The service all done by the owner I suspect was amazing, like being in someone's home. The décor was beautiful and bright; food timely, Thai coffee was good. However I was disappointed in the food. It was not bad, but the egg rolls were pure cabbage and my Pad Ke Mao was not as good as I am accustomed. I wish them the best for the sweet owner, but I shant be back.

The restaurant is very clean and welcoming. The staff is very friendly. I ordered the pad thai here. The portion was very large. Ingredients were fresh. My only omplaint is that the dish wasn't very flavorful. I felt that there wasn't enough sauce/spices for the dish. The restaurant has a private parking lot outside and takes cash, visa, and masterard only.

Fresh, quality food. Delightful service with a smile. This is our favourite Thai restaurant in the Wichita area, and we've tried them all!

I have to say this is the best Thai food I have ever had! It is all home made. Try the wonton soup! The wontons look like meatballs! A lot of spices and flavors that aren't in the generic soups and dishes found at chains. The noodles aren't greasy and the chicken isn't coated and deep fried. They have their own salad dressing which is sweet but not too sweet and not heavy like ranch dressing. It saddens me to see the reviews about the service being slow or the music or the little church card on the table being so negatively impacting someone's meal. BTW, it's AMERICA ppl! It is literally a mom and pop's restraint. The husband waits, answers the phone, busses tables and works the register while his wife does all the cooking. If time is short I would recommend getting their menu and calling the order in to go. The lunch and dinner specials are a decent price and a good amount of food. I would of packed this place to move with me if I could of! My fav meal were the chicken chow mien and wonton soup!

I concur, 4 stars. On this Friday night the gentleman owner handled front of house duties while his wife managed the kitchen, and a crew of one. We dropped in at 8:00, which based on the reviews made me feel bad that this hard working couple is putting out solid dishes and no one's taking note. The place was desolute, nary a soul. So, my DW and I both ordered the Pad Thai and shared a fresh salad (i believe the menu stated it was a "spring" roll) roll, and were a little taken aback when the salad rolls arrived, yummy! They were warm and fresh. Good tasting peanut dipping sauce, too. Since we ordered the Pad Thai dinner special we received a smaller serving of Pad Thai, but also got the standard salad that seems to share the common asian restaurant dressing that is sweet and has a thin mayonnaise flavor and texture. Soon after we finished our salads the Pad Thai arrived and I have to say that the portion size was on the small size, but with the fried rice, a crab rangoon, and the aforementioned rolls and asian salad, we both felt totally satisfied. I will definitely be back and would like to try one of the curry dishes.

Never coming back.. I came with my cousins a few months ago to eat because I was craving Thai food. The food isn't bad but the it seems that this restaurant is ran by two people - a man and his wife. The atmosphere was very awkward and the couple seemed to be arguing over something which made us feel uncomfortable. The salad was a bit plain and the chicken pad thai was just okay. We didn't get any refills and the man was really rude to us. We would try to get his attention but he'd just ignore us. Next time I crave for Thai food, I'll just be going to Thai cafe.

I'm so torn about this restaurant. On one hand, I fully believe in the separation of church and plate. Promise Thai Cuisine obviously loves Jesus a lot. There are blatant displays of this love on the menus, the tables, the walls, etc. I do not need to read a bible verse while I chow down on pad thai, thankyouverymuch. Typically, I would never support a place like this. But.......the food is delicious. The Massaman Curry was one of the best I've ever had with the one complaint that the tofu wasn't fried like I prefer. I'm sure if I order again, I could request fried tofu in the curry. The Pad Thai was also delicious and contained the fried tofu that I love. The space is not what I would deem hole in the wall. The restaurant is located in a fairly new strip mall and I found it pleasant. It was very clean, cheery, and full of natural light due to the large windows. Service was fine but if it was any busier, i think there would need to be another server. I will probably return because yes, my stomach trumps my beliefs. I will put up with the offensive decor for my love of Thai. Sigh. Promise Thai Cuisine - you're making me hate myself.

Very quaint and simple Mom and Pop Thai joint. Food is great and decently priced. Beef Panang is my fav... Spicy level 3!

I had soup [coconut milk, chicken, lemongrass, mushroom, thai chile, green onion] and "Drunken Man's Noodles" with Chicken. Both were delicious at medium heat level. I will definitely eat here again. Note that this is an overtly Christian-owned establishment. If some crosses on there logos and lights, some spiritual literature, and biblical verses on table cards bother you, look elsewhere. Personally, I need God's help when consuming spicy food!

Yellow Currie Chicken. Best I have ever had. Only gave 4 stars for service. He needs some help.

Very authentic, lots of delicious vegetarian options (a real challenge in this town) , and extremely friendly service.

I love this place. Its always the same man who is serving. He's very nice. Although I've been there on very busy days and you'd think they would hire someone to help them but its just the same older man. He can fall behind sometimes but the food always makes up for it. I would NOT recommend the sweet rice and custard for dessert. Its certainly not what I was expecting which was semi-hard rice and green goopy stuff on top. Still the Ghang Phed is delicious.

Very good food. Went here twice while in Wichita, and the food was very good. The Drunk Man Noodles were great.

Spring Rolls..that's all i'm going to say. They have them for 3.50 on their menu and that makes me happy! Granted alot of people prefer a fried spring roll or whatnot, i love the fresh ones! The sauce it came with was different, more like a thick soy sauce with peanuts in it rather than the fish oil or peanut sauce I'm used to getting with my spring rolls. It doesn't change the fact it is a salad wrapped in paper :) Anyways, I worked late so I ordered take out, the spring rolls (obv) and the #9 dinner special which was chicken. It came in a standard grocery store container with the seperated parts; in it a heaping pile of white rice (had choice of fried rice also) and a small green salad with a delicious sweet almost honey mustard like dressing (on the side) and then the stir fried white chicken dish i got in the "big" dividor. A crab ragoon came on top - little and thin, perfect! That is the perfect amount that someone should eat for dinner (maybe too much rice) and it was only about $12 for everything. It's a cute little restaurant and I did not notice signs about religious overtaking you as you walked in, just a nice casual atmosphere. I was not offended and thought the man was very polite. I will go back.

This is such a special place to me! This is where I first discovered my love for thai food 2 years ago. The manager is great he really cares about the restaurant and the people who come in. The second time I even went he remembered what Ihe ordered the last time two weeks before! My favorites are the curry dishes!

This is a perfectly unremarkable Thai restaurant. Nothing that really stands out about it, but then again nothing really negative either. You probably won't have a bad experience but unlikely to remember it with much fondness. The modern industrial décor has a few hints of Thai culture adorning the walls, but otherwise it could be one of a million non-descript strip mall eateries. The small menu choices are comprised of typical Thai standards with a few Chinese dishes thrown in (such as won-ton soup) but otherwise nothing too inventive. On a Saturday night the place was much more empty than full, a sign of the times for many restaurants in this economy. The service was acceptable with what I presume to be the owner serving and a few people back in the kitchen. The food quality and flavors was good. They let you chose the spice level of between 1-5. I'm used to spicy Thai restaurants in the San Francisco area and I was with my kids so I went conservative at a 2, but that turned out to be way too mild for all of us. Next time I would go up a notch or two for sure. They don't serve any alcoholic drinks.

I like this place, more for convenience. My husband goes here a lot when I am out of town. They have very inexpensive dinner specials, but I don't recommend getting them since they replace a good helping of your entree with salad or fried rice. I would just get the full entree. The pad thai is very good, and the manager is very friendly.
(4)Carl J.
The food is always great. The service is quick, and the owner is extremely friendly and eager to help everyone. The place is always clean. It is a bit cool in the winter since the door opens directly to outside. Overall, Promise Thai is a great place for fast Thai food!

This place is the Bomb. Great food...incredible service...and clean restrooms. I'm here for training and living in a hotel room. I've eaten get 4 times out of 8 nights with leftovers twice. I think about going somewhere else but keep coming back. Stop by for sure if you enjoy Thai

I guess I missed something here based on the other reviews by you yelpers, but this was disappointing to me. I had the chicken and broccoli and the broccoli had wilted a long time ago, the dish was swimming in whatever liquid it was in and was really bland. I paid the extra for the fried rice side and it was a little better. The place is nice and clean and yes lot's of references to Jesus but that is not a bother, but please give me flavorful food.
(2)Tanna K.
This place is really awesome. Friendly staff, no MSG added to your food. Food is realllllly good! They are willing to make changes to your food with no additional charge. I always get great vibes and feelings when coming here to eat. Please check this place out!
(5)Brittany G.
I've had lunch and dinner here, the food was flavorful and the service was friendly and fast. The lunch specials are the perfect portion size. The pad Thai is very flavorful. The garlic chicken and chicken chop suey have good flavor and are a bit lighter with more veggies. Everything tastes very fresh.
(5)Jason C.
Good Thai food in Wichita. Prices are fair. I got the dinner combo for 9.00. Chicken Pad Thai, crab rangoon and rice. All was delicious. The owner was friendly so it was a good night for me.
(4)John S.
Solid classics with good portion size. Did not blow my socks off, but good food at a fair price.

This is my go to Thai take out. The food is delicious and fresh. They're always so friendly and nice. I love their drunk man noodles and spring rolls :)
(5)Brad S.
The service was cordial; the kaffir lime leaves and lemongrass in my Tom Yum were better than many, and the vegetable medley, though not really anything culturally educational, was still quite tasty. Choosing 4 on a scale of 1-5 for hotness was not quite as hot as I was expecting. I prefer my Christianity a little more subdued, like at Mead's Corner, but it's not like Promise was shoving it in my face, either, aside from some little placards on the table and a few things on the wall. I didn't feel uncomfortable. I did feel a little uncomfortable at the amount of time I had to wait for my check, as the man became inundated by the lunch rush. I'm sympathetic to the staffing needs of the independent business, but if there's as many regular customers as my visit led me to believe, business is doing well enough to afford some help.

Delicious Thai food at the same prices as Thai tradition, but better flavor. Then portions are a little smaller, but reasonable. I Highly recommend this place.
(4)Laura N.
For those that are upset that their faith is simply displayed around their business, I suggest you get over it and eat the food or don't return if the word "Jesus" upsets you so much. It's amazing how something like that can make people upset, but the same people could care less if they are at a restaurant with half naked people hanging up on the walls. Now, to their food. It has been absolutely excellent! The restaurant is always clean and the portions are good. We love their curry and they are always friendly and helpful to us. It is worth trying!
(5)Cassie T.
FANTASTIC SERVICE! We had the chicken satay, chicken pad Thai, chicken drunk man noodles (lowest spice level), and two Thai ice teas. All were delicious! We enjoyed the quiet, soft ambiance too. We will certainly be returning in the near future!
(5)Vincent D.
In town for business, saw the place, so I thought I would try it out since I am such a Thai food fanatic. Atmosphere and décor = good Menu listing = good Service = ok No cash register; everything done in paper = bad Food = ok to bad (My panang curry was too much liquid, not enough spice, and too small on meat) Price = expensive BOTTOMLINE = NOT A GOOD VALUE FOR YOUR DOLLAR! So, go someplace else.

Freshest ingredients used. Shrimp Tempura excellently prepared. Coating incredibly light and flaky. Shrimp fresh and tender. Not tough from being overcooked. Love the fact they throw in Tempura Broccoli as well. Cleanest restaurant you could hope for. Attentive and kind service by the owners. Love it.
