Excellent service! Food is super delicious. Ricotta stuffed ravioli both made in house, so fresh and tasty. Be warned extremely pricey dinner but great quality so you get what you pay for.

I want to give Newport a better review but just can't seem to get one meal without an issue. The food is good, but the service is just not up to par.

My husband and I dined here twice for dinner/happy hour in the last month. The oysters here are pretty delicious. It's even better during Happy Hour ($1 each). We also used the Happy Hour to try out several of the small plates/appetizers. We had the shrimp ceviche (refreshing but just OK), tuna tartare (good flavor), beef tartare (our favorite!), calamari (good but not memorable), and of course oysters (yum!). To get the happy hour prices, you have to sit in the bar area. We ordered entrees on one of our trips there. I had the scallops which were really good, but I didn't care for the rest of the stuff it came with. So I guess it was a little pricey for the scallops since I didn't eat whatever else it came with. My husband had the Filet Oscar and it was worth every penny. Every bite was perfect. I also came for brunch recently with my girlfriends. The brunch buffet has a nice selection of dishes to choose from. I really enjoyed all the different salads that were offered.

I was looking for a nice place to eat after a long day at work so I decided to treat myself out here. It was pretty late so I wasn't sure they'd still be open but their hours posted said that open until 11pm. I came in around 9:30pm and it was pretty much dead. Besides myself sitting at the bar there was only one table left at the restaurant. The restaurant is located in a very nice plaza and an up and coming area in Wichita. Just not sure there's enough people that got out in Wichita at this hour and on the weekday. I had Creekstone Vegas Strip Steak. It was on the bland side. However the Pomme Frittes were crispy and quite tasty. They had a decent selection of wine so I tried one of the Pinot Noir. Overall it was pretty much uneventful since no one was in the restaurant. It was too bad too because it was a nice restaurant. The bartender was very nice. It's definitely not a place you would come to sit at the bar to watch TV because their TVs are pretty small.

Excellent lunch at Newport Grill last Friday (May 15) with friends and my husband. We sat outside with a gorgeous view on a sunny day. Our server was so attentive, giving us good descriptions & recommendations. We really enjoyed visiting with him! We each got different things so we could try a selection. From the crab/avocado salad to the fish tacos-we all enjoyed the food, view, conversation & great customer service!

Came here while in town for a golf tournament. Was very surprised at the quality of the food for a smaller town like Wichita. I had he pork chop with string beans and whipped potatoes. The pork was cooked perfectly and had a very nice Apple reduction. The potatoes were fluffy and not bland. Pre-meal I had the arugula salad and was delighted by the lightness of the vinaigrette mixed with the cranberries. The ambiance was nice with a touch of playful in the music and lighting. Reminds me of a very nice country club. This is a must try if you are in the area.

The staff is very friendly and the food was delicious. I wish I could give a 4.5. The only reason I would take off 1/2 a star is because I think the price is a little steep even when you take into account the quality. Overall I would go back for a special occasion.

Back for the 22nd Anniversary - this place never lets us down. Classy servers and water/bread/buss staff. What a class act for Wichita! Nice to see you all packed - AGAIN - tonight! Rockin' on Rock Road! Highly recommend Yelpers - plan to be spoiled! PS: The patio is well maintained and comfortable.

Great service and the server that served us was very knowledgeable. But my steak came over cooked, twice. Entree wasn't anything special and the live performance were playing some very depressing music.

grossly overpriced food. tiny portions. bland flavors. lobster was overcooked. clam chowder too salty. you can get much better food and service for this price at any other normal city (LA,Chicago,NY,Dallas,KC,SF) The bus boy did provide amazing service (seemed like he was assigned to only our table). He was like one of the ball boys in tennis matches. Our drinks never dropped below 50% Waitress was also great and helpful.
Great service and I'm a picky eater! I special ordered my lobster roll with no celery. I asked for crispy fries. And aoli sauce on the side. It all can out just as requested! I also was appreciative of the attentive service by our server. Beautiful interior design. Only downside is the bar can get loud and it seemed like the people's voices echoed throughout the restaurant. Possibly just loud patrons? Overall a great experience.

Great service, great food. Try the tartar, rock shrimp cigars, and seared tuna with Brussels sprout and quinoa. Also, great drinks from in-house mixologists!

It wasnt horrific but the pricing was pretentious, as was the flavor. I had a mahi i think, but it was splattered with sauces in a weak attempt to be what must be fantasized as an upscale dining experience, like this must be what high end restaurants serve. It just ends up being dressed up but unconvincing.. Oh yeah there was a potato dish that was basically hash browns but drowned in stuff. I find wichita has this envy problem often, eateries fixate on trying to be something else without just being the best they can be. Most of the patrons dressed pretty much the same way, trying to look classy but werent really lol. It all works out I guess. Just be yourself.

My wife and I had our second go round with this restaurant. Our first trip was a disaster about 8 months ago. Although each mistake was promptly corrected by management (overcooked steak, raw centers on polenta fries, and raspberry on a dessert we asked for none on) the amount paid seemed to suggest these mistakes should be limited to once in a blue moon! Well I forgot about our previous experience and it wasn't until we were enjoying our dessert that we started to remember the previous fiasco! Our night went off without a hitch- prices are steep but we definitely got our moneys worth on this trip. The Ahi Tuna Tartare was superb: this is one play on the classic I enjoy so much more than the original!

I love the lunch/dinner menu here however, came on Father's Day & realized brunch buffet only. We had already sat down & ordered drinks before realizing no off the menu ordering :/ We should of left! The buffet was disgusting - scrabbled eggs dry - hash browns were the only thing that were actually tasty! Fruit slices tasted perfumy! Biscuits & gravy with no flavor- pork & most entrees bland with no flavor! What a waste of $24 a person :( I was so disappointed- I love this place at lunch & dinner - but would have to say stay away from the buffet! I should of complained but sometimes you can't :(

Don't eat at Newport Grill unless you like being ripped off. Here's the review I left them: Tonight ended up being really upsetting. My husband and I went to Newport to celebrate my birthday this evening. We came in with a coupon for a free filet that they sent me. My husband also ordered a filet. I ordered a filet and lobster tail. A filet costs $37. A filet and lobster tail costs $50. When we got our ticket, the discount of $37 was on there. (Fantastic! Thank you for the coupon!) But the original charge for the two filets was $119. (If you're following along it should have been a charge for $87.) When we asked or server Alicia about the incorrect charge, she brought a pen and paper to the table and proceeded to tell us that a filet is $37, so we were charged that twice and that there was a $45 up charge to add a lobster tail. When I questioned her about this, she condescendingly told me that it was such a hefty charge because it was a large tail. "Yeah", she said, "It's like a 10oz. tail.". That was incredibly insulting. I questioned her again and she just brazenly lied to my face. I sincerely doubt she thought that an added lobster tail to a filet meal was $45. She unfortunately refused to rectify the situation. So, I was forced to do what was within my control to ensure that I wasn't stolen from. I figured out the amount of the overcharge and deducted it from her 20% tip. The overcharge ended up actually being a couple of dollars more than a twenty percent tip, but I would have left more than 20% had she made the issue right. I wonder if she isn't able to fix the charge in the computer herself and pocket the extra twenty-plus dollars after the fact. If so, hope Newport doesn't mind Alicia taking that money at the cost of a loyal customer. I've (now regrettably) brought several new customers into Newport as well. In light of the service my husband and I received tonight, we will never be returning. I'm going to post this on my personal Facebook as well so all of my friends and family can be protected from being preyed upon as well. What an awful feeling! You guys should be ashamed of yourselves.

If there was a ten star rating, I would give them fifteen! Best meal experience I have had in YEARS! Staff was incredible. Food was incredible - scallops, steak, salads - everything was perfect. Coffee infused everclear, earl gray infused vodka - INSANE!!! Dessert - chocolate beignet and / or bread pudding OFF THE HOOK!! All I can say is WOW!!!!

A seafood restaurant in the middle of the country? I was skeptical, to say the least, when Newport Grill was designated the business dinner spot for the night. The old adage of never assuming rings true here, because Newport Grill was fantastic! The fish was fresh and seasoned to perfection, and the sides were nice complements to the meal. My dining companions enjoyed cocktails that were made table-side. Service was perfect. If business ever brings me to Wichita again, you know where to find me.

For the prices, I really expected to like Newport Grill a whole lot more. Appetizers were small and my caesar salad unimpressive. For dinner I opted for the Chicken Alfredo and it was a very good dish, though, again, on the small side. I was hungry a few hours later, which is fairly rare for me. Perhaps I would have been more impressed with a seafood or steak entree as others in my group were. Service and atmosphere was good. To me, this was on the whole above average food for too much money.

Great place to go if you're ever looking for a good quality meal in Wichita or travelling for work. To be fair, this doesn't hold a candle to restaurants in a major city but this ain't too shabby either. Newport Grill prides itself on flying in fresh seafood every day. That dedication speaks volumes to the quality and care the restaurant brings to its customers. Our service was great, even though he did oversell most items (think used car salesman), he was a funny guy, just doing his thing and he made our experience a very pleasant one. Let's get to the important part. Food Food and more Food! The great thing about Newport Grill is if you're looking to be healthy, there are plenty options but if you're looking to be a glutton and stuff yourself with a juicy steak and more, you can do that too. I have done both and I will say, I was very happy. We started with the rock shrimp cigars, beef rumaki (bacon wrapped tenderloin, sweet & sour date puree), and fried calamari. The rock shrimp cigars are the most popular appetizer, while unique, didn't blow me away. They are miniature size taquito's, wasn't bad but nothing I would crave. The beef rumaki was pretty cool, the date puree was something I liked (maybe not for everyone) but can't go wrong with bacon wrapped anything. The calamari was decent, not the best I've had, and also a little small on the portions, hate when people mess with classic fried calamari dishes. The soup of the day was lobster bisque - woooooooo, very rich - so good. 14oz Strip Steak was excellent! The smoked "tater tots" were amazing, something you definitely will not be disappointed with as a side to your steak. I've also had the chance to Black and Blue Steak, the bleu cheese encrusted fliet mignot. It was really just a filet mignon with a massive lump of bleu cheese on top. Way too rich for me I had to wipe it all of, but after that my filet was awesome. Great place in Wichita, def a must-visit if you're looking for a nice meal.

We were seated 40 minutes after our scheduled reservation! Then they sat us in a section where air was blowing really cold. Food arrived and it was salty. Bill arrived and there was a mixup. Giving it 1 star because i am forced to, otherwise this place will get a zero

Love this restaurant. The first time we went, we ate on the patio with live music. We returned for our anniversary and the food and service were excellent. I highly recommend Newport Grill for special occasions.

The food was good but way too expensive for the portion size. When I pay $60 per person I expect to walk away stuffed and with leftovers. I sat at the bar like I tend to when traveling and was disappointed by the lack of attention and conversation from the two bartenders, one of who was fighting a nasty cold and probably should not have been serving food. The dessert was pitifully small for $8 and not a good way to end a mediocre dinner.
(2)
Devon D.
The atmosphere is normally what you pay for at a place such at this one, and you certainly get the atmosphere, the menu is costly, which is expected, but the food is quite delicious, even the water is elegant. The seafood is the specialty of course, but the turf is just as good as the restaurant's surf. Still an expensive place for either the rich as a daily meal, a meal for 2 easily comes to a hundred dollars, or a fantastic place if you are on a fancy date on a special occasion.

We were in town for a week and wanted a great place to eat. We read the yelp reviews and selected this place. We were seated right away and the service was really good. We had a couple of martinis and the wife ordered oysters. I had a crab cake that was the worst I have ever had. The chef should be ashamed. The oysters were good. We shared a wedge salad that was ok but not great. I had a Ribeye with cold potatoes and hard asparagus with a lobster tail that was ugly and over cooked. That poor lobster deserved better. The wife had tuna that was not fresh and not very good. It had no flavor. Again the service was the best part of the meal. We gave the place a good tryout but after spending $225 for the 2 of us I just can not recommend this place for good food. For a drink on the patio yes dinner no.

Listen up - fish flown in fresh daily from the coast or the ocean or wherever fresh fish comes from does exist in Wichita. So for all you high-on-your-snobbish-East Coast/West Coast-we-do-it-better horses, you'd better dismount and quickly before the Newport Grill buck launches straight across that riding arena into a pile of moldy grain. Yes the rock shrimp cigars are painstakingly unique and super delicious...even if mango sauce isn't your thing. But that tuna tartare appetizer is something to be wow-ed at and ooh-ed at and awe-d at louder than fans at a KSU football game. The compressed chunks of tuna ooze with an umami flavor complimented (oddly) by the creamy cheese below deck. The delicately crisp fried wontons don't let off a hint of grease and the sesame puffs offer a nice neutral mobile for the fish. Decorated with speckles of caviar, wasabi, sauce, and chutney, the layout of the plate is as beautiful as it tastes. Talk about an afternoon delight...

Anytime it's my choice where we eat, Newport is it. They have wonderful, elegant service. The food is consistent with their fish flown in fresh 6 days a week. Their steaks are delicious. Brunch is very good. In the time they've been open, we have eaten here so many times and it's all about service, the food and more service. I highly recommend Newport Grill for any and all fine dining in Wichita. :)

The best seafood in Wichita, flown in fresh daily. Based on other recommendations, I had to try the rock shrimp cigars. They definitely lived up to the hype! Plus I had the soup/salad combo with the soup of the day (lobster bisque) and the Tuscan Kale Salad. Both were great but I have to say the salad was fabulous. It's not very often that I eat the full salad, but this one was definitely worth it! The place is somewhat fancy but we went for a late lunch/early dinner on a Friday so it was fairly quiet at that time. This would be a great place to eat with the girls after a day of shopping or for a nice intimate romantic dinner as well.

I hadn't wined and dined my girlfriend in a while and there's few options in Wichita for romance. I found that Newport Grill had live jazz on the patio. Yes fine dining and cocktails while enjoying live jazz, perfect! We started off with calamari and these little bacon wrapped filet mignons for appetizers, amazing! The calamari wasn't tubes from the legs but strips from the body and not rubbery like most restraunts. It was so tender! The filet's were amazing! I had Hawaiin Tuna for my entree which was cooked rare, seared and crusted. My knife went through it like butter. It was laying on a bed of roasted brusselsprout leaves, cranberries and macadamians. Yummmy!!! I was so impressed. My lady had alfredo fettucinni. She let me taste it and it was amazing! For fine dining, our cocktails were only $5 and the jazz band was amazing! We loved every minute of it! I will definetely be back. That night I was ordering high dollar but I noticed they have several menu items $7-9 like gumbo. Their seafood is same day flown in to 48 hours. I could taste the freshness. Finally a good seafood place! I could go on and on about that place. Customer service is just as impressive. loved it!

Excellent food, great ambiance, good service. A little difficult to find for out of staters, but, worth the effort!! I had the swordfishes. It wasn't a very big piece , but, very, very tasty!! My coworker had the scallops and really liked them as well. You can't go wrong here!! Take note of the $$$.....this ain't Mickey D's!!

We just happened to be in Wichita and were looking for a romantic dinner. Newport Grill was perfect! The service was great, as was the band that played. We ordered the oysters, mussels, and king crab. All were delicious, but the mussels were my favorite. And, the ginger cucumber mojitos are my new favorite drink. Yum!

WOW, just wow! Wanted to take my mom somewhere a little more special for her birthday. I was tired of Ya Ya's, and now I will never go back. Not because Ya Ya's is bad... no It is because Newport was so great! Stunning building, great view of the river. Appetizers stunning..... main course stunning and the best service I have ever had. Worth the price! Try it! Real chefs, real food, really great

Took a group of five. Made reservations. Specifically asked for a spot with less noise. The reservations were for early in the evening, and not surprisingly, when we arrived, most of the tables were open. Unfortunately, the table that they gave us was next to the bar and the door to the kitchen. It became noisy. My fault for not asking to move. Also, while not having any bearing on my rating, I arrived with a sport coat, as the listing on Yelp said the dress code was dressy. I was probably the only guy wearing a sport coat. While I wouldn't wear shorts or probably not even jeans, one could go 'business casual' / polo and trousers. I'm sure that the hot weather had something to do with this. Patio is huge! Live music. We were indoors (too hot, anyway), but good for future reference. Food was tasty. Salmon was a table favorite. As was the Ahi Tuna. I had swordfish. It was good. Servings are not huge. I recommend a 'small plate' or a soup or salad. The apple soup was actually pretty good. Service staff is keen to be attentive. A little bit aggressive, and quick. But, not obnoxiously, so. Sadly, the noise thing was a big downer.

I thought I was going to love this place by what I'd read, but it came up short in a few areas. First off, the rock shrimp cigars didn't do it for me. The taste of the shrimp were taking a back seat to the flavor of the fried wonton wrapper and the citrus in the sauce it came with. Didn't think it warranted $13 either based on the tiny portion. The clam chowder was much more of a clam bisque. It was pretty good, but not what I was expecting. For my entree I opted for the locally raised duck breast. It was half a duck breast rather than the whole thing, which is a first for me. It was delicious, perfectly cooked, and went well with their pomegranate sauce. One of the sides was crispy kale, which tasted like fried kale, vegetal and earthy, but plain. The other side was "Roman gnocchi" which is polenta formed into a log, then sliced and fried on both sides, a la cornmeal mush. I was expecting and would've preferred normal gnocchi. Adrian, the bartender, served me, and she was on the ball, and cute as a button, so no points off there. If the sides matched the protein in terms of flavor you would've been a solid 4 stars.

This is my first review, but I couldn't not write a review on how great this place was. Went to Newport for the first time for the wife and I anniversary. To start the waiter I believe Miko could be wrong on that sorry. He was great, very knowledgeable of the menu and drinks. I described a type of wine I would like and he was spot on. My wife ordered a cocktail and did not care for it all. The waiter made it a priority to get something she liked. They did not charge us for the drink she did not like. For starter we had rock shrimp cigar they were amazing. I ordered the days special Barracuda. It was very fresh and good. The wife had Hawian mon chong hers was perfect as well. All the food and sides were fresh and not frozen. Fish is flown in 6 days a week, nothing is frozen or older than 48 hours. Deseret the bannan nut bread pudding is a must. The staff took great care of us. Even with it busy with prom kids.

We made a reservation online and they actually had our table ready for us! It was a birthday dinner and we were comp'd a dessert. Also, we sampled 4 wines. For all of this Newport Grill gets 5 stars. However, I'm not all that taken by the food. The shrimp cigares were tasty. I was disappointed, although prepared for, the side dish choices since i had seen the menu online. Spag squash can be tricky; if it isn't cooked enough it can still be scooped out like spaghetti but not soft enough. I stuck with the potatoes and green beans. I didn't want grilled lobster. It tends to get over cooked and I think mine was. Hard to tell since the portion was much smaller than anticipated. Much better than the small rock lobsters Red Lobster serves grilled. But still a little chewy on the exposed edges. The birthday boy enjoyed his filet which was cooked to his specification. And, the banana nut bread pudding with ice cream and a candle was quite good. I will try the restaurant again.
Rarely when I eat out does the service exceed my expectations to the degree we encountered on our evening at Newport Grill. By the way, the food was excellent as well! Everyone in our party tried something different and all enjoyed. Make this one a must do.

We had reservation at 8:00 pm - birthday party of 16 . We were seated at 9:30. The best part was the bread and butter-- ask for it! The oysters were not as fresh as I expected. We ordered the lamb it was -- ok. And the Salmon avocado salad and it was-- ok . Maybe the wait was the downfall. But I'm going to give it another try. I really enjoy the ambiance.

Visited Newport a couple of times - once for happy hour and twice for dinner. Every time was beyond our expectations. The happy hour on the patio during nice weather is tops. You can't beat a better place. Dinner is pricey, but worth it. They pour massive amounts of wine as well!

Pretty fantastic restaurant. My favorite in Wichita. The Hawaiian Ahi Tuna entree is the best. The short rib stroganoff is super tasty. Some of the fresh fish options are a little bland IMO, but they are very well-prepared, perfectly cooked and always extremely fresh. I had some of the best service I've ever had there. Case is amazing (the most recent server I had there). He was very busy with bigger tables but my boyfriend and I never felt neglected. It felt like we were his only table - and we asked him a TON of questions about the menu and wine selection. He never seemed rushed or anxious. The desserts are awesome, too! I love the bread pudding and the chocolate filled beignets. The ambiance is incredible. The decorator(s) did an excellent job. The bar is beautiful and fully stocked and the patio is great. I highly recommend the patio if you can go on a nice day.

Elise was our server this evening and was a very engaging, professional, enjoyable server. She knew her wine, her menu, and all the ingredients in the menu items extremely well. The food was well above average and done perfectly, temperature wise. We will definitely be back! You should definitely request to have Elise as your server!

We were so fortunate to find this restaurant as the food and service were superb. Ask to sit on the patio. The music was great and the view of water and ducks fantastic. Jared our waiter made the best recommendations from the oysters to tiramisu. Ambiance, food, service; the trifecta of dining. We will be sure to visit again on our to town; worth driving two hours for.

Ditch Red Lobster. This is hands down the freshest seafood on Wichita. It's a bit pricey, but worth it for special occasions. I've had the salmon and ceviche. Delicious. I recommend giving it a try if you like seafood.

Customer service was average, but some of the entrees were not as good (especially for the high price). Avoid the scallops and mahi mahi. Rainbow trout and fettucini were pretty good. Overall, would not be coming back anytime soon
What a phenomenal dining experience. Wait staff very personable and extremely helpful (ask for Case...he knows all the answers and he'll take good care of you). Of course its a high priced place...but down to every detail its worthy. Martinis: smoothest most flavorful I've had. Fish: freshest available in the area...and you can taste it! The artistry behind the delicious entrees is stunning. Fine dining to the max. Everything created in-house down to each pasta noodle. Fantastic! Oh, and the Rock Shrimp Cigars were unique and delicious. Definitely a treat!

Pure garbage.. The ribeye tasted akin to battery acid and the mashed "potatoes" were slightly less flavorful than styrofoam. I had a half teaspoon of clam chowder in a bowl the size of a trash can that I would describe as simply bland. My wife's meal was also lack luster as her pork chop was some how 123.7% fat. Yes folks.. all this can be yours for around $120. Bon appetite!

Excellent filet, cooked just right with just the right amount of peppercorn and blue cheese. The house made drinks were excellent. Their version of the Bloody Mary was quite small but one of the best I have had.

Let me start off by saying a 3-star rating is a solid review; and that I try very hard not to inflate my ratings. I went to Newport Grill for brunch on Sunday and I left satisfied and happy. Our server, Don, was very prompt, polite, and attentive, but not intrusive. The bartender, Alicia, makes the best Bloody Mary's in town (full disclosure: I am a friend of her's so I am biased, but they are seriously good). The spread: waffles and omelets made fresh to your specifications, fruit slices, mashed potatoes, salmon, bagels, muffins, bacon, biscuits and thick white gravy, seafood paella, and various desserts. For $21 a person it was a great spread. I would recommend the brunch and I would go back. Most of the 5 star reviews seem to be for dinner, which I have not tried. So keep that in mind as well.

We visited for Sunday brunch. Wow, it was an unexpected treat. We sat outside on the veranda overlooking the little lake. The buffet included a nice variety of meats and fish dishes including a wonderful paella. The house Bloody Mary was made with tomato infused vodka made in house. Service was fantastic. Will definitely be returning again.

Been here several times. Overall a decent place with a nice atmosphere and good service, but the food is more fancy than it is tasty. A patio table overlooking the water on a nice day is a pleasurable experience we're sure to do again, but Bonefish Grill will provide a better meal.

Upon entering the premises, one is treated like royalty. This is just foreshadowing for the crown jewels - the clever, beautifully presented and, most importantly, delicious meals offered by the Newport Grill. A gentlemen named Case waited on our party of four, attending to every detail. Each of us ordered different dishes and each of us us agreed that we had chosen wisely. I've dined in many restaurants and this one deserves national status.

This is the best restaurant in Wichita, hands down. Its obvious when you go on a Wednesday night and it's packed. We love the bread with whipped butter sprinkled with salt--delicious. It just gets better from there though; I recommend the ahi appetizer (it comes with a cool assortment of sides/condiments), my boyfriend likes the beef appetizer wrapped in bacon. The ginger soup is amazing. We both had fillets and this is not a restaurant that overcooks their meat; if you say rare it's bloody. We've always had great service. Try the bread pudding for dessert.

I was in Wichita from Seattle on business and decided to check out Newport Grill as a result of the average 5 star review on Yelp. It did not disappoint. The restaurant has a nice modern and undistracting environment. The staff was very courteous. Our waiter went over the whole menu with us taking time to explain the sections. They have a great cocktail list, I chose the Rocking Cherry martini. It was tasty but if I ever go back I'd try the blueberry infused lemondrop. So basically it is a seafood restaurant. To let you know how fresh the fish is, our waiter informed us that anything you order was still alive less than 48 hours ago (I think he said it in a way that a little more easier to digest - no pun intended). :) I had the chef's selection entree of the mahi mahi. Great dish that had a citrus reduction that included what seemed to be a chili oil so it had a slight kick, which was ok by me. I was too stuffed for dessert but if I had not been, the waiter mentioned a banana bread pudding or something. I would definitely return if I come back to Wichita on business.

Great place for fresh seafood in Wichita. For that reason, they do charge a bit of a premium price, but it's worth it. The bartenders make nice stout drinks and are extremely friendly. The restaurant seems a bit on the mid-to-upscale side, so probably not best to show up in your Sunday best cut-offs, t-shirt and flip-flops.

Newport is a great place to get the freshest seafood in Wichita. However, it comes at a steep price. The cod I ordered was cooked perfectly, but there are only 5 side dishes available to pair with it. Portions are small and not a good value for your money. However, this was by far the best service I have encountered at any sit-down restaurant I have ever visited. Our server (Jeff) answered every question that we had and was able to make recommendations on all but one of our questions. He was thorough in the rundown of the menu and even recommended a couple of great drink ideas. TLDR: EXTREMELY pricey, but a great place to take someone special, especially if they like seafood. The best service I've had in Wichita. 3.5/5

Newport Grill never ceases to amaze me. Since it opened I have been skeptical...a seafood restaurant? In Wichita? How fresh and good can it be? The answer is amazing, and I keep going back! Weather permitting it is great to dine outside where you can watch kids feeding the ducks at the pond, Blue Herons soar through the air, White Cranes prowl the shores, and the waterfall from the island sets a calming tone to your cocktails and meal. The lounge outside by the fountain is a great place to grab a drink while waiting for your table or to simply unwind on one of their large outdoor couches. The cigar shrimp are a favorite (like fried shrimp dumplings) but I'd prefer to save room for the fresh ceviche and oysters on the half shell. Any of the fish options are to die for and if you prefer you can build your own simple dish which is great for the healthy conscience types. They have land options as well and even a Fettuccine Alfredo for those Mid-westerners too afraid of food without hooves. The wine list has great options without being overpowering and some fun creations from the bar as well. I recommend the creme brulee for desert as it is rare to have it prepared correctly...and Newport nails it dead on; light and fluffy with a perfectly crusted top - not a torched pudding gut bomb. Having lived in NYC, LA, and San Francisco for over a decade and being an avid seafood lover I can tell you that Newport is not great seafood by Wichita standards, it is great by seafood standards. This is clearly one of the top 5 restaurants in Wichita and because it so perfectly prepares its water-born dishes it sits in a category by itself. I hands down give this place 5 stars. After several trips to Wichita I'm finding out that this town truly has some fine restaurants. And Newport Grill surely is at the top of the list. Being from Seattle, I have a legitimate understanding that I am blessed with having some of the best seafood from a multitude of the best seafood restaurants anywhere like Ray's Boathouse or Anthony's Homeport. But here I am a thousand miles from saltwater enjoying delicious fresh halibut seared to perfection. This place has great ambiance and wonderful attentive servers. The restuarant is open, well lit, and welcoming. The food is outstanding.

Very good food and ambiance. My second dinner was better than the first one a couple of months ago. Had diver scallops and the baby arugula salad. Best part--i left my credit card behind by accident. Didn't realize it until the next morning. I called and spoke to the general manager and asked him when i could stop by to pick it up. He told me that he was about to run out to the airport to pick up some fresh fish and that he'd stop by my office to drop it off. It showed up 15 minutes later with a nice note and and a coupon to use on my next visit. Thanks SO much for thr fantastic personal service! I'll be back!

Honestly this place deserves six stars. The service and menu are exactly what you would expect from a high end big city resturant, but in wichita? Wow! The waiter mentioned an item that was not on the menu, a duck confit, which was absolutely delightful. Foodies will be right at home here.

Awesome food a must try if in Wichita! Atmosphere was great and probably even better during the summer with the large patio open. Oysters, wedge salad, Hawaiian Ahi Tuna and bittersweet chocolate beignets were all excellent.

In the land of bland, soulless chain restaurants the Newport Grill stands out as a beacon of flavor. The food is presented beautifully and cooked to perfection...amazing seafood in particular, and the service is impeccable.

I'm from Los Angeles and visit Wichita regularly on business, so I'm always on the lookout for good dining options in this city. This is the best I've found so far. Sophisticated decor; attentive, professional service without being overbearing; and fresh, delicious cuisine, perfectly prepared. I was inclined not to trust the freshness of the seafood so far inland, but I was informed by the manager that they fly their fish in fresh six days a week - and yet they manage to keep their prices reasonable, if not exactly cheap. That falls under the category of "you get what you pay for." Next time, I'll be indulging more in the seafood offerings than I did on this visit. I started with the lump crabcake, segued to the arugula salad, ordered the filet mignon for the main course, and finished with the flourless chocolate cake. All were first-rate, but I was especially impressed with the steak. I've been to some of the best steakhouses in the country, and I don't think I've ever had a more delicious filet, perfectly prepared to my order. I will be making a point of visiting Newport Grill whenever I'm in town, and I recommend it heartily.

If I could give this place six stars I would!! We went here for my husband's birthday and it was a fantastic experience. The only negative is that it is rather loud in there but I'm not sure that can be helped due to the open layout . They have a nice selection of beer and wine and extremely good cocktails. I got the black and blue martini, then another, not because I was looking to get lit up but because it was just that good. They infuse their own vodkas with flavor, the black & blue is a premium vodka infused with olives. How cool is that? Want to have an orgasm in your mouth? Order their Ahi Tuna plate, it is ridiculously good, a normal portion size and is served with quinoa. I don't know any other Wichita restaurant that has this superfood on the menu. Everything will be expensive and you will get small portions, be prepared for that. That is how it should be though, normal portions of high-quality, healthy, delicious food. I also ordered El Fin Du Monde beer with my meal, which is a triple-fermented import and my new favorite beer. Definitely order dessert as well because those are spectacular. No stone was left unturned to make sure everything was delicious at Newport.

I love Newport! One of the few places in town that actually accepts reservations and sticks to them. We went all out, drinks, apps, salads, entrees, desserts, coffee. My wife and I wanted to try everything. Everything was fantastic, warm marinated olives for app, the interesting salads, my filet was spectacular and my wife loved her Ahi Tuna. Even though we were stuffed by then, she had a red velvet cupcake and I had some break pudding. If anyone wants to know what service SHOULD be like, come here. Top notch service. It is on the pricey side, but not too extreme. A little more than Bonefish or Scotch, but it is an experience you need to try. The interior is really cool and I look forward to trying the patio before it gets too cold!

And we thought our first visit last spring was a memorable dining experience, but no, our second visit, 26Dec2011, was even more remarkable. The innovative chef(s) in the scratch kitchen prepare fresh food that is dazzling with layers of subtle flavors and complimentary textures. True oenophiles must swoon at the comprehensive wine list. The service is a balanced ballet of attentive one-on-one care and impressive team work to serve and clear tables. Soft even lighting, muted earth tones, lovely views of the lake at Bradley fair combine to assure a casually elegant ambiance. The price could be a tad daunting for tighter budgets, but the blend of the scrumptious food, the impeccable service and relaxing atmosphere makes it an undeniable value. Newport Grill has officially risen to our favorite restaurant in Wichita.

Great Food Great Service Great Decor Poor Acoustics I have been there twice now feasting upon "The Chicken and Egg" entree both times. I couldn't help it, the texture and flavor is topnotch. I know, you can't expect a seafood restaurant to be the best at serving fowl too, but they handle this section of the food pyramid impressively. The "Ahi Tuna Poke" was average. I am not a big fan of dicing up an already small appetizer and making me use what tasted like stale chips to scoop it up. The "Rock Shrimp Cigars" were good, I will have to try them again to make a firm statement on this one. At least they weren't fried. The wine selection is pretty good for Wichita, but that doesn't say much. Plan on buying a bottle here because there isn't much available by the glass. I wasn't completely crazy about any of the wines I tasted or the wines I actually chose, but I wasn't disappointed either! My friends brought up the acoustics several times and I had remembered that the time before with a 1 on 1 it was pretty loud too. This isn't the place to get cuddly romantic or have a ton of privacy, but its great for a double date or group of friends.

Staying at the nearby HGI for business. Short walk around the lake. Bar seating was available at 6 pm midweek. Tried the Bistro Steak (MR). Although it's the most inexpensive cut offered, it was one of the best steaks I have had in years. The squash and greens that accompanied were also excellent. Food service was timed appropriately. Bar service was attentive without being overbearing. Was one of those perfect meals on the road. Going back tomorrow night for oysters and ahi, which both looked great and were commented on positively by fellow bar patrons.

Newport Grill is pretty delicious. I'm sitting here now on the patio enjoying a light breeze while gazing at the ducks swimming in the pond and a waterfall behind me. So ambience is quite peaceful :). I've just finished a fantastic Halibut w Brussel sprouts, arugula and some fancy sauce I don't dare try to spell. Wonderful glass of sauvignon blanc and some sparkling water. Simply delightful. Excellent service & attentive staff. Prices do match the quality of this experience so be prepared for an investment in a luxurious evening.

For so long Bonefish was really the only seafood option in Wichita.....which is okay, but nothing rockstarish. Newport Grill was outstanding! Great little wine list.....diverse enough to be different, while still including some standard offerings. The staff seemed to be very knowledgable about wine and pairings, which is uncommon in this area. We had the rock shrimp cigars and the beef rumaki appys--delicious! For dinner my husband had the braised shortribs which were absolutely perfect. Enough said.....wow...I will be getting those next time. I had the chef's special--arctic char with sweet potato gnnochi. It was cooked perfectly. It is so hard to find good fish in Wichita that is prepared well. Newport Grill did an outstanding job, and I will be back.

Newport Grill has provided me with some of the best dining experiences I've had in town in recent memory. I've thoroughly enjoyed everything I've tasted on their menu and there's plenty more that I look forward to trying. One of my most recent visits was when Newport hosted a beer dinner with Tallgrass Brewing Company. I've been to MANY beer/wine dinners and too many of those missed the mark on many points, but not this one. The pairings were spot on and the dishes divine. Additionally, I didn't have to grab a second meal afterwards due to miniscule portions. The beer dinner at Newport actually equated to dinner not just a mere snack as so many others' have. I left a very happy girl. On another memorable visit, my husband and I shared nearly every appetizer on the menu along with some wine. Our server was very attentive, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic. I felt welcome, appreciated, and cared for. I can't wait to get back and try the Ahi Tuna with Brussels sprouts and quinoa. Also, be sure to try a martini made with Newport's in-house infused vodkas. Fun, tasty, not to be missed.

It was not my first time there. But this time I made reservations and we got a table by the window. It was lovely. The service great, the ambiance wonderful. The food....well they try, my fish was fresh but overcooked and the potatoes undercooked. My husbands fish was also ivercooked and the accompanying risotto was sticky. Also do not order an espresso after dinner as the hostess has to run to Starbucks at the book store and it will arrive late and cold. To wrap it up, the setting and service is great all else not so much.

Excellent food and a great spot in Wichita. I can't wait to go back. It's a pricey meal but great if your on a work trip and want to treat the team. For a landlocked state- its good seafood.

We went on the 3rd night they were open and we were pleasantly surprised with everything. Our server (Brandon) was extremely knowledgable about everything on the menu. I hope they maintain what they have started as Wichita really needs another top-notch restaurant.

Ok... So when the kid at the front desk of the hotel I'm staying in pulls out the map of a local mall to recommend a "fine dining establishment", I think ... Food Court. Granted, I did look over other Yelp reviews, but couldn't help thinking this restaurant was in a mall. Plus, being from Miami, why would I eat at seafood place in Kansas. Surprise, surprise, they have pretty good seafood in Wichita. I started with the Beef Rumaki (bacon-wrapped tenderloin), which was good, although the bacon was a little tough. My main course of the Hawaiian Ahi (I ordered it rare) made up for the over-cooked bacon. The crispy brussels sprouts, quinoa and tart cherries were a great accompaniment. My waitress Jennifer recommended a good pairing for my glass of wine. She also recommended their bread pudding, which was great. The service was also very good, with at least two to three people attending to me throughout my dinner.

Just not what I expected. The prices were really high and the food, although descent, just wasn't worth the $$$. We had an appetizer, soup, main course, and dessert the bill 140. Red Rock, which is in the same parking lot, we could've done the same for 70-80. Save your money and try bone fish, carabbas, harvest kitchen, or red rock all much better and all much cheaper. Trust me you can listen to the yuppies or listen to someone who truly knows food! You don't have to spend huge dollars to get huge flavor!

My boyfriend and I went here on "date-night" and it was absolutely phenomenal. The service was extraordinary. We didn't have 5 different people tending to our table. Our server was with us the entire meal. The only other person we saw at our table was the man who poured our water for us. We were welcomed immediately (and it was cold, so they checked our coats) by the hostess and escorted to our table. We didn't have a long wait as it was a weeknight and a slightly early dinner time (we got there before 6pm). I had the fresh salmon with ricotta stuffed ravioli and a balsamic glaze. I was so impressed with the presentation and the flavors were absolutely magnificent. My boyfriend had the same meal and we both finished it (and wanted to lick the bowls clean). We both had drinks. I can't recall what their names were, but one of mine had apple in it and his both had whiskey. All of them sounded great, though. I would say that for the cost, it was DEFINITELY worth it for the service, atmosphere and the amazing food. I was happy to see that they support sustainable fishing and agriculture practices and buy local when possible. I was extremely impressed with Newport Grill. And if you're willing to splurge a little for date night, THIS is the place to go!

Great setting but the service distracted from making this an excellent night out for our anniversary. Service = C+ Service was weak from the beginning -- waiter asked if this was our first visit and because it was he briefly covered the menu. He seemed nervous and flustered -- he could not answer questions about the menu and did not offer to get the answers. (For example, there was a drink listed on the website but not on the in-restaurant menu & the waiter said he'd never heard of it...didn't offer to ask the bar about it.) Our appetizer arrived before we even had been served water or plates provided -- this was at least 15 minutes after we were seated. After taking our drink order, waiter returned to say they were out of the strawberry tequila in the drink I'd ordered. BTW, that ingredient was in at least 4 of the listed cocktails & it was 6:30 on a Saturday night! Ordered a Cherry Rock Out martini instead & it was delicious. Food =B+ I will give credit that the food came out quickly, hot and presentation was excellent. All four of us liked the entrees we selected but they didn't wow us into wanting to visit again soon. The ladies were fine with portion sizes (scallops for one entree, salmon over ravioli for one entree) but the guys felt their portions were on the small side (surf/turf for one entree, fettuccine alfredo with shrimp for one entree). The menu is fun and lots of unique options, especially for seafood in Wichita. Calamari appetizer was very good - more steak-like and more appetizing to look at than some other restaurant versions. We also had two desserts -- great presentation but as for taste, good but not great. Cost -- we spent $100 before tip for an appetizer, two drinks, two entrees and one dessert. The other couple spent about the same amount. Atmosphere = A Loved the dining room ambiance and the view at Bradley Fair. It was a very unhurried dining experience. They take reservations and we were seated promptly when we arrived. ~~~~ Overall, a nice option in a great atmosphere for Wichita. They are trying to offer an upscale experience but not quite executing the total package.

We went to Newport Grill last night for the first time to celebrate our anniversary. When hubby made the reservations on the phone he told them this, and they set us up in a booth they decorated extra nice for us with white linens. Every person who came to our table wished us a happy anniversary. Loved the personal attention we received from our waiter Don, he was the best! Hubby enjoyed a couple of niced Duvel beers, which isn't a beer stocked in most Wichta restaurants. I tried their "Blue Sky Lemon Drop", a martini made of blueberry infused vodka and lemon simple syrup. Yum! We had the Rock Shrimp Cigars for a starter, and it was delicious. Hubby enjoyed a Ceaser salad as well, and I chowed down on the delicious ciabatta bread and whipped butter with smoked sea salt. So good! For a main course he had a Main lobster and LOVED it! I also enjoyed my Diver Scallops very much. Everything was fresh and delicious. They said they flew seafood in 6 days a week. Can you believe that actually happens at a restaurant in Wichita? For dessert we tried the chocolate truffle lava cake which was great. They comped our dessert as an anniversary present. Sweet! It was a little pricey, but I know we'll definitely be coming back for more special dinners here. It was AWESOME!

Butternut squash bisque, pan-seared corvina (not something you see every day) and trout amandine were all utterly fantastic. So was the dark chocolate filled beignet. Bread pudding was good but not great. The room is very nice, the service was excellent except for the lag in getting dessert to the table, and the view of the lake is beautiful. Go, go go.

(5)Janet E.

(5)Will C.
Great service and the server that served us was very knowledgeable. But my steak came over cooked, twice. Entree wasn't anything special and the live performance were playing some very depressing music.
(3)Joshua P.
grossly overpriced food. tiny portions. bland flavors. lobster was overcooked. clam chowder too salty. you can get much better food and service for this price at any other normal city (LA,Chicago,NY,Dallas,KC,SF) The bus boy did provide amazing service (seemed like he was assigned to only our table). He was like one of the ball boys in tennis matches. Our drinks never dropped below 50% Waitress was also great and helpful.
(2)Losh A.
Loved the scallops with zucchini and squash and whipped potatoes!!! Cooked perfectly , our waiter was awesome! Had creme brûlée for dessert!! We were seated by the window, has awesome view!
(5)Lisa S.
(5)Logan G.
Great service, great food. Try the tartar, rock shrimp cigars, and seared tuna with Brussels sprout and quinoa. Also, great drinks from in-house mixologists!
(5)miguel l.
(2)Leah L.
Beautiful setting especially in spring/summer months. Very comfortable patio over looking water. The food is always delicious! They also have an amazing brunch on Sunday.
(5)Jacob H.
(4)Therese H.
I should of complained but sometimes you can't :(
(1)Francie B.
Excellent food! Excellent service! The view was nice and they gave out a free appetizer to first time guests. The sword fish was the best fish I have ever had.

(5)Huckleberry F.

(1)Davis O.
I had the calamari, oysters, and filet mingon. Oh man. This place is so good. Expensive but a good date place.
(5)Jan W.
Love this restaurant. The first time we went, we ate on the patio with live music. We returned for our anniversary and the food and service were excellent. I highly recommend Newport Grill for special occasions.
(5)Jeff C.
(2)Devon D.

(5)Jill B.

Customer service is just as impressive. loved it!
(5)Bob P.
(5)Aliza M.
Their salmon was fresh and cooked perfectly! Filet mignon was great. Oysters were really fresh and we had a great expedience there.
(4)Monica P.
Yum!
(5)Mitch G.
I've been here for dinner zone couple of times now and anything I or members of the party have had has been fantastic. House Bloody Mary is tops, oysters have been fresh, and the fish has been cooked perfectly.
(5)Katherine D.

On a cold Kansas night started with a New England Clam Chowder.. Very good. Entree, Scallops large and tender. Recommend these anytime!
(4)Drew S.
Amazing food. Great wine selection. Good service. Pricey but worth it if you find the right food and wine. Mixed drinks are good too.

(3)Mark C.
Excellent food, the calamari and oysters were good appetizers. Cynthia was the best waitress I have ever had in my lifetime. Great service!!
(5)Catherine Z.
Delicious! We were celebrating and decided to try Newport. We will be back the next time we have a huge milestone to celebrate!
(5)Kyle B.
(5)Vic S.

I made reservations here on Yelp and they actually had it right. I brought my boyfriend here for his birthday dinner and they were able to seat us right on time. As first timers, we didn't know what to expect. It is a very classy and upscale restaurant that's for sure, but you don't necessarily have to dress up in a bow and tie. Only if you want to of course. My boyfriend wore blue jeans, dress shoes, a button up and a vest while I wore blue jeans and a classy blouse. Thinking I would be too underdressed or he was too overdressed, everything worked out well as we saw people with casual dressy clothing. For starters, we ordered a couple drinks. I ordered the White Zifandel while my boyfriend ordered his usual Jameson and coke. As an appetizer we agreed to try the Beef Rumaki which is beef wrapped in bacon with a sauce. There were about 5 pieces on the plate and believe it or not it was quite filling for an appetizer and very delicious. Along with that I had a Caesar salad which was the right size and he had soup with some bread and butter. On to the entrées. My boyfriend ordered the U.S.D.A prime 14oz steak while I ordered the Seafood Risotto. The steak usually comes with broccoli, but since he hates it, he asked to replace it with green beans and our server had no problem with changing that. Both dishes were prepared very nicely. His steak was cooked PERFECT and my dish was absolutely amazing. It's a dish that I will definitely order again. Overall, I would definitely come back to eat again. The staff knows their menu, very classy and nice and it may be very pricey, but it is definitely worth it!
(5)Jerry B.
Rarely when I eat out does the service exceed my expectations to the degree we encountered on our evening at Newport Grill. By the way, the food was excellent as well! Everyone in our party tried something different and all enjoyed. Make this one a must do.
(5)Trinh N.
(3)Nicole L.
Visited Newport a couple of times - once for happy hour and twice for dinner. Every time was beyond our expectations. The happy hour on the patio during nice weather is tops. You can't beat a better place. Dinner is pricey, but worth it. They pour massive amounts of wine as well!
(5)Kristen S.
(5)Chadwick B.
Elise was our server this evening and was a very engaging, professional, enjoyable server. She knew her wine, her menu, and all the ingredients in the menu items extremely well. The food was well above average and done perfectly, temperature wise. We will definitely be back! You should definitely request to have Elise as your server!
(5)Francine R.
(5)K R.
Ditch Red Lobster. This is hands down the freshest seafood on Wichita. It's a bit pricey, but worth it for special occasions. I've had the salmon and ceviche. Delicious. I recommend giving it a try if you like seafood.
(4)Alisa N.
Customer service was average, but some of the entrees were not as good (especially for the high price). Avoid the scallops and mahi mahi. Rainbow trout and fettucini were pretty good. Overall, would not be coming back anytime soon

Eating at Newport Grill was so good, you'd have a hard time believing this menu was a product of Wichita. That's because it's not. The restaurant was developed by PB&J restaurants, a company based out of Kansas City Their colelction of varying restaurant "concepts" (oh, how I hate that word) are largely based in the same area. At a quick glance, most of their places have received generally positive reviews, but their most popular restaurant - Yia Yia's is the one to which they have farmed out to other parts of the country, including - obviously - Wichita. I guess the quality of the food was enough to keep them going for the past 15 years, but the restaurant received a shot in the arm from executive chef Aaron Whitcomb, a CIA Denver graduate who was receiving notable praise for his work in the DEN restaurant scene but was swayed to taking over the executive chef position for the restaurant at the behest and increased paycheck of Yia Yia's General Manager, who was a longtime friend. I can only imagine why PB&J's decided to open Newport Grill - perhaps it was the realization that there are few to none local restaurants really doing justice to the fish - but I'm glad they did, and I'm further glad they once again tapped Whitcomb to be in charge of the kitchen, because the resulting meal was one of the finest and best-executed I've had in Wichita. The meal began with a seafood consummé, a soup that makes sense considering all the garbage parts of fish and crustaceans they have in the back. The broth wasn't overtly fishy, though, containing a delicate flavor and good mouthfeel. It was served from a saucière into my bowl which contained a very tiny dicing of mirepoix and a small crab fritter. The vegetables provided a bit of texture to the dish (the tiny dice resulted in them being cooked through ever so slightly by the hot broth) and I thought the fried fritter would become unpleasantly soggy submerged in the liquid, but I was proven wrong. The main course was a Scottish salmon filet with a black pepper and balsamic reduction, toasted pine nuts, basil oil, and radicchio. The fish was excellently cooked, the bottom only receiving a searing in the balsamic so as to not overwhelm the fish, the black pepper and sea salt providing a strong seasoning point. The basil oil worked to offset the balsamic sauce, but it was also there to work with perhaps the strongest accompaniment a dish could have - the ricotta ravioli, which is made in-house with their freshly-made pasta dough and equally freshly-made ricotta. The fish was the star of the show, certainly, but those ravioli could easily be spun off into their own series. Simply put, the food was outstanding, from the thoughtfulness of presentation, to the dedication of making everything in-house, to the actual flavor combinations themselves. After thinking hard, the only complaints I could fathom were that one of the fillings of my ravioli was a little loose, and the price, which might be a sticking point for some people. Personally, I would hope the prices would be a little higher, because it costs money to ship fresh fish from all around the world, and I can attribute the rest to the high degree of culinary skill Newport has on display. I don't care if Aaron Whicomb is a chef in another city calling the shots, nor do I care if PB&J's starts opening Newport Grills across the country - as long as the food remains up to snuff, it's amongst the best Wichita has to offer.
(5)Jesse W.
(5)Jake G.
(1)John E.
Excellent filet, cooked just right with just the right amount of peppercorn and blue cheese. The house made drinks were excellent. Their version of the Bloody Mary was quite small but one of the best I have had.
(5)Michael S.
(3)Ken S.
(5)Steven C.
Been here several times. Overall a decent place with a nice atmosphere and good service, but the food is more fancy than it is tasty. A patio table overlooking the water on a nice day is a pleasurable experience we're sure to do again, but Bonefish Grill will provide a better meal.
(3)Jeep F.
(5)John M.
Good ambiance, nice menu choices, tasty meal selections, chefs who know how to cook seafood, low noise levels, and attentive staff. All adds up to a good choice for a good, quality experience.
(4)Shannon S.
(5)Jonathan B.
(5)Randy M.
(4)Blake C.
(3)Ryan G.
Food 5 Stars Decor 5 Stars Service 5 Stars Value 5 Stars
(5)Neil G.
(4)Joel R.
(5)Nik N.
Honestly this place deserves six stars. The service and menu are exactly what you would expect from a high end big city resturant, but in wichita? Wow! The waiter mentioned an item that was not on the menu, a duck confit, which was absolutely delightful. Foodies will be right at home here.
(5)Bob C.
Awesome food a must try if in Wichita! Atmosphere was great and probably even better during the summer with the large patio open. Oysters, wedge salad, Hawaiian Ahi Tuna and bittersweet chocolate beignets were all excellent.
(5)Murpheezzz X.
In the land of bland, soulless chain restaurants the Newport Grill stands out as a beacon of flavor. The food is presented beautifully and cooked to perfection...amazing seafood in particular, and the service is impeccable.
(5)Joseph G.

All I am going to say is: "The Sunday brunch is the best brunch I have ever had in my entire life."

A great addition to Wichita! If you are seeking a fantastic seafood in the Wichita area, you can't miss here. The wait staff is well trained and will raise the expectations for any attempts at competing.

Ceviche and scallops are great, the wife had the trout and loved it. We drank great wine and sat on the patio, weather permitting it is a great place to enjoy great food! Loved it!

Food and atmosphere were terrific. You have to try the rock shrimp cigars.

Go, go go.
