Went in for the first time today. Will be the last. The manager, Jehnai Tasby approaches me and my husband as we are eating our dinner and starts asking 20 questions about our experience there. Really? We go,out to,enjoy a meal and some alone time and you decide to include us in on your in house survey? Really I spent my hard earned money to have you start a conversation we did not want to have? She finally got the hint after I told her I would like to enjoy my meal now. How rude! And how ill mannered could you get ms. Manager? Our servers were doing fine. Were you so bored and had nothing better to do than disrupt patrons meals? Obnoxious and rude! Yeah, maybe you intentions were good but seriously no one is dinning there to have their meal interrupted by you. We listened as she did the same thing to the next table over later on. Good God woman get your self some training in etiquette! Congratulations Jehnai Tasby YOU EARNED THIS BAD REVIEW. I phoned after we got home to get her name. And, I do hope her boss sees this and makes adjustments to this managers roll and behavior in how to treat guests. If someone has a complaint or concern they will call for management. She ruined our dinning experience by her intrusion.

I stopped coming here about a year and a half ago, it was horrible. Poor service, worse food, just dreadful. I heard there was all new management and kitchen staff so I took a chance and visited. I am pleased to say it was much better. Service was fast and efficient, food was great and the manager was clearly visible talking to guests. I will go back and will now recommend to friends and family

Six of us visited Outback Steakhouse for a family dinner. With four adults and two teens, they sat us in a large booth. It was a little snug but we made it work. Robert, our server, came right over to take our drink order. He was knowledgeable about the drink menu and the specials. When Robert brought our drinks, we weren't ready to order, (lots of table talk and catching up). He didn't put any pressure on us and said he'd ne back in bit. After a short while, Robert returned and we started giving our orders. He asked about every option and wasn't thrown by our special requests, (no onions, cheddar instead of swiss, appetizer soup as a meal). When the food arrived, Robert delivered each plate to the proper person. The burger arrived without any cheese instead of the cheddar. The plate was quickly whisked away to remedy the mistake. The burger was quickly returned with the correct cheese. However, dad's steak was over cooked. Robert was notified and another steak as delivered shortly after. The ribs were tender and fell off the bone. The shrimp was tasty and cooked perfectly. Overall we were all happy with our experience. I expect everything to go well at a restaurant. When things don't , I appreciate that corrections handled quickly. This Outback Steakhouse did just that. We had a wonderful experience.

The waitress asked if we were ready to order every 30 seconds. ANNOYING. The waitress also stood there, next to our table and looked at us while we were finishing our appetizers so that she could take the plates. WOW. Who does that?! Finally, you can take a look at the photo posted of the salmon I ordered. It was literally a piece of salmon and a lemon slapped onto a plate. No garnish, nothing. The waitress asked if everything was ok, so I told her that the presentation was lacking, I paid $15 for this miserable looking dish. Neither her, nor the manager thought it looked bad. What can you expect, the waitress looked 16 and the manager was sporting a gold tooth. Go to Longhorn or Texas roadhouse if you want your money's worth. The prices are the same.

The best part of our visit was we were seated right away. Service was really slow. Our water was never refilled. We asked for ketchup for the 3 of us that had fries. She brought us one container that had a tablespoon of ketchup. We ordered a blooming onion. Which was raw. One of us ordered a burger. He got an added surprise. Nice long black hair. I wouldn't recommend this outback.

We hadn't been to Outback in over a year and after stopping at Texas Roadhouse, found out the wait for two was 35-40 minutes, so Outback was our second choice. We got seated right away and knew what we wanted to order without looking at the menu. Our waiter comes by shortly and shoots that plan down by mentioning they are out of the prime rib, the T- Bone Steak, and the Rib eye steak. Well isn't that great, I thought we were in a steakhouse. We look over the menu for 15 minutes or so an finally decide to get a full slab of ribs. Mind you the last time I ordered a full slab of ribs here, be it ever so long ago, the ribs covered my plate from end to end and were hanging off both ends! We ordered a loaded baked potato as one of our sides and mixed veggies as the other. We planned on splitting the meal after we had our salads. Well the slab of ribs came out and it fit nicely in center of the plate. I ask the waiter if that was a full rack and he said yes. It looked more like a piece of truck tire that came off a semi. The whole top was covered with fat. My wife cut into the ribs and sliced my 3 pieces and put them on my plate. She put her 3 pieces on her plate, wait a minute, aren't there more than 6 ribs in a full slab of ribs? I nibbled at my ribs and took 3 small bites and that was it for me. My wife was more persistent or hungry and ate around all the fat. I took mine home to the dogs! I ate my semi-warm baked potato and cold mixed veggies and got the hell out of there. My advice, go to Texas Roadhouse no matter how long the wait is!

Seated quickly, order taken in timely fashion. Slow to serve, and the well-done ordered steak came out bleeding. This is where they became losers. It was sent back with the server to cook to order, and surprisingly came back out just a few minutes later - with managerial inspection and interrogation now breathing over my shoulder (along with the unspoken 'how dare you say we cooked it wrong' attitude) waiting for me to cut into the rubbery - obviously *MICROWAVED* and now lousy, worthless piece of meat. This is an understated testimony to Outback Topeka not knowing what they are doing. At all. One of the places we will never set foot into ever again, nor should you. (Don't believe me? Look at their other reviews...)

We had been warned not to bother with the Outback in Topeka. (Another franchise that I like....not living up to it's normal reputation). We had out-of-town visitors that wanted to eat here. It was going to be a busy dining night so we headed over early. Got there just before 5. There were 7 of us (and a few of us aren't that tiny) and they tried to push us into a booth for 6 even though there were several large round tables for 8. We looked at the server and just said "no way"....and asked why we couldn't be seated at the tables for 8. She said the manager wanted them to be saved for groups of 8 or 9 that "might" come in later. "Might"????????? We were there right now!!! She agreed to seat us where we had plenty of room. The server was pleasant. The food was OK. Portions have definitely gotten smaller over the years while the price has remained constant. Several orders were missing some side dishes. We never got that straightened out. By the way, the other table for 8 was vacant almost our entire meal. So much for saving it for a larger party that "might" show up. We won't be there. There are other locations in Topeka that serve an awesome onion appetizer and steaks. Too bad. :(

We have not been to an Outback in quite awhile, but decided to give it a try because we were craving a good steak. Let's just say that from start to finish, our dining experience was fantastic. We were seated quickly, our server was fabulous and very professional and knowledgeable and the food was perfection. I really wish I could remember the gentleman's name that served us (Brandon maybe?). Anyways we gladly left him a 50% tip as we were very impressed. We be back for sure!

I had the lamb and it was cooked perfectly. The manager stopped by and entertained my discussion on using Yelp as a tool for recognizing the strong and weak points of the establishment. She even said she was going to recommend it to the customers and staff which I thought was great. I will return to see if she implemented it sometime in the near future.

I have been in Topeka for 14 months on business and find Outback to be one of the best restuarants in Topeka. The fish is high quality and from the ocean, not farm raised like it is at Longhorns. Frequent Specials are good value. My biggest criticism is the bread could be better tasting, but at least it is fresh and warm. The multiple TV's let you keep on the game. Nice Job! Staff and Management are friendly.
