Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Ok, I will say that I was looking forward to going here when I first found out it opened up. However, after going there for lunch, I was disappointed. The old pizza place that was there was great and closed because of reasons other than doing business. So here are some Pro's and Con's of what I got at the Wichita Pizza Co. Pros: Convenient location, not too busy, helpful and good staff. Nice looking place and an improvement from what was there as well as a larger dining area. It appears that they have a bar area which is a nice touch for the location. Good number of HD televisions. Cons: Unfortunately, there are a few cons that I found. However, that will outweigh all of the pros that they have. The first one is that they do not do pizza by the slice. Not a biggie but places like these would do better with pizza by the slice. The next con is that they are overpriced for the product that they put out there. The Calzone that i got was over $7.00 and at most pizza places, if I got one of their regular Calzones it would have easily been under 7. The second half of this is that their food was mediocre at best. I would not have paid $5 for the food that I got. The crust was not a traditional pizza crust. I can't describe it, but it was not what I was expecting. It didn't have any flavor to it either(I tried the crust first to see if it would add flavor). The ingredients were ok at best. Once again, not enough flavor to the food. To me it was a lot of bland over bland. I think they can get more with a different cheese and spicier sausage/pepperoni. Overall, I was not impressed with the food and that is why I will probably not be back, unless they change their recipes and then I would give them one more try.

I'm updating my review based on our last few experiences. I think that Wichita Pizza Co MIGHT be my favorite pizza in Wichita. (The closest rival is Pacific Coast Pizza which is delicious as well.) We went last night to use a dealsaver coupon and ordered a medium half and half pizza again. We also ordered the cheesy breadsticks (we received 6 covered in a thick topping of cheese and with two sides of marinara). I got the Thai Chicken (without the chicken) and my husband got the Spicy Jack. He said his was good, but didn't have a ton of buffalo flavor in case that's what you're looking for. My side was interesting! It had a nice peanut-y sauce with a topping of carrot and purple cabbage pieces. My only complaint was that without the chicken, there was a lack of other toppings (I think it had mushrooms on it, but there weren't too many) and I should've asked for more to sub in. Every pizza I've tried here has been great, including the mama's enchilada pizza (subbed something for the chicken...the cream cheese sauce was SO good) and the taco pizza. They also offer gluten free crust! Their normal crust is thin and crispy and yummy. Every time we go here, it's always empty. This place needs more business! Go visit Wichita Pizza Co! You won't be disappointed.

We tried this place last weekend and my picky husband loved it so much he wanted to get it one night during the week. Unfortunately, I went by hours I saw posted on their online ordering place on their website, which says they close at 9. Tonight, I looked for hours again to see if they had later weekend hours (my husband works second shift so "dinner" is around 11 at night). So far, I have found THREE closing times for them. 9, 10, and 11. When I called and asked what time they close, the reply was "Tonight probably around 10 or so" Good pizza... not so good business practices! If you are thinking of trying this place, make sure to call first!!!!

We went to Wichita Pizza Company having not read any reviews. It was a perfect dining experience. We got a BBQ chicken pizza. It was perfect. The waitresses were very friendly and attentive. The restaurant was clean and decorated nicely with a Wheaties box sports theme. Overall great job.

Went to Wichita Pizza Co for take out at around 2pm. I decided to order the supreme as I enjoy meat and a variety of vegetables on my pie. Service: The service was friendly and my pizza was ready within 20 minutes. The cashier greeted and smiled at me which was pleasant. Pizza: I am not a pizza connoisseur but the pizza here is nothin special. I am sure their ingredients are fresh according to other reviews but the pizza is very doughy and the toppings are just ok. Maybe I am biased after living in both Chicago and NYC but this pizza is just mediocre at best.

This is my favorite pizza in Wichita. I've been eating here since they opened and have never had a bad experience. Plus the owner is super nice! She has the Dairy Queen next door and she works so hard to make sure both businesses are the best they can be. I love the Greek pizza, enchilada pizza, and the Pineapple Express pizza. The salads are big and tasty, too.

Their house pizzas are the best. They just added more to the menus. Got to try every single one at least. We always come back for the 1/2 pepperoni popper and 1/2 taco.

Not impressed. Maybe it all started with what I assume is self proclaimed "best pizza you'll ever eat." The pizza was delivered in a decent time but everything slid to one side of the box! Once I straightened all that out I tried it and all I can say is it's an average, if not slightly lower, pizza. I should have known better than to get a pizza outside of Chicago!

Arguably the best in Wichita, hard to choose a favorite off of the menu, so many options!

Nice location. Clean and friendly staff. The cheese sticks are the best I've ever had. The pizza was crispy and delicious! Great variety on the menu!

Swing and a miss. Had high hopes based on reviews but was not a huge fan. It looked awesome but was not tasty. The crust is thin, but closer to hand-tossed than cracker-like. If you like hand-tossed it might float your boat but it always seemed like a sad compromise to me. Sauce is pretty bland. Lots of toppings but not much flavor.

Shared a regular large pepperoni pizza with my brother here. Very filling for two people! Nice crispy crust, they don't skimp on the toppings, and your hands aren't covered in grease after eating a slice like when you're eating Pizza Hut. Good place for lunch I think, bring friends.

I have been a yelp user for many years however I have never rated anything until now. My wife, kids and I were driving through to Iowa. Stayed in Wichita for the evening. I called the closest dominos and Pizza Hut nearby (as is typical with a road trip). Both sub par pizza chains stated wait time of over an hour or didn't even answer. I found Wichita pizza and decided to give them a call. The person on the phone was extremely pleasant and even joked with me a little. We ordered an Alfredo pizza which was great and they even have a very good gluten free pizza! They also should up in less than 40 min. Keep up the good work!

Really great pizza! Get the taco pizza! Or stick to traditional stuff, it's all good!

Gr8 wait staff & pizza was outstanding. Wait staff set the tempo and made my 1st experience a good one. Definitely will be back next time I'm in Wichita, KS!

The pizza was actually really delicious!! The ingredients are quality. The wings came out great too. Plus there's drink specials!

I am not a really big sports fan, but I have to say for those of you who are. This is the place for you. There were three different basketball games a football game and a hockey game all playing on 8+ tv's. As for the food... we had mozzarella cheese stix and a small meat lovers pizza. The first thing that struck my fancy was the fork. Note I know what your thinking. Really the fork! But yes the fork. It was very uniquely shaped almost rounded. It had a dull sharpened edge for better cutting. The mozzarella stix were hot flaky a and very good flavor. Within 15 minutes of ordering we had our pizza. It was very hot and wonderful flavors. The crust was reminiscent of tastes from childhood. I would highly recommend anyone to stop by and have a slice!

This place was great. It was our first visit and me and my daughter were greeted nicely at the door. Our waitress came to wait on us, and when we told her it was our first visit, she told us it was her first day on the job. Without anything being said, another waitress came by to help us with our order, so our questions could be answered. It was great the way they worked together to make our visit a good one. My daughter and I both decided on the calzone and cinnamon bread for dessert. Both were very tasty. The prices might be a bit high, but not enough to keep me from returning. All in All, a great experience, and great food.

I wasn't expecting great things from Wichita Pizza Co, but I was surprised. The crust is cracker-like, and not in the textural way in which I'm usually talking, but in that it tasted kinda like a cracker, which was a little odd, but good. There was some crispy texture there, too on the bottom of the crust, but it was still a little too thick to attain the crispiness throughout. I liked the use of cheddar and mozzarella cheeses, though I think too much was used and it threw off the balance of the pie, covering up some of what the sauce brought to the party. It was decent, from what I could tell - sweet and somewhat spiced, I would have preferred more of it. I've been meaning to try WPC for a while simply out of my search for the best pizza in the city, but what caused me to take the plunge was their participation in Groupon, which not only got me a $15 pie for $7, but also introduced a slew of new customers - on the day I visited, the owners mentioned they got about 40 of the ~250 of us who bought the Groupon visiting to redeem their merchandise on that day alone, which must have not only increased their business quite a bit, but also introduced some new people to Wichita Pizza Co. that otherwise wouldn't have bothered. Bravo, WPC, for embracing social media. I hope it helps your business in the long run. Of course, having a solid pizza doesn't hurt, either, and Wichita Pizza Co. doesn't exactly take the cake, but in this binary world of Wichitan pizza, it scores a 1 on my scale. (1 is good)

I'm always leery of local pizza shops, but this place surprised me. I've had several of their pizzas now, some I've never seen anywhere else, and all were great; good toppings and sauce. Anyone in town looking for something outside the usual pizza chains should definitely give them a chance.

Best pizza in Wichita. Buffalo chicken pizza is off the chain!!
(5)B.W. R.
Very good pizza, but a bit on the pricy side. I wasn't impressed with their bread sticks.
(4)Stuart C.
Tried them out last night. Wanted to get a good sample so we ordered the Bacon Chicken Alfredo sandwich, the Club sandwich, garlic bread sticks and a small Bacon Cheeseburger pizza, minus the pickles and mustard. All of our items were good and as ordered. The chicken was better than the club but both were good. The pizza was really nice with plenty of toppings. And it is pretty hard to mess up bread sticks but they were above average too. The sandwiches came with a side of plain potato chips and a pickle wedge. The bread sticks came with marinara dipping sauce. Our only complaint was the time it took to get our order out. We walked in and placed our order to go. It took between 25 and 30 minutes. Now having a menu I will call ahead next time so that shouldn't be an issue again. I want to try a calzone next time and a different pizza too. Over all I would say it was a good value for the money.

Amazing!!! This might even beat Knolla's out for the best pie in Wichita. Service was excellent, extremely helpful and friendly. Huge selection of house pies, also has calzones, hoagies, and salads. You have to try it out!!!!!

I really like this pizza place. I've been several times now, and have been pretty pleased. I've only gotten food for take out. Their crust is a thinner crust, nice and crisp on the bottom. Their version of the Supreme is very good, loaded with lots of high quality toppings and very filling. It is what I usually order. They also have a sauerkraut pizza, which is rare to see as a pizza topping these days. Kraut seems to be one of those things that people either love or hate, and I fall into the love category. I liked the kraut pizza, though my car smelled like kraut for about a day after taking one home. No so good, though that's not the restaurant's fault. I've also tried their taco pizza, which was ok, but generally speaking, if I want to eat something that tastes like a taco, I'll go somewhere and get a taco. They also have sandwiches, but the only one I've tried was their "Italian" style one with salami and pepperoni. Again, it wasn't bad, I've just had better elsewhere. I think it could have used a bit more dressing. Service has always been pretty friendly and efficient. Prices are reasonable for a quality pizza. If you go in expecting Pizza Hut prices, you're gonna think they are expensive, but they are very fair for the product you get. All in all, I'd say give them a try!
(4)Roy L.
Their pizza is really good and you can tell that they use fresh stuff on them i'll recommend you the buffalo chicken it's awesome

I enjoyed the pizza here and I enjoyed the atmosphere just as much. Great place to watch games and the choices of ingredients are plentiful...so much more than most pizza places around here. Canadian bacon and sauekraut work suprisingly well together. I really liked the cheese and they don't skimp on the toppings! Not sure what the complaint about the price is based on....this isn't Dominos..this place has unique quality ingredients. I think they have some kinks to work out being new....but I think this will become our go-to pizza place in the area.
