Chinese Cuisine
The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.

When I get a craving for chicken wings (and my wife is too busy to cook hers) I think of this place before any other.

We always order their food to be delivered. We have mostly had great results. I must say though, I didn't care for their sweet and sour shrimp. It was around 5 or 6 big pieces of shrimp but it was mostly batter. They forgot to send the sauce and the batter was still doughy. Excellent spicy chicken dishes and their house soup can't be beat!

I order delivery and I swear every time there is something wrong. I get that they are busy but come on man! I ordered Healthy Chicken w/ Vegetables and I have NO clue what the sauce was. It was NOT garlic sauce I can assure you. Sometime I order egg rolls with no sweet n sour sauce.. ..etc.. why can't Chinese take out at least be right? I have ordered in KC twice and two different locations and both times they were right on the money. That was even delivering at a hotel room at 10:00 at night.

Very good food! Great service, quick delivery. I will definitely be getting food here again!

It's a hit and miss here. On a good day, the food is good... But then again, it's Chinese food. That's really tough to screw up. On a bad day, the food could be overly sweet, or salty. But fortunately for them, bad days are rare. We always call in ahead of time and then go pick it up. Online ordering is ok but not really polished. The staff, well, English isn't their first language. Also, another recommendation: When ordering, specify no MSG. The food for some reason tastes better without that junk.

I wanted Chinese delivery and found this gem! Was able to order my food online on their personal website, prices were decent, delivery was only $1 and the food came delivered by a cute little Asian lady. Took about 40 minutes during the dinner rush (630pm-730pm). She was nice, my order was accurate. Food was great. Satisfied my Chinese food craving. Included the usual sauce packets and fortune cookies, but no chopsticks :( Would order again! They take card too :)

The wifee took me here for lunch today. She had been there a couple days ago with a friend. What was your first impression? Its looks like a small family run place with about a doz tables. Its not fancy and doesn't have a lot of stuff hanging on the walls like most Asian restaurants, and even had some boxes stacked in one corner. The owners little girl (I would guess maybe 6 or 7 yrs old) was playing on a laptop at one table. It just felt very comfortable and relaxed. How was the Quality of Food? A+++, I ordered pork Egg Foo Young with fried rice, and the wifee had Chicken Lo Mein. They brought mine first as soon as it was cooked and still steaming hot and then after I was about half through with mine the Lo Mein came out also fresh off the stove. I kind of enjoyed getting mine so hot off the stove and even shared with Loida till hers got there but she wasn't as happy with having to wait. Both dishes were very good and large servings too. I also had most of the Lo Mein to take to work for dinner, since the wife eats like a small bird. OK she says I eat like a bird too, a buzzard. What about the valve for the Buck? Great only about $15 for both meals. Hard to complain about that. How was the appearance and cleanliness? Very good, I would of like to have had silverware instead of plastic but no big deal to me. Did you receive exactly what you ordered? Yes, Perfect! How was the service? Excellent Summary and will you go back? I enjoyed it alot and yes I will be back, they could become my new favorite Asian restaurant.

They had wifi, and that is very important, because most asian restaurants in this town don't have any, those losers. This place has nice well prepared lunchtime food, nothing overwhelming just nice.

The food is cheap and the staff is pretty friendly. My only concern is the kitchen looks a little dirty.

Dragon City apparently shares a familial resemblance to the Great Wall chain, by comparing their take-out menus and that distinctive yellow fried rice. We ordered take-out from their website, which is well-designed to scroll through the menu and tick off your menu selections for pick-up or delivery at a scheduled time. Our order was ready when we arrived less than 10 minutes later. Any of their lunch specials have enough entree and fried rice to feed 1 hungry person or 2 dieters (and the 2 crab rangoons can be easily shared.) The entrees were still nice and hot when we returned home. All three entrees sampled (orange chicken, chicken lo mein and beef Szechuan style) were well seasoned and had a nice assortment of crisp-tender vegetables. The included pork fried rice was OK, but seemed a little lacking in flavor. The crab rangoon were standard for Wichita cuisine, which is to say light on the crab and cloyingly sweet (almost like deep-fried cheesecake). Overall, we were very satisfied with the quality and value of the lunch selections, and I hope this location is well-supported by its neighborhood, because it's some of the better take-out I've had in Wichita. p.s.: there is limited dine-in available here, but apparently most of their business is carry-out/delivery.

Ordered the Hunan beef, crab ragoon, pork egg roll and egg drop soup for myself and chicken nuggets and fries for my picky son. Hunan beef was slightly bland for my tastes (supposed to be spicy) except the veggies were amazingly fresh not over cooked at all. Crab ragoon were satisfactory but the egg roll took me back to my 1st job waitressing at a little Chinese restraunt owned and operated by Vietnamese, Chinese and South Korean women 20 yrs ago was too good, 2nd best to a fond memory from my youth EVER. Egg drop soup was an amazingly large serving, a large was enough for 4 people, was slightly bland again but was heavily filled with egg which is not like most Chinese takeout/delivery places. Chicken nuggets weren't fully cooked same with the fries. So excellent Chinese experience all in all but not as for the American side lol Great service good price I will be ordering again just only for myself.

This has been my go-to Chinese for the last few years. No disappointment, huge portions, and delivery just sweetens the deal. The Hunan Pork comes with an amazing garlic sauce, but I typically gravitate toward the orange chicken, which completely overtook my sesame chicken obsession. The healthy options are still delicious and ample, and come with sauce on the side. The fried and steamed dumplings are a must try- simply delectable. The staff are always polite, the service is quick, and the delivery persons are genuinely nicer than any pizza delivery (only thing to compare in food delivery in Wichita) I've ever had. Super nice people. I hope that Dragon City stays for a long time!

I arrived right after Opening today -- on my way to run Errands! At first, no one was in the Entry / Foyer. I stood there for a couple of minutes -- just looking around. A very SULLEN young lady arrived and took my order. I asked if they had Beef 'Kung Pao' at lunch and she said 'NO" -- so I ordered the Chicken 'Kung Pao'. She asked if I wanted a drink and I asked what they have and she JERKED her head towards a Soda Cooler/ Charming!! She rang it up but gave me no receipt, probably because I paid in Cash. I went and sat down. The first table I sat at had several 'Take Home' containers on it -- so I moved to another table. The second table was sticky and my elbows stuck to the surface. There are several upright Freezers and one Soda Case in the 'Restaurant' area. When the food arrived, she said nothing to me. Put it down and turned on her heel and left. I will say that the food was very hot, but tasted of stale oil / grease. And as mentioned by previous Reviewers, the Rice was yellow but had no flavor. I never saw that young lady again. I decided to pack up my food and head home. The ambiance in my home is much nicer than this place. Why 3 Stars? The portions were large and the food was served Hot. But, no, I wouldn't return here -- unless I was ordering 'Take Out'.

Was not at all impressed with the taste and overall quality. The restaurant itself looked dirty and not very clean. Soap in bathroom was nothing but water in the bottle. With a sign on wall that says employees must wash hands etc. Well you can't clean yourself with water in a soap bottle. After eating the food both me and my friend felt sick. Not recommended.

I've had delivery once and this past week I dined in. Food was great both times. If it matters...they serve everything on plastic plates with plastic utensils...even for dine-in.

Typical Midwestern Chinese. Candied and full of MSG. I think I'll pass in the future. Plus, yellow rice?? Odd.

Ordered on the website for delivery during mid-afternoon. Delivery is only $1 charge with $10 min order and it was at my door in about 15 minutes, so very satisfied with the time. A younger teenager delivered the food to the door, (who I assume must be part of the family business helping out) and was very pleasant. I have ordered a few times before and have tried the chicken lo-mein, General's chicken, egg drop soup, and beef and mushroom. All of those items were very good and the egg drop soup was some of the best in town that I have tasted with lots of egg white in it and not too pasty and thick! yum yum Today I ordered steamed dumplings and the lunch portion of curry beef with pork fried rice. The dumplings were nice and hot when delivered and had a lot of meat filling which was moist and flavorful. The curry beef is the one disappointment I've had so far. The menu shows this as a spicy dish and usually when I've had this dish at other places such as Great Wall, it has lots of beef and onions with a medium/hot curry sauce that will make you sweat a little bit. This dish on the other hand did not have a lot of beef and had onions, green beans, carrots, bamboo shoots, water chestnuts. It had very little flavor to it other than the very little sauce provided from the beef flavor. There was absolutely no spice to the dish. The pork fried rice was decent and had a good flavor to it. I've had much worse fried rice, but I've also had better. Overall I'm a fan of Dragon City and have been pleased with the food. I would suggest adding more spice to your food, especially if its an item that someone orders because its supposed to be a spicy item.

Went to Dragon City for the first time today. The lunch prices are $5.15 for the specials and include 2 crab rangoons. I ordered the Hunan Chicken. The spiciness level was very mild in my opinion, but the flavor was pretty good. The sauce isn't overpowering, it's really more to complement the vegetables and chicken. The vegetables were fresh, the fried rice wasn't super greasy and it had some decent flavor and texture to it. The crab rangoons were very sweet but they had good crunch. The portion was large considering the price. The food reminds me Great Wall but better. I'll be going here again to try some other entrees. I ordered carry out and it took about 10 minutes, so the wait time wasn't bad at all.
