I was in town for business and staying next door at the SpringHill Suites. Really just wanted something close but I was glad I choose to eat here! I had the 6 oz filet and it was cooked perfect and had great flavor. I also happened to be there during happy hour and had a margarita which was rather large but very delicious! The wait staff was attentive but not so much that they were annoying. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is it was loud to only be 4:30 in the afternoon. They already had the staff doing country line dances which I thought was a little strange...but overall a good experience and the food was yummy.

Great rolls with honey butter. Peanuts while waiting for your meal and you can throw the shells on the ground, what a fun atmosphere. Steak was prepared fantastic. Will definitely return.

Had a HORRIBLE experience at Texas Roadhouse last night. This isn't even worth deserving 1 star! We were seated with no plates or utensils. The lady who sat us was nice enough to routinely give us bread though. Our server Ethan, should not be working as a server, besides taking our orders, that was all he knew to do. He never came to check up on us, give us plates or utensils, refill our drinks, or give us more bread and the sad part of it was that he probably passed by our table 20 times while we were there, tending his other tables. Good thing we ordered right away when we were seated or else we'd probably sit there all night just trying to get our order in! When our food came out (before we got our plates and utensils), another lady brought it out to us and we told her that we needed napkins and utensils, then before she gave us what we had asked for, she asked us to cut into our steak. We were like, "with what?" After getting our food, our server was MIA as usual. Towards the end, he didn't forget to give us our check. We asked for boxes for our food and he gave us boxes, but he didn't even bother to notice that we also needed boxes for our side dishes and a "bag" to carry our food in. So we had to call on another waiter, which gave the note to our so called server to give us. My husband was kind enough to give him 15% tip, which I found out after we had left. If it were me, I'd give him nothing! Texas Roadhouse has always been a local favorite of ours, if it weren't for the prime rib or bread, we would have never gone, knowing how bad the service was. BEWARE OF ETHAN! Hopefully the other servers are better.
I had my normal oven roasted chicken but the waitress brought out chicken breast they did make up for it by comping my meal and correcting my order! Great service and food!!!!

I love the food at Texas Roadhouse, but the Wichita location is one of the worst ones my family has ever visited. We have tried them 5 different times and each time was bad. Three of the times, they sold out of the prime rib before 6 pm. I'm starting to wonder if they intentionally sell out early in the evening. The prime rib is the only reason we choose Texas Roadhouse over Logan's or other similar chains. If we can't get it, we might as well go elsewhere. Two of the times we called ahead, were told to show up 1-2 hours later only to be told our wait was another 45 minutes when we showed up. Tonight was absolutely ridiculous and a fire hazard. People were jammed wall to wall starting in the parking lot and into the door and interior waiting area waiting for their tables. At the same time, people were shoving their way through trying to leave the restaurant, people were shoving their way through to check in with their call ahead number, and people were shoving their way in and out trying to get their to go orders. Tensions were running high as the majority of the crowd were complaining they were told 2 hours when they called ahead and now were told to wait another 45 minutes. If there was a fire, people would have been trampled and killed. We will never come back to this location. We stop in St. Louis when we visit family.

Love, love, love this place! While it can be a bit noisy at times, the food and expert waitstaff more than make up for it. Beware of the endless fresh baked bread and cinnamon butter--if you're not careful you will eat so much of it you will be full before your meal arrives. The All American cheeseburger is absolutely delicious, especially with the zesty sauce. The house salad is awesome as well as the BBQ chicken breast and the grilled shrimp. I have never ordered anything that wasn't just great, so I typically have a hard time deciding what to order. The servers are very upbeat and friendly and do their jobs well. We always get several farewell wishes on our way out the door. They also have managers or something to that effect that walk around and ask if everything is ok and we were given a discount on our last bill because the manager thought it took too long to get the food to us. We hadn't really noticed that it took long and weren't even worried about it, but he gave it to us anyway. Excellent customer service--many other service oriented businesses could take a lesson or two from Texas Roadhouse. We leave happy every time with the food, the service, and the overall experience. Definitely a must for anyone never having been before.

This road house is active, noisy, crowded (you should call ahead because the wait could be long), but just down right wonderful with great steaks, baked potatoes, ribs and a tasty crisp salads- not to mention the endless hot buns and honey butter. This steak house seems chaotic but is run very efficiently. You get a "pager device" at check in that tells you your table is ready. From that point on you are in good hands. There is even a short dance routine that the employees do every hour or so. The 8oz sirloin was one of the best steaks (mid-rare) I've had in years. My girl friend had the ribeye and she was overjoyed. The portions are generous- we took home about 40% of our meal and I look forward to a steak sandwich tonight.

I have eaten at some high end steak houses and I have to say that the $10.99 8oz Sirloin is one of the best I've had. The last sirloin I had there was ordered medium rare and it was melt in your mouth, fork tender. Better than some high dollar filets I have had. Always great service and ice cold beer at the bar. I recommend the Rattlesnake Bites for an app.

This is an enjoyable place if you like large meals and don't mind large crowded spaces. Both the food and the service are good. A couple times the steak I ordered was overcooked, but they handled the problem quickly and accurately. The bar has a decent variety of beers and cocktails. Overall the place is fun and a safe bet for a party or a family celebration.

Steak was well-prepared. I enjoyed the fried pickles. Hubby's country-fried sirloin was good. All the food was overly salty for us, though. Service was awesome, food came out quickly. It was really really crowded and noisy, which is not our thing at all. We had a gift certificate to use or we probably wouldn't have ventured into such a busy place. Something to be aware of is you can call ahead for seating. We called at 4:50 and were told to show up in an hour. When we showed up at 5:45, they told the guy behind us who hadn't called ahead he was looking at a 2 hour wait!! We were seated about 5 minutes after arriving. I'm glad we finally got to experience this place, but I don't see us going back anytime soon.

Generally not a fan of chain locations - why eat there when I travel when I don't eat there in my home city? But hey, it's close to the airport. Had a very friendly and prompt bartender and the "before 5" specials were just the ticket for me. Pork chop was cooked well, and tasty. Salad was fresh. Rolls were right out of the oven fresh. Because of this particular visit, I'm more likely to try another Texas Roadhouse location in the future. Only downers 1) music too loud 2) lighting a little too "ambient" for me - as a solo diner, I'd like to be able to read my book or do a crossword without a flashlight.

I just flew into Kansas and stopped in for a meal. Service was friendly and quite quick. The meal I had consisted of Fried Pickles, Pulled Pork, Mashed Potatoes, Chili and Onion Rings. Fried pickles were good. Although you can fry just about anything and it'll be good. Mashed potatoes and chili seemed pretty standard. The pulled pork was a little dry but the BBQ sauce definitely helped the flavor. Really what made this place was the service. Props to the staff on making this out of towner feel welcomed.

Got takeout here last night. I sat for 25 minutes waiting, which didn't bother me because it was busy. What did bother me was that for the last 10 minutes I realized there was a to-go bag ready on the counter. I figured since they had not called my name that the bag was not mine. Eventually I decided to go and look at the ticket on the bag and it ended up being mine. So not only did I have to wait an extra 10 minutes for no reason, but my food sat there getting cold...not the best service, but the food was good once I finally got it

This is my favorite steakhouse by far. Friendly staff, really good food and drinks, bread is amazing, and all the side dishes are good. The bone in rib eye steak here is the best!!! Only $25 for 24 oz. steak which includes side dishes and it's a lot better than the $100-$150 steaks I've had at Mastros and Ruth's Chris Steakhouse.

Seating at the tables in the bar area is first come first serve. It looks impossible but we have always been able to snag one of those tables within 30 minutes of arrival. The place is always crowded, and somewhat noisy, with tons of children. That doesn't really bother me, as I can at least avoid most of the screaming kids by sitting in the bar area. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of food offered. It's not fine dining, but the value is good nonetheless. The rolls are fresh and must have some sort of addictive substance in them. They give them away free, to get you hooked. The food is good. I normally get a sirloin, which is typically surprisingly tender. So tender, in fact, I rarely think of getting a filet because...well, why bother? Occasionally I get a much fattier/chewier/gristlier one but what do I expect for 8 bucks? That's the exception rather than the rule. The sides are good. The only one I've tried that I didn't care for was the green beans, because they were floating in water. The mixed veggies are straightforward but very good, provided they get them steamed long enough. I wish they had a slightly more interesting draft beer selection. I think it's something like bud, bud light, a couple of other similar choices, a wheat beer, and maybe Sam Adams something. Meh. Overall I would give the food 4/5 stars, the atmosphere 3/5 stars, drinks 3/5 stars, and....the service... I absolutely despise being rushed. Unfortunately, it seems the way that Texas Roadhouse is able to afford selling decent food for a fair price is by making sure that the tables get flipped within ~45 minutes. The last time I ordered dessert, the server actually looked disappointed. I don't need to stay for 2 hours, but wow...don't drop the check after 20 minutes. I would honestly rather pay more and be rushed less. Somewhat begrudgingly, I tip 15% even when I'm disappointed (policies are not the server's fault), but I'll do much better than that if I feel that I was well taken care of. This is where TR loses points in my book.

I'm thankful for a special treat during this short visit to Wichita, Kansas - 20 oz of boneless rib-eye grilled medium rare Texas style with perfect seasoning. One of the best steaks I've had, and I've eaten a lot of steaks. Side dish of sweet potato with butter brown sugar and cinnamon was incredible. However Caesar salad came out with through fresh grounded pepper. When I asked for it the waitress pointed out the little pepper shaker they had on the table. Restaurants like this usually offer fresh ground pepper right into your plate. Maybe this is Kansas style? Still, a 5 star for the steak.

I have only eaten here once. My sister really wanted the family to try it. I remembered enjoying the flavor of the food but it seemed nuked like applebees or chillis, places like that. The setting is on the dark side. Every once in a while the music gets loud and the staff does a line dance kinda thing. I am all for entertainment but when the staff is not enjoying the dance, it comes off very sad and forced. I got depressed seeing it and didn't ever want to go back.

Went there this past weekend with a friend and got there on Sunday around 2pm. The weather was snow, snow and more snow but there was still a good crowd. I was thrilled this time when they took us to the room in the back. It is much quieter and will request it in the future. I have never seen such a happy waitstaff. We were greeted numerous times by various members as we made our way to the table (as well as when we left.) We had one of the few gentlemen waiters and he was brilliant. We both ordered the medallion filets and they cooked them to perfection. We both had med-rare and we could literally cut them with a fork. They were flavored to perfection and the sides were amazing as well. I had the extra mushrooms on top and they were piled high. I could probably write poems about the bread. I love a good yeast roll and these were amazing. I know this will be a regular place for us in the future. I don't particularly love crowds and noise so afternoons will be our time. I've been here before in the evening and promised myself I would never do that again. Great experience

Without out a doubt the best steak in town. I really don't understand why there is only one in this town, at least then it would cut down on the three hour wait to get a seat. I have learned though, if you call ahead and get on the list, you can usually get in in about five minutes. I highly recommend the chili too, it's just the right amount of spicy.

We went knowing how popular it was. During the dinner rush a 50 minute wait bit well with it. Great fun atmosphere and great food. Service was amazing. I had the full rack of ribs - beyond stuffed! For people's birthday they get to saddle up and a big yeehaw pic! Wow and yikes! Thankfully not my birthday :-). Would definitely go back and recommend this place! Cheers.

Staff is really friendly. Once again, my traveling companion had a freebie coupon for one of those fried onion things. That a couple of beers and steaks were the choices for the night. Food was not bad and really inexpensive. Since it was our first time there, she picked up a free bag of peanuts from the floor supervisor. 4 stars for being super friendly. Up a star for manager coming over and coughing up the free bag of peanuts. Minus a star for the staff stopping in the middle of the night to do a line dance (and one server with hair the size of a 747 was really into it, she had to recruit a couple other people on the floor with her). Minus one star for the cramped table we got jammed into.

The standard for steak houses as I see it. Texas roadhouse really sets the standard of what one should expect in any service oriented place. While hardly a new place for me to visit, it is one of my favorites in Wichita. I used to be a supervisor for Pizza Hut and therefore know how challenging it can be to run a restaurant and keep the atmosphere positive. This place is phenominal. The food is almost always served perfectly, the servers are always professionally upbeat, and if something isn't right, a manager will get the issue corrected swiftly. The only downside to this place is it's success. Due to being so good and so customer oriented, Texas Roadhouse seems to constantly have a line out the door. I can't dock them for this, when you have a good product and great service, the place is going to be busy. My suggestion is if you're there and the wait is an hour or longer, get signed in, but then go to the bar area. It's open seating and my friends and I have gotten in very quicky several times this way.

AMBIANCE & DECOR: Fun. Who wouldn't enjoy feeling like a bad-ass cracking open peanuts and tossing the shells on the floor like you don't give a damn. Pictures of birthday boys and girls (and men and women) on a saddle yee-haw-ing with their white cloth napkins adorn the walls giving the place a personal touch amidst all the roadhouse themed decorations. SERVICE: Excellent. Our waiter was very articulate and knew the menu like the back of her hand (but I don't really like that metaphor because how well does one really know the back of one's hand?). And she came by regularly to make sure our table was doing good. FOOD: The starters have really fun menu names. Got the "Cactus Blossom" (onion bloom) and ribs with salad and fully loaded mashed potatoes (shredded cheese, and crispy crumbled bacon on top). Good taste, good quality, good amount. I was stuffed. OVERALL: The food is what you'd expect from your standard steakhouse, but the personality and character set it apart. YEE-HAW!

We went to Texas Roadhouse on Veterans day and they were packed. We were able to be seated right away. Our waitress was Sasha and she was amazing. Our order went in quickly and our food arrived in good time. Sasha was very busy but she made sure every time she passed our table, she checked on us. We never had to ask for anything, our drinks were refilled before we even knew we needed a refill. I ordered the shrimp skewers and they are just delicious!! My friends had chicken fried steak and chicken fried chicken, their meals were delicious also. We will be back and will definitely ask for Sasha. I forgot to mention that EVERY employee spoke to us as we were leaving and they all had their hands full, rushing to a table or to the kitchen. We were very impressed with their friendliness.

Friendly and Lively place for a 9:00 wed. Bar area was half full as was the dining. Free peanuts are offered at the front and customers are welcome to peal their shells on the floor. Nut allergy customers should avoid. Otherwise the place is clean and attractive Typical menu for a steak house. I asked My friendly bartender what was good. She offered bone in sirloin, steak fillet, falling off the bone ribs, salmon as the top sellers. I got the sirloin with two sides and smothered in sautéed mushrooms for an extra 1.99 Drinks are reasonably priced and they offer a happy hour special on their drafts and house Rita (which is nothing great) The steak was great. Bartender made certain I was satisfied with the center color before going to the next customer. It was cooked perfect and came out fast and hot The smothered mushrooms were a meal unto themselves and probably I could have skipped. The sides complimented the steak and made more than enough of a meal for the average guy. However the baby carrots in the steamed vegs were a tad hard. I was offered a bread basket which I'm glad I turned down from getting too full There are a couple flat screens in the horseshoe bar area and country music plays loud enough to drown out your neighbors talking but not so loud that you can't hear each other. It's a well managed and popular spot. Very convenient to air travelers My guess is you can't go wrong with most of the menu. Ask what's good and go with your appetite. You will probably have something left for fido at home Manager asked me how my meal was which is a big big plus still I've had amazing steaks at other places and getting a four star is accomplishing something for the Texas Roadhouse. Perhaps if I had seen their line dance...

Always have great food and great service every single time! It is on the expensive side but it is totally worth it! Also my daughter loves the dancing girls :)

Great food. Really good wait service. Nice selection. A bit noisey but the ambiance was great.

Wow. Great service. Food was great. Burgers, steaks, shrimp, cheese fries, and the bread were very good.

Went with 4 others. Five different steaks between us all. Each was great. Great efficient service. Reasonable prices.

Great food + great service = happy family meal every time. Even if there were something wrong, they take care of it even without us saying anything. Love TX roadhouse!

Awesome food and great service. We sat at the bar to avoid the 35 minute wait but the bartenders were great
