Big portions for great prices!!! The service here is always excellent! Only disappointing thing is that they don't take call ahead or reservations so the wait is long during their busy hours.

Cheddars Was not one of my favorites (see my rating) the food was ok not a wow factor. Service was great (that was probably the best part) my food that I got was good but wasn't great. But the restaurant looked cool inside.
(3)Dave W.
Great food at best prices in town. Friendly staff with good food choices for everyone.
(5)Dallas J.
The food is alright. Not too much flavor and kind of bland. Nice location by the movie theater but altogether not very exciting.

Like the environment here. Loved the onion ring stack!! Have to have it So good! Will go there again !!
(4)Kirby B.
The wife and I love this place. Good is great & not a bad price. The kids like it to. Good place to eat before a movie or bowling.

I have tried this place several times. I have never had a good experience. There is always a long wait, the menu is mediocre and the service is terrible. It is seriously so bad that three of the times we went, we left with complimentary meals from the manager. The last of those ended up expiring in my purse because we did not want to go back. There are several great American food joints within a couple of miles, I say go there.

Food here is exra-ordinary. Fairly boring, but it will fill your stomach. The only thing good is their prices, which prove 'you get what you pay for.' So I give them two stars, since if you're on a budget and want to take your family out, this might fit the bill. (pun intended) Order a burger, you'll get a sizable over-cooked patty on a plain white bun. Order a salad, your mouth better be watering for iceberg lettuce, which has minimal flavor or nutritional content. Have a few croutons and smother it in ranch dressing. Mmm. If you like that kind of thing. A restaurant for the lowest common denominator.

Prices are VERY reasonable, especially for the amount of food you get.We had burgers, shared the onion ring stack (DELICIOUS!) and had to get a take home box. The margarita was one of the best I've had at any restaurant. The service was great, fast even though the place was super busy. We will definitely go back again.

Well, once again, I have to go for what is open past 9pm on a Friday night where I feel comfortable taking high school kids for dinner. Service was sparse but decent. Food? Bar food. I had a philly. It was greasy and salty but tasty. Too bad I could only drink iced tea with it tonight! Colleague had fettucine alfredo. HUGE portion. Wichita. Got it. We will be back next year. It's better than fast food.

This place is average to boring food. It is like an Applebees, but even more boring and white. Basically - it's Wichita. Think of Bennigans without all the tacky shit and chotchkies all over the walls. 3 stars - The club, um, yeah. A club sandwich. 3 stars - chicken sandwiches...um, fairly plain chicken sandwiches. 4 Star - Monte Cristo, decent; good try. B+. Bennigans still does the Monte Cristo Much Better. 3.5 Star - buttered croissants - yeah, not bad. 2 stars - The service was friendly but incompetent. I'm pretty sure our server was high, and I don't say this just because he was a young black male. He threw out the food we asked him to box, then brought us lots of empty boxes to box up....what? You threw the food out you dumb shit, what am I going to do with the boxes? Fail. The do have a bunch of young, giggling, useless hostesses if you like that sort of thing. Personally, I prefer a bit older, hotter hostesses, that I can take home with me. I would eat here again, but only if someone else drove me here, as is how I wound up here in the first place. Bonefish is right across the street. How can you wind up here?
(3)Wendy E.
WOW..is all I can say. First time at Cheddar's...food was typical bar/pub/eat more than you need-kind of place. HUGE portions. Not much to complain about but not much to go on and on about. Clearly a fan favorite for the after church crowd. The 6 person booth, while comfy, is really hard to get out of!! Watching 92 year old grandma do the slide and bump to get to her spot in the booth was comical!

Have never eaten at a Cheddars that I didn't enjoy. Wichita is no different. Good food, good price, and the Texas Tea is fantastic and a real value for the price.
(4)Cary B.
I've had a few different items on the menu, all have been above average. The wait staff were willing to change-up an item, no problem. The chicken tenders, the Salmon, the Alfredo, the Philly, the Burger(s).. Very good quality. The salad was good, try the honey croissants. Drink prices are very good. A full dinner with drinks for two was about $30. Normally, I would have expected closer to $50. I will return often..
(5)Kyle W.
This place is amazing! My fiancé and I were able to order steak and salmon for $20. Atmosphere is great, service as well. I've never had a bad meal.
(5)Kevin G.
Did takeout. Quality of food was good. Value was also fair to good. Service was poor. Stood waiting at packed bar (where they manage call in orders) to get waiter attention. 5 wait people stood around engrossed in each other while only 1 person was aggressively working. I waited 5 mins for busy guy to get to me. They have no take out parking and no condiments etc at the bar. One guy had to go back to kitchen to get mustard and he was gone another 5-10 mins. Not satisfying service experience at all.
(3)James B.
Good food. Very attentive service. Cool space. Zero complaints. The food was nothing incredibly remarkable that I would drive across town for, but if I'm out east, it's a great option for something not avail out west and keeps the whole family happy with the variety of options. Also, VERY reasonably priced for the qty of food you get. And having sub $4 frozen beverage option is a nice change of pace from the usual.

Two times I left Cheddar's full but unimpressed. The portions are great for the price (my spasagna lasted for two meals), but the dishes were average: the spasagna needed more marinara sauce and the BBQ sauce on the ribs was a little sweet. I did, however, liked their Texas cheese fries. The staff were friendly enough and it seemed like they have good business; both times I left around 7pm and there were people waiting for tables. Two things I liked about Cheddar's: they're located next to the Warren and the casual dress code.
(3)Jasmine E.
The food was great! Only thing was that my steak was over cooked but the manager did everything he could to correct it. I had steak, ribs, broccoli & cheese casserole, red beans and rice and a salad! I sat at the bar & Matt www great!!! The Maui margaritas are always on point!!!
(4)Ryan L.
Excellent service, with delicious food and drinks. Everything is priced reasonably, especially for a classier restaurant. Drinks are strong, too!
(5)Alexandria L.
Visited cheddars on a work lunch with other team members. Service was ok, given that it was lunch hour it was just ok. Nothing really bad or really good. The food was just ok as well. Portions were standard and all that was expected from a chain restaurant.
(3)Anita H.
Hadn't been to cheddars in years and although you get a lot of food for your price it's more quantity than quality. Green beans were obviously out of the can and had a lot of onions in them to try to give them flavor and were cooked to death, chicken fried steak, although it looks fabulous, but it was all breading, very little meat on the inside. Honey mustard chicken and mushrooms-(grilled) was okay too much sauce on my plate and chicken tasted somewhat spongy you like pre-cooked chicken. The broccoli and rice casserole was very good The chicken fried chicken and onion rings were very good and homemade, I think they do several things that are out of the can or powdered but if you know the menu well you could find what might be good Quality.
(3)Bill S.
The food is good -- onion rings are the best Don't order the salmon -- unless you like it dry and overcooked They NEED TO CLEAN THE FLOORS -- they are so greasy that you ice skate to your table and I have nearly fallen while walking to our table
(4)Danny N.
What best summarizes my opinion on Cheddar's is: The taste is as reasonable as the price. I've never had a BAD experience with Cheddar's, but I've also never been blown away either; and really I think it's very unfair to expect a 5 star experience from a restaurant that charges an average of 10 dollars for per entree. All in all, I think it's a fantastically affordable lunch spot when I'm not in the mood for a burger.
(3)Brett S.
This is one of my favorite places to dine with the family. Cheddar's has a comfortable atmosphere, great wait staff, and high quality food for the prices. For these reasons however, wait times to get seated can be long at certain hours of the day. If you plan ahead though and avoid the rush hours, you will have a great experience and leave happy. One of my favorite dishes is the Chicken Pot Pie. It is light, delicious, and made with fresh ingredients. The catfish is also a favorite for everyone in the family.
(4)Natasha M.
This is my go to place for great food, atmosphere, and very reasonably priced entrees. My most recent visit, I had the country fried steak and a friend had the same version only with chicken. I would suggest the chicken, as the country fried steak was a bit chewy and bland for my taste. I had plate envy after my friend allowed me to try her chicken, which was seasoned and tender! The honey buttered croissants are delicious.
(4)Karen K.
Been there a few times. Food is okay, but not what I would consider exceptional. Clean and friendly though.
(3)Yvette U.
Well folks I don't know what to say this used to be one of my favorite places until one Saturday night I came in starving after work. My plate arrived with a live Roach IN my mashed potatoes!!! Which is freaking disgusting! Really upset. So long cheddars :(
(1)Nancy K.
The mere mention of Cheddar's to my co-workers brings cheers of joy, like a bus full of 8 year-olds headed to the candy store. We love it because it is cheap and we have a 10 dollar limit when the company is paying. Holy crap do we get more than enough. I love the Chicken Strip dinner (with buffalo sauce) that comes with two sides. The broccoli cheese casserole is amazing! I'm not a fan of the rolls but everyone else seems to be. The problem is...I just can't bring myself to order anything else! You get 6-8 chicken strips, I've never even come close to finishing it. The service is always good, the place is always packed, we just wish they were open a little later.

Possibly the worst restaurant I've eaten at in the last 5 years. Ceaser salad - limp lettuce drenched in dressing with a couple of croutons Club sandwich - Asked for honey mustard to replace mayo... Did not get it. Sandwich was dry. Limp piece of iceberg lettuce was gross. Tiny, too. Fish tacos - VERY strange taste. My wife ate one and I took a bite of the other. Not sure what deal was but was afraid fish spoiled so we did not continue to eat. Prices were low. Only saving grace. I know that this kind of restaurant works in Wichita, but there are so many better places out there, that I would highly recommend that you go somewhere else. The low-price for casual concept idea is a good one, but pay an extra buck or two to get something better. You won't regret it.

If I want a big American meal, I go here. They have a splendid collection of sides (my favorite is the broccoli and cheese casserole). The bourbon glazed salmon is wonderful, but I suggest asking for a side of the bourbon glaze to use as a dipping sauce. The steaks are also very tender. I really like the atmosphere as well (big ceiling fans, comfortable seating) and enjoy eating at the bar area, especially if you don't want to deal with screaming kids. I would give this place a 5, but the service is a hit or miss.

was fancier than I had expected for somewhere called a 'casual cafe", it was so packed and pretty loud on a saturday night. not really conducive to conversation. I had the grilled portobello ciabatta and it was just not good. reminds me of something after you reheat it. our waiter was so busy serving so many tables that it took awhile to even get a refill of water.

Busiest restaurant I've ever seen on Thursday night even. The wait was worth it. Good food at reasonable prices. Party of 12 received great service. Key West chicken and shrimp is really good. So much food a take out box was needed. Drinks looked great. Penne pasta on childs menu was not good. dry sauce and tough. Chicken strips were good. Rolls are very good. Full menu with lots of choices. It is very loud agreeing with other reviews on that.

Cheddar's is a pretty nice place to have dinner. A sit-down-and-enjoy-your-meal place with reasonable prices and a comfortable atmosphere. I have been a couple of times and I can tell you that their chicken fried steaks are large and delicious and the salmon is great as well. I haven't been there in a while. I guess I need to make a return trip.
(4)Jillian B.
I love Cheddar's! They have the best chicken salad in the world. Their Monte Cristo is insanely amazing, though you'll regret eating it because of all the calories. Their chicken strips are yummy yummy, and their spinach dip is delicious. Unfortunately, it's also one of the loudest restaurants you'll ever go into. It's impossible to hear anyone at your table talk. I'm a fan of getting the food to go, and then eating in a more relaxed environment.
(4)William A.
Nice enough place. good food, but nothing that I would remember a week later. I had the steak and 1/2 stack of ribs. You get alot of food and the staff is quick and friendly. I would definately go here again, but if the majority of the group didn't have any idea what they wanted. This is a safe bet with traditional american cuisine. This place however did remind me of the restaurant in the movie Office Space, with less flair of course. No complaints. My only thought is that this place might be interchangeable with some other places in town like Applebee's. In all, good food, quick service, friendly staff, not unique.
(3)Sophii J.
Great prices, Great Food, services is pretty good as well, although I'm confused as to why the burgers dont come w/ fries?? Overall a great restraunt, thats why its ALWAYS full [=
(4)Sara Z.
The onion rings are fantastic! I would come here JUST for those. The food is traditional homestyle fare, chicken fried steak, chicken fingers, veggie sides. The food quality is good, but not excellent. It's filling though. A lot of food per serving, and very inexpensive. Great for families, and the ambience is family friendly too. I also like the interesting palm fans on the ceiling. Nice touch! Located close to the 13th Street Warren, a great place to go before or after a movie.

Having found ourselves in Wichita over the weekend, my family I decided to stop into Cheddar's for dinner last night after passing a series of chain restaurants. I'm not sure if Cheddar's is a chain, but it wasn't something that we could get back in California and the menu was varied enough to meet all of the dietary needs of the group. The food was pretty good, huge portions, and remarkably cheap (especially when compared to California standards). The service was friendly and prompt, especially considering it was almost 9pm on a Sunday night. Overall a good experience, although nothing remarkable.
(3)Steve H.
This was an excellent restaurant with great food and a nice atomsphere. The price is reasonable as well. Definitely will go back!
(5)C L.
Cheddar's is great! Always good service, fantastic food and drinks, all at a great price! Love this place!
(5)Jennifer L.
I was actually a visitor from California when my friend took me here when I was in town. The restaurant looked very cozy and the atmosphere was friendly and casual. He told me the cocktails and mixed drinks there were really good and so that was what i tried. Strawberry and mango margarita was what I ordered and it tasted very good. The cup was huge and it was only like 3.99. I ordered the fish fillet and it tasted delicious! Perfectly cooked and seasoned. My overall experience was wonderful! I would definitely go back to this place again if I ever come back for a visit.
(4)Jennifer Q.
Love love love the chicken pot pie! The spinach dip is really good, too. I also had a raspberry tea that was great. Wish I had enough room for a dessert, but I couldn't finish anything & took half of everything home. Yum.
(5)Ray S.
Good food. Angelo was a great waiter. Try the onion rings. Was amazed at the prices.
(4)Olin S.
Good food. Good service. Good prices.
(4)Rachel M.
Cheddar's has an awesome selection of classic American foods! My parents and I shared a great stack of onion rings, which were perfectly breaded and full of yum! I had the loaded potato skins, which were also good. The waitress we had was very nice and always there to see if we needed anything. The fish tank is also a nice attraction!
(4)Justin V.
Definately a good value, good recipes, but ingredients do seem a little on the cheap side.
(3)Valerie M.
I'm mainly giving this five stars to help raise the rating, really this is a solid 4 stars in my book. Maybe 41/2. I love this place. A restaurant where I can get reasonably healthy meals with VEGETABLES and my husband can stuff his face with meat and potatoes type fare. Why is it so hard to find decent restaurants that have veggies on the menue while still being a good price and tasty?? The service is good, the decor is pleasing, the prices are right, the food is delicious, what's not to love?
