I am not a regular correspondent on Yelp (or any social media for that matter) ( get off my lawn!!!) but really want to give this restaurant a bump. Four Season's pizza is among the very best in the KC metro. The crust is perfection itself, not overly thick but yet not paper thin...very reminiscent of the finest you would find in New York. The toppings are of the highest quality and generous; the sauce is sublime. The medium size is nearly the size as many large pies from other pizzerias. Were Four Season's located in Crossroads or Mission or the 135th Street corridors there would be lines around the block and two hour waits for carry out for these piazzas . But alas, the lonely strip mall at 78th and Quivera is not the most inviting location and I fear that this may be an deterrent to some. Overcome any geographic apprehensions and try this pizza!!!

I enjoyed the pizza slice, side salad, and drink lunch special ($6.95). The side salad included my choice of three toppings, and choice of dressing. My "everything counts" pizza slice was ready in about five minutes. It had plenty of toppings, plenty of flavor, and a delicious thin crust, without being greasy. The service was friendly, and the dining area was clean. Nicely done!

This place serves high quality, authentic food. Pizza is delicious- crust is hand tossed and wood-fired, giving it a nice crisp and chew. We also tried a pizza roll that was delicious. Desserts are great too.

Glad to see smaller business owners doing well in my town! The stromboli and white pizza were both good but when I go back I'm trying the lasagne or more pasta. My wife had spaghetti with shrimp scampi...tried it... I wanted to eat it all. Also a big yes to their tiramisu.

We had the bruschetta and vegetarian pizza. Bruschetta was amazingly flavored and I can not describe the crust- thin but not too thin, crispy at the edges- perfect New York style pizza. I need to try the cannoli- have heard great things about it. Definitely going back!

We rolled in here on a Friday night with 5 of us looking to carbo load before our half/full marathons the next day. This place was decently priced, had good reviews, and was nearby so why not! Being a Friday night, the inside had maybe 6 people when we arrived and maxed out at maybe 12 people- although we noticed they had a ton of takeout orders so that's always a good sign. They had actual Italian people working here which is also a great sign. The food here was good...not remarkable....and pretty cheap, too. Pizza by the slice was $2.50-$3/each and I got a pasta bolognese for about $7. After the pasta bolognese (which tasted like an authentic pasta bolognese with carrots, red wine and all) I was still hungry and ordered a slice of pizza AND some tiramisu. The tiramisu was only $3.50/slice which is relatively cheap compared to other places. So for about $13 I got a complete meal and carbo loaded plenty before my race. The only downside is that the service seemed extremely disorganized. One person in our party got her food far sooner than everyone else and was practically finished by the time our food arrived (although we all ordered relatively the same time). So in summary... Food 4.5 stars Service 3.5 stars Value 5 stars Great pizza joint to take your family to since it's cheap and tasty. If we're in KC and need a quick bite, we will definitely be back!

Excellent food, excellent and kind service, incredible price! Looooved the white spinach pizza as well as the combo. The crust is amazing. We will be back.....and soon!

Love this place - prices are low & quality is high - this guy knows what he's doing. The pizza is to die for, I've had 5 or 6 pies here and they're perfect every time. The antipasto salad is so authentic and he only uses the freshest and best ingredients - you can tell that in everything they do here - top quality, the best!

Absolutely, without a doubt, hands down, lights out....the BEST authentic Italian, gem restaurant. Our family decided to give this place a chance for Valentines Day and it was the best decision we could have made. Everyone in line was raving about the food. One woman swore by the after effects of the cannoli. I ordered the Italian Sub and my hubby ordered the Sicilian pizza. The sub was the perfect crunch fresh tasting bread with perfect balance of delicious Italian meats. I didn't speak until it was gone. My husbands pizza was so amazing I also ate two pieces! It was perfectly layered with just the right amount of sauce and toppings and the bread.... There's just something sensual about the bread. Then...came...dessert... I of course ordered the cannoli...how else do you judge good Italian food? Leave the gun... Take the cannoli... And my husband and son ordered the Four Seasons ... Nutella...marshmallow...and the bread... Need I say more? Rhetorical... I've been around... At least with how many cannolis I have endured...nothing holds a candle to how I felt after my first bite. If you can't feel when you eat....why eat? I dare you to try it ... And tell me you didn't feel.

Pizza is great. Wish this place was in a more traveled area so they had more traffic in and put the door. The bruschetta is a must try. You can tell it is made fresh. This place is a must try!

EAT HERE! Oh my gosh, this place is a fantastic hidden gem that I've just discovered. Why isn't everyone eating here? OK, let's start with their pasta... great. Homemade, authentic, tasty, and cheap. I guess my biggest complaint is that they don't have more variety. And the meat sauce was pretty dry on its own. The pesto linguini was amazing, although I wish it had something else in it. Chicken, maybe? Oh well, didn't stop me from ordering again. The ziti is fantastic. Sandwiches: I LOVE their Italiano sub. I could eat it for every meal. I have to admit it's only my second favorite behind Corollo's, but there's no shame in finishing second to that one. Especially when the location is much closer. I watched the employee carefully prepare my sandwich. Warning: it's not fast. It took about ten minutes, but only because everything was so meticulously prepared. A lot of care went into it and it totally paid off! Other than that, I've tried the meatball parmesan, and I have to say that it was kind of underwhelming. The meatballs themselves are a bit disappointing compared to the quality of everything else. Pizza: I'm a little bit of the belief that we don't have any truly great pizza in KC, but this is pretty damn good pizza. White spinach is my favorite. The Sicilian pizza and stromboli looked really good to try next time. Dessert: Best cannoli I've ever eaten!!! Finally, the service is very friendly and the owners are real, pure-bred Italians! It might take a little while to prepare your food, but with good reason. They put a lot of care into their food and it shows. Besides, just call in your order in advance. I hope more people can discover this amazing little place so they can continue to feed me!

Great pizza! Love this place, even the wings are good here. Everyone there is friendly too. More people need to know about this place!

First of all, the staff is extremely friendly and they really make you feel like family; I like that cozy atmosphere. As for food, I had a cannoli and a slice of pizza. The cannoli was the most delicious thing I've had. The shell wasn't hard like it's been sitting on the shelf for days, and the filling was perfectly creamy and just the right amount of sweet. The pizza was good too, and it was also a very good value. One slice was more than enough to fill me up. I will definitely be back when I happen to be in this part of town!

Oooooey, Gooooooey Pizza Yumminess. Best in KC. Go for the New York thin crust. I can't help but get the White Spinach pizza every time. Even my non-veggie carnivore husband loves it. Order it by the slice or pie. The large is huge. Sorry, but in this instance size does matter. Great value and leftovers for breakfast?! Smells, friendly service are free!!

Chose to dine here on a hunch, a hunch and the multitude of positive yelp reviews. I highly recommend that you do the same. Very good, friendly service. Great food. I had a fantastic tasting sausage roll, the wife had a strombolli that she enjoyed, and my sister had the white pizza. Their white pizza is the best white pizza I've ever had! And don't forget to get a cannoli or two before you leave.

This locally owned Italian restaurant was exactly what we were looking for. You can't go wrong eating here. I enjoyed the Everything Counts pizza and the meat ravioli. The pizza crust was perfectly crisp. You can tell they use quality, fresh ingredients. Desserts were excellent (tiramisu & four seasons special) and are made in-house. Service was a little slow, but it was still a great experience. Friendly staff.

This spot has restaurants come and go faster than anywhere else I've ever seen. I really like Nick's that was here before so my hubby and I decided to give this place a try. It was fine. Not great, not bad. Honestly, if I want a slice of pizza for lunch I'd be more likely to go across the street and get one from Casey's than come back here. My husband had the stromboli though and it was good. The salad was fresh and yummy.

Real Sicilians cooking real fresh Italian food here. Great pizza and fresh made pasta. Friendly service and nice portion sizes and value. Worth the drive. If you need a quick bite, they have pizza by the slice ready, otherwise your pizza will be made to order and baked until it's crust and cheese are Italian-approved. One of the best pizzas I've had in KC.

This is THE best Pizza in KC, if you know pizza. If you think that Minsky's or Papa John's is the real deal, then ignore this post. Crust is real, cheese is real. And just like in Italy, the pizza is in a window and they heat it up for you. Thank you

Some of the nicest staff I have ever had the pleasure of being served by. The pizza is really some of the best I've had around town and the subs are just as good! My wife said it was the best Taramisu she's had here in Kansas.

Food is great - very fresh and flavorful with good variety. The service doesn't get any better. The staff are inviting, friendly, and truly care about customer service. I would eat there again for the service, alone. But I'll definitely be back for the pizza and fresh salad :) I would highly recommend to anyone for a (fairly) quick lunch or casual dinner.

Occupying the same location as the former Nick's Italian Pizza in Lenexa at 77th and the west side of Quivira, Four Seasons Pizza and Pasta recently opened with standard offering of pizza (New York style), pasta, sandwiches and salads. Being the pizza aficionado that I am, and being this is in our general neighborhood, we decided to give it a try. If you look at my former review of Nick's, the family and I were fairly impressed with his version of NY pizza. Well, have no fear pizza fans, Four Seasons Pizza and Pasta is carrying a great new tradition of pizza in the Kansas City area that is not your typical Midwestern crisp/cracker thin crust. Four Seasons is the real deal. The interior of the restaurant is somewhat Spartan (no noticeable changes from Nick's), but it's clean and it does the job if you are going to stay and eat. The employees are nice, eager to please and earn your business. We ordered a medium Calabrese pizza with a couple of side salads and soft drinks. The side salads were just the right size - not a small bowl with a few pieces of lettuce and a couple of croutons, but not so big you can't eat anything else. The side salads are made with your choice of 3 toppings from over a dozen items to choose from, and your choice of dressing (about 6 choices). Enough about the salad. The main attraction for us was the pizza. The Calabrese came with sweet Italian sausage, mushrooms, an Italian salami, and some added olive oil. The medium is 18-inches. To start off, it is a chewy, New York style crust that has good flavor - thin with a thicker outer crust (cornicione), and foldable, if that is your desire. The sauce is flavorful with the right amount of herbs and enough to know it is definitely there without being overpowering. The cheese is good, smooth, silky mozzarella with a nice, fresh flavor of its own. Together, the entire pizza-flavor-orchestra is divine and delicious. I am ready to go back and try another set of toppings, as well as one their sandwiches. They also offer standard Italian-American fare, like pasta dishes (e.g., spaghetti, lasagna), pizza rolls, calzones, stromboli, and so on. Get there soon and give Four Seasons a try. Maybe you'll pay a few bucks more than some fast-food slop you have delivered, but you will also get what you pay for, which is great food.

This place is a definite keeper! We went there with a group of seniors on a Monday evening. The owners bent over backward to please us. They are from Italy and do they know how to cook! The pizza crust is hand tossed and fantastic. Salads are fresh and the dressings are homemade. Dessert was to die for! Others in our group raved about the lasagne and pastas. Julio, we love your restaurant and look forward to our return! Mike and Susan T.

Very casual atmosphere but the pizza, salads, and gyros are outstanding. I will have to try the pasta next. There are no frills; most of the items are served on plastic ware, but the service and food are fabulous. The staff are so friendly and helpful with authentic Italian accents as well. No wonder it is so delicious! The pizza crust and the pita bread are my favorite in the area, especially for the price. I will definitely be going back.

Seriously ridiculous gluten free pizza! And the staff was really sweet! My new favorite pizza place!

Pros; - local small business not a chain - Great pizza, ranks right with my other favorite pizza in the joco area which i won't name out of respect to this business - Friendly good service, unlike the chain pizza places they actually seem to care how your pizza turns out. -pizza / $ ratio, at first glance you might think they're over priced since the large is much more than a large at some other places, but compare the size of the pizza!!! the Large is much larger than most pizza places larges so of course it costs more. they are NOT overpriced Cons: -the dining area is very boring and bland, nothing special or fancy while dining in. - the calzones etc aren't nearly as good as the pizza in my opinion...which is strange for me to say The negatives for this place are very minor but I do have a couple suggestions for the owners (my 2 cents); - lunch special, drop the salad do 2 slices and a soda for 5.99 and i bet employees from local businesses will find you and become regulars because your pizza is very good - Lunch special on entire pizzas for groups of people eating together or maybe a punch card system buy X amount of pizzas get 1/2 off a pizza or something to inspire repeat business and keep people from going to a competitor. **** EDIT***** They do have a punch card program, my co worker jsut corrected me**** I love your pizza, gave it 5 stars please don't take this as a negative review, I hope the pizza stays great and we'll be back many more times I'm sure.

Pros: The staff is relatively nice and the food is pretty good tasting Cons: they have pizza slices sitting out and they get cold, so they have to put it back in the oven to reheat it. Your pizza can get burnt from the reheat!

Excellent food and service. Price is reasonable for what you get. Callzone and pizza are hot and satisfying the pasta dishes are huge Great for lunch

Well, made another stop here a couple days ago. This time tried the Italiano sandwich. Amazing. Warm, crusty bread, fresh veg, great salami. Seriously great.

Pizza, calzones and other food here is amazing. Nice ambience and the service is so friendly. The seasonings they use on the pizza take theirs to the next level - world class and I've had it all - NY, Chicago, etc. Even better, they make gluten free pizza!! Definitely worth checking out. I'm addicted.

I worked with Four Seasons to cater a party. They are great. The pasta is wonderful and they make every effort to take care of you. I haven't had the pizza yet, but that will change soon. Julio, the owner, is a prince. The location is historically bad for restaurants. This place needs to live. Go, and then, tell your friends.

  • Nate L.

Simple and fresh ingredients, great flavor, crust was crispy and well browned on the outside and chewy on the inside, just like it should be. The crust is house made and was hand tossed to order by the owner who is from Italy! Only thing I would change is that I wanted the cheese more browned on top and not just melted. Also it's cool to see a local pizza place and not a chain. Will def go back and want to try pastas/pizza rolls!

    (4)
  • Madeline L.

Amazing, fresh pizza! The owner actually hand tosses the pizza dough. Every pizza is made to order! The ingredients are all fresh and it tastes great! I had the white spinach and it was one of the best pizzas I've ever had!! They even serve gluten free!

  • Jon U.

Hands down the best NY style pizza in town if not the best overall. Everyone from the owners down to the guys working the counter are incredibly friendly and you can tell they really take a lot of pride in their business. The location isn't very good, not a lot of businesses have survived in that spot over the years. The atmosphere is also ho hum but it doesn't matter because the pizza is top-notch. All the ingredients are fresh and the crust is crispy and chewy just like it should be. Prices are fair, especially for the quality of food you're getting. I don't see this place getting a lot of business, probably because of the location, so do them and yourself a favor and buy their pizza. I work close by and would be devastated if they closed down.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
