I honestly don't know how this place is still in business I work across the street and there is NEVER anyone there. The food has gone down hill since they opened and they have taken some of the better stuff off the menu Very slow -- very small place that just feels like it's unfinished good Curry -- but not much else

The food was great. We tried 2 apps, 2 entrees', and the naan. All were very delightful. I will be eating here next time I come to town. They have a buffet from 11-3 that looked to have a good selection. Definately worth a try.

I'm giving this three stars for one big reason - the food was not spicy. Now I'm used to spice, having grown up on Cajun and Mexican food, but this was still a major letdown. Other than the lack of spice, the food was good. I went during the lunch buffet and tried everything, and liked the vast majority of it. Anyway, if you are looking for good Indian food without a lot of spice, this is your place. If you want spice, I would not recommend this place.

If you are ever going to take one review on Yelp very seriously, take this one. Not only is the food AWFUL, but the place is almost creepy. I would go so far to say that I felt uncomfortable there from a personal stand point. I took two bites of my carry-out and threw it away. Truly horrible experience..

When you walk in don't expect to be greeted. A few minutes pass and a young timid girl says you can sit where ever you'd like. Then several minutes pass and she walks over and says we are having the buffet for lunch. We asked her to bring us waters. The buffet had several items out like the tikka masala and naan and hummus. The naan and hummus made a late arrival. But amazingly the hummus was bland. Everything one very one-note. Everything tastes similar. The eggplant dish had a lot of bitterness so you could tell it was eggplant. The beef dish was blended in a blender to some sort of baby food consistency. The spinach was cooked beyond recognition and blended. Save your taste buds and just avoid this place

We haven't been here in awhile, but are glad we came back. I still think both rice and naan should come with the meal, it was fine to get rice with and order garlic naan on the side. When the picky child is equally excited about dinner, we are all happy.

Love the hummus! And tandori chicken was good! Many varieties in their buffet, spiciness is just right! Service was good, will come back again for sure!

I have not eaten in side, I get my food to go. So I don't know how the service is but the food was delish. It taste authentic. The naan is perfect, and the chicken tikka masala is amazing they they just the heat to whatever you like. I like it hot. If the food stays as good as it was for me, I could care less about the service.

I wish I could give Kababs a higher rating. Being the only Indian restaurant on the west side, you would think they would be more busy. Because my boyfriend can't handle the spices they use, I only get to eat Indian when he is out of town. I was fairly disappointed with my last visit. I tried to call both the phone number for Kababs and the phone number for Olives & Pita (their Medtierrainian spot right next door), but no one answered. I took my chances and drove there, hoping I wouldn't need my back up choice. I was happy to see they were open, however, I stood in the front of the restaurant for at least 5 minutes waiting for someone to come take my order. The food was prepared in around 10-15 minutes. I ordered my usual Korma Beef with jasmine rice, chicken curry with naan, and a side of vegetable samosas. The final straw that broke my back was the fact that they couldn't break a $20. I had to pay with a card because they couldn't make change. I don't know if things will get better. I work on the East side now, so I could always grab something from Zaytun's or Passage to India on the way home.Hope they can drum up business and improve service.

The food was great but the service was very bad and another bad thing was my friend found a glass piece In mango lassi and why they did was given a free ticket just to my friend instead of apologizing.

Let me start by saying that I don't usually review too many places but once in a while I'm compelled to do so, Kababs is a really exceptional place good value, service and most importantly the food has to be hands down one of the best I tried in the Wichita area how they only have 10 reviews as of 11/11/2013 is beyond me don't understand it. Try the buffet you will not be dissapointed everything is so fresh not overly spicy just the way is supposed to be a nice balance between spices and the natural flavors of the ingredients it just taste so damn good. Give it a try is under $10 so what's the worst that can happen.

I made a mistake of ordering for takeout and I got yelled at by the waitress (obviously an American waitress who know nothing about the food that they are serving) --- i wanted to order Roti bread instead of Naan and this girl insisted that they dont serve that --- well I have been their customer since they opened and I was staring at the menu when I made the call! TEACH YOUR SERVERS ABOUT YOUR FOOD! THEY ARE A BUNCH OF IDIOTS WHO BRING YOUR BUSINESS DOWN!

This place was very good. We arrived shortly after they opened so there was not a crowd. They were attentive and kept our drinks filled. The buffet was hot and well stocked. Not quite as tasty as Zaytun but it is a good west side alternative. We will go there again.

In a strip mall, looked like nothing special. But it is. Food was outstanding. Lots of flavor, fresh ingredients. I will be back.

Been here twice for the buffet, and I left satisfied both times. Service - excellent. I had the same server both times I visited. She was really friendly, on top of drinks, and was available to deliver naan and another type of bread when it was freshly baked. She had lots of helpful suggestions for how to pair foods. She also offered us a sample of a mango-smoothie type beverage (forgive me, I'm not sure what it was called) without charging. Food - delicious. The buffet offers lots of variety, although not as many vegetarian dishes as I would like. Their desserts are amazing as well. Atmosphere - okay. The second time I ate here, there were no other customers in the place. This doesn't really affect how I feel about the restaurant as a whole, but I just thought I'd add it. :) I think people who are hesitant to try Indian or Pakistani food for fear of ordering something they don't enjoy should definitely try the buffet. I loved being able to see and smell the foods I was choosing, because I (obviously) can never remember any of the names of the foods.

Historically there has been quite the political and military tension along the Pakistan-India border. However, Kababs brings the best of both worlds of cuisine to West Wichita. The dinner menu features a variety of curry and kabab dishes, all served with your choice of steamed rice or naan. They also serve a lunch buffet that features their best dishes in a single spread for around the price of one of their cheaper dinner dishes. Kababs is a dining must if you enjoy Pakistani and Indian cuisine!

We went back to try the buffet. They had a large selection of favorites. Everything seemed freshly cooked and tasted very good. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Night is a different story. We had that confused waitress again and service seems to have gotten worse. The iced tea they served had turned sour. I complained and got water as a replacement but they kept serving the soured tea to other customers. The waitress kept forgetting to bring things to our table and just seemed really out of it. Despite the poor service, the food was still very good. We'll be back for the buffet but when we go back for dinner we'll have to get the food to go.

Went for the buffet. The food was delicious and the service was wonderful. Very nice people running this restaurant and we had a very nice time. Enjoyed eating here and would definitely come back.

Food and service were outstanding. The ingredients in the curry I had were incredibly fresh, I think my dish was made completely from scratch when I ordered it. Heard oohhs and aahhhs from other tables as their food was served too.. A nice, unique option in the airport area. I'll stay downtown my next visit but will make the trip out to eat here again. Same owners have an adjacent restaurant called Olive and Pita, looking forward to trying the Mediterranean food there.

I'm new to Indian / Pakistani food but this buffet was hot, fresh and delicious and gave me the opportunity to try some things that I might otherwise not have. Very enjoyable! Will be back.

Great Indian food in West Wichita. I found out about them because of a Groupon and decided to go check it out. I had the lunch buffet and everything was top notch. The flavors for all the different meats and curries were delicious. They have vegetarian options for you vegan/vegetarians out there also. You get all that for just 7.99. Kabab's will definitely be a regular place i visit. They almost don't exist on the internet so I'm helping them with a Yelp listing.

Authentic food with a great variety of tastes. Small, intimate dining room and a good menu with numerous options for different taste. We'll see you there...it is a must try!

Great, authentic Indian food. So far I have had the buffet twice, and both times the food was outstanding and the service was friendly and fast. My favorite is the Chicken Tikki Masala - make sure to mix in the basmati rice and eat it with some Naan. I also enjoyed the Beef Briyani, Chicken Curry, and an okra dish. The food was not very spicy, but that is to be expected at a buffet. When I go for dinner I will request extra spice. There was a nice selection of desserts available on both visits, but I never have room. The weekend buffet is $9.99, and worth every penny.
