Excellent selection of breakfast items. Very nice ambience & the service is really good. We had the farmer's garden omelette & it was very delicious & came with country style potatos & english muffins. The serving size was a bit too much for me. They also have a good selection of vegetarian options. There was a bit of wait on Sunday morning, we waited about 15 mins before seated.

Used to love this place. It was a regular stop when my kids were little. The past couple of times it was miserable. The last time my over-medium eggs were almost translucent. Sent them back and watched my family eat their food while the eggs were redone. Apparently this takes 10 minutes. The service is hurried, sparse, and the prices don't reflect the quality. I'd rather eat IHOP any day.

Great food options for brunch! The wait is never greater than 10-20 minutes, even though it's always packed. Recommended meals: The Krabby One is an omelet styled like a crepe, and the Brie cheese is just perfect. The Cinnamon Roll is a hog mess of delicious that is big enough to share between 2-4 people. Also the Fruit Platter is gigantic, so that is a shareable dish, too. The servers are nice but always busy, so really once your food is in front of you they forget about you. A random other server typically drops the check, and you pay at the greeters' booth.

Came here on a Sunday around 1pm - it was packed! We had about a 15 minute wait. Got a florentine benedict....it was really delicious and really filling. It is a benedict with veggies and a little bacon. It had plenty of hollandaise sauce on top. I ate the whole thing and was really full afterwards. I had coffee and they gave me a whole pitcher - I love when places do this so I don't have to wait for them to come refill it. Our waitress was really pleasant. Would definitely come here again for breakfast food.

Boring! Almost every order comes with very dense dry English muffins. The restaurant is as plain as white bread along with its food. Undercooked/dry potatoes along with a boring "spicy" egg scramble really topped off the general snooze that this restaurant is. Will not be returning! Zero atmosphere.

I was slightly disappointed by this Good Egg. I'd been to a few of their locations in Tucson and always been impressed with the food, if slightly discomfited by the aggressively wholesome atmosphere (complete with waitstaff who were unnaturally cheerful and perky, even early in the morning - I suspect they put uppers in the break room coffee). Given that we were in an unfamiliar city mid-move, we figured a little bit of familiarity couldn't hurt and went here for breakfast. This one was...not as good. Not bad, by any means, but it felt like a very watered-down version of the Tucson experience. The staff was friendly but not ridiculously cheerful. The decor was cheerful but not ridiculously country-kitchen. Most importantly, the country-kitchen food was...decent. Which is fine, but a bit of a disappointment after the Tucson branches were all so excellent. Honestly, I should probably give this place three stars, but as slightly off-putting as I found the chain's signature atmosphere to be, if you're not going to maintain that atmosphere, why even make your place a franchise? ETA: I got a message from a Wichita citizen who said they didn't think their Good Egg was a franchise. From what I've been able to discern through my unparalleled research skills (read: ten minutes of Googling), they're not associated with the Arizona Good Egg franchise, which is odd because everything from the logo to the menu to the hot sauces on the table was the same. So either there's a parent group, or some more informal association, or some lawsuit fodder going on here...strange.

I don't like that they leave the unused silverware and cups on the table while you eat and then use it for the next people. That seems unsanitary to me. $5 for a single pancakes seems a little pricey.

Came here two straight mornings for breakfast. It's right next to the Hilton Garden Inn, so if you're staying there is super useful to be able to take a quick walk over. The menu is pretty large, so if you're a person who has trouble making decisions, be prepared for lots of options. I had an omelet and the 'Eye Opener' on successive days and both were pretty good. The Eye Opener includes pancakes that you can add many toppings and mix-ins to, which is nice if you really want to customize. Service was quick and friendly, and the price was good too.

I've been coming here for a couple of years. My first time was the best and it's gone down hill from there. I expect so much more from them being in such a great location and knowing how good they use to be. The last few times my food had arrived barely warm and bland. Very disappointed, until they change, I won't be going back.

Love this place! Come here often. A bit crowded between 9-11, but still feel it's worth the wait. Great food, very personable staff, and not too expensive. The menu has a good variety of options and have yet to be disappointed. Highly recommended!

Delicious!! First time at the Wichita one, been to the one in Arizona several times, and I liked this one better. Fresh ingredients, prepared wonderfully. I got the ham scramble, the special of the day, and my boyfriend got the eye opener. I stole some of his pancakes, YUM!! Will definitely be back.

The Spanish omelet was great. The optional guacamole proved to be superfluous. I liked that they set a whole pot of coffee at your table. The breakfast potatoes were not good though. Most of them were cooked through, but underdone, i.e. not fried crispy. A few of them were petrified. Literally so hard someone could've broke a dental filling on them. So, you're lucky to be getting 4 stars with such screwed up potatoes. Frying potatoes is NOT hard.

I visited Wichita for business for a week and happened to pass by this place. What a great name! I went here 3 days of the 5 days I was here. They were consistent with the food and the service. I had chance to visit Wichita a couple of times within the last month or so, this place was right next door to the hotel I was staying in and was recommended by a hotel staffer for a good breakfast. I walk in and the place is bright and open, large tables and they have a coffee & juice bar. The menu is huge. Probably to large...it was hard to decide, there's so much to choose from. If you can think of it with an egg, it's probably on the menu. One morning I had the traditional breakfast, two eggs, country potatoes, three HUGE home-made sausage links and English muffin. This meal covered the plate. But every meal I had, had huge portions. Overall, the place was very good, the food was good and fresh. The service is unbelievably friendly and quick. Great place to start your day. If I'm in Wichita again, I'd stop here for b'fast at least once or twice. With all that said, my only compliant, you had to register (name/address, create userid/password) to use their free WiFi. That's great if you live in Wichita, but since it's located next to a hotel, you probably have a lot of out of towners. Why make them register for something that is free and that they will only use a few times. Just my two cents!

Husband and I really enjoy eating at The Good Egg! We have been there several times and the food and service are very consistent. The menu is huge, for those who are first timers, it will take you a while to read through each item if you don't have an idea of what you want (eggs, pancakes, etc.) I enjoy the Farmers Garden Delight Omelet. I get it nearly every time I go here. Husband usually orders something new each time and has never "disliked" anything he has ordered. I feel the prices are fair, but last weekend we brought our three year old and when looking at the kids menu, found that the prices were a bit steep. However, they do provide a lot (I mean A LOT) of food for the kids meal, I would rather see reduced portions with reduced prices. Next time we go and bring our munchkin with us, she will just be eating off our plates. Last thing to mention, I tried the pancakes for the first time, and OMG they were the best I ever had! It was like a pancake/angel food cake. You did not even need syrup to eat these. Oh and they were HUGE! The Good Egg is one of our favorite places to dine.

The marketing genius that named this establishment got it eggxactly right (sorry, couldn't help myself...) it was a *good* egg. Not bad, not great. Just good all around. I'm a big fan of managing expectations, so this was a fantastic start. The four stars could stand alone for the fact that this is a non-franchised independently owned joint, standing up to the abounding corporate behemoths in Wichita. And characteristic to their independent nature, the veggies were fresh, the coffee was above average, and the service was authentic (no scripted..."HI WELCOME TO _____!" which just irritates me beyond belief.) Huge plus: they offered free wi-fi. hip hip! Maybe I *could* live here. The food was, well, good. Again, they didn't name themselves The Most Amazing Eggs you'll ever eat...so I knew what to expect. One thing that stood out was the fact that they were able to handle me picky order...sub this for that, add this, no this...and it all came out just like I asked. Good job good egg, good job.

I wanted to update we have been here a few time now - I like the CrepEggs krabby one, the veggie frittata, the hakuna matata is good, catroville and cloud nine omlets are good. But something else is devlishly good - and I really should not order but I can never seem to help myself - good gosh its so good - the berry breakfast blintz. Yum Yum Yum. Ok here is the description: Delicate crepes filled with a cool blend of mixed berries, low fat yogurt, cream cheese & cottage cheese, topped with a warm blueberry compote, whipped cream, powdered sugar, caramelized pecans and a dash of cinnamon & nutmeg. I usually share it with my dh because I cannot eat it all - but if I could I would. Its just that dang good.

Good omelet! I had the Castroville with a side of toast and sliced tomato with cottage cheese. The whole meal was very filling and decently priced for the amount you got. The Castroville had artichoke hearts, tomato, onion, mushroom, spinach & Jack cheese, garnished with grilled asparagus and Hollandaise sauce. If I had any complaints about the omelet, it was a tad greasy. With the cheese inside, it could use a little less on the outside.

First Breakfast in town - it was...okay - it was a weekday and I needed to get on the Internet and they advertised free wifi - I couldn't connect and even the owner didn't know how to get me on-line and wasn't at all apologetic about it...I was alone and the waitress was miserable - I mean, her demeanor - she was miserable - maybe it was the end of her shift and got stuck with a single payer - the food was okay - veggie omelet - not the best but okay - liked that that give you a craft of coffee so you don't have to keep asking for refills...not sure I'd go back.

Good local place. I had read they won best of Wichita. I don't know about the best but they are good. The cinnamon roll was amazing! Pitcher of water on every table is nice also. I ordered the biscuits and gravy. They were average. I would prefer gravy with chunks of sausage or something more to it. Good but not great. Portion was 2 full biscuits so plenty of food.

Wichita has a slew of old-fashioned, classic American diners, and that's great when you want a run-of-the-mill omelet or French toast, but sometimes you want something that's a little more intricate - something that mixes it up a little beyond the ordinary cast of breakfast characters. It's not something that a lot of places in the city can provide, but I think I found one in The Good Egg. You may have seen a place like this before, though under a different name - The Egg and I is a small chain that comes to mind - and Good Egg itself is a chain of sorts - one that is big in Arizona, and where the head cook got his start before opening his own location in Wichita. It seems like it's a popular place, as it was pretty well packed when we visited on a Sunday morning. I like me some eggs benedict, and I like it even better when the menu offers some variations on the dish. The florentine benedict - an English muffin topped with spinach, mushrooms, onions, asparagus, topped with the eggs, hollandaise, tomatoes, and bacon. Indeed, when it came time to eat, my meal contained all of the necessary ingredients, and it tasted up to snuff. I thought the asparagus was fairly well overcooked, but otherwise no complaints. It may be one of the best restaurant places in the city, but that has to be at least partially due to the lack of other places willing to go beyond a boring standard breakfast menu. In the meantime, I have no problem hanging out with a pitcher of coffee and taking some time with my specialty florentine. It's the small things in life, after all.

My family and I enjoy eating at the Good Egg and try to go at least once a month for breakfast. It does get busy and expect to wait for anywhere from 15-30 minutes for a table. I always order the "Eye Opener Combo" which includes (2) pancakes, (2) eggs and (4) strips of bacon. The bacon is thick and thick and has an excellent flavor. My favorite part of the meal is the pancakes. They are light and fluffy and I order them with bananas. My wife has fried many of the menu items and she enjoys the "Bacado" omelette which had bacon and avocado. We both also enjoy the potatoes which are cubed instead of the hash brown style other places serve. Our little man also likes their food and gets the "Triple Play" which includes (2) dollar pancakes, (2) eggs, and (2) strips of bacon. We have to take the pancakes and bacon away from him so he will eat some eggs. The service is always good and the staff is friendly, even when they are busy. My one frustration is when waiting for a table and they have 5-6 open tables but don't seat them because the kitchen is busy.

We frequent the good egg. Other than an understandable wait on Saturday and Sunday during brunch time, we have never had a less than great experience. Big selection of good breakfast foods and QUALITY coffee. Im a bit of a coffee snob, so thats saying a lot. My favorite breakfast place!

I'm a huge fan of breakfast places, so I was excited to try this one. I love french toast, but I didn't like this french toast at all. It was on a weird holey sourdough bread, and I didn't think it worked. The orange juice is fresh, which is nice, except I don't like pulp and there was a lot of pulp. The eggs were great though. I'd try it again, but I'd skip the french toast.

I think they're quite average. I just like 'em cause am a big fan of non franchise independently owned establishments. Have always ordered breakfast here and liked pretty much everything. Portions are very generous. Pan cakes are humongous.

I'm a huge breakfast fan, so I love places like this. The Good Egg offers a huge variety of breakfast items, all of which come in pretty good sized portion and quality, but some items seem a bit pricey. I would definitely choose this place over a franchise breakfast place but I have also found a few other good local spots.

The food is great for the most part. If I order something with poached eggs and ask for the eggs cooked hard, they are NEVER right the first time. You would think that a place named "The Good Egg" would get it right the first time. The service on Saturday and Sunday mornings is not the greatest when busy. The entrance does not have a foyer, so be prepared for a crowd of people standing around the door when entering during a busy time. The service of the staff should be trained a bit more in customer service. Make sure to talk to the manager if your food or service is not up to your standard. I have received discounts and a couple of free meals for speaking my mind. Make the service better and get orders right the first time, and this would be a 4 or 5 rating. Since the last post, the Good Egg has remodeled a bit. You will have more room to stand when you come into the place, but nothing else has changed much. If you want the best service, sit at the bar. The bartender is usually pretty quick with service.

A good solid breakfast option. They have plenty of breakfast options that are creative. I enjoyed the food quality and what was put in front of me. I did however, find myself wanting coffee, water, creamer or something more often than I should have. Overall a good experience, but the wait staff could be a bit more attentive.

We arrived and it was packed. There was a 30 minute wait but it was well worth it. My date and I both had omlettes and they were spectacular. The side of whole wheat pancakes matched well. I could easily say, this was one of the best breakfasts I've had in the last quarter century.

Probably better options for the money. Food and service are great but not sure it's worth the money. Would try others before going back.

Love breakfast places and this one was nice. They have a pitcher of water and coffee for you and service was very good too. Though they were a little pricey but still not bad.

The Four Peaks Fruity French Roast was incredible. If you love breakfast sweets go for it. Service was very friendly. Coffee is good, but could be stronger. Esspresso machine was broken.

When I feel the need for breakfast eats, this is one of my top choices. Large menu, and nice atmosphere.

By far, best breakfast you'll find locally for the price. Have yet to have a bad experience here. Pitcher of lemon infused water at the table, friendly staff, knowledgable chef and great food.
