I'm pretty excited about this place opening up in my area. Now I don't have to drive to Kanai or Ninza for decent sushi. I'm basing my review on the saba and ikura sushi...The ikura is a great deal...It's about $3 less per order than Kanai, and I would say just as good. The saba tasted a little fishier (Haha, I know what you're thinking, but good sushi doesn't always taste fishy!) and the knife work and flesh wasn't as good as Kanai's. It's also about the same price as Kanai's for reference. Still, I would return here again. My husband ordered the shrimp and chicken hibachi dinner. He liked the shrimp, but he's not a fan of white meat. He also got an order of the soft shell crab roll...It was pretty good! We asked for less rice, and literally, there was a 1-2 grain thick layer of rice on the roll. Wow! Service is really outstanding here. Our water was always refilled, and they were very conscientious of whether the food was to our liking. The owner came by a few times, and I got to talk to her a bit. She mentioned that Friday was when they get fresh fish, so I recommend you come by before the dinner rush to get the best sushi. I didn't see uni on the menu today, but the owner said that since school just started, things have been a bit slower. Now that they're picking up, she'll start ordering more uni. Score! I can see why this restaurant, which has only been open for 3 mos, already has regulars. There were some Thai items on the menu, which I thought was random. It made me concerned about how good the Japanese food would be. However, Sake's Japanese offerings are solid, and I might come back to try the Thai stuff later. Sake is definitely a good addition to the sushi scene in ICT! Definitely recommend.

As an Fyi for those who ate avoiding wheat or fried foods, they put tempura bits in their spicy tuna and salmon mixes. But they were nice enough to replace my sushi. Also, the rolls were very small in diameter (some only a bit bigger than a quarter coin) and they were strangely chewy, like the rice had been sitting on the nori for a while. The staff was very sweet and accommodating and my date enjoyed the chicken katsu a lot. But another person found the tempura to not be thoroughly cooked. I hope they're able to fix these issues because the remodel looks great and the people were so charming that you really want them to succeed.

Excellent service! A very nice atmosphere. The prices were pretty good too. I got the Wichita Roll and the Christmas roll to go, and both were very good. It did take quite awhile for them to make it, which I found surprising considering they weren't very busy. If you go to sit down, id recommend sitting at the bar.

Food was good. Service was great (may have stopped by our table to ask if everything tastes ok a lot more than necessary). We came here for my parents' birthday dinner and ordered the Love Boat for 2 (~$40) which included 8 sushi rolls, and 12 sashimi pieces and chef's choice of either angel roll or spicy tuna roll. It also comes with miso soup and salad for 2. It was enough to feed all 5 of us. Even so, we also ordered a baked scallop roll. Their Mango sangria and lychee martini was great, but we didn't taste any alcohol nor did we get close to a buzz from it. My mango sangria was served in a big margarita glass. Even finishing that gave me no buzz. The decor is confusing. The bar area and led lighting portrays a more fancy restaurant, but their booths, tables and furniture make it seem like a casual dining joint. So overall, food is good (great presentation) with plenty of drink options. Service is great. Prices are decent. They also serve Thai dishes

AWESOME! Shrimp tempura and chicken hibachi were wonderful. They even made a modification to my dish with no complaints. Their spicy edamame is also amazing! We didn't order any sushi but I saw a plate and it was gorgeous!!

This is one of the best if not the best sushi place I have ever been too. The sushi is great. It is fresh and presented beautifully. The service matches or exceeds the food. I felt very comfortable and at home here. In my opinion the food is underpriced. If you want a great bang for your buck, this is the place. I wish sake was close to my house. I would be a regular customer.

Definitely a great place to stop. We go regularly, mostly for the Sushi. The rolls are very affordable, tasty, and presented beautifully. The service has always been impeccable and the restaurant is very clean. Better sushi, selection, service and prices compared to Wasabi, by far. When we went for our anniversary they were so excited for us and served us a complimentary dessert. :)

The Thai Curry and Pad Thai are absolutely first rate. Service is excellent, atmosphere is pleasant. Nice beverage selection. The chef came out for a chat, nice guy, moved to Wichita from Sunset Park, Brooklyn to start his own establishment. I hope to return soon and try the sushi (interesting combination, Japanese+Thai, and it is a success, so far!)

Excellent service above exemplary! The sushi and sashimi is amazing beyond belief. It is true Japanese when it comes to to restaurant and the staff. This was my first time coming here. I am not easily impressed and it is very hard to find good sushi around here. I'm very big into the Japanese heritage and some places I just say it's goodbut his restaurant blew me away! The waitresses are always there for you and are very nice and kind to you. They ask you if everything is ok but they don't pester you like some restaurants do. Highly recommend this place from the bottom of my heart.

This restaurant is a great find (thanks to Yelp). It's new in Wichita, and not in an heavily travelled area, so it may take a few months for it to catch on. For us it has become a new favorite spot for dining on Japanese and Thai food. Everything we had was first rate for taste and appearance. The wide selection of rolls, sushi and rice dishes are well portioned. What IS that dressing they put on their salads? Yumm. Reasonably priced. We had a Shrimp Tempura roll, Sakura roll, a Pad Thai, two salads and two hot teas all for about $30 (we brought the Pad Thai home for dinner). The service was cordial, quick, and efficient. It's a pleasant atmosphere, plenty of tables, with a long bar on one side of the room with muted flat screen TV's.

We were pleasantly surprised by Sake. The staff was so caring (even though they got extremely busy near the end of our meal). My sake martini was tasty, as were the Sake Roll and edamame. Portions were large and everything we tasted, we liked. We will definitely be back.

My husband and I had dinner at Sake tonight and it was awesome! Really friendly staff. The melon martini was really good. Also the shumai (steamed shrimp dumplings) were amazing!!! You have to try them. So is the fuji roll...to die for! We had an appetizer and 3 rolls plus a cocktail for $43 which is really not bad for the quality of the food and nice presentation. We will be back for more!!!
