One of the best pizza places in Wichita! The cheeseburger pizza is amazing and tastes like an actual cheeseburger on a pizza crust. Sounds weird but definitely worth a try! We are hooked on it! Also tried the meat pizza on a pan crust and it's delicious as well. Salad was fresh too!

Very, very sad. Knolla's pizza used to be a favorite. The customer service at the Central and Rock location has become so atrocious that I will no longer order from them. If you need pizza delivery at lunchtime you will not be able to get it, even if you call ahead 3 hours. When you call back you will be responded to with a horrible attitude. The Knollas name is no longer good. DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS BUSINESS. There are companies that actually want to grow their businesses and cultivate positive customer relations.

I really like this pizza. The sauce isn't too sweet and the bottom of the crust has these tasty little crunchies. The meatballs are good, too. Friendly service. They will admit when they make a mistake and do their best to correct the problem.

The pizza was great. Walking into the restaurant it was a little unclear what we should do... take a seat, wait to be seated, or go to the counter to order. There were no signs directing us. Also, no menu board was easily visible. However, the counter person was very helpful and patient and answered my questions. She also was willing to give us a free piece of cake to celebrate a birthday of someone in our party. On the whole our experience was very good.

Good pizza and a cool vibe in the place. I have never been disappointed with the pizza, but the salads and sandwiches are not good. The deserts look good and if I had any room left I would have given one a shot. The Mexican Pizza has divided the family, so you will have to brave that pie on your own.

Took a friend from out of town here. We ordered, sat down, and waited forever and a day for our food to come out. Mind you, we only ordered our own slices of pizza...I was thinking it would be premade and just reheated or something, but it seemed like they made a whole slice from scratch. I think it took about 30 minutes for 2 slices. no joke. A slice was around $5. I tried their buffalo chicken pizza and my friend had a slice of chicken alfredo pizza. Both were pretty good and the crust was crunchy just how i like it. Mine also had a little bit of cheese crust (the cripsy cheese that melted off the side). mmmm Any way, with that long of a wait, I would def order ahead of time.

I eat here about every two weeks. I generally order the same thing, an Italian sub well done extra dressing no tomatoes . About 60% of the time my order is wrong. They even read it back to me when I order. I will take it back up and they act like I made the mistake. I really like that sandwich and have been eating it for many years. It is getting to the point now where it is not worth it. The service is awful and it is obvious nobody cares.

I have a friend from New Jersey whose preferred pizza in Wichita is Knolla's. Though I'm still trying to wrap my head around it, I figured with forty months since my last visit and every other pizza tasted in town, it was time to give Knolla's a second go-around. The good news: maybe it was the jalapenos or pepperoni on my pie, but everything wasn't as bland as I remember it. The sauce still could have used a lot more seasoning, and the crust was still pretty plain, though I don't mind the cornmeal crispies or whatever consists of those stalactites hang from the underside of the crust. The bad news: there's other pizzerias, bars, and restaurants in the ICT that make a much better pie. Knolla's is strictly middle-of-the-road, which is probably why it's still so popular. The weird news: the Coney Island pizza is less of a travesty than the description would lead you to believe. I guess if you were to dump all of those ingredients into a hot dog bun it would be pretty similar. Isn't much worse than the worst pie combination you could put together at Pacific Coast, I bet. It's the same generic type of pizza that most average pizzerias create. To call it New York-style is a lie in every sense of the word, unless you're talking about the Coney Island, in which case it's just deceptive.

Generally has been our favorite pizza. But last night was very bad in several ways. Horrible slow service. They were more focused on carry out orders than minding the customers in the restaurant. Pop machine was out of carbonation, took forever to get fixed. Never was really right. Ran out of lids for drinks and paper towel rolls on the table .Pizzas took 48 minutes to be served. To their credit, the pizzas were correctly made and hot when they finally arrived. As we came in the place someone going out said, "you're in for an hour wait.". He was spot on. Very disappointed in the place. Was supposed to be a family get together with loved ones we had not seen in several years. For bragging that this is the best pizza in town, it was very embarrassing to say the least. One star for service and 2.5 for pizzas.

Yes, the pizza is good, but timeliness and service is not. Ordered a pizza to go, was told 20 minutes, didn't even leave the house for 20 minutes...waited in a long line to pay....only to find they hadn't even STARTED my pizza. Further, there were tables and tables of annoyed customers waiting for orders and service. Sometimes there is something to be said for 'corporate pizza.'

I'll admit it: I am not a New York style pizza type of person. If I'm really, truly honest with myself, I'm totally not okay with a crust so thin that it would make crepes envious...nor am I good with the soggy mess that inevitably ensues after picking up a slice and watching in slow motion horror as mozzarella and sauce glides off of its edible background and onto whatever nice, white skirt I happen to be wearing. So I'll also admit that I really love Knolla's pizza, not just because it isn't the New York style it claims to be, but mainly because the crust is just so golly-jeepers-gosh darn delicious. In a city where pizza-by-the-slice is mostly unheard of, Knollas offers a slice of cheese heaven...and even better than those pretentious East Coast joints with their rows of slices with various hipster toppings lined up, Knollas freshly bakes each triangle of overly cheesy greasy goodness. So the sauce isn't perfect...nor is it extremely flavorful. But the crispy underside of the crust laden with pimples of gritty cornmeal offers a solid foundation for the gooey fluffy dough that lies beneath a layer (or six) of traditional toppings. And all of this rambling without a real description of what makes this crust so amazing...so here's a sentence that'll have to suffice: it's a slightly sweet crust, infused with a vague sourdough kneaded essence.

I actually wanted to give this place a bad review. I placed an order online and showed up 20 mins later and was told it was still going to be 30 more mins. They actually got the pizza out in 40 mins total which made it a little better. Still wasn't happy but when I sat down to eat this pizza, I was pleasantly surprised it was very good. I had the NY pepperoni pizza and really enjoyed it. My only advice is for them, you need to update your online order system. When your online system sends out a confirmation email it should give the customer an estimated time before that the pizza will be complete.

On a quest to check out all of the local pizza hubs in Wichita, we decided to come here. I guess I was a bit confused on the system setup there. Walking in you're suppose to look at the menu that is mounted on the wall, decide what you want, and then walk up to the register to order. After that you seat yourself. I guess I thought it was a traditional setup of going out to a restaurant. So now you know what to do. We had ordered a large NY style crust on a Supreme. 3 drinks and it came out to $20-25 dollars. Not bad. The place is kind of small crawling with people and their family. The wait was a bit long for the pizza to be made and served. They didn't give us any utensils to eat with. I think we waited about 25-30 minutes. The pizza came out and it was fairly large with many slices. Between the 3 of us, I think we had about 3-4 slices each. They are very liberal with their toppings. Almost too much. I wasn't a fan that they put the cheese on the bottom and not the top. Because once you start biting into it, toppings fall off left and right. But as far as what it tastes like, it's very good. The best part was the NY style crust. It was the right amount of chewy and crunchy taste you want out of it. Some places are either too doughy or too crispy. This place nails it down perfectly. The toppings are fresh. My opinion may change as I will try out a couple different pies they offer.

Here's one of those "best places in town" as touted by local media. I guess when you live in the town that Pizza Hut started, it doesn't take too much of an effort for people to think you have a "good" pizza. I had been itching to get here, because I had heard about the "coney island pizza," thinking, wow, two of my favorite things, coney island hot dogs, and pizza, combined! This will be GREAT! I ordered two small pies to go, the coney island, and the all meat, because I was hungry for pizza, and got the meat one as a back-up in case I didn't like the coney pie. The coney is topped with hot dogs, hot dog chili sauce, diced dill pickles and onion, and a swirl of yellow mustard. Conceptually? Interesting. Reality? YUCK! I tried one bite. Ewww. Tried rolling the slice, and pretending the crust was a hot dog bun. Ewwww. Offered the remaining pie to two homeless guys, they passed. So I opened the meat box, and one couldn't complain about the quantity of toppings. One could complain about the quality, however. Nothing disturbs me more than picking up a slice, and having the entire top, cheese and toppings, slide off the crust into the box. OK, there's one thing that disturbs me equally, as much, picking up a slice, and having all the toppings roll off into the box. Such was the case here. The sausage was akin to "Sysco Meat Crumbles #2 or some such. Lifeless, tasteless, and looking suspiciously, all by their lonesome in the box, like something a furry big eared animal might leave behind. I'll post a video later. For now, these pics, the coney and the meat pie. I always try to find the good in a place, and I thought a hand-tossed crust might be Knolla's redemption, but even that fell flat. Lifeless was a word I used above, and I'd say it again about the crust. It just didn't have any pizazz at all. A floury taste. Maybe they didn't proof it. The location I was at, pure carry-out, except one table in front, for two. They were very busy. Somebody obviously likes these pies; just not me. They have four or more locations. You can avoid all of them of your own volition.

GREAT pizza. Definitely a local favorite. Very consistently tasty, well made and a great place to dine. The location on west 13th has a very big city feel. I love to eat inside both locations. Both are very different. Haven't checked out the west Central location yet. Really, just wonderful pizza.

I heard about this place from a coworker who raved about their large slices. The place is hidden in a plaza on a one way street so it's easy to miss. The decor is nice, bright, spacious, and even has a small video game room which in my opinion is a huge bonus. Not that I wanted to play the video games but just the thought that the owners made space for the entire family to have fun told me they had at least the concept of going out to eat pizza nailed. I ordered a slice of the works and about 10 min later it arrived at my booth piping hot. It indeed was a huge slice! It looked to weigh about three pounds with all the toppings stacked high. There was no way to pick it up without losing half of the toppings so a fork is definitely required. I was expecting the crust to be soggy on the tip but the fork met with a satisfying crunch when I cut the first bite. Even using a fork not losing some of the toppings is a challenge. They definitely pack on the fixings. The sauce was flavorful, the cheese was there but not dripping off the plate, the crust was amazing. The perfect balance of crunchy without being cracker-like. It had the perfect flavor, not too sweet or too bland. Next time I'm trying the bread sticks because the crust was that good. Overall a terrific slice and I'm excited to try other toppings. The only criticism would be - and I am almost ashamed to say this is that maybe there was slightly too much meat? Would have been perfectly happy with about 1/3 less meat and it would have been easier to eat. Highly recommend.

It was my first time eating Knolla's last night. I LOVED it!! Will definately be going back. We got the pan crust, and it was unlike any I've had before..in a good way. Thank you Knolla's!!

This wasn't the worst pizza I've ever had, but I've had Domino's on a good day that was, sadly, better. I give it 1 star for the reality that is Knolla's versus the legend of Knolla's that has somehow risen up in this pizza ghost town. The real life pizza couldn't be further apart from the mythical "NY style" pizza of lore. This is NOT NY style pizza. Well...I'm sure somewhere in all of NY there exists a similar slice, but it doesn't remotely compare to "text book" NY pizza. There are WAAAY too many toppings, but I'm sure that doesn't faze the quantity obsessed denizens of this town. I barely remember the crust which is generally the first and last thing I consider when eating pizza, so.... maybe the toppings overwhelmed it. Probably it just wasn't that great to begin with. We actually threw most of the two pizzas we ordered out. I usually can't stomach throwing away leftovers, and who doesn't like leftover pizza... but this pizza had to go.

Horrible! Waited 2 1/2 hours for pizza after told would only be an hour. When called to just cancel the order after 2 hrs bc had already fixed kids something else, was told credit card was already charged and to have it for left overs tomorrow! Ha! Ok maybe this time but NEVER again! Arrived cold, hard & disgusting!

Excellent pizza in a very casual atmosphere. I grew up in Wichita and moved away about 10 years ago. I can't BELIEVE this was not a regular stop for me when I lived there. The Central and Rock location is so close to our house! I got the lunch combo which includes one generous slice, salad and a drink. That was plenty for me! The crust was crunchy and there were some yummy crumbs on the bottom. The woman at the counter was very nice and recognized my dad and uncle as they frequent Knolla's quite a bit these days. The only downside was it was a bit loud. We brought my grandma (who is 100 years old) and she is hard of hearing which made conversation difficult. It is a good place for children though. They have an arcade in the back (not unlike Cici's).

Tried Knolla's for the first time today after seeing their Facebook page lit up with comments about how great it is and how it's the only place in Wichita for NY pizza. Well, it's not bad for Wichita, which is kind of a pizza desert--come on, Pizza Hut???--but I wouldn't really call this New York style. The crust, with its unusual crunchy bits (I'm afraid to ask what they are), is kind of unique for anywhere--that in itself makes this "not New York." While it sounds a bit gimmicky, it isn't bad, I must say. That is about all the pizza has to recommend it, though. The sauce is pretty weak; it's too thick and not properly spiced, and the toppings are the cheapo kind you get anywhere. The cheese is largely overwhelmed by the crust and sauce--it's out of balance. And this place PUTS HOT DOGS ON PIZZA. What kind of stupid lame is that??? All in all I would eat Knolla's again, but it isn't very close to Bartelli's in taste, authenticity, or quality---the only TRUE NY pizza in ICT to date. As far as quality on a pizza, Knolla's serves the same processed this and that as Pizza Hut.

They do have good pizza. I went Friday night and the seating was a little dicy. They took our order and yet there was no where to sit. So I stood against a wall with a number in one hand and my drink in the other, just wondering which hand I was going to hold a large pizza in. Finally a family finish and we hurried to take the seat before anyone else could steal it from us. Who needs a clean table? I just wanted to sit down. Our pizza arrived right after we sat down and it was good. Pepperoni and mushroom with a crispy crust. It tasted fresh and the people behind the counter seemed nice enough. If a place is crowded and there is hardly a place to sit, then I take it as a sign that the food I am about to partake in can not be that bad. I think there is a saying that if you are in a foreign land and you are hungry, then go stand in the longest line and order what everyone else is ordering. I would live my life in line if I didn't have to be anywhere.

The only place I am aware that you can buy a proper SLICE of pizza in Wichita. Sometimes I do not feel like ordering an entire pizza, Knollas seems to be the only solution. Lucky for me the pizza is delicious! I really like their Buffalo Chicken Pizza, but you can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

The Coney Island pizza. You have got to be fucking kidding me. Hot dogs, pickles, onions, and mustard on a pizza? Who orders this? Does anyone actually like this atrocity? I'm fine with experimenting with food, but this kind of thing crosses a line. Actually, it crosses several: aesthetic, culinary, and, dare I say, ethical. Forcing pizza into a flavor palette utterly alien to it on a culinary whim is irresponsible at best and at worst represents an act of violence. Let pizza be pizza and hot dogs be hot dogs. Anyway... This place was touted as Wichita's finest pizza house by some people I trust who were, I presumed, in the know. So I went. I saw the Coney Island and I ignored it. I saw the meat pizza covered in what appeared to be deer scat and I ignored it. I wish I hadn't. We ordered the supreme pizza, figuring that to be a safe bet. What we got was a pizza that was 90% toppings, of which 90% was sausage balls. Seriously, it wasn't so much topped with sausage as buried in sausage. "Hey, lots of toppings, that's great," some might say. But not so fast. That sausage they play so fast and loose with isn't very good at all, and certainly not so good that I was excited to see a heaping mound of it adorn my pizza. Hell, even if it was fantastic sausage, it's just too damn much of it. There was hardly any cheese or sauce on this thing, and just the barest spattering of other toppings. What sauce there was was pretty flavorless and dried out, and you have to actively seek out the cheese. That, combined with the thin crust (which actually wasn't bad despite the panko crumbs) meant that none of the toppings actually remained on the pizza for long. Trying to pick up a slice results in a lap full of deer scat -- er -- sausage balls. Using the old Knork was little better, as it was something like trying to eat crackers and M&M's with a fork. Sure, they are generous with their toppings, but if you've tasted their toppings, you will probably wish they were a bit stingier. If this is the best pizza Wichita has to offer, then I just feel sorry for Wichita.

Coming from Chicago and KC.....this is ok. Not able to rank it with some of the better spots in other cities. Not sure how it ranks in Wichita Pizzeria's. But if this is one of Wichita's best, you haven't traveled enough, or you don't sample pizza when on the road. It fills the void when craving pizza, and worthy to go back for another try, and I may have to give a few other local spots a try before thinking about any coffin nails.

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

I love this pizza so much. They are slow but most of the time it is worth the wait. You have to try their chocolate chip dessert pizza!

Awesome pizza and sandwiches!

Great pizza. And a surprise when you check in on Foursquare!

The pepperoni pizza on the New York style crust is nothing short of amazing. They even have big slices! When I'm not getting my pepperoni on, I usually go for the Italian sub.
