Had the tuna steak stuffed with crab and it was very good. Had sides of sweet potato tots and Mac and cheese. Will stop by next time we are in the area.

Three things... 1. We decided to eat here because of the Yelp reviews. However, it was just a basic diner. 2. Almost 75% of their menu is frozen and fried. I asked before I even ordered. I am not a fan of McDonald's type food at a diner and pay $50 not including tip for a family of three. My husband ate crab stuffed tilapia. He noted this wasn't good at all and tasted fishy. I ate the the marinated ribeye. It was good and cooked well, but it was thin. My baked potato was fresh and delicious. My son had a child's chicken tender. He enjoyed it. I tried it and even though it was frozen, it was better than McDonald's. The salad bar was great. It could have used more vegetables for salad, but it had some unique items, all the items were fresh and tasty. There are about 20 types of desserts. However, I learned only 4 were fresh. So, I had peanut butter pie. It was good, but not something I will drive for. Food was served fast and cooked as specified. 3. The staff was nice. Some seemed happy to be there and some were just doing a job. The last thing I noticed was that as they were closing down the salad bar they put lids back on the salad bar items from a drawer in an antique buffet piece. I didn't look very closely, but this seemed unsanitary to me considering this was going on food to be put up and reused tomorrow. Overall, it was ok. However, we will only go back if we happen to pass it.

Local restaurant that seems very popular with the local community. It was very crowded when we ate there and customers clearly knew each other. Wait staff very friendly. All around a nice environment. We arrived too late for breakfast, so had sandwiches instead. The philly steak and rib-eye steak sandwiches were tasty. sweet potato tots and slaw were both very good. Overall, a good place for a meal if you are passing through.

Southern Fried Cookin' with Pies, Pies, Pies. If you leave hungry it's your own fault. Owner Rodney serves to please. Salad bar, marker boards show Specials, Sides of the day and Desserts. Always Clean, Foods Always Hot and Service is.. "Sugar, let me get you some more to drink, Friendly" My Fave place to eat in Ohio County.

This place is awesome. Good comfort food at very excellent prices. They have a standard menu, and their sides and specials are on the various markerboards around the restaurant. Salad bar is nice, with a good selection of items. It's definitely a local hangout (what place in Beaver Dam isn't?) so you see lots of folks greeting one another, and the owner is always there checking in with tables to make sure everything is okay. I never ate a bad meal here.

This is a good little mom and pop eatery. Comfortable surroundings and convenience of being right in Beaver Dam. This town hasn't had much in the way of diners for several years. And I hate to say but I believe that's why this restaurant stands out. It's not that the food here isn't good, but only that it's about average. The food here is fairly bland. Not terribly, but more than a food boasting country food should be. Breakfast and lunch are pretty consistent in this. And while I do eat more than I should in a setting, I do believe the portions could be bigger. But that said the prices here are more than fair for the portions you get. So maybe I should be ordering double entrees. This places greatest asset is it's staff! Very friendly servers and kitchen staff who are always eager to help and smile the whole time. The service here should be an example to all other restaurants in the area. I will be a repeat customer here.

This is a fantastic little restaurant. Our first visit was a year ago, when we were just passing through town on our way to Tennessee. The parking lot was packed, so we figured it must be a pretty good place. Everyone in town seems to eat there on Friday night, and they all know each other! Folks coming in would stop at almost every table to say hello to friends, and the same with people on their way out! Our server was pleasant and welcoming and we felt like regulars ourselves before long. And the food is outstanding. Not fancy or haut cuisine, but good country cooking done right. How good is it? This last weekend, my wife and I made a special trip from Dayton, OH, just to eat lunch at O.C. Café! Perfect fried catfish, green beans that were perfectly cooked in true Southern tradition (with a big chunk of bacon), perfectly crisp onion rings. This place is definitely worth going a bit out of your way to find, especially if you're travelling anywhere in the area. And, once in a while, it's worth driving four or five hours to have lunch with friends!

Driving through and checked reviews for local restaurants. The ones for this place sounded very good so we gave it a try. It is a great place and lived up to the reviews. The place is much bigger than it looks and it was packed when we arrived around 11:30 on a Friday. Menu shows lots of choices and the specials board had some good sounding meals also. I had the 1/2 smoked chicken with 2 sides for $8.99. My husband had the double hamburger basket which comes with fries for $7+. The burgers were 1/3 pound each. We also ordered some Vidalia onion rings for $2.59 and they were great as well. Friendly people and lots of locals. Everyone seemed to know everyone else and spent time talking before they took their seats. Will definitely go here again if we are ever in the area.

We stopped by the OC Cafe during a marathon, cross state road trip. After hours on the road, the highway sleepies had set in and we needed something caffeinated, STAT. I was desperate to not have to resort to gas station or McDonald's coffee and forced everyone to drive until we found something local. The OC Cafe hooked us up with a pot of coffee, a slice of peanut butter pie, a hot fudge ice cream layer cake, and a pile of spoons for sharing. Thusly caffeinated and amped up on sugar, we hit the road. Our waitress totally rocked too.

Fast and great service! The 7 oz slow cooked strip steak was very tasty! Definitely a home town kind of place. We would definitely recommend it!

This is My Second Trip to OC Cafe in 2 Weeks! The 1st visit was by chance . On Our drive to Nashville We Stopped at Rice Pharmacy ( Great Little Unique Gift Shop , They Also Carry Every Imaginable Color of Fiesta Dinnerware ) I asked a Local Elderly Woman if there was a good , cute little diner close by . She directed Me Here. They were having Their Bar-B-Que BlowOut this particular Day ! OMG ! This Place Was Packed ! Inside & Out! They Actually had a Drive Up Window with Cars wrapped around the Front of The Restaurant ! There was one booth in the front dining room so We slid in that & was Promptly Waited on by a very Friendly Young Woman named Cindy . As Out-of Towner's We are being scrutinized By The Regulars Here,as Everyone seems to Know one another. Cindy explains The Board on The Wall with All The Days Specials . Barbecue Was Awesome! Chicken, Ribs & pulled pork ... Left with a Full Tummy & a Smile on Our Face! Ok So The Return Visit We End Up Here Again On Purpose So We are Expecting it to be good again but not Awesome Again Monica , Was Extremely Friendly Sat Down With Us and Was Asking My 85 Year Old Mother For Some Of Her Best Home Cooking Recipes . She Is Excited To Return There and Share Some With Monica !
