it was all delicious and fun! Looking at the prices, we both agreed that we felt like the full price was very reasonable for what you get. Their menu had other treats we wanted to try in the future, too. The salad sounded especially good. And the tea. Holy cow. We tried six different kinds! Six! Each one was wonderful and flavorful. It was a little intimidating trying to choose but our server was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. It was such a pleasure to chat with her and she made the whole experience extra fun. I really can't say enough about this place. I want to return and bring everyone I know that enjoys tea.

My family of 10 enjoyed High Tea at Sister's Tea Parlor in early July and we all loved it! I live in Colorado and was visiting my family in Louisville when my daughter suggested we go out for tea. After much research, we settled on Sister's. One thing that attracted us was the allergen friendly menu - very difficult to have high tea for gluten free kids. My mother is also nut free and they could accommodate her needs as well. We all had a wonderful time.....including the guys!

I LOVE Sister's Tea Parlor! I've been here several times with family and friends and each time the food and the service has been delightful! I will say that each time I did call ahead for reservations each time, and they had us seated and were making our trays within minutes of arriving. When you walk in there's a little shop with tea items to buy, but also local jewelry and scarfs, picture frames and all kinds of other things to purchase. And then there's the dress up area so you can try on different hats, scarfs and jewelry if you want to (just don't wear your gloves while you're eating). And lets be honest here, I'm a 26 year old girl and I've had a blast each time dressing up! When you're seated you get to choose your tea flavor, and the pots are unlimited. The Buckingham Garden Party and Paris in a Teacup are two of my favorites, but the nice thing is that if you don't like what you have, you can order another flavor. You can get a two or three tier tray of food. I will say that the two tier tray will feel you up, but I like the extra options on the three tier tray (and you can take some home). You'll always get their chicken salad sandwich and some sort of scone which comes with lemon curd (YUM!). And there are always plenty of dessert options :) I've never been to any of their themed parties, but I'm hoping to go to the Downton Abbey one in January!

I recently hosted a baby shower at Sister's Tea Parlor and could not be happier with our experience and the staff that supported us. The location is absolutely beautiful with several rooms to choose from (we were in the elegant Gigi's Drawingroom) and a boutique that features local goods and unique gifts. Kelly and the event planning staff arranged a seamless day for us including finger foods, an adorable tea service, an attentive waitstaff, party favors, decorations and cake. When we wanted to bring in mimosas they accommodated my request despite the fact that they could not serve. Every step of the way Sister's were flexible and for the service we received I was happy with the pricing. I watched grown women dress up in flowery hats, baubles and scarves during the event. Sisters' whimsical location allowed even our most elderly party members the ability to be little girls again and play tea party. If you have a little girl who likes to play dress-up you absolutely must stop in for tea time. They have special events (like an upcoming Wizard of Oz high tea in October) and Sister's will make your afternoon special and memorable. They are somewhat off the beaten path for Louisville residents but 10 minutes up 71 gets you to them and the parlor is just off the interstate. It's well worth the drive, just ask your little girl (or your little-at-heart girl) after you've taken her there for tea, I'm sure she will agree with me. Helpful hint: Make sure to make a reservation - check our their website for when they're open. sistersteaparlor.com
