Needed a quick lunch when we arrived in town. We ordered the bourbon burger with onion straws and the bourbon fried chicken with onion straws. My summary - it tasted like it all came directly from Gordon Food Services reheated, lathered with sauce and served. Now, the service was friendly. However he didn't notice that only one bite was eaten from the pasta salad so sadly that wasn't taken off our bill. The pasta salad was mushy and must have been soaking in vinagrete for days. We did however return the next morning simply out of convenience for breakfast because that was highly touted as well. Kept it simple with fried eggs, bacon and a bisquit.. Pretty sure anyone can pull that off successfully!

Service took forever. Food was just okay. All it really did was fill my belly, nothing to write home about. It would have been cheaper & just as good if we went to Hardees. Only reason we stopped in was because nothing else was open. I could care less if I ever go back again.

Hands down the best burger I have had in years. Got the opportunity to meet mammy herself. Talk about some great people and even better service. Thanks so much yall. We all had the bourbon burger and had to head out quick for the Mint Julip tours. I would recommend making the drive for this place. I bought some extra BBQ sauce and plan to ship it back home to Texas. Love it.

This place is really good. Their hot brown is phenomenal. The waitress, Johnnie, was awesome also.

Went to mammy's while out bourbon testing with friends. Got a burger, 4/5, friend got a Reuben, 5/5. Tonya was an outstanding bar tender, out going and friendly. Paul made sure my dishes were squeaky clean, and was also helped with everything we needed.

I went to this restaurant while visiting family in town. The 4 of us went in to eat. We sat down and 3 different servers came to our table to get dink orders. Then 1 of them came back to take our food order. My aunt asked twice to see when our food would be ready. The second time of asking she was very rude and said it should be out soon a large party came in before us. Did I mention at this time we had been there an hour and 15 minutes. No one came to refill drink or come check up with us. The manager was running around like a chicken with its head cut off instead of going back to get the kitchen moving. Unfortunately for them they lost 4 people because we just got up and left. This is the only time I will be there.

I had always wanted to try Mammy's Kitchen so tonight was the night. Our order was placed and at the time we were the only people in the area. Waiting and waiting. Then 4 other tables were filled and they had their food before we did. Not even our appetizer had arrived. Finally I had to go and inquire about that. It was gummy and tasteless. Kingfish has better "fried green tomatoes" than this place. No food yet. then the waitress arrives and puts the wrong food before me. I had observed her trying to put the wrong food in front of another customer across the aisle just before me. If you want cornbread don't go here. It's the size of a plate and looks more like a pancake and taste like a sweet one at that. Nothing like cornbread. A piece of mine had pieces of black ash on the bottom. On top of that our silver ware was dirty and we had to clean it with sanitzier hand cleaner. The food was terrible. Nothing like home cooked country of what you would have expected in a place called Mammy's Kitchen. It was not to be eaten and couldn't be eaten. The entire meal was left on the table. We will never go there again. I would not rec the place. Another table was complaining about part of their meal as well. The service was poor, long wait, and terrible food. The pies looked great, but when they were served they arrived in many pieces all broken up. There may be some things there that are good, but this stuff was worthy of the garbage can. Went to Dairy Queen for an ice cream cone.

This place is a Bardstown staple. If you're in the area for a couple days, be sure to stop here. The food is always good (I love their chicken fried chicken special they seem to run fairly often) and you small town southern harm vibe that many people expect when visiting here. My only complaint (and not to say that this happens often) is that when they do start to get busy, the service seems to slow down quite a bit

Was good but nothing spectacular. My mom had the hot brown and was gravely disappointed. Burgers and other basics were enjoyed by everyone else though. Staff was friendly and attentive, but the place was a bit chilly. Desserts were the best part of the meal.

I was so pleasantly surprised and wowed by Mammy! I mean, I believed it because it was recommended on Yelp and everything, I just wasn't expecting to be so impressed. We apparently entered through the back. We were going to sit at the patio, but once we entered the actual restaurant and I seen the reclaimed wood on the walls and the dessert bar, that was where I decided to sit. Service was excellent and my husband and I chatted with who I think was a manager, for a bit about the history of the restaurant and it's reclaimed wood walls. Food: I ordered the Baby Brown, which is a smaller portion of their regular sized hot Brown. That thing was pretty big! It was one of the best ones that I've had. For those of you who don't know what a hot brown is; it's turkey and ham over toast, smothered in white gravy like sauce, topped with a tomato, cheese and bacon. Theirs had the Thanksgiving kind of turkey in it. Not like the usual hot brown, that usually has delilike slices of turkey and ham. So you definitely have to like turkey to like Mammy's version. My husband got the mushroom and swiss burger. I noticed that the mushrooms were the canned kind, but he didn't complain about it. He said he would give the burger a three out of five stars. I was stuffed, so I didn't have a slice of pie, but since we sat at the dessert bar, I seen every pie option that they had... butterscotch, chocolate, coconut cream pies to name a few. The fluffy meringue stood up and the pies were about five inches high. They weren't stingy with the portion of the slices either. Today I'm dreaming about that slice of pie that I missed! Don't pass up dessert, you will regret it later. I also had a mixed drink, that had Willet bourbon and Country Boy beer in it. The bourbon taste is strong even when it's mixed with beer. This is in the heart of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail, so you have to try something with bourbon in it. And if you don't know about the Bourbon Trail, you must check it out yelp.com/biz/kentucky-bo…

Hard to figure out just where to park. Lots of signs were NOT to park! That tells me they are busy. Miles did a great job. Saw reviews on here about chicken fried chicken & mashed spuds. They were not on the menu so I ask. Miles was able to get everything we wanted. He explained that the butterscotch pie is more of a burnt sugar and I loved it. Everyone working was hustling. Gift shop under construction & I can't wait to check it out. Love the tshirt that said 'thank you darlin'

This seems to be a well known spot and the dining room was packed. The wait for a table was 45 minutes to an hour on a Saturday at 6pm, which isn't unexpected. We elected to sit at the bar and had drinks in front of us without 5 minutes. The staff was pleasant. There were two large parties ahead of our order so it took about 30 minutes for the food to arrive. However it was piping hot! Food was average, hence the three stars. It's glorified bar food. The chicken tenders were lovely, fries were nice. The burger appeared grey and unappetizing with wilted produce to top it. The ribeye sandwich is a slab of meat on a hamburger bun. Nothing more. The desserts looked lovely! Three of us are for $33 with tip.

Six of us went here for lunch today & it was great! Good service; friendly staff; clean; & quick. We had an open-faced beef sandwich, a bourbon burger with onion straws, a chicken salad sandwich and two hot Browns, plus chips, fries & tater tots (the little one had PB&J; all were terrific. Topped it off with a slice of chocolate pie and one of caramel pie to share. We will return, as they run a good place & the prices were very reasonable.

A group of us ate at the old location a while back. It was excellent! All of the food was delicious and had that made-from-scratch-by-Grandma goodness you'd hope for from a place like this. If in the area, I'd stop again.

Super friendly staff, great atmosphere and a menu full of options. I had their bourbon burger and it was very very tasty - the glaze wasn't too sweet or overpowering but not so subtle that i had to wonder if there was anything going on under that bun at all. It was a little confusing initially trying to figure out where to find the host station (We'd came in through the back apparently) but that's a minor quibble.

The atmosphere and decor are so fun! The wait staff was really attentive and friendly. We had chicken fingers, burgers, turkey sandwich, and grilled chicken. Everything was wonderful! The prices were great for a fast sit down meal! Highly recommend!

Great food and service. Had our first Hot Brown, which was great! They roast their own turkey, which was amazing. Stingy in the drink pour - but very good selection.
