Really good mexican and i live in san diego! Pleasant decor, reasonable prices, fantastic guacamole...probably the best restaurant in Parsons.

The salsa is amazing! The restaurant is pretty small and the locals do love it---- which can make the wait long. You can't eat outside - which makes not sense in the summer. And you can't eat in the bar... Which can just make your wait seem longer. But - it's always good. The white cheese sauce is great! And they have a few things that aren't on the menu for kiddos- so just ask. Cathy, the owner, works there almost everyday - and I love to see the staff all sit down around 10pm and eat together. It's truly and family own and operated restaurant. Everything is made fresh daily at the establishment. (the firemen just down the block tell me they can smell it cooking at 5am.)

Beware! Extra plate is a whopping $2.29 extra. I downgraded the Restaurant for that. Otherwise the staff was friendly and the chili relleno was good if bland. Chips nice and crispy and white queso superb. Beware here too as white is more expensive than yellow. The house margarita was excellent and not too sweet

An absolute gem. INSANE SALSA. INSANE! Family owned & operated. They make everything from scratch every day- even have to close down between lunch and dinner to prep again! Absolutely spot-on authentic rice & beans made just right, incredible enchiladas- shredded beef & chicken, and authentic chili rellenos are real standouts. Limitless DELICIOUS chips and salsa. White cheese dip is wonderful & guacamole is always fresh. Burritos & chimichangas are huge, but I think their lovely ingredients are best showcased on dinner combo plates. The one kind of inauthentic item that I LOVE is the chicken quesadilla- (and I don't order those anywhere!) They are HUGE, filled with tender juicy braised chicken, tons of cheese, and they use a jalapeño spice in it that is just unforgettable! I've also been lucky to be by when they have pork verde? on special which I got in crisp corn tacos and it might have been my favorite Mexican food meal of all time. In my opinion, this place is not just good for locals, it would stand out anywhere! And just the sweetest, most genuine & thoughtful service. Heaven.

The Locals Regard it As best Tex-Mex In the city if not Labette County.

Very good Mexican food. Not super authentic but still very yummy. Their white queso is to die for. I get cravings for it, they also allow you to basically smoother anything on the menu with it. Which I actually do. The fajitas are a little underwhelming as well as their tacos. If you were going I would go for the Monterrey or their burritos. If you are in Parsons this is the restaurant to try out,

Usually a long wait, which means it is good! Fantastic salsa! Can't get enough of the super hot! Great food!

Food was just as bad as the service. Waitress was very rude and short. Food was old and nasty. McDonald's is like a five star restaurant compared to this place.

That was the sorriest excuse for TeX Mex EVER. The salsa tasted terrible. Way too salty. The burrito had hardly any flavor. The chimichanga was ok. The taquitos were hard as a rock. The rice was bland. The beans were...well...beans. Save your money and go to taco bell. But I guess for those who've never tasted Mexican food, I'm sure this would be the bees knees. But alas, it's in Kansas. What did I really expect?

It is good, and we have eaten there many times, but the last few times it has been very salty. Great chips. Good service.

They've always been nice, speedy, and reliable. Ate here a couple of times during my work trips. Enjoyed some take out too (they don't do call ins on weekends). Everything has always been right. First time the lady gave me some salsa for free because she felt that I really needed to try it...she wasn't wrong. It was great! I love getting the shredded chicken and beef enchiladas. They're so good. The Queso dip is on point too. Would recommend. Only place I eat when I'm in Parsons.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
