Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Really glad we came to Olive Garden! My party ordered 4 entrees and they all came out hot and in a totally reasonable amount of time! Our server was Alex and he was very cool, personable, and cordial! Out party was very happy and I'm glad we've found the Olive Garden location to come to in town. Also the salad and bread sticks were great!

I feel like Olive Garden is the Walmart of Italian Food. The food is adequate and consistent. Gotta love the endless salad and breadsticks. The lights are obnoxiously bright. But in the end, you get what you came for and it didn't cost an arm and a leg.

This Olive Garden location is consistently good whenever I dine here. My favorite dish is the Chicken Scampi. I can't ever get enough! My husband and I always have to get the calamari and mushrooms for appetizers, too. Recently, we tried something new.. the chicken wings. We were surprised at how good it was. It was something we wouldn't expect Olive Garden to have on the menu. It reminded of us Asian chicken wings. We hope they keep it on the menu.

On the lastTuesday afternoon in July, we had an enjoyable meal served by Andy. Our dishes (Fettuccine Alfredo & Seafood Fettuccine) were promptly served piping hot after the salad. The drinks were what we wanted & cold. The food was delicious & of course very filling. It was a good meal experience for an old conger his young wife of 55¡

I DO NOT understand the average reviews for this restaurant! My experience was exemplary. I was enthusiastically welcomed when I walked in. The server was prompt and consistent, looking after my every need. The food was excellent. The atmosphere was quality...even though I may not have Frank Sinatra/big band-type music at the top of my list (it quietly accented the setting well). Quiet conversation, even if it was spirited, fit well with the overall tone of the dining room. Highly recommended.

We were craving Olive Garden for lunch. So we came in to this location. BIG MISTAKE!!! Our waitress was Tina and she is not a good server! We got three breadsticks to start with and no others. We tried to get her attn was ignored. She brought out salad and it was dry. She went and told the manger I was unhappy. He came over and talked to us I explained to him what was going. He comped my soup which was like 5 bucks. She also forgot to bring soup to the table across from us. This person shouldn't be a server. She's also gone for long periods of time also. This was during the lunch time. We will never be back here again !!!

Horrible customer service. Just tried to call to make reservations for a team of 30 hockey players and was not helpful at all and basically told us we couldn't do anything for you. Guess we'll have to go spend 500 hour somewhere else in Wichita

This Olive Garden is much better than the one in Derby; we were seated immediately, our server came to our table moments after we were seated, our drinks came in a matter of moments, and she was willing to take our order when we ordered our drinks. We received our entrees in 10 minutes. Simply amazing, one of the more pleasant experiences we've had at an Olive Garden!

So I loove O.G mainly for the salad (which was amazing as usual), as were the breadsticks, but my lasagna was a tad but overdone and crunchy on one side, my alfredo was js a bland thick cream. No flavor at all. And my chicken parmigana was so crispy I could barely cut into it... it sucks because I was starving. At least our waiter was simewhat pleasant.

Olive Garden has always been a family favorite, especially during the never ending pasta bowl. Sure prices have inched up over the years but what place hasn't had to raise a price or two. To me it's worth it for the consistently great service my family gets. We'll keep going back for more. Love the breadsticks!

This is a great restaurant! Olive Garden is always my first choice for dining out with friends and family. Great prices, great atmosphere. Would recommend this location to anyone!

So...normally I'm always happy with olive garden, but this time I left disappointed. Salad was delicious as always. The baked risotto appetizer was amazing. But then our entries came out and they were cold. The breadsticks were also cold and hard. Very sad

I've been coming to this restaurant for several years. My family and I would always come during a birthday celebration or for family dinners. This place is absolutely wonderful. The service is good and the wait isn't too bad. I always love trying their new dishes. The shrimp and chicken carbonara is delicious and the only issue I had was the number of shrimp in the dish. There were only five.. The food is pretty pricey but I love eating here!

The food and server were wonderful! However, the hostess (Tanya or Tonya) was totally inept. We were a waste of her time. She was too busy doing whatever else to worry about customers. After waiting 10-15 minutes for a seat in a nearly empty restaurant, we finally got a seat. I told her that a third person was joining us and she still only left two menus and silverware. She also didn't inform our hostess that we were in her section........... When our friend arrived, she was not helpful in helping them find us. Our friend was told to go into the dining area, that's where we'd be! DUH! We will not come back to this location!

This place is disgusting. I've gone several times with family and each time this restaurant is filthy. If you look at the decorations thougout the restaurant they are all covered in a thick layer of dust and grime. The air vents are caked with dust and where the air vents point against the walls is black. If this is what their restaurant looks like in the dining area and can't even imagine how disgusting the kitchen is. I wont be going to this location again!

so so food. only thing thats good is the appetizer (calamari, toasted ravioli and stuffed mushrooms), salad and bread. They dont do anything for birthdays anymore (no singing or free dessert). Just went on Jan 28, 2012. :0(

Handled our party of 18 extremely well and efficiently. Service was excellent and because we called ahead by an hour we only had to wait about 20 minutes for our tables. Tons of people were waiting even when we left. Food was exceptional and delivered quickly, while still hot.

Im not a big pasta fan, but somehow the Olive Garden works its way around it and convinces me to eat it. My favorite dish is the Chicken with Broccoli and its simply the best dish out there. The restaurant may seem pricy, but worth it....Good for dates and special occasions. The only problem I have with their restaurant is the music....yes its italian, but I dont think it should be that boring.

I'm not a big chain person, but the food here is really pretty good. I was disappointed that there were no options for smaller portions, though. I mean geez, can't a girl watch her figure and not order a plate bigger than my head! Our server was awesome and for the birthday peeps in our party he brought out this little plate with three andes mints covered in whipped cream with a candle. It was cute but also a little chintzy at the same time. We didn't feel at all rushed even though the place was busy. Overall good food, but pricey considering that it's just pasta, and a chain at that.

This is you average Olive Garden; however, the wait is usually long on the weekend evenings. We enjoy sitting at the bar for a couple of drinks to relax before a nice dinner. Service is friendly, but sometimes the timing can be bad. We have had on occasions the entres come out too quickly. Do not hesitate to talk to your waiter/waitress or ask for the manager if that occurs. You probably know the rest if you have been to an OG before...nice atmosphere and reasonably priced.
