Easy, fast, inexpensive food is all you get from this establishment. Be prepared to order as soon as you walk into the door and bring cash. The fried rice is "okay" and the 2 eggrolls included in the bundle aren't bad either. Don't expect much flavor from the food but the $4 price makes up for that.

Tried this place after having my husband rave about it. Got the fried rice meal and was let down. The rice is greasy (my lips felt like they had a film on them). The chicken in the rice was fatty. And the sweet and sour sauce I got for my egg roll had a black corse hair in it! Will never be going back there.

The best $5.00 meal you will ever have. You get a large serving of Pork, Chicken, or Shrimp rice, An Egg Roll, and Can of Soda. This is my husbands and youngest daughters favorite place.

You get two fried egg rolls and a bucket of fried rice, with pork, chicken, or shrimp, and a can of soda (random brands in a fridge by the door) for the low price of $3.50! This is a ton of food for the price, but it probably isn't so healthy to eat this greasy stuff every day.

Small hole in the wall place. Cheap and tasty!!! You get alot for the price you pay. Owners are friendly and funny. Definitely a repeat customer.

Some buddies and I did a comparison of this place and the same meal at the Chinese deli in Dillons grocery. Dillons won. They had fresher rice, egg rolls that have meat in them and not just cabbage, and a fountain drink instead of a can of soda. The exact same amount of food for the same price. Anytime we have a hankering for a cheap what I call "Peasant Meal" like this we just hit up a Dillons grocery store. Something to think about next time you go to this place.

Fried Rice has gotten me through some very broke college kid times! It's very affordable and great for the price. I am so glad I stumbled upon this place! I recommend it to most my friends. The service is great as well!

Little hole in the wall place, but the food is great. Price is just right and the people are really nice.

Located behind To Chau in a strip mall I didn't realize existed, Fried Rice presented me with the shortest interaction I've ever had as a customer: Me: "I'll have the pork fried rice combo." *Lady takes carton of rice and eggrolls out of a cooler* Lady: "Four dollars." *I give her the cash and leave* So it wasn't exactly prepared to order, but the tongue-burning temperature of both the rice and eggrolls didn't bring into question any questions of freshness. And while the eggrolls were large and crispy, and the fried rice ample in pork, everything was quite greasy. Probably not so bad when it come to fried rice, and when you're paying four dollars for this large quantity of food, you're obviously not expecting anything unique or creative. Much like this review.

OMG..BEST EGGROLLS IN TOWN AND ONLY .75 CENTS EACH!! Funny, it is kinda like the kitchen (soup Nazi) on Seinfeld but I'm so used to going in it doesn't really bother me anymore. I had a great chat with the owner (male) on his previously military service. He is really nice and since I had to wait he offered me a free soda..really great guy and kind!!

I first discovered this place when we moved over to Broadview about 20 years ago. Young and poor, we thought $3.50 for a carton of fried rice, two egg rolls, and a soda was a bargain! Today it's only $4.00 but it's still that good, and it's still a bargain. I still remember how we used to ask each other, "How on earth can they make it if that's all they sell and for that cheap?" (ah, to be that ignorant..........) They make it, because they are the best bargain around, for what they sell. We moved clear out by Goddard and still made the trip on special occasions. We moved south of Wichita, and still made the trip. There isn't much that will keep us away from Fried Rice when a craving hits. NO ONE ELSE satisfies it like they do. When my son obtained his driver's license, he too started driving alllllllllllll the way to Fried Rice with his buddy, to fill that craving. There is a reason they are always busy: sheer fried rice perfection! Their egg rolls are so good too. You cannot go wrong here!!!

This is best place for fried rice! Be prepared to order when you step up to the counter though, because the owner is a bit like the soup Nazi! And don't even think about ordering but the special, or you'll throw the kitchen into a tizzy! Also, beware of dining in, as you'll smell like a big ol' bucket of deep fried goodness. The special is dirt cheap and is really filling. It consists of a carton stuff fulled of fried rice, two eggrolls, and a can of soda. Make sure you get there early if you want a name-brand soda, or you'll be stuck with a Shasta! Step on the wild side, and order something besides the chicken. (The owner made a joke about all the white customers only order chicken. I chuckled when they next few Caucasians ordered just that.) I always get the pork fried rice. The pork is Chinese bbq style and sliced thinly. It is so good and puts me in a food coma! The rice is so good that you don't even need soy sauce. I no longer live in Wichita, and still dream about the fried rice. Oh, and don't let the location next to the escort service scare you away. Or if that was your destination, get "porked" while you get your services!!

4 dollars (cash only), chicken fried rice, two (good) eggrolls, can of soda, make sure you shut the fridge. Has been a little greasy once or twice but no more than a $10 (name brand) dinner. There is some seating but grab and go is the preferred dinning experience.

  • Chris T.

Love this place. By far the best fried rice in Wichita. Fried rice, egg rolls, and a soda all for around $4. Cant beat that!

  • William L.
