If you want some simple country style food this is your place. No shortage of gravy bread and rolls to go with everything. Sort of the like any other chain this is a place you go into knowing what to expect and setting your expectations accordingly. If you want gourmet cuisine this isn't your place. But a decent chicken fried steak (or chicken fried chicken) with gravy and couple southern-style sides and you are at home. Never have I seen alcohol on a Cracker Barrel menu so maybe its a corporate position, so expect tea, sweet tea, or other when you eat.

Cracker Barrel is one of my favorite restaurants, and this one certainly does the chain justice. Great food, great service, great price. It is not anything unique, but it is a nice place to gather with friends.

I am new to Southern food. I ate here 3 times so far and absolutely loved it. I would return to try more of their great dishes. Their prices are very reasonable and the food is of a high quality. I always enjoy browsing around at their store, and end up getting some candy and little souvenirs and gifts.

After a meeting in Berea college, my friends and i thought we'd go out to eat somewhere that was cheap and delicious. When driving through town we spotted the cracker barrel and stopped by for some food. It was delicious and i loved it.

I'm surprised at all these low reviews. I had no problems at this cracker barrel! We didn't have to wait for a table which is typical of the cracker barrel by my house. The food came out quickly, the order was correct, and it was delicious.

Decent Cracker Barrel. The service is usually decent, and the food is average for this restaraunt chain. My only complaint with the food is the packets of butter. They are so hard that you can't spread the butter. My other complaint is with the store part of it. They are so bothersome that you can't even browse the items without being pretty much followed like you're about to steal something.

Once upon a time, my brother called me when I was shopping at Crate and Barrel. I told him where I was, finding all these cute things and his response was "Really? Isn't it kind of country?" That's when I realized he thought I said CRACKER Barrel. Well tonight, I WAS at Cracker Barrel...right off I75. From the rockers on the porch to the country store just inside, it IS just what my brother imagined. My gram, mom and I needed something after a long time day. This particular location of this chain is very convenient, clean and our server was quick to meet our needs. I really appreciated the accomodations when we needed them and for that, I would give it a thumbs up to travelers and locals alike.

You have a certain mediocre(?) expectation when eating at a Cracker Barrel...and this was not even that. The service was good enough, but two out of our three side orders were wrong and we honestly were in a bit of a hurry so didn't worry about it. But all the food was just kinda blah. The biscuits and gravy were NOT what I was expecting (my fault for not comprehending the menu, but smokehouse gravy does not equal sausage gravy in the least--it tasted like smoky flour gravy--yuck) and even the sausage tasted a bit strange. Hubby's mashed potatoes were a strange hardened pile, though they were slightly warm and a little tasty. Overall, I would have rather eaten at McDonalds.

Needing a place to feed the hungry fiance, we chose Cracker Barrel for its good filling food. I was not hungry and didn't know what to do. However, our waiter, Nathaniel, very politely showed me the perfect thing to order for my situation. It was a parfait with bacon and eggs, as well as a muffin. I ate all of it except the muffin, which I took and ate as a bed time snack. It was delicious and I was very pleased with Nathaniel for the rest of the evening. He kept our glasses full and checked on us often.
