Located on a little strip mall next to a Target this place is worth visiting. I paid $9 for a lunch special Kung Pao shrimp with a H&S soup and egg roll and a coke. Everything was delicious and everyone was super friendly. I'll definitely stop by when I'm in the area again.

I used to go there frequently. Overall, the food is good, and the prices are low. I've stopped going there, however, as some of the staff have a tendency to be curt and rude with their customers. Even a simple order without modifications - your basic transaction in a restaurant - oftentimes elicited an eye roll. It seems their customers are more of a hassle to them than a basic necessity for the health of their business. So, I've taken the hint and stopped going there.

This place is pretty good. The price/portion ratio is excellent! The ambiance is a little interesting, because it's got a fast food/ fine dining vibe and it's pretty small. The food is fresh and flavorful and is served quickly. Not a bad place all in all!

I do like this place, but don't go that often because I always spend too much. Their portions are larger than a lot of places, so the prices are a little higher. Best thing about this place? It's clean. Seriously, how many Chinese restaurants in the metro area are really sick-gross-dirty-icky? Lots. This place is always really friendly; I was greeted by 3 people tonight, but not in a pushy sorta way. Plus, I'm so stuffed right now and still have about 2 meals left out of my leftovers from one entree.

Finalllllyyyyy, found a good chinese food place. All the other one's around us are not good. This place was awesome. They cooked the food when we ordered. Food wasn't sitting around in a buffet.

We had a very late dinner there tonight and everything was fine. I ordered the Seafood Delight and my husband ordered the Kung Pao shrimp & scallops ($10.95/each). The food was very fresh, it all tasted really good, and we could probably have gotten a second meal out of the portions. The server (a young man) was pleasant. Also, my husband said the men's restroom was very clean.

Not bad. I love their spring and egg rolls. They also give large portions so you get your money's worth.

The place is small, but clean. The food is fresh and outstanding. This is officially our go-to place for dinner before sand volleyball.

We have been here a few times and the food is always yummy and the service very prompt and efficient. Tonight I had cashew chicken - with actual cashews in it! So many places you find two or three in the entire dish; but Grand Wok had a good handful in there. The servers are patient with children and are accommodating with splitting meals, etc. The portion sizes are just right. We will come back!

This Place Rocks and you can order online. Great ingredients none of that crappy meat found in typical Chinese places. Will be back for sure and highly recommend this place!

I really want to love this place. I just can't. This will be the fourth time I have tried it. The one thing I do love is the hot and sour soup. It is spicy and has a large amount of assorted whatsits and so-called vegetables, but it's flavorful. I have ordered the kong pao chicken, the cashew chicken twice, and the sesame chicken. All three tasted like the other. Just small chunks of chicken, vegetables sauteed in soy sauce, and an unnecessary amount of cashews/peanuts. I would go somewhere else if I were you. I will not be going back. What a shame Grand Wok , you could have been great.

This place gets a 5 star rating because I've ordered about a dozen things and all of them have been good enough to order again. None of it was the best I've ever had but I love it. It is hard to beat their Rangoon's, so that is about as good as it gets. Their pad Thai with chicken (ask for super spicy) is also hard to beat in Kansas City.

I was pleasantly surprised to find this great little Chinese restaurant right next to Target. Got takeout and found the food to be as good as that served in higher end restaurants. Unlike a lot of other takeout or smaller joints, the vegetables were very fresh and cooked just right, and the food wasn't over-salted. The price was right and the servings very generous. The service was also great - friendly and efficient. I think I will become a regular here!!

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
