We had a good experience here. The food was good and in generous quantity. The service was good, but it took a while to get our food. It was Sunday morning so we weren't in a hurry. They have a Comercial that loops that talks about the restaurant, it gets a little irritating after seeing it 27 times in a row, but you get numb to it after the 50th time it loops. Overall I would go back if I wasn't rushed.

I finally got to try this place after seeing the commercials and coupons in a local booklet. We started off with Fried Mushrooms which were made from fresh button mushrooms and battered just right. I ordered the Chicken Fried Chicken and was amazed by the large portion size. The meal came with a bowl for the salad bar, mashed potatoes, cup of corn, and a choice of homemade cornbread, biscuit, or Texas Toast. To me, the chicken seemed a little dry, but overall had good flavor. I'm usually the one in the group that talks about how salty things are, but this was perfectly seasoned. I would definitely come back, but to try something else on the menu. My only complaint would the salad bar. The lettuces looked old and not cut very well evidenced by large chucks on lettuce that I had to cut myself. The service was excellent. Our waitress was attentive and efficient.

My mister and I ate hear for the first time this morning. The waitress was amazing she recommended the chicken fried steak and let us know that it was rated number 1 in wichita. I don't personally eat meat so I didn't try it but he LOVED it. The prices were pretty spot on for any breakfast place and we were seated and served quickly. I would definitely come here again. The next time I will be trying the cinnamon roll french toast. :)

I was expecting a cookie cutter clone of the original west side location, which I frequent, but upon arrival the appearance of the exterior was the first indication it isn't the case. Inside is a nicely done diner (see pics) with the same friendly wait staff. There's no country store (only a few shelves of product for purchase at the entrance), no salad bar, and it's considerably smaller, but the menu is identical and all indications are the quality is the same high standard. I had their signature cinnamon roll french toast with sausage, because I was in mood for breakfast, and I can't wait to go back to try their open-faced roast beef with mashed potato platter. A very enjoyable experience at this east side location - with a completely different feel. I like diners, but not everyone will, and I suspect this probably represents what several diners in Wichita once were when they were in their prime... I agree with J.B. - it took some time & effort to actually figure out how to find it, even with GPS, because it's behind some other buildings facing Webb and the view from the road is partially obstructed. It's located on the N.E. corner of E Harry St & S Webb Rd - tucked in behind a little strip mall on 1520 S Webb.

My wife and I decided to eat here for my birthday and if I could have my birthday wish back I would of wished for better service and better food. We sat at least 15 minutes before getting waited on. We ordered appetizers and the waitress forgot about them. I ordered the carmelized onion chicken breast and it was cold, the mashed potatoes and gravy were cold and I had to remind the waitress about the salad bowl that came with my meal. Went up to the salad bar and it wasn't filled at all. Only items available were lettuce, croutons and sunflower seeds. This had to have been the worse place I've ever ate in wichita and I've been to a variety of restraunts during my 8 yrs of living here. NOT SATISFIED!!!

We had to wait an hour before getting our food and when we got it my boyfriend's was burnt. Mine was ok but nothing great. We do not plan on going back. Too expensive for the food quality and wait time. Our server was very nice though.

This was our first visit to the restaurant. We were seated quickly by the friendly staff and our server approached our table soon after. The restaurant was very clean and inviting. Our food was fantastic! The chicken fried steak was amazing and huge. I loved the homemade taste of everything. We will definitely be coming back.

We have dined at the east location twice now. Both times were ok. We have tried the chicken fried steak as well as the chicken fried chicken. Both offered very large portions, and the flavor was ok. Also have tried the burger. It tasted like pre-formed, frozen commercial grade hamburger, taste and texture were ok. The fries are hand cut, but mine were slightly under done. Have not tried their breakfast items yet. Biggest issue they have is staff management, our waitress both times ended up having to also wait on people out of her area, so I had to ask someone to get her to return for refills, etc. Can see where this is an ongoing issue with them. However, we will return.

Wonderful chicken fried steak. My boyfriend and I split it, because its so enormous. Service was slow, but in the waitresses defense, they seemed to be understaffed. Got a side of homemade potato salad, and it was yummy. Everything on the menu seems to be homemade. We will be back.

They were out of biscuits, and kept lying about how long it would take for them. Also, my scramble took forever. When the manager came, he blamed the wait on us by saying, "well weren't you waiting for someone else to get here?" They comped the biscuits, but I wasn't satisfied with the manager's response of, "are you guys really upset?" Unprofessional.

My first time here. Got the cinnamon roll frech toast anf was not disappointed. Service could of been better, but in our servers defense she got quadruple seated, one being a 6 top. But our food was delicious, hot, and promptly served. I will be back , and back, and back

We eat here often on Sundays for brunch. The food is really good, however, I cannot give it more stars because the menu is so boring and limited. Just the basics, nothing special or fancy. If you want eggs or pancakes, it's a good choice. If you want an omelette or eggs benedict, you are out of luck. They brag about how good their meats are, but the sausage isn't very good and the bacon is very mediocre. Other than that it's a good place. Nothing special, but pretty good, solid basic food. I think they will need to revamp their menu if they want to be around for the long term.
