Grew up on this food when it was in Barboursville. Not fancy. But good food, good people, decent looking store. This is a good place to bring your family. Staff is accomodating to your family. Still great food. Salsa is still some of the freshest I've ever eaten. Ther ground beef Chimi is my go-to. Queso is great. It's just spiced up velvetta but their flour chips go great with it. This is the definition of Tex Mex to me since growing up. Well, that and Chili Willis and a bowl of Red. But they're gone now.

Stale chips, margaritas come from a mix thats dreadful, over powering. Waited over 20 minutes for two basic tacos. Meat was awful, Deffinatly no pride or passion coming out of that kitchen. Damn shame.

9/26/2011 A rather forgettable vegetarian enchilada. Service was good. My wife loves the fajitas here but I'm not too much of a fan of anything. I usually get full by eating the complimentary nachos and salsa. Request the hot salsa. Their mild salsa is so gutless I use it as an eyewash. This place has seen better years....many moons ago.

This restaurant is wonderful if you like burnt and/or canned food.

Fiesta Bravo may not be an "authentic" El Restaurante, but is a great TexMex place with homemade salsa, chips, and guacamole. The chicken Fajita's and Taco's Al Carbon are especially good comfort food. The restaurant has mostly good days, but some not so good days when service lags or a menu item might not be as good as usual. However on average it is a great place for an enjoyable meal at a reasonable price. The bar area is open seating and serves full menu, it is brighter and more inviting than the main dining rooms.

My husband, two year old and I went jan. 1st 2011 around 5. I don't know if our hostess and server had new years hangovers or if they were just anxious to leave, but or service was horrible. We walked in and the hostess said "wait one minute" and those were the only words we heard from her because she walked away and was not seem again. After standing there for 5 or 6 minutes, a man working there finally noticed us and gave us a small table near the bar. We waited for quite a while before our waitress passed by on her way to another table saying she would be with us "in a couple minutes." She was trying to close down the bar and serve 4 tables at the same time. When she finally came around and took our drink orders, I had to call out my appetizer, the queso, to her fleeing back. When she finally came back with our drinks and salsa (which is good, free and mild enough for my toddler to love and snack on) we were more than ready to order. I had the carne asada with fries and a side salad and my husband had the steak fajita. The waitress brought out my salad and the queso after that. I didn't eat the salad because the blue cheese dressing was not very good. The queso was good but very thick and mild. When our food came out at 553, we both felt very rushed because they were closing at 6 and were obviously waiting on us. We ended up getting most of our food to go. My husband found the fajita delicious and the carne asada was great for mall food. I have been to this restaurant before and the service has always been acceptable until now. The food is the best that can be had in the mall and is relatively cheap, though its definatly worth it to walk across the parking lot to cheddars if you don't want mexican in particular.
