Pretty good food. We went on a Monday night and the place was unusually busy. So our food took much longer. However the owner and chef did come to each table and apologize for the wait which was a nice touch. For starters we ordered the queso fondue and the prosciutto cheese plate. Both were fabulous!! We also ordered a great bottle of Reckless Love...a red California blend. For my entree, I had the chicks and waffles and it was good. The red velvet waffles were a little dry but the chicken was great. Overall it was good and I would come back if I'm in the area again.

New menu...everything I had was awesome. Carpaccio, dates, and organic gin&soda. The people I was with thought the menu was weird but it just reminded me of a trendy LA restaurant... There were really no shocking ingredients but everything sounded delicious on the menu. My advice would be to try as many of the appetizers/tapas first and then have entrees another time. And most importantly don't be afraid to try something new!

We had Fathers' Day brunch at Taste and See. It was advertised as Brazilian steakhouse-style service. While it missed on the gaucho-pant clad waiters wandering the dining room with skewers of meat, the meats that were been freshly carved on the buffet line were truly wonderful. The sangria and bloody mary bars were fun and really build-it-yourself after the wine and alcohol were poured into the glass. We've eaten more than once at both Taste and See and its cousin, GianniBacci's, and have not had a disappointing meal any time. The service is consistently good, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the food is yummy.

Great food, amazing drinks, and our server Troy gave the best recommendations on drinks, appetizers, and entrees. I highly recommend Taste and See!

Very disappointing. Overpriced hype. The food was just ok at a WOW price. Oh well, you live and learn.

What a great environment. The service was great and the food was wonderful. Very eclectic menu. So creative.

We'll get to the food, but I wanted to comment on the level of service that this restaurant provides. Being that it was our first time, Troy took us through the entire menu, pointing out just do's and don'ts. Also, we had a lot to do, so we did not order drinks, yet he still kept our glasses full of water all night. Entire point of his service was just professional. I had the Saltinbocca for dinner. There was so much going on, it is hard to describe, trust me, just order it. Definitely want to go back to try other dinners.

I had previously been to taste and See twice before this year, and it being a new restaurant it had a few kinks that bothered me. BUT 2015 is a whole new year for taste and see I have been in multiple times and my service has been amazing! The food has been amazing. Taste and see has completely changed my mind and is an absolutely fantastic restaurant ! I'm glad to see thing are better and will be a frequent of this restaurant.

Not impressed or worth the price. I'm surprised the chef's ego could fit in the building let alone the kitchen! Got my order wrong TWICE and never did get my drink refill! LONG wait for food and drinks both. Service was horrible and never saw our waiter. We actually had to go to the bar multiple times because our waiter was either nowhere to be found or would flat out ignore us trying to flag him down. Don't waste your time here, it doesn't live up to the hype. If you are approached by the chef settle in for a while to listen to him rattle on about his time on the Food Network and how Wichita doesn't appreciate his vision or cusine. Will not be going back.

So I have to admit that my review is somewhat tainted by my feelings about the chef, and my rating is definitely influenced by the atmosphere of Taste and See. Like, I get what they're trying to do. And I'm impressed, really, because there isn't a whole lot of new and innovative stuff going on in Wichita that sticks with people. But I really don't need all the fancy adjectives to describe my meal. Keep it simple. Because I feel like that's true artistry: keeping it simple and beautiful and still creating an elegant and upscale environment that keeps people coming back. But who am I to judge? Anyway, back to my review. My husband, mother, and I visited Taste and See awhile back on a Saturday night. It was pretty early, maybe around 6:00, and it was dead. While we were there, business picked up, but we were able to get seated right away. The server was knowledgable, but with a haughty air, as though she knew something we didn't. We started with the polenta tots, which were good. I had some sort of vegetarian ravioli dish, my husband had the quail, and my mom had....something else. All of it was good, for sure, but not memorable. I so wish it would've been memorable. I think the thing that bugs me the most is the obnoxious ... presence of the chef. Everywhere you go, he's there, staring down at you from some large picture, or from the menu, or boasting about his many achievements. I get it dude. You're living in Wichita, but you're not one of us, because you've got...achievements. So to sum it all up, I think that what Taste and See is trying to do for Wichita is a good thing. Let's up the creative ante and make some truly remarkable food. But sadly, Taste and See falls short of that last bit and doesn't quite do what it is trying to accomplish. But thanks for trying.

Went here for dinner last night and then the Sunday Brunch this morning. We shared a tapas style dinner, and everything we ordered was fantastic! This is a restaurant for real foodies though, the type of food you get here is well thought out and quality, not things you could find many other places, and the portions arent huge for the money. This didnt bother me at all but its good to know beforehand the kind of experience you're going to get. Also, huge shoutout to our server Greg. He went out of his way for every request we had. We asked to switch tables mid-dinner and split the check in a complicated way and he was nothing but helpful. That brunch was fantastic!! I recommend the french press coffee.

Wow! So glad the server at Monti's recommended we go here for dinner as everything here was amazing! Great visual presentation as well as tasty! Our server Andrew was very kind and asked if he wanted the chef to cut my meat as I was in a sling -very thoughtful and much appreciated!

I went here with coworkers and ended up being so embarrassed because there was absolutely nothing on their menu that I would eat. I'm certainly not blaming them for my embarrassment though! I am the first to admit that I am a horribly picky eater, but I'm always willing to try new things, but this was just too much for me. I would like to see a couple of simpler dishes on their menu along with all of the creations on there. Otherwise, atmosphere was very nice, but service was just okay and it's quite pricy, especially for the small portions.

Went there for lunch the other day. The resutant was pretty empty for 12:30, so we got seated right away. We got water and menus but then didnt see our waitress again for about 30 minutes. Everyone there had a very laid back feel to them. This would be great for a relaxing casual dinner, but since it was a work lunch we didnt want to stay forever. Lunch overall took almost 2 hours. The food was amazing and i would eat here again, but only when i had nothing going on all day.

First dining experience at Taste and See and it was amazing! Highly recommend it for a business dinner or for casual dinning. I loved it when the Chef/Owner brought my food out himself. Great experience.

We had an excellent food experience at Taste and See!! Chef Jason's dad (sorry can't remember his name) was our chef for the evening and he made the whole experience truly fabulous. We ate the tasting menu and there was not one item on the list that was less than excellent. And of course the Ice cream "show" for dessert was over the top. We will definitely be returning...no question about it!!

  • Jay W.

Not at all what it used to be. The food was thrown together with little preparation. The service was terrible. I had to ask every time for water and soda. Then a 15 minute wait for the bill which I had to go get myself. It was not busy at all. If you go during the warmer season it gets really hot inside.

  • Jordan P.

Cool atmosphere, and the food was good. It didn't blow my mind or anything, but I enjoyed the experience. And I would definitely visit again!

  • Frank F.

Other reviews sum it up better than I will (or care to), but the food is decent. I too think the chef is highly overrated. If it wasn't for people like Denise Neil of the local rag always gushing about everything he does (including whoring himself out as a gameshow contestant on the food network), I don't think he'd survive on his own merits. I've witnessed on more than one occasion frozen fries being poured straight out of the stinking Ore-Ida bag. Now that he is obsessed with being famous, he may have decided to quit using the retail bag, but sheesh, this guy is something else. The food was decent, but again, the whole "look at me ladies!" shtick is old and I have a hard time supporting it. I appreciate the effort to be different, but maybe calm down a bit.

If you are ever in Wichita this place is a must. The dates and cheese wrapped in bacon is awesome as well as the saltinbocca. The paella was none traditional but pretty good. The desserts were super tasty! We tried the fried banana and the chocolate hazelnut cake. Yup.. Worth all the calories. The chef (celebrity Jason Febres) came by and had a nice conversation- can't wait to see him on TV. Really a perfect ending to a very long business trip. Will be visiting again.

I haven't eaten at this restaurant yet, and have had it on my list to try for a while now. However, I have tried to contact them regarding a catering order and I have received no response and it's been about a month. I tried on Facebook and also e-mailed the address that is printed on their menu. If I can't get service about planning a catering event, I have little hope that I'll get great service at the brick and mortar restaurant. Taking it off of my list to try.

So good, no great, no brilliant. A BRILLIANT masterpiece that blends tasting deliciousness on our plates, seeing magnificence in the kitchen, and being treated by an excellent wait staff. There's a reason they call it Taste and See, because not only does the food taste absolutely divine but it's a work of art to the eyes too. The menu was so diverse and there was a range of worldly options. Oh and don't remind me of the dessert. Just thinking about it makes me heavier, my mouth is watering all ready. If your looking for food go here, it's not your neighborhood applebees.

Taste and See is a wonderful surprise located in downtown Wichita. The food is eclectic and elegant with a casual style setting. Come for lunch or dinner and be amazed at the flavors, textures and presentation of the food. I've been to many fine dining establishments (mostly on the West Coast) and would compare the dining experience at Taste and See as a MUST TASTE AND SEE all the food that they have! Be adventurous and try something new! I always do.

To eat the food at Taste and See is much more than just enjoying a great meal, it is experiencing Latin fusion on a whole new level. Celebrity chef Jason Febres (Bar Rescue, Guy's Grocery Game, Cut Throat Kitchen) not only prepares fresh succulent creations, but the kitchen is open for you to SEE your meal before you TASTE it! I have NEVER had a bad dish here. From the ceviche to the fish tacos to my favorite sandwich, the real Cubano, each dish is prepared with love and plated as you see on Food Network! Jason and GM Steve have often stopped by my table to check on our party or just to say hello. You won't go wrong by dining here.

Had the pleasure to visit this restaurant last weekend. We started with the inside-out chili rellenos and dates mignon. The "chili rellenos" were tasty, but did not really resemble the eponymous dish. The dates mignon where good as well, if a bit sugary. For dinner, I had The Real Cubano, and it was excellent. My wife and friend both got the Gaucho Steak, and while they enjoyed their meals, both wished they'd gotten the Cubano instead. Service was very good and decor was okay. My biggest complaint (as with most ICT restaurants) is the enormous, horribly distracting TV. I expect that at a bar and grill, but not at a nicer restaurant.

  • Darryl D.

Absolutely by far the best meal I've had in a long time. The chef knows how to be creative and combine many different tastes and flavors. From a drinking standpoint I would recommend the cotton candy martini if you like something sweet. I also had the Goucher marinated steak and it was out of this world. This place is so good I would almost fly back from New York just to eat here again.

To talk about Jason Febres is to talk about the nature of the celebrity chef, and his appearance on Guy's Grocery Games is a good place to start. The show is hosted by a man who rose to prominence through winning the Next Food Network Star reality show and became a minor celebrity through his bombastic personality and gibberish catchphrases. Guy holds a degree in hospitality management, and doesn't do much more than manage the restaurants to which he attaches his name, but between the Next Food Network Star competition and his normal daytime cooking show, there is at least a moderate amount of knowledge in the kitchen. Guy's a food personality. Febres' episode was judged by Richard Blais, another celebrity chef, and another one whose popularity was on the back of a cooking competition show (Top Chef), though the focus there was always primarily on his cooking ability. Plus, his accolades in the kitchen put him on the map long before he saw any television camera, and his day-to-day work continues to be his leadership in the kitchens of his restaurants. Blais is a celebrity chef. On the one hand, we have these chefs - the taste-makers, the creative minds, and the artists who are working to define the next generation of cooking and to filter it down to the smaller restaurants and cooks who regurgitate it at a price point that allows the average person to enjoy it too. 25 years ago, you had to be eating at Vongerichten's Lafayette to enjoy molten chocolate cake, but through time and influence, you can now pick up a version of it in your local grocery store frozen food section. Five years ago you had to fly to L.A. and track down Roy Choi to get a taste of Korean tacos; nowadays you can find them on the menu of a TGI Friday's. True chefs create, lead, and serve as the heads of their kitchen staff in what is a grueling and never-ending grind that I would never want to endure myself. On the other hand, we have food personalities - people like Guy Fieri, Giada DeLaurentis, and even Alton Brown who have little experience running a kitchen, but present well on camera. At best, these people advocate and instruct the general public on issues relating to food (Good Eats), and at worst, they serve as glorified game show hosts (Guy's Grocery Games). In simple terms, comparing a Food Network personality to a chef is like comparing Picasso to Jim Davis, though even Garfield is getting people to open a newspaper once in a while, so they both fulfill a purpose. What's the point? Since leaving his position as head chef for Sabor in 2008, starting his own catering business, opening the original Taste and See in 2010 in that dumpy mall on the south side, and finally making it back to Old Town in a newly-renovated space previously occupied by Doc Howard's, Febres' popularity has steadily grown in lockstep with his ego. Today he seems as focused on getting on television as he does with being in his kitchen. Having five minutes of on-screen time on an episode of Bar Rescue doesn't make you famous, and using it as a starting point for a television career doesn't make me more interested in your food. If anything, the over-confidence in both Febres' screen presence and in his restaurants is over-indulgent and wants me to visit less. Returning to Guy's Grocery Games, Febres was eliminated in the second round after presenting two dishes. The first one was a "deconstructed" Cuban sandwich, and the second was a frozen mochi dessert that was self-described as "Asian fusion." I can't fault him for his execution of either dish, because the artificial constructs of the show prevent any participant from displaying their full range and forces them to create shortcuts to meet their time limit, but Blais was quick to call out Febres on his "deconstruction" and "fusion" cuisine, because both are outdated buzzwords in the world of food. Fusion cuisine, particularly, hasn't been in vogue since MTV played music videos. The idea of relying on a variety of cultural influences and methods of preparation is simply a matter of fact in new American cooking, unless, of course, you're artificially jamming two cuisines together simply for the sake of claiming "fusion," which seems to be the case in places on the menu. Still, aside from his insistence on presenting meat 'lollipops' and foods on skewers sticking out of other foods, I recall my visit to the original Taste and See was mostly positive, so I kept an open mind. My distaste for loud club music, expensive fruit-flavored drinks, and getting shot at two o'clock in the morning prevented me from visiting Doc Howard's before it closed, but I'm still impressed at the amount of work that went into renovating the place. Re-locating the entrance so that it's adjacent to its parking lot was slick, too. Service was attentive and helpful throughout the night, even going so far as to offer some suggestions from the menu, which turned out to be helpful because, my god, the menu. Continued below.

While visiting my boyfriend in the Wichita area, I tried to look for a fun, unique place for us to go to dinner. I felt that I had found it in taste & see, the interior of the restaurant was quite lacking, but that isn't why you are there. The menu is impressive, and extensive, possibly the downfall of this restaurant. The food was not bad by any means, however I felt the quality was not there, especially for the price you are paying. I ordered the 'molecular gastronomy' tuna, it wasn't bad, but it wasn't great, and the plantain hash on the side, came very unexpected, it looked more like ramen than plantain, and I probably lost more off my plate cracking it apart than I did eating it. Overall I felt I was lucky to find a 'unique' place to eat in Wichita, however I don't feel I would return with the current prices.

Took a group of 20 here for my fiances 30th. Prices were very reasonable. Chef came out to say happy birthday to my fiancé and made sure the food was good. Good was different but amazing. Plantanes which I normally don't like were cooked in a way that made them taste very different and very good. The venison was good. The hummus oysters and ceviche were on point. Drinks were also very creative and good. Service was great as well. Loved the open kitchen concept. Cannot wait to try their new cocktail and tapas bar. I'd have to say this is one of our new favorite restaurants in Wichita and we can't wait to go back.

I'm so glad I gave this place another try. I was very underwhelmed after the first trip here, but some friends convinced me to come back and I'm glad I did. On my first trip, I ordered the Gaucho Steak. While the flavors were amazing, I felt like each element was wrong texturally. The steak was chewy, the fries were very underdone, and the maduros were unpleasantly mushy. I tried the Rib Rouladen the second time around - now that's what I'm talking about. Tender ribeye steak on top of creamy mashed potatoes. I even ate the asparagus, which I typically skip. He married it with the beef and potatoes and it was not an overpowering flavor like asparagus can be. Our service was excellent. I liked the decor the first time better - it was a little dim for my tastes, but that shouldn't discourage you from coming out and trying one of Wichita's most popular dining spots.

This is a very swank, clean, and cool restaurant. This is like a taste of a big city in Wichita. The presentation and quality of the food is amazing. I highly recommend that you try this at least once. The plantain chips are something you should really try. They did a great job converting a former bar, to a very classy restaurant.

I've been here a few times and I'd rate them btw 2 and 3 stars. Service is okay-- nothing to write home about. But the overall culture seems a bit "uppity" when the quality of food is terrible, and the actual interior/furnishings are cheap. Today we went to a "Brazilian themed" brunch and I left hungry. The meat was given sparingly and extremely cold, they were serving food that had been left out for hours and likely wasn't all that great fresh off the grill. Mostly cheap side dishes that take no craftsmanship or effort to create. Overall, incredibly underwhelming given the upscale pricing and the advertising that the chef and craftsmanship of the food was supposed to be noteworthy. Perhaps they meant, mediocre. On the bright side, bc I do realize there was likely at some point a lot of craftsmanship put into the place-- the menu did seem to have some interesting combinations. However, the space, food, and service needs a lot of tlc.

Me and a few friends went out to celebrate our friends birthday party, it was the birthday boy's choice, so he chose Taste And See since it was a new restaurant and it was something different that we haven't had before. We sat down at a table and was immediately waited on. The service was phenomenal. For some reason, the water tasted exceptionally amazing... I am still dumbfounded why the water was so crisp. The menu was a little overwhelming as this restaurant had food items and combinations that were unfamiliar and out of my comfort zone... but nonetheless, it was interesting combinations that were put together as far as ingredients. I ordered a drink to start out with called the "Monique"... it had Patron, pineapple nectar, blueberry shrub and sprite... When our waitress brought it out... she said the "vinegar is at the bottom so stir it up"... Um... I didn't see any vinegar on the drink menu as an ingredient... so I'm confused. I tried it... didn't love it, so I gave it to my friend. Once I couldn't get the idea of drinking vinegar out of my mind... I couldn't drink anymore of it. For an appetizer, we shared a cheese fondue with pita bread and plantain chips... and it was tasty... but they gave us a vast amount of fondue and sparse dipping items... not a deal breaker... but just an observation. There were 3 of us dining, and we had TONS of fondue left for a reference. For dinner, I ordered the chicken and red velvet waffles (it came out classier than it sounds)... see the picture. As a side dish it came with a kale blueberry and bacon salad. Also, it came with a maple syrup and black walnut mustard alioli. My only complaint... and its more of an annoyance at this point... but apparently substitutions are frowned upon. I asked if I could substitute the kale blueberry and bacon salad for something else... and our waitress said in four different ways that I would love it and it pairs really well with the red velvet waffles. Whatever, I finally gave up and said FINE. I guess I will keep this side that I don't really want. Chicken and waffles was truly tasty. For the record, I didn't eat the salad, but the guys I went with tried it and said it was okay. When the waitress came back out she said I see you ate the kale salad (all excited)... because my friends helped me out and I moved some of it around on my plate. "EYE ROLL." Now we have a running joke about this place and the Chef not liking people to ask for substitutions. Also another negative was that they didn't have many options for dessert. They had 2 choices that day... but for some reason only one was available. I would definitely try this place again!

Was in Wichita for a week for business. Discovered this place and ate dinner there 3 nights. Great food and attentive, friendly service. Tried a number if different menu items and everything was amazing. I highly recommend the Gaucho Steak. Will definitely be eating here the next time I'm in town.

Enjoyed this place, and the service was very good. $5 martinis on Wed, so can't complain. Tried samosas, tmt, and churassco bruschetta. Bruschetta was my favorite. The rest were good, but recommended by waitress and not my fav. Gonna comeback and try entree tomorrow.

Customer service is good, food is ok. Nothing to go crazy over other than the look of it. The pho was not a good choice to add it on the menu. It was so off! I told the waitress that I didn't like it so she was nice enough to take it off my tab. The spring rolls was not good as well and it's OVER priced. I've been there a few times and has tried over 5 entrees. I haven't been crazy for it but the only reason why I went back is because of how many people said it was good and I couldn't see it when I had their food. I think a lot of people get their food and service mixed up. A lot of people go there for the service and atmosphere. Not for the food.

Had a great time. The weekend tasting menu is awesome. It was truly fusion cuisine, and everything was wonderful. The chefs were great to explain how things were prepared and what we were eating. The head chef/owner prepared our dessert for us, which was a fun and delicious take on s'mores. Good atmosphere. Main menu looked good, too. They are planning on changing the tasting menu every few months, and we will be back for that along with the regular.

This is one of the very best restaurants in Wichita. Food is perfectly prepared, it is beautifully presented and affordable priced. They use fresh ingredients and have an open kitchen that allows you to watch every step of the food preparation. Taste and See's menu is all about food fusions, combining ingredients in new and exciting ways. Exotic meats, spices and produce add a unique spin that you can not find in the Midwest. I am gluten free and there are several items on the menu that I can order. They also have vegan and vegetarian options. His wine and drinnk menu is also impressive. If you wanted to dress up and have a night on the town, you could reserve a table and have an amazing evening. If you want to grab some dinner after work with a spouse or some friends, you could show up and just as easily have a great dinner. They are located right in the heart of Old Town, close to several clubs, bars, shops and entertainment. They are right across the street from Hotel Old Town so you can make it part of your Wichita getaway adventure. He has a large patio that is open in the spring and summer. The chef is charismatic and ready to do anything for his clients and his restaurant. He has cooked all over the world and featured on several TV shows. He wants to make his place your food home.

Taste and See uses fresh, healthy ingredients that are put together to create inventive dishes that not only taste great but are pretty to look at as well. Eating at Taste and See is a sensual delight for all 5 senses. If you're looking for a great atmosphere where you can find delicious food at a fair price then look no further than Taste & See. Go! Eat. Enjoy!

I went in with a group of 8 and dinner took over 3 hours!!! The service was terrible, the drinks were inconstant and the same drink ordered 3 times resulted in 3 completely different drinks, several had to be returned to the bar because they were just the wrong drink. The appetizers were ok but the entrees were not good. We were never checked on by anyone during the course of the 3 hours we were there. The atmosphere is too bright and offers no intimacy and the table are cheap and covered in vinyl flooring. This may pass as a 5$ burger stand, but is most defiantly not fine dining.

I have been bugging my husband to come here forever. I was so excited when we finally went! The positives: The shark empanadas were delicious. We both had the gaucho steak, and loved the maduros and yucca fries. Hubby hadn't had yucca before, but enjoyed it. The decor was really exciting. The tres leches cake was phenomenal. I remember being in this location when it was a bar, and I was impressed with the great renovation job. Our waiter was very friendly and knowledgable. The negatives: The restaurant was not very busy, but our waiter still missed the fact that I needed more water. I had to ask both times I wanted a refill. It probably didn't help that the water glasses were a dark blue so he couldn't see the water level without actually peering inside of it. Our gaucho steaks were both a little gristly on one end. My mojito was made with sugar instead of simple syrup, which would be ok if it had dissolved before I took a sip and got a mouthful of grit. We were given little baby spoons to eat the tres leches cake with-seriously, they were the little spoons you sometimes see in condiment dishes. We had to eat about 1/2 teaspoonfuls of cake at a time. The neutrals: Chef delivered out main course and was concerned I wouldn't know how to cut my steak and showed my how to cut against the grain. Kind of sweet, kind of weird, I have been cutting my own steaks(yes, against the grain!) for some time now. Hubby wished he could order a larger draft beer instead of several small ones. All in all, decent, but I doubt I'll be able to convince hubby to go again, it didn't wow him and there are other places he'd rather go.

Brought wife here on a date and then my we took my parents here for father's day. It was incredible both times. Will be going regularly and definitely recommend it to others.

I've come here twice to get my caribbean fix. Sadly, they took off the menu the jamaican sandwich. The second time I had the Chupe soup and it was amazing. Plaintains are always great and the sauce is awesome. Nice, clean place. The staff is always nice and the food come out fast.

Very good menu, with a friendly wait and cooking staff. Only complaint is on Sundays brunch I wish they had more than just the brunch menu available, though good I'd rather order something else.

We enjoyed the Saltinbocca (I believe) and the Duck Pad Thai along with desserts of a take on dulce de leche and a mousse cake with Nutella! Everything as always was amazing. The risotto with the Saltinbocca had apples and cranberries to add a different flavor and texture and I loved it!! Pad Thai had a good portion of duck and lots of flavor! Desserts were of course divine!! Also enjoyed a Fig and bacon martini!! Would never guess to put those flavors together but it worked! Such a treat!

I've been there a few times and the food its never disappointing. It's a great fix for some of us who miss some Caribbean flavor in our life. Now, they need to work on their Mojitos. Seriously.

We had the lead server which was fantastic because he was so informative, well spoken, and took amazing care of us. I suspect it is hard to have a bad experience with service here with the level of training and attention to detail the servers have. That attention to detail is a reflection of what is happening in the kitchen and it shows in the well thought out dishes by one of Wichita's celebrity chefs. My group tried a number of items including the kangaroo and found the appetizers to be the hit of the meal. While I enjoyed the entrees they didn't shine as bright as the first act and so my recommendation is to order lots of starters like tapas and then share an entree. Save room for desert...they are massive and decadent. The wine list could use a little expanding, the entree prices were a little high, and the space is slightly sterile but that's just nitpicking. Overall this is a place that should be tried and revisited. I think like a fine wine Taste & See will only get better with time and it is already a cut above the rest.

We had a dinner of tapas that did not disappoint. Our server was great, though it seemed they needed a designated host at the door. Some people stood there waiting to be greeted/seated. We dined at 530p on a Thursday. Food came out quickly, and nicely presented. The lime, cilantro aioli was fantastic (went along with the plantains). Would love to go back to try some of the main entrees that were offered. The only thing we did not care for was the black bean hummus. We found it to be bland. But overall, a great experience.

Having been to most resturants in Wichita I came to Yelp to get out of the box. Funding this jewel was exciting. Accompanied by a fellow foodie we grabbed a early Tuesday dinner. Remarkable. Waitstaff was knowledgeable and courteous. Urban eclectic atmosphere, not cramped. Wide range of seating options, bar, overlooking chef kitchen and main dining room. Nice to see Cooking chanel on t.v. over bar rather then Sports Center. Prompt delivery of each course and pleasing to the eye before delivery to the taste palette. Larger than average portion sizes. Thrilled to take friends, out of towners and spouse for many more visits. A diamond in the rough in ho-hum Mid America corporate mud.

The food is tremendous. However, the decor is on the opposite end of the spectrum. It has old carpeting (looks like something from an old Days Inn), terrible tables and has a banner hanging from the ceiling!! It makes zero sense. It has the potential to be an excellent 5-star place but can't be taken seriously.

I was visiting family in wichita when we came across this restaurant. Everyone was a bit wary because the menu advertises very strange food. I ended up ordering the gaucho steak and It was bloody good! The service was great, and the waiter was very knowledgeable. All in all, it is definitely worth going to if you are feeling adventurous!

Been to the east Harry location a few times, I enjoyed them all. I've tried the downtown location - it is beautifully presented in every way - Jason is not only a chef, but a business manager that takes into account all of the details to run a good show. Each visit I'm amazed at the amount of staff he has working. The place on Friday 10/24, was pretty sparse and the service was just average. Something is missing, but I cannot put a finger on it. Perhaps the "fusion" style is not 100% my flavor. I had the Shocker Burger, fries were cold (somewhat tasteless), but the tea and burger were decent. A little pricey, but I enjoy the atmosphere and will pay a few extra dollars for it. My friend had the sliders appetizer. He failed to comment on them, but they were all gone, so I assume he enjoyed them. We were both glad to see the Gluten Free offerings, as we have friends that are GFers. The restaurant temperature was very cold. A problem with most during 75-83 degree outdoor days. Good Luck on the future! I hope you can maintain in a very competitive marketplace. If not, you always have your SAG card for Chef flavored TV!

Great place to entertain guests from out of town! Menu changes often and is always impressive in presentation. You need to be a "foodie" or willing to try anything or menu might leave you apprehensive.
