I have been on a DQ binge lately. Sadly I am finding a lot of locations have closed. Like other locations I am a fan of the twist cone and the pup cups. I like soft serve and the combo of flavors beats all other soft serve options for me.

Update - They do offer cherry dipped (chocolate and butterscotch too) now. It's definitely not as good as I remember. The cherry flavored tasted more like cough syrup. I should have stuck with a Blizzard. But as I waited in line I realized they sold food. Why bother? It's all microwaved and no fries or onion rings; just chips. The employees were still friendly even with a lot of people waiting in line.

Pretty standard Dairy Queen - it's not huge, but it meets my occasional need for a Blizzard just fine. And it's relatively close by! I do think their mix-ins for the Blizzards seem to be somewhat limited (there were only 5 or so candies listed, along with the other options, and I seem to recall other places have some different/additional candies that you can choose), but they had M&Ms and Snickers, which is what I wanted, and mint Oreos, which is what my husband wanted, so we were happy. I'm definitely a fan of the mini Blizzard size, as it's pretty much perfect for me. I can get my Blizzard fix in one go instead of freezing half, which is what I usually do if I order a small. I also was able to get my Blizzard made with chocolate ice cream instead of vanilla without being made to feel odd for ordering it that way. There was a fairly sizeable line when we arrived on a hot Saturday afternoon, but even with only 2 staff members they were able to get everyone served quickly and accurately. I'll be back the next time a Blizzard craving hits.

MMMM! I have a confession.... I am an ice creamaholic, its an addiction.....a habit, I aint kickin. If I could ice cream everyday, I would. Is it unhealthy to think about all the wonderous flavors every day of your life???? -- ok confession time over. I LOVE THE BIG DQ, it feeds my habit. When they came out with the mini blizzard, I thought a piece of heaven just fell from the sky and into my mouf! HOLLAH! Ok this location I like, they are clean, everything is up to par, the workers are very friendly, even when the line is out the door, This is a good location (believe me, Ive been to some nasty ones) Maybe Ill see you there!

No drive through but lots of cakes to order. And they make good Pepsi Freezes. And customers can ask for a free pet ice cream cup!

My husband really, really wanted a butterscotch dipped cone, just like the ones he remembered from his local dairy freeze as a kid. After calling around, I learned that this DQ location carried the elusive request. The store is small and in a strip mall. No drive thru (not a problem, just an FYI). There was a long line from the register (like us, other people hoping to have a cool, refreshing treat to stave off the hot summer afternoon). The line moved rather quickly and we were served in a timely manner. The ladies running the counter were busy but friendly. I was, however, shocked when I read the menu. Before we got there I decided that I would get a DQ hamburger (I hadn't had one since college); imagine my surprise to learn that this DQ doesn't have a grill or fryer (read: no burgers, no fries)! Only hot dogs and chips on the lunch menu. What? My husband didn't enjoy his dipped cone, we both though it WAY TOO SWEET. And by way too sweet, I mean, WOW way too sweet. Will we go back? We'll keep looking for another butterscotch dipped cone.
