Catfish Kitchen is a local staple restaurant. They specialize of course in catfish but also offer a chicken option and frog legs (which both myself and wife had). The initial offerings of white beans and coleslaw is fantastic and I could eat my weight in both of these before ordering. their house relish/dressing that is in bottles at the table is outstanding and I could also drink a glass of it. The disadvantage here though is everything is fried (deep fried) so if you are looking for a blackened catfish or something that perhaps is not well fried I would go elsewhere. They do a great job at frying but of course everything tastes exactly the same....like the frying oil which is ok if that is what you are looking for

Super fast service and fresh fried catfish, beans, hush puppies, slaw. Can you say southern food at its best. Yum yum!

Yum! Best hush puppies ever and the catfish is pretty darn good as well. Husband and I are on our way there now from Nashville to meet family from Paducah. Two hour drive to this place is worth it. Fun, causal family atmosphere is perfect for Sunday dinner. Make reservations, really!

My family had a lovely experience at Catfish Kitchen! As soon as we sat down we had slaw, hush puppies and beans on our table and drinks right away. The service was very friendly and speedy. Once we ordered our food was on our table within 5 minutes! The breading on the catfish was light, crispy and delicious. We plan to make this a family tradition when visiting the area!

Lovely location by a lake and watch the geese. Kids can feed turtles, fish, and geese if your waiting for a table. Great catfish, shrimp, hush puppies and slaw. The hot sauce was awesome and can be purchased by the jar. Service was great!!

This is the kind of place that you get off the main road and go find! The atmosphere is so unique and the home cookin is 2nd to none. The hush puppies and beans and catfish will blow your mind! If I'm anywhere close to this place again, I'm stopping in. Not to mention that the people working there are so nice that you may just make a new friend while your there. The view is great cuz it's on a lake and the old school classic decorations are one of a kind. If youre close and you don't go here, you're and idiot!

We love this place. Located in the county off Highway 641 is this great location. There is a pond filled with catfish just outside the door of this restaurant. Also some geese and dusks around the pond that the kids (and grown ups) will enjoy. The kids love feeding the fish. This is a rather rustic looking building and not all that large inside. There is a small gift shop inside. The fried catfish is excellent as are the trimmings which include beans and hushpuppies. The prices charged are really great. No where are in Dallas can you get this kind of food and this kind of service at the low prices charge per meal by this restaurant. The parking lot is dirt and gravel so wear your blue jeans and you will fit right in with the locals. This is not a fancy New York style restaurant---just down home cooked catfish.

Bummed...been looking forward to catfish for 200 miles and find out their not opened! Someone should put their hours on here! This is a Saturday, open 4-9? Maybe next time through....we'll try again! It sounds like they have good food!

Catfish Kitchen really makes you feel like you are in the backwoods country. The decor is something special in that it feels like you truly are in the country. The food was a little disappointing. My wife and I ordered the fried catfish and chicken combo. The catfish was just average, and I had hoped to get something fantastic since it is called the Catfish Kitchen. The fried chicken seemed to be something like you'd get at Wal-Mart and dump into the fryer. There was an option for baked catfish and chicken, but it was for call-ahead orders only, which was also a little disappointing. For the price, I could likely cook the same quality of food, if not better. I may consider going back if I called ahead to order the baked catfish. Before leaving, my wife and I fed the ducks and turtles leftover hushpuppies, and that was probably the best part of the visit.

Will never come back here, owners very rude, service is awful! Don't waste your money coming here!

Great place for catfish and chicken dinners. Meals served family style. Dinners come with the best white beans, slaw, hush puppies and potatoes. Great views overlooking catfish pond with lots of waterfowl hanging out. Its fun to watch the geese at feeding time.

We love this place! This is one of our must stop restaurants when we visit Kentucky. The food is always great, the service is always great, and the atmosphere is always great! I usually go for the 2 piece catfish/2 piece chicken combo, but the hushpuppies and beans are almost a meal in themselves! No one does catfish better!
