Stopped here for dinner on my one night in town. Great beer selection. Glad I listened to my waiter and ordered a burger. He recommended "The Dena", and it was delicious. It's a half pound burger, covered with fried jalapeños and honey whipped cream cheese. I know it sounds weird, but trust me, if you like spicy and sweet, it works!

beer was amazing, food was fine but nothing to write home about. We actually ate here twice on Memorial Day Sunday because we liked the beer so much. They had a special donut hole beer number 4 which was the best dark beer I have had a in a long time. They did not have set flights, but they allowed us to make one, for about 1 or 2 dollars a try.. it was great! Service was good and attentive. We had the greek pizza for lunch, and it was fine but nothing special. When we returned later I had the chicken soup. It was about 10pm and it was a little over done but good. We would definitely go back, mostly to drink and have appetizers. It was walking distance from both the Warren theater and all the old town hotels.

What a gem in downtown Oklahoma. Within walking distance from the Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark and the local walking attractions, one shouldn't miss out on this brew pub. Set in a brick building with a semi dark interior that is both intimate and swanky in a good way. They have all their local home brewed beers cleverly placed on one gigantic beer bottle. They also offer a decent amount of cocktail selections. Their menu offers elevated bar food such as hamburgers, sandwiches, and tasty favorites. I was delighted with their moist meatloaf wrapped in bacon that was topped with a spicy chili ketchup. The sides of home made mashed potatoes and veggies were great on their own. I finished the meal with a pan-hot apple crisp smothered in vanilla ice cream. Worthy of a stop for this gal on a road trip!

I travel a lot in a small geographic area: Kansas Missouri and Illinois. I like to find local (and some times not) micro or craft breweries at the end of the day. I have turned into quite a fan of IPAs. The Black Eye PA at River City Brewing Company in Old Town Wichita, KS is quite possibly the best IPA I've ever enjoyed. Thanks for a great experience.

Nice atmosphere, fast service, good local brew. One thing; a cowboy ribeye is supposed to be bone-in!

Come for the beer, not for the food. I sat at the bar and had a taste of the Dim Wit and Belgian Golden Rye and decided on the latter. It was hoppy with the perfect amount of Rye. Plus, at $5 it was a great value. I am a vegetarian and asked if I should try one of the Mac and cheese options or an appetizer and salad. On the bartender's recommendation I ordered the $9 beer Mac and cheese with a $2 side salad. The salad was edible but nothing special, and the Mac and cheese tasted just like Velveeta. After my first bite she asked what I thought, and I said it was just ok, and tasted like Velveeta. No attempts to make other recommendations or options, so I just ate the over-priced, under-flavored Mac and cheese. Bottom line: make yourself a $2 box of Mac and cheese at home, and put the $7 you saved towards another beer. As a bonus, it is right next to the Museum of World Treasures, which I quite enjoyed.

Completely uninspired menu and they were out of the only two beers on the menu that I would be interested in. This place is touristy and generally poor quality pizza and burgers accompanied by the same things you can get at any Applebees or similar chain any where in the country. Plenty of other interesting options nearby. Go explore and find something interesting.

I had written off River City Brewery. Bad food, OK beer, etc., etc. Recently went again, and was completely surprised, and impressed, with what I found. The beer was excellent. I had several glasses of the IPA, and it was crisp and refreshing with the right amount of hops. The food was excellent as well. We had a large group, 10 adults and 2 children, and each appetizer and entree we ordered was excellent. The wings are fantastic, with a good buffalo flavor and a fair amount of heat. The poutine is something you definitely should try. The smoked pork and french fries make an excellent base to support the rich brown gravy. Pizzas were excellent, we tried the Manhattan and the DaVinci. Both were crowd pleasers. The real find was the Mac and Cheese. We ordered for the kids when we ordered appetizers, and my two year old was delivered this perfect bowl of macaroni and cheese. Most of the Mac and Cheeses on restaurants' kids' menus are ...less than stellar. This was different. Actual pasta shells, actual cheese, and an impressive sauce. My son gobbled it up, and my sister in law and I immediately changed our orders to Mac & Cheese - one with broccoli, and one with hot links and a bbq sauce drizzle. Both were excellent. I would definitely head back to River City Brewery again. They were able to host our fairly large party with ease. The servers were friendly, and our drinks were never empty (especially our beers). The only thing keeping this from being a five star review is that, when we ordered dessert, the cheesecake was slightly frozen on the inside. Really a small thing in the overall picture of a great meal, a great experience.

Better than average. large menu, friendly staff, unless you go in at 9:50 on a Sunday, lol. Wichita closes early so don't be surprised if there is no late night food in most restaurants, that is if you consider 10 pm late night. Lots of tv's for sports tho.

Tis a nice place to grab a meal and a pint while visiting Wichita. The service is great, even during busy times. The food if served hot and fast, and the brews on tap are just what you'd want.

I was in Wichita for business and decided to stop in for dinner at river city. Good bar atmosphere here and the service was good. We sat at the bar and had a couple of the local beers which were great. Try the IPA that they brew themselves. Food was typical bar food, nothing special. Overall, decent place if your looking for a drink and a quick bite.

Visiting on a work trip. Beers were decent but with all do respect I compare it to northwest brewing. Had a good ambience, kinda rustic. Service was acceptable. I wouldn't write home about it but our server was friendly and made her recommendations. We had a couple pizzas, the chicken ranch and am Italian inspired, both of which I thought were ok. The crust could use a revamp otherwise it was a decent pie.

We've been here a few times for the beer, but finally got to go at supper time and check out the food. First off, the spicy capicola rolls are awesome! Will definitely get them again! Sorry the picture isn't exactly a full plate, I'm getting used to remembering to get pictures for this. My boyfriend ordered a burger, the name of which we don't remember, and is not listed on the old menu that they have posted online. It was a full temp overcooked and had a honey cream cheese on it that was a bit overly sweet against the jalopenos, but not bad overall. For myself, kid's chicken strips and mac and cheese. Any place that allows adults to order from the kids menu gets bonus points from me. Chicken strips have a good breading and are large, but were left in the fryer a tad longer than they should have been. Mac and cheese was worth the dollar upcharge. Beers were good as usual, I'm still learning how to drink craft beer, so I got the harvester wheat, while my boyfriend had a couple different IPAs and the new Donut Whole. It's a pineapple flavor that isn't too pineapple-y, but has zero donut flavor. The first one he'd had, we believe it was the original, but it could have been the second, was awesome. This one, not so much. They have the most expensive growlers of any brewery we've been too, won't be refilling it there. Service was good until we got to the end of our meal and our waitress disappeared for a long time. We'd been sat against a far wall and were unable to flag anyone down for another drink before we needed to get on the road, even though they weren't busy. We'll definitely go back though, even if it's just for beer and spicy capicola rolls!

Friday at 430 pm walked right in and was immediately seated by a smiling face. Brian was my server and he did a splendid job. We charge a bit about homebrew and i.p.a.s, he seemed well educated on the beers and menu. I got a sampler and it was later out in an appropriate manner as to not destroy my pallet. I would recommend this place for sure!

EXCELLENT mac and cheese! Got the buffalo chicken mac, and my boyfriend had fried chicken mac. Pretty darn good beers also. Service was so-so. Would go back for the Mac and cheese.

I give this place a 3 stars because this place is more about the atmosphere than the food. We had reservations for a Friday I'm not sure if it was necessary. We got a a less than desirable table in the corner for calling ahead. Our waitress was very good, she didn't rush us at all as we were there for 2.5 hours talking and catching up. I'm not much of a beer person so their selection I assume is okay. I would not recommend getting any appetizers with chips, not very good at all. Their garden salads are very delicious!! I got the Sicilian Pizza very greasy but the crust was very good!

I love this place. Made two quick stops here for lunch and sampled 2 beers and then had one on the second visits. I'm a huge fan of the Old Town Brown. Great foods. Super friendly staff. I'd never heard of chicken pot pie soup, so the waitress brought me a tiny cup to sample and it was amazing. I've had the spicy capicola rolls on one visit. YUM. And they do have a little spice. Shrimp tacos on the second visit and YUM again. I'd honestly have preferred the shrimp be a little larger/have a bit more grill or char flavor to them, but the avocado, toppings and feta made up for the flavor. I was heading for a different place each time I came here...and something just drew me in. Give it a try.

Really gone down hill! Terrible terrible service. Everyone's dinner came out except for the seven-year-olds which came out about 45 minutes later and then they had the nerve to ask us if we were ready for boxes when the seven-year-old had just got her food. Didn't have most of the food on the menu and didn't have beer bread.

The beer here is really by far one of the best in the Midwest.... I have been to Colorado many times to many breweries, and this place really would give any Colorado brewery a run for their money.... Everytime I am in Wichita I try to make it by here to get some good food, some good beer, and to fill up a big GROWLER to take home... Yup, that's right folks, you can bring in your own growler and they will fill it up, and keep it cold for you until you are ready to head home.... Great place- the wings here are really good also.... personal favorites..

I've been here a few times and have really enjoyed it. I've had the buffalo Mac and cheese, buffalo pizza, and buffalo chicken sandwich. Goes to say I really like their buffalo sauce, but they have other good items as well. Great beer and atmosphere as well
Great beer. Great service. I work for Lagunitas brewery so I know a good beer when I taste one, and the cellar man IPA was delicious. It was the quest essential Midwestern IPA I was looking for. The staff was amazing and quick to serve without rushing. Cheers,

Agree with our waitress comment when we asked her what entree she liked. "Beer is good". Very true, pizza and chicken dip was good, but this place is where you go for beer.

Amazing beer selection, and have yet to have anything from here I don't enjoy. They have an amazing salmon dish, as well as great burgers, pizza, wraps, fried chicken. This is the place I love starting out before going out for an evening downtown. The beer and the atmosphere just make it very enjoyable.

This place combined with Loft 150 can be very confusing to a new person. What is it? A restaurant/brewery or is it a club/live music venue? To answer accurately, RCB is a restaurant/brewery. An average one at best. The place itself is very brightly lit adorned with stained wood covering every section. Walked in with a friend the the hostess basically ignored us for 4-5 minutes. I was trying to get her attention, but it was apparently elsewhere. The menu is basic as it focuses on pizza and burgers for the most part. They do have some steaks and their appetizers are very texmex influenced. I had the Quesadilla and had their seasonal Pumpkin beer. Waitress was very attentive and service was good. Food came out pretty quick in about 10-15 minutes. The Quesadilla was alright and very greasy. It came with salsa and sour cream. For the price, I'm fairly sure you can find a better option elsewhere. I have had their pizza before and it was pretty good. Their beer menu could have some prices listed on it. I wasn't aware the Pumpkin beer was 6 dollars. The beer itself was very Pumpkinee and similar to the Schlafly Pumpkin Ale but a bit more harsh.

I had some great grilled fish tacos from this place. The fish had a nice, clean citrusy seasoning with no strong, over-powering flavors like oregano. But I've only been once. So I may have to adjust the numbers of stars at a later date.

If you eat here, make sure that you have more than one bathroom at home. Because you will all be fighting over it. Three of us ate here, and all of us got mad food poisoning. Reviews are supposed to be descriptive, but you really don't want that this time. You also can't rely on the menu. The three interesting things that I first picked were all "out". In fact, the server had to start pointing out entire sections that weren't available. At the beginning of the lunch hour. On a weekday, when shipments are plentiful. There are far better options nearby. Edit: We were asked for clarification, since food poisoning isn't an accusation to make lightly. Two of us had fish and chips, and the third had a turkey sandwich. The only appetizer we shared was some beer bread. We each had different beers. This was the first food/drink we had in common all week, so when we all got sick within hours, there was no question why. As for the menu items, we were told the bottom four beers were unavailable, as well as some select appetizers, and one of the desserts. I have terrible luck, since I had picked three of these things. Definitely a bad first impression.

GREAT beer selection if you are into craft beers. Service was spot on also never had an empty drink. Great music playing!! Food was pretty good, nothing spectacular typical bar fair. Will be back for sure!

Pretty average menu with various pickings. We opted for fish-n-chips and the bone in chop. Both dishes were just MEH. The only option for fries were the waffle fries, not my favorites. The pork chop came out a bit on the tough and dry side. Other items on the menu looked inviting such as the ribs and salmon, but, if they can't get a pork chop right, why would you expect them to get the ribs and fish right? They brew their own beers, which, is always a plus in my book. When we got there it was crowded and loud. Friendly, fun atmosphere, but, not to crazy about their beers. I just couldn't find one that I fancied, so, we booked.

I'm not sure what all the moaning and groaning going on here is about. I like RCB and I don't even like most places (look at my reviews!). I normally sit at the bar, it seems to be short staffed because they are always slammed on Saturday afternoons so it can be kind of hard to get a beer at certain times. But I'm not there to slam back beer anyway. This is Wichita, folks. The beer is pretty good, everyone is really nice, the food is good and it's an amazing place to watch a game. I also really like it when people ask for a bud light and get turned down. Makes my black hear smile a little.

Creative beers & tasty food - I'll definitely be back to this Wichita gem. Thankfully I went on a Thursday ($2 pints til 7). We really enjoyed the queso dip & the greek pizza- the crust was really flavorful & crispy. I tried a Hefeweizen brewed with a saison yeast- it had the sweetness of a belgian but the lightness of a wheat beer. My friend tried the lemongrass wheat - it was VERY floral on the nose but had a mild flavor. I liked the inventiveness of the microbrews here & the old building down in Old Town was very charming.

The wings were amazing! I would totally buy their sauce if they sold it! Didn't really feel like a "brewery" atmosphere. But I'd say money well spent

We arrived here late but they were still cordial and pleasant. The service was quick. I had the Mac n Cheese, which was kind of a small portion and somewhat cold. I wouldn't order it again. My husband had the fish n chips. They were AMAZING. I nabbed a bunch of his waffle fries which were crisp and perfectly seasoned. His fish was perfectly cooked and tasty. And, the portion size was generous. We will come back!!

We ate in the upstairs bar area and experienced the worst service ever. The bartender, for whatever reason, blatantly ignored us. We were able to get one round of decent beer but that was all we ever got. We would have liked to have ordered food but the bartender didn't want more of our money apparently, since she continued to serve others and ignore us. When we were able to flag her down and tell her we wanted to order food she made up an excuse about the computer not working and then disappeared again. Fed up, we finally left and then she suddenly felt the need to make a half-hearted apology. Too little, too late. The only reason I am giving two stars instead of one is because the beer we did have was perfectly fine. Since we sat upstairs, maybe the regular area of the restaurant is better. But honestly, don't come here because there are better options nearby.

Great place to hang out for lunch or in the evening with friends. The waiting staff are friendly and know about the food. Everything I've ate here has been great tasting every time. The chicken tenders, fish & chips and BBQ chicken pizza are good first timers choices. It has a good atmosphere, high ceilings so it doesn't feel cramped and even a night club type bar upstairs. It's a good place to start your Saturday night partying here in Oldtown.

This place was just so-so. The food was not BAD, it was just not as expected. I ordered the Cuban Sandwich which was to be be : "Pork loin and ham with spicy slaw, pickles and Old Town Brown Mustard. -- 8.99". What it was, was shaved turkey and shaved ham. It did have some slaw, but I don't think it had any mustard. The fries were good. Flavor of the sandwich was not bad, but I was expecting roasted pork loin and this tasted like shaved deli meat from Walmart. I ordered the Harvester Wheat beer, and asked my server if this was close to Boulevard Wheat. She said it was. It tasted like carbonated water with a lemon slice. My husband had the Chicken Fried steak with fries instead of mashed potatoes. They brought it with the mashed potatoes, but quickly made the remedy. The servers seemed to be doing the best they could, but did not give their names. It WAS busy, as tonight is the Saturday night before St. Patty's Day. Probably won't go back. Just a disappointment in the menu and what was actually delivered. Again, not a BAD experience, just was not what I had hoped for on a fun anniversary dinner with my husband and our first time to Old Town.

I've been here on two occasions. I came here once to meet up with a friend for a beer. The interior decor is nice, all wooden inside and feels a bit like going to a lodge in a ski resort. The service and the food was average. I had the 12 pack of buffalo wings which although the price was reasonable, I thought they could have been more meatier. I also had a harvester wheat beer. On another occasion I came to meet with a group of people. Again, the service and the appetizers were average. We had several platters of appetizers including the quesadilla, spinach and artichoke dip and also had pizza, the sicilian. The thin crust pizza was decent, however. I would like to say that I would come here again, but I think there are better pubs in town.

Brianna E.
I returned and tried the Greek pizza, it is so much better than some of the other items I've had here. I'm actually glad I tried it, I really liked it. Once in a while they run half price pizzas, and when they do it's totally worth it.

Best food and beer in Wichita by far. The chicken fried steak is my favorite. They always have a large selection of beers on tap. I compare every place I eat at to River City.

We reserved the banquet room here for a baby shower and had the hamburgers & french fries from the catering menu. Most of the hamburgers were almost raw and the french fries came out 30 minutes after the rest of the food. Buns were hard and cold. The only positive thing I can say about the experience was the waitress we had; she was polite and attentive. The $450 spent was a waste of money.

Great atmosphere. Salads and French fries were delicious. The Buffalo Chicken Sandwich is odd... Huge piece of battered fried chicken smothered in sauce. Better choice than Wichita Brewing Company for local brews.

I am an avid "beer tourist" so when my group and I had a few hours to kill in Wichita on a Saturday, I suggested that we check out River City. Overall, the experience was a good one. We tried two 8-item samplers (there were three of us total) and the amount of beer was just right. We also got some artichoke and spinach dip and queso to munch on, both of which were excellent. I enjoyed about half of the beers we sampled, and the other half were definitely drinkable. I wouldn't say that there was a "bad" beer in the bunch, although some of their staple beers are kind of average (with the exception of the Tornado Alley IPA, which is excellent). We were in during American Craft Beer Week, so they had an expanded tap list of 16 beers total, which was awesome. My positive opinion of River City was cemented when they sold us a growler of our favorite beer to take home for only $10+tax. (We had our own growler in the car.) Well played, River City. If I'm ever in Wichita again, I'll be back.

Beer: it's a brewpub so the draft beer is brewed in tanks that you can see from the bar. When I visited there were 5 menu beers and 3 seasonal beers (on blackboard) I liked the menu beer I had, Tornado Alley IPA. I didn't care for the bland Belgian seasonal. Food: standard bar & grill fare. I had the mac & cheese with broccoli. Cheese sauce was a bit soupy, but broccoli was freshly steamed. "Mac" was actually shells - on the soft side but still firm. Service: I sat at the bar. The bartender was friendly but slow to notice when my glass was empty. Also she did not seem very knowledgeable about beer - surprising for a brewpub. Overall: worth a stop if you like brewpubs and happen to be in the area. Not sure I would recommend it for dinner based on my one visit.

I enjoy places like this where you can stop in for some craft beer and pick up some food while you're there. During my last stay in Wichita I ended up in here three times, though on the first time it was so crowded we ended up leaving almost as soon as we walked in. It was a Friday night, so I guess that's to be expected. On the other two occasions I came in with my extended family for lunch. Both times we were a fairly large party (12, then 7), so I can only speak for the service given to big groups. I wasn't overly impressed with the staff's treatment of us. To be fair, my grandfather was a little short with our server the first time, but each step took forever. We were waiting for drinks, then we were waiting to order, then we were waiting for food. The second time I went it was the same thing, though this time with a different server. They were nice enough people, but they were pretty darn slow. The food was fine, nothing to get excited about. We ordered chips and salsa as an appetizer (actually the salsa was pretty good, considering we were in Wichita). I ordered the fish tacos for some reason, I suppose I am longing for the ones I used to get back home in California. Again, for Wichita they were not bad. The second time I had a fajita wrap which was not bad. there was a bit too much chicken in it for me, and it was a little dry. I smothered it with the salsa ranch to compensate. I only tried the Old Town Brown while I was there, though it was pretty good. Not too shabby. My dad seemed to be a pretty big fan of their Emerald City Stout. Also, it's worth a mention that their kids' menu chocolate milk looked pretty neat. My little cousins each had one and there was chocolate syrup zigzagged within the cup. I thought the cups looked small, but I suppose it's enough for the little ones. All in all, service left much to be desired, food was ok, beer was pretty good. Worth a try if you're ever in Wichita.

Great location, and the best chicken tenders! When I am not in the mood for the chicken tenders I like to come here for cheap pizzas on Wednesdays. Beer is cheap on Wednesdays and they brew in house. Great downtown spot that you can sit on the balcony when the weather is nice.

Great food, ambiance, and scenery. I had the blue cheese burger and their craft beer...they made an octoberfest style beer very similar to a amber pils. It was quite tasty and well worth the trip. I plan on heading back again to enjoy their libations.

I've eaten a lot of black bean burgers and this one was the best I've had - it had a nice kick to it thanks to the corn relish. We had a very efficient waiter, which helped a lot for our larger party with several separate tickets. It was nice enough for adults and kid-friendly enough for my son, who enjoyed his mac & cheese. My husband got the Greek pizza which he proclaimed "outstanding". In town for Automoblia and staying at the nearby Hotel at Old Town so this was the perfect lunch spot for us.

If you're looking for a fun atmosphere (you can always find a game on one of the many screens near the bar) and micro-brewed goodness; than River City Brewery is the spot to go. It has been our pre-Thunder game stop all season. There are about 5 staple beers on tap that are made year round along with the seasonal specialties that are changed throughout the year. The food is always delicious. Service is quick if you want but they will also let you dine in peace. Go on the weekends (Fri-Sat I believe) and they normally have live music. (Typically two guitarist; music wise think Tom Petty to Bob Dillon and as fast as Aerosmith). They do a wonderful job of entertaining and will take requests. If you are in Old Town you should def. swing in for a beer and if you like it; you will love the food. As for my beer of choice; I go back and forth from the Wheat to the Red and sometimes the IPA.

best chicken tenders in town. the fish and chips are pretty killer too. i've never been disappointed with thier menu. great beer as well, with seasonal beers rotated regularly. my favorite is the harvester wheat, but the rock island red is a close second.

I've never had something that I didn't like off their menu. Great prices and great beer. A little upset they don't have a drink menu for liquor but it is a brewery. The staff has always been great about accomodating our large groups. I call ahead and they're always happy to reserve a table for 10+. This is the favorite place for my group of friends to start the eveing. We have dinner and drinks and then develop the rest of the evening festivities. Its location is superb since there are so many follow-on options within walking distance.

A good deal of effort goes into making a brewpub, so I've rarely been to one that isn't at least pretty good. River City makes it on the beers, and while the food was pretty good, too. I started my meal with a sampler of everything River City has to offer by way of their beer sampler. I enjoyed all of them, though the brown ale and stouts were my favorite. Artisan pizzas are certainly the specialty of the restaurant, but I wasn't feeling it, so I went for their burgers, which also maintain a prominent position on the menu. The bourbon bacon cheeseburger - a standard burger with a bourbon sauce. When I ordered, I learned that the restaurant grinds their meat on-site, which I found very impressive. River City is leaning more towards five stars than four, but I'm keeping my reservations until I try the pizzas. In any case, River City is a fine choice for a bite and a beer or five amongst a fine collection of Old Town restaurants.

Slow service. Very slow. 4pm Sunday. Very few customers roughly 8 waitresses. 20 minutes between a waitress check in after drinks. Come on, seriously? - once the waitress engaged that we were there she was quite nice. My wife happened to mention that she believes the wait staff were not being told when someone was sat in their sections ( something she overheard ) regardless of specific reasons, this experience was not very good, and because of It I would probably pick somewhere else.

Had the SoCal Chicken Salad and everything was just fine. Seasoned chicken, ripe avocado, ripe strawberries, and really good avocado dressing. The beer was VERY good. The IPA was creamy, fruity, and bitter. Add some salty food and you are in heaven! The wheat was a big hit at the table... unfiltered and very refreshing. : )

Great micro brews! I tried the Tornado Alley, Rock Island Red, and The Downtown Brown. All great beers! I had the fish and chips, hubby had the Italian pizza. (We like to share our food so we get the best of all worlds at places like this.) The pizza was good, nice crust, decent cheese. The pepperoni wasn't anything to write home about, but it was still a good pizza and the sausage was tasty. The fish and chips were nicely done. I will even forgive them for using fresh frozen fish. Very crispy and flaky. Would have only been better had the fish been fresh. Waffle fries were basic waffle fries, nothing special but the seasoning is a nice change from the usual seasoning salt. For dessert, we shared bread pudding. Fabulous! It was wonderful and the portion was plenty for two people to share.

Had dinner here with friends this weekend. The menu was pub-type food, really well done. For those who like something a little higher end, they also have steaks. The brews are amazing, and Keely, our waitress made the entire night an amazing experience. Big kudos to Keely and staff!

Definitely pub food and atmosphere. Had a dinner with 8 other people, so we were expecting slower service, but were pleasantly surprised! Our waitress was phenomenal and on top of things. Kept all our glasses full and properly split the checks at the end of the night! The food was pretty standard. I greatly enjoyed my country-fried steak and potatoes and my friends enjoyed their pasta and pizza plates. Oh, and the ribs and potato skins were pretty delicious. I'm allergic to beer, so I left that to my comrades, but they all really enjoyed their brews (from the IPA to the seasonal stout). When we're in the Wichita area again, we would consider a return trip here.

The beer wasn't anything special, but it might be good to Kansas. The service was aloof and so were the patrons. I would skip this if I were to visit Wichita again.

Sunday evening I enjoyed both a Dark Knight Imperial Stout and a Prairie Fire Lager (brewed with coffee from Prairie Fire Roasters). The standard brew list is good. The two specialty beers I had were great. I'm looking forward to trying more specialty menu beers in the future. For eats I had the Tomato Basil Pizza. Nice thin crispy crust, large slices of tomato and a great basil flavor. Good pizza, great beer. Service was good also. The bartender (Ashley) knew what she was talking about when it came to beer. It's nice to see a business with employees who give you more than blank stares when you ask a question or for a recommendation.

Best part of taking new employees out to lunch is to gauge their lunching experience. We ordered an app, the Cactus Queso, to which, adorable new employee commented, "uhm, is there real cactus in this?" Awww, (pats employee on head, stay pretty :)) Said Queso, with its mysterious cheese and spices was very good, it was steaming like crazy but oddly not temperature hot at all. Could we just have a job where getting a glass of beer during work hours just isn't a big deal? Sadly, no tasty beer for us but the offerings were very similar to the Power Plant (formerly in Parkville, MO.) I love places where there's something for everyone. I ordered the Fajita Chicken salad, the others had "My Big Fat Greek Wrap," and the Fish and Chips. The dressing for the salad was some kind of salsa (no chunks) and ranch, pretty runny but flavorful. I asked for extra salsa and they just sent more ranch salsa so I went with it. The Greek wrap came with fries and the co-worker commented that it was kind of salty but she liked it. The fish and chips were CRAZY hot and I guess enjoyable but on the small side. (The actual planks not the whole serving.) I love that we've found a new place. They are open late except for Sunday through Tuesday. I'll have to go back to test the brewery part.

How's the food? I don't know because after waiting over 30 minutes (we had been told the wait was 15 minues) the hostess told us just to go upstairs and seat ourselves. We were stopped at the top of the stairs by a bouncer who carded us. We are in our 50s. He told us to sit anywhere. We selected a table and waited. Then we waited some more. We tried to no avail to catch the attention of someone, anyone, who worked here but it appeared that we had somehow pulled off being invisible. When no one came to bring us menus we finally left after about 10 minutes. We had just driven over 6 hours and were too hungry to continue just watching other people eat. I will never try to patronize this place again. It is very disorganized and there does not seem to be anyone working there who has a clue how to run a dining establishment.

River City Brewery has so much faith in their beers that they will not sell any other beer downstairs. Not just in the bar but the whole downstairs restaurant you can not get a Bud Light or Coors or anything except their brews. Humm not a good choice in my opinion. To top that, the bartenders are rude, and lack basic customer service skills. This is really too bad because they have a great gutiarist on Fri and Sat nights.

Stopped by after the Anchor. It was pizza night special...not bad and a good price. Enjoyed a glass of their local brew. Not bad. Really nice barback on the night I was there. Sean?? Young funny and accommodating kid.

Good micro brew selection. Food is fair, nothing super fancy, but I admit I haven't tried it all yet.

Good food. Service is hit and miss. Good prices for meals. Table selections is good except for during winter months (cold days) then there are four tables that flat out suck! There is a door of to the side (not main enterance) that when opened allows cold air in, in other it lacks a double door enterance.

This place was awesome! Maybe the fact that I'd been on a diet of no alcohol and only fruits, veggies, and lean protein made the food taste better than it actually is, but wow, I really enjoyed what I had. I ordered a seasonal Irish triple (I forget the name, but they brew it in house) and the Manhattan pizza. The beer was delicious, not too light but very flavorful with citrus overtones. I am simultaneously ashamed and proud to say that I ate the WHOLE PIZZA myself. Crispy crust, perfectly cooked, fresh toppings: my only complaint is that the olives were whole instead of sliced so I ended up removing most of them because that's just too much olive taste in one bite for my liking. Beyond the food, the atmosphere is very inviting and I love the pithy beer quotes on the walls. I will definitely be returning if I come back to Wichita for business!

The pizzas are great (4-star) but the ribs were just OK. It was probably not helped by serving them warm - probably should;d have nuked them a little longer in the microwave. The service was acceptable - could have been better. Definitely with dropping in if you are in the mood for a tasty, thin crust pizza.

I had dinner and sampled all the beers. I had the Cuban sandwich, really dry and no flavor, although I sampled all the beers, I didn't find any I rally liked. I will say I'm not a huge ipa fan and most of them were ipa's.

River City Brewery is a great place to meet up with friends after work and grab a drink. Their house made beers are pretty great. Wednesday night has great specials on beers and pizzas, and is definitely the night to try it out if you have never been here before.

Wangs and pizza: awesome! Some say the buffalo sauce is too vinegary, but I love it-- if it's burning your nostril hairs and making your eyes water, it's doing its job. The Manhattan pizza was the right amount of meat and veggies, and the thin crust was perfect. I tried the seasonal beer, the Honey Rye, and could have easily taken down another, it was so sweet and mild. However it was also 11.2%, and it was not my first (or last) beer of the evening. Service was cheerful and not too overbearing (like the pushy chick at Lucky's-- ughhhh). We were there to watch the KU/ K-State game and listen to the hippie guy sing. He took a request from my boyfriend's mom, which made her, and us in turn, happy. Great spot. It's never my go-to for bar food and games, but maybe it ought to be.

A pretty good place to catch a meal before a night of drinking. I had the macaroni and cheese topped off with pieces of fried chicken. Thought it was really good, but it's probably ridiculous to price macaroni and cheese at $10. Despite being a brewery, it really doesn't give off the vibe of a drinking establishment. They do brew their own beer and it's just okay. Basically if you want a decent meal in an area filled with bars, I'd say give it a try.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Wichita, but we haven't eaten here in about four months until tonight. Why? Cause we didn't have a good experience the last time we went and my husband really didn't want to go back tonight but I talked him into it. What a horrible decision that was! The food, I must say, was excellent.... but the service was some of the worst I've ever seen. Now, I will say that it was very busy. And I understand being short handed... but when we are completely ignored while waitresses fall over themselves trying to help a table with a large number of people at it.... well, it doesn't make me happy. When we walked in, we were seated right away and our waitress didn't take too long to come help us. She took our drink and food order and came back a few minutes later with our drinks. Mine was wrong... and so began the attempt to get the drink corrected. Our appetizer was brought out by apparently a busboy, who didn't stay at the table long enough for me to even open my mouth and request a corrected soda. Our food was brought the same way. By this time, my husband had drained his drink glass and was now waiting on a refill as well as someone to tell that his food order was actually not right. 10 minutes after our food was delivered we were still waiting for our maitress to come help us. Meanwhile several waitresses had passed our table, going to large tables behind us. We asked them twice to find our waitress, but nothing came of that. We finally had to request to speak to the manager. This was about 20 minutes after our food was delivered... which was now cold cause we were waiting for drinks! My husband and I don't get to go out often and this experience completely ruined our date night. Yes, we did get our meal free but I would much rather have paid for it and had the service one should expect. I really love the fettucene alfredo there.... unfortunately after tonight it's probably gonna be another 4 months.

Great pizza and beer. They have an excellent IPA for $4. Their chicken-fried steak is ENORMOUS! It is a really nice place downtown to meet up with some friends for dinner or start off a night out in Old Town.

River City makes great beer! I'm a big fan of their brown and red ales. I know many people who are HUGE fans of their wheat beer. Delicious pizzas too. The service is top-notch and helpful. They will tell you anything you want to know about their beers, their operation, their food or anything in Wichita you want to know about. Inexpensive and awesome menu, heavy on bar-type food but a step above in quality. My favorite place in Old Town.

I ended up at River City Brewery with some friends during a recent visit to Wichita. It's one of the few non-chain places in Wichita that's open for dinner after 8 on Sundays. This micro-brewery and restaurant is a kind of Wichita landmark. It's in the old town entertainment district and is surrounded by several other bars, clubs, and restaurants. I had a mushroom-swiss burger and a Rock Island RED beer, both of which were very tasty and very reasonably priced. My friends felt the same about their beers and food orders (pizza, veggie burger, and chicken tenders). This is a great casual dining/drinking spot. I'm definitely going back the next time I am in Wichita.

If I lived here, this would definitely be a regular hang out for me. The decor is rustic western, not a favorite of mine (but, hey, we're in Kansas.... what do you expect?) But the beer I had was very tasty - Tornado Alley IPA. Not as bitter as a usual IPA - really yum. And the music was so awesome!!! Bowie, Go-Go's, The Smiths, Concrete Blonde... I was so into that vibe. The french dip I had was super delicious. The fries were hot and well seasoned. When I asked about mustard options, I was offered the home made version. Yes! I was by myself, and I was completely comfortable hanging out there, enjoying the food and the beer. Absolutely give it a try if your travels bring you to Wichita. (And if you live here!)

I went on Wednesday and was surprised with $3 draft beers and $6 pizzas. My bill was under $10, and the pizza was incredibly good, better than some pizzas I've had for more than triple the price. The only downside is that the list of pizzas they have available is rather small. I wish I lived here, or else I would be back here every Wednesday.

As a visitor to the area, I thought Old Town was charming and was encouraged by the old, fading mural on the brick building. The beer was good, but the food was not. When we told the waitress we were from out of town and wanted to try what they were known for, she listed off most of the menu. Including chicken tenders and artichoke dip. Our table shared chicken wings, which were rather tasty but could have been spicier for my taste. The aforementioned artichoke dip was fine--not stand out. (I guess orders like that rarely are.) The fajita salad was disappointing. Bland salsa, cold chicken, runny dressing.

this place is overcrowed, the barternders are very rude. Went there for dinner and was told that they didn't care if I stayed to eat or not. Maybe they have to much business and can afford to lose customers. They permanently lost my business.

The food was very good. The only complaint I have is the amount of time it took to get our food and the service. It took 20 minutes before the server took our order and it took 40 minutes after our order was taken for us to receive the food. So if you are not in a hurry and want so so service, but good food, I highly recommend this place. The buffalo chicken pizza was excellent!

This is not the best brew pub in the world, but the service is good and some of the brews aren't half bad. I enjoyed the amber ale and the IPA. It was an okay place.

Not good. I got the queso and a southwest chicken wrap. The queso was a weird stringy consistency. My chicken was crazy dry and overdone. Horrible. And to top it off, the service was ridiculously slow and out waitress didn't seem to notice we were there most of the time. Definitely won't be going back.

I'm sorry. Quality has gone WAY DOWN here. Pizzas are the only thing I'd still order here. Don't get the alfredo pasta...used to be a favorite, now it's the most boring bland thing ever. Maybe its new chefs or new management, but something has made this place go down the tubes food-wise.

Here for lunch -- the pizza was great! Good wait staff, and kid friendly. My wife's salad left something to be desired. Didn't get to have a beer :-)

Nothing fancy here, just good beer and good food. I've been here about 3 or 4 times now and it has always been a good choice. The sirloins are enormous. They look more like ribeyes without the fat. The beer is top notch as well.

Erin M.
I thought the service was actually very good, especially considering our server had AT LEAST five other tables. She was very pleasant and informative, and we didn't have to wait forever for anything. I got the beer brat with onions instead of sauercraut, and it was yummy! I also loved the atmosphere. I will definitely be returning.
(4)

I'll get the worst out of the way first.. the waiters/waitress' aren't that great. Other than that, the food is fantastic. The atmosphere is great. I'd rather pay the price here than Applebee's! I've had their Brewben several times, and loved it each time.

Great ambience and beer, to start with. No complaints about the service, either, and the spinach & artichoke dip was good, but I'm afraid the other food we had (burgers, fries, mayonnaise) was on the bland side. Not unacceptably so, but nothing special, either.

It was great! Came here for lunch and coming back for dinner and breakfast/ lunch tomorrow. Not really but sounds good to my very happy tummy . 5 kinds of Mac n cheese. Our table had three and loved it. I would have given 5 stars but the don't offer a gf option save the grilled meat dishes. I really wanted fish tacos but the tortillas are made with a corn/flour mix :(

Beer was OK, food wasn't great. The cleanliness concerns me, especially for a place thats brewing. The entire ceiling has dust hanging all over it like it hasn't been cleaned in years. The rest of the restaurant seems okay but the ceiling is pretty gross.

We left Oklahoma City on a Monday morning with Independence, Missouri as our destination. Given that we didn't leave that first metropolis until about 10AM, by the time we left the Kansas Turnpike it was about one in the afternoon, and the hunger pangs had arrived. Upon seeing a sign for Old Town, we realized that this was about as good of a start to find a decent restaurant as any, and proceeded in that direction. I'd known that this city could get hot, but I was unprepared for its intensity nonetheless. Upon parking at the intersection of N Moore and E 2nd N (I seriously get tired of the whole E/W/N/S numbered schematic, but I'll leave that for my city review), we took a look around. Sabor, Old Chicago, Pumphouse.. meh, all were reasonable last-ditch options, but we were looking for something more enticing. Finally, we stumbled across River City Brewing, muttered "That's the ticket!", and went inside. For those like us who have visited many a brewpub, there's nothing about this location that'll make you go "Wow! I've never seen THIS before!", but that being said, it is more than a viable option. Lots of beer options (it is a brewery, after all), along with the usual array of burgers, pizzas, and other hearty options. Given that we still had another 200 or so miles to travel, I didn't partake in any beer, instead choosing the Buffalo Chicken Pizza. That was tasty, filling, and did not leave me with a tummyache. But it didn't leave me room for dessert.
Excellent beer selection, all crafted in house. Best during happy hour, weekdays 4-7pm, for $3 drafts. They also do flights for $1 a sample, so try 'em all. Mac and cheese is excellent; try all their variations, hit links one is my personal favorite. Have yet to have a less than stellar meal here. Staff varies depending on hours, some are very on top of everything, some are not. Weekends there is a $5 cover for sub par DJs and club environment.

One of the only places that is open later around here, I came here for lunch with a friend . The place was as packed as it could get. Full of business men, and sporting teams watching the game and hanging out. Reminds me of an old much less nicer version of BJ's. They had pizza specials but we opted for crispy chicken salad and he ordered the steak and potatoes. My salad was as basic as it gets. No flavor or anything except for the ranch dressing and egg in it. I needed a change from my daily grilled chicken so I got the crispy - but they only put 1 strip on it?? $10 for what looked like mostly iceberg and 1 chicken strip?? While it tasted decent, it wasn't worth the cost. He enjoyed his steak, but nothing noteworthy. Next time I'll opt for some pizza or more sports bar type food. Our waitress was ok. A smile would look great on her face .

This was my choice to come here. I liked the location in case we wanted to bar hop post meal. I went with my three usual foodie friends. They ordered an appetizer spinach artichoke dip and they all seemed to like it. I am not a fan, so I cannot comment on it. I am aware that this place is a brewery... but they didn't have a cocktail menu and don't make mojitos nor frozen drinks. FYI I REALLY was really craving a mojito...but was disappointed that they wouldn't make me one. I started off by ordering a long island iced tea and I had an orange flavored beer (I forget the name). My drinks were exceptional. I ordered the FRIED MAC N CHEESE. The portions were appropriate. I thought the flavor was okay... not the best but was edible. It was friend because it had a chicken strip cut up in it... so nothing special or fancy. I had one friend order a pepperoni pizza (she liked), the portions for the pizza were bigger than expected. Another friend ordered the buffalo mac n cheese and he liked it. The last friend ordered the fish tacos and said they were messy but OK. Overall I would return... I probably wouldn't order the fried mac n cheese again... but I could absolutely go back for some beers.

Love River City Brewery! It was a short distance from where I was staying and it was worthy of a 20 minute walk. Old town Market has plenty of attractions, but for me, RCB is the place to visit. Food is wonderful as well as their outstanding craft selections. Cheers!

Decent beer at the Airport, Actually really good beer + cheep too! $5 yup I said $5...Too bad you can't find places like this in more areas around the country.

This is a nice comfortable brewery with plenty of seating. I think they should have more servers but the current ones are pretty quick on their feet and get the job done. We had their buffalo chicken pizza which was flat crusted. It was brick oven made which is a plus because the pie crust had the charcoal toasted taste. I like how they drizzled buffalo spice with melted blue cheese on top. This pizza is well worth it! If you're craving beer and looking for a good brewery, this spot carries a great handful of local beers on tap. I had the IPA which is 7% content. It wasn't as strong but good enough to carry that bitter bite. This is an excellent pick!

I love brewpubs. But this place leaves much to be desired. The food was mediocre at best. They only brew 5 beers but when we went they were not serving the red. I tried the brown ale and the ipa. Neither were anything special. Maybe I have been spoiled by the other brewpubs in Kansas. I may have given this place more stars if the staff had shown any pride in their work. The floors were dirty with food and trash. The waitress seemed more interested in eating and gossiping with other servers than helping her customers. Until a bachelorette party showed up and wanted our table. She approached us and said impatiently "Are you ready for your check yet?" We agreed. She then turned to the party and said "don't worry, those people will be gone in a minute." I was in disbelief. I have never been treated so poorly. Evidently, if you want quality service at river city, you need to have a penis tiara and a bunch of gummy worms pinned to your shirt. If you want to try a quality brewpub, leave wichita and try one in topeka, lawrence, Manhattan, Kansas city, or even hays.

Wow, what phenomenal service. Our waitress never once complained about the checks, there was not a single error, and she divided the shared dishes too. It was so relaxing :) You must order a microbrew here, and in case you didn't know, on Sunday's when it's hard to get beer, they can sell it to go! The queso is to die for, and the food is usually really good. We had pizza today, and honestly it was just so-so, but it's the first time I have not absolutely loved what I've ordered. This is probably one of Wichita's best restaurants. It's like pub food extraordinaire.

Had a brief visit on the first Tuesday of August 09. The IPA was decent. The Kansan pizza was supposed to be special by including buffalo, which I didn't notice. The pizza was nothing special (about a step up from frozen).

I had one of the worst meals of my life here. I got the Almond Chicken Raspberry Salad. It was served on a very warm plate. The chicken was completely dry, and I wasn't able to eat it. The lettuce was wilted.

(5)Tim S.
Nice atmosphere, fast service, good local brew. One thing; a cowboy ribeye is supposed to be bone-in!
(3)Kristen Y.
(3)Byram S.
(2)Joel A.
(4)Brian R.
Better than average. large menu, friendly staff, unless you go in at 9:50 on a Sunday, lol. Wichita closes early so don't be surprised if there is no late night food in most restaurants, that is if you consider 10 pm late night. Lots of tv's for sports tho.
(4)Amy K.
OMG... best fish tacos! The service was wonderful and this place had a great atmosphere.
(5)Geary J.
Tis a nice place to grab a meal and a pint while visiting Wichita. The service is great, even during busy times. The food if served hot and fast, and the brews on tap are just what you'd want.
(4)Joe M.
Very customized pizza and brew experience. I have been coming for years and this place is great!
(5)Joe Y.
(3)Denny C.
(3)Cassie L.

(5)Amy D.
EXCELLENT mac and cheese! Got the buffalo chicken mac, and my boyfriend had fried chicken mac. Pretty darn good beers also. Service was so-so. Would go back for the Mac and cheese.
(4)Anne H.

(4)Dawn W.
(1)Trey H.
(4)Jc R.
I've been here a few times and have really enjoyed it. I've had the buffalo Mac and cheese, buffalo pizza, and buffalo chicken sandwich. Goes to say I really like their buffalo sauce, but they have other good items as well. Great beer and atmosphere as well
(5)Johnny M.
Wait time was ok (20 minutes on a Monday night). Food was sub-par for any brewery. Adobo Burger had hardly any sauce on it which made it basically a hamburger. Her Buffalo Chicken Salad was nothing special. Other ladies at the table had disappointing dishes (Cuban Sandwich, and grilled chicken entrée). Classic case of amazing menu descriptions that don't live up to the hype. Waitress was attentive and friendly, but find another restaurant.
(2)Brandon K.
Great beer. Great service. I work for Lagunitas brewery so I know a good beer when I taste one, and the cellar man IPA was delicious. It was the quest essential Midwestern IPA I was looking for. The staff was amazing and quick to serve without rushing. Cheers,
(5)Mark W.
Agree with our waitress comment when we asked her what entree she liked. "Beer is good". Very true, pizza and chicken dip was good, but this place is where you go for beer.
(3)Stephanie K.

(3)Sidney H.

(1)Jennifer K.
GREAT beer selection if you are into craft beers. Service was spot on also never had an empty drink. Great music playing!! Food was pretty good, nothing spectacular typical bar fair. Will be back for sure!
(5)Phillip B.
(2)Curtis Y.
Good sports bar kind of food. They do have very large portions so it is a good value. If you are I. The are worth a stop to give it a try. we will be back!
(3)Molly O.
(4)Alexis R.
(4)Cassandra B.
The wings were amazing! I would totally buy their sauce if they sold it! Didn't really feel like a "brewery" atmosphere. But I'd say money well spent
(4)Matt W.
Very good, solid, local brewpub! Ashley is a great bartender, which makes the experience all the better.
(4)Jana M.
(4)David Y.
Very good beer. Had a VERY nice Oktoberfest, beautiful color, aroma and taste.... it sure went well with the Cowboy Rib-eye steak.
(5)Sarah B.

(4)Angie J.

(2)Brianna E.
I returned and tried the Greek pizza, it is so much better than some of the other items I've had here. I'm actually glad I tried it, I really liked it. Once in a while they run half price pizzas, and when they do it's totally worth it.
(3)Travis R.
Best food and beer in Wichita by far. The chicken fried steak is my favorite. They always have a large selection of beers on tap. I compare every place I eat at to River City.
(5)Kelsey M.
(2)Kate B.
Great atmosphere. Salads and French fries were delicious. The Buffalo Chicken Sandwich is odd... Huge piece of battered fried chicken smothered in sauce. Better choice than Wichita Brewing Company for local brews.
(3)Bob P.
How long does it take to get a simple burger. The waitress apologized twice and im still waiting.
(2)Jessalynn S.
(4)Don J.

(3)Torin A.
Great location, and the best chicken tenders! When I am not in the mood for the chicken tenders I like to come here for cheap pizzas on Wednesdays. Beer is cheap on Wednesdays and they brew in house. Great downtown spot that you can sit on the balcony when the weather is nice.
(4)Turbine P.
Poor service. Terrible burgers. Good beer
(2)Thomas M.
Great food, ambiance, and scenery. I had the blue cheese burger and their craft beer...they made an octoberfest style beer very similar to a amber pils. It was quite tasty and well worth the trip. I plan on heading back again to enjoy their libations.
(4)Jocelyn R.
(4)Cody H.
(5)Jp P.
Poor service. Poor food. Poor restroom. Poor policy about bring 1 bottle of wine into resturant ... No allowed. Manager states that 2 people have asked in 14 years so they do not allow it.
(1)Keith M.
best chicken tenders in town. the fish and chips are pretty killer too. i've never been disappointed with thier menu. great beer as well, with seasonal beers rotated regularly. my favorite is the harvester wheat, but the rock island red is a close second.
(5)Veronica W.
(4)Brad S.
(4)Ruben G.
(1)Reed N.
(4)Steven A.
Had the Chicken Tenders and a Rock Island Red beer. It was delicious, I enjoyed everything. The waitress was very nice and accommodating!
(4)Tobi G.
(4)Robert L.
Had dinner here with friends this weekend. The menu was pub-type food, really well done. For those who like something a little higher end, they also have steaks. The brews are amazing, and Keely, our waitress made the entire night an amazing experience. Big kudos to Keely and staff!
(5)Tiffany P.
(4)Candice R.
The beer wasn't anything special, but it might be good to Kansas. The service was aloof and so were the patrons. I would skip this if I were to visit Wichita again.
(2)John D.
(4)Nancy K.
(4)Gloria G.
(1)Steve M.
(1)Curt L.
Stopped by after the Anchor. It was pizza night special...not bad and a good price. Enjoyed a glass of their local brew. Not bad. Really nice barback on the night I was there. Sean?? Young funny and accommodating kid.
(4)Ben B.
Good micro brew selection. Food is fair, nothing super fancy, but I admit I haven't tried it all yet.
(3)T M.
Good food. Service is hit and miss. Good prices for meals. Table selections is good except for during winter months (cold days) then there are four tables that flat out suck! There is a door of to the side (not main enterance) that when opened allows cold air in, in other it lacks a double door enterance.
(4)Shelley S.
(5)Jim H.
The pizzas are great (4-star) but the ribs were just OK. It was probably not helped by serving them warm - probably should;d have nuked them a little longer in the microwave. The service was acceptable - could have been better. Definitely with dropping in if you are in the mood for a tasty, thin crust pizza.
(3)Steve W.
I had dinner and sampled all the beers. I had the Cuban sandwich, really dry and no flavor, although I sampled all the beers, I didn't find any I rally liked. I will say I'm not a huge ipa fan and most of them were ipa's.
(3)Wade D.
River City Brewery is a great place to meet up with friends after work and grab a drink. Their house made beers are pretty great. Wednesday night has great specials on beers and pizzas, and is definitely the night to try it out if you have never been here before.
(4)Jessy C.

Great beer. Food is ok. Staff is nice. Check it out if your visiting Wichita.

Beer= pretty good. Our waitress=terrible. Hostess= GREAT Food= average Atmosphere= seems like any other trendy, downtown, tourist type trap.

Dont need to waste much space talking about this place. Average all around, food, drinks, atmosphere. Dont hate, dont love.
(3)Staci J.
One word, OVERPRICED.
(2)Dillon S.
Good food and friendly staff. Absolutely loved the Manhattan Pizza. Good place for hanging with friends or family!
(4)Ken D.
this place is overcrowed, the barternders are very rude. Went there for dinner and was told that they didn't care if I stayed to eat or not. Maybe they have to much business and can afford to lose customers. They permanently lost my business.
(1)Ben M.
(3)Jeremy R.
This is not the best brew pub in the world, but the service is good and some of the brews aren't half bad. I enjoyed the amber ale and the IPA. It was an okay place.
(3)Chuck C.
Good burger, pedestrian fries. Good beer, but the most disinterested bar service ever... EVER!!!!
(2)Jillian B.
Not good. I got the queso and a southwest chicken wrap. The queso was a weird stringy consistency. My chicken was crazy dry and overdone. Horrible. And to top it off, the service was ridiculously slow and out waitress didn't seem to notice we were there most of the time. Definitely won't be going back.
(1)Jesse W.
I'm sorry. Quality has gone WAY DOWN here. Pizzas are the only thing I'd still order here. Don't get the alfredo pasta...used to be a favorite, now it's the most boring bland thing ever. Maybe its new chefs or new management, but something has made this place go down the tubes food-wise.
(2)Mitch G.
Here for lunch -- the pizza was great! Good wait staff, and kid friendly. My wife's salad left something to be desired. Didn't get to have a beer :-)
(4)Russ M.
Nothing fancy here, just good beer and good food. I've been here about 3 or 4 times now and it has always been a good choice. The sirloins are enormous. They look more like ribeyes without the fat. The beer is top notch as well.
(3)Erin M.
(4)Rachel M.
I'll get the worst out of the way first.. the waiters/waitress' aren't that great. Other than that, the food is fantastic. The atmosphere is great. I'd rather pay the price here than Applebee's! I've had their Brewben several times, and loved it each time.
(4)Lisa Y.
Yummy local brews, great service. Awesome fried chicken salad!
(4)Alistair Y.
Great ambience and beer, to start with. No complaints about the service, either, and the spinach & artichoke dip was good, but I'm afraid the other food we had (burgers, fries, mayonnaise) was on the bland side. Not unacceptably so, but nothing special, either.
(4)Nicole C.
Never had a bad meal, even to go order has been great. Wonderful atmosphere and fantastic food! The service is also great and at Loft 150 above the restaurant.
(4)Mark W.
Quieter more affordable and more friendly than the pump house. Excellent reasonably priced food. Try the homemade pretzels, you will not regret it.
(5)Sara P.
I really wanted fish tacos but the tortillas are made with a corn/flour mix :(
(4)Kyle G.

Took over 10 minutes to see the waiter for the first time. The waiter lacked any excitement. I heard great things about the Chicken Fried Steak so I went for it. Soon there after the waiter comes back and informs me that they are out of mash potatoes. Great, who eats CFS without mash potatoes. OK fine, I'll take baby new potatoes. But i remind the waiter, I like lots of gravy. I get my food, no gravy on the potatoes. I ask for more, after about 8 minutes I get 2 soufflé cups of gravy and he informs me its 50 cents a cup. Ok let me get this straight, with mash potatoes it comes with gravy, but if you are out and I'm stuck with new potatoes you're going to charge me a buck for the same gravy that's free with the potatoes that I can't have?

(3)Tam K.
I had one of the worst meals of my life here. I got the Almond Chicken Raspberry Salad. It was served on a very warm plate. The chicken was completely dry, and I wasn't able to eat it. The lettuce was wilted.
