Ten minutes. That's how long we sat at a table next to the hostess stand. I finally asked the same hostess that sat us if anybody worked in this section and could they please come by and take our order? At 11 minutes we went to The Salty Iguana and it was awesome. They had people there whose job was to take your order and everything.

I know this sounds catty, but this is supposed to be one of the draws of the place so here goes: The ladies at Twin Peaks Olathe are way hotter! That being said, our service was fine, no complaints, our food (fish and chips and nachos) was very good but not amazing. I really did not see much on the menu that absolutely jumped out at me as something that I just have to get the next time we are here.

Ok, we all know why the Tilted Kilt is in business so let's first rate the girls. The girls are young and most are cute, but based on two visits the girls frequently huddle around each other talking and are not interacting enough with the customers. That's not good. Now the manager, there's a guy manager with arm tattoos that was flat out rude. He's lucky I didn't get in his face. The atmosphere is not interesting beyond the girls running around. The TV's aren't very good and they didn't have the broadcast playing over the speakers but instead had lame music playing. I went to watch a game and it's annoying watching a game but not hearing it. Next, the tables are low tops, they nwed to be high top tables so it engages conversation and more movement. Lastly, the prices are way too high. My buddy ordered a pint of boulevard wheat and it's was $6 and my wrap with fries with tax was over $11. Needless to say, I won't go back for a third visit. I give this place less than two years then corporate will either decide to close it or be too embarrassed to close it and will keep losing money for appearances. Oh, I should say I bartended for 8 years so I have experience in this industry.

That was rough. Ticket time for lunch was 45 minutes for half the table and another 10 minutes for the other half. Even one guy never got the food he ordered. Just rough.

I wish I had read the reviews before coming to this establishment!! Being from the DC metro region we do not have a TK near us. I truly wanted to like this place but just could not. We were greeted by a bubbly hostess and brought to a table right next to the other 6 customers in the building, had to ask to move to a table where we could stretch out a bit. Our waitress came asked for drinks and left, just going through the motions. walking around the place we found out it was their "Grand Opening" with jack Daniels on special. Bottom line is I ended up paying $12 for a Makers and diet instead of $4.75 for a Jack and diet. They did give me a free jack and diet but we were already done with the meal and ready to go. My first experience with TK did not make me want to come back, it is very evident the management of this particular TK is lacking, the person I went with has been to several in many different states and said this was by far the worst he has been to. FOOD - adequate Environment - adequate Service - Fair POTENTIAL-sky is the limit but not with the current business practices.

Great scenery and selection of brews, food could most definitely use some help. Other than that was ok.

Terrible service. Our food was served at all different times, tabs were wrong, took 30 minutes to get a glass of water! We won't be back, very disappointed. They were awful.

I have been to this Tilted Kilt location twice now and having been to other locations around the country I can contrast them a bit. To start off with, the building is new so everything is nice and clean and unmarred. The food I have had in this location is about on our with most bar type food in the area, maybe a little dry. I would put it a solid 5 out of 10. There is definitely room for improvement here but it is not awful or inedible. I don't really drink, so I can't comment on the alcohol or bar service, but the drinks I ordered were always delivered promptly and refilled within a reasonable amount of time. The waitress would check back fairly regularly but not too often, I would give them an A in that category. The service and food, when compared to other TK locations, is again a solid 5. Not the greatest, not the worst. There is a lot of work to be done to be one of the best TK locations for sure. Althoug the manager of the day did come around at each visit and ask how things were, which I think is a fantastic managerial decision that more places should adopt if they are serious about improvements. Now, the main attractor of a place like this is the girls. That's where this TK falls a bit short. However I don't ding this TK on that as much as I would a TK in a different city. KC unfortunately has a very shallow pool of attractive women to draw from and I would imagine an even shallower pool of women who would work at this type of establishment, so it may be a case of the hiring manager doing the best they can with what they have to work with. That's not to say the women are unattractive , they are just average when compared to other locations. However one thing they could work on is their enthusiasm. They typically don't seem to be too enthused to be working... I mean who is? But one of the things I like about other TK locations is the boisterous nature of the serving wenches. Even if they are faking it elsewhere, they are convincing. They don't even appear to be trying too hard here. Again, this is not to say the service is bad or they have a negative attitude, because they don't. They just have the same attitude you find with a waitress in Perkins or Dennys. All in all, this location is fine for a quick lunch and a little bit of eye candy, but if you want an experience like other TK locations you will be disappointed. At least the ladies here don't look like lumberjack lesbians at the Peaks... So that's something.

I'm giving them 2 stars because our server was great. The food was horrible and bland. My burger had zero flavor. It was so bad that even with cheese and guacamole I had to put salt and pepper to give it any flavor. If you're going there for the scenery.....you might be disappointed at that too. Let this place die on the vine like every other restaurant in that location.

I've been to Tilted Kilts all over the country. I always enjoy the atmosphere, the food and the "scenery". This particular TK fails on all levels. ALL the bartenders were guys. The waitresses that were on the floor seemed generally p#!?%ed off that they were there. The food tasted like it came out of the cooler at Quik Trip and thrown in a microwave. Considering Hooters & Twin Peaks are nearby and have significantly better food, customer service and girls, I don't see this place lasting very long unless things change.

I successfully infiltrated a guys night out in a group of 8. Let's start off with the topic of girls...because that's probably one of the reasons why you came right? Right. Hooters definitely has more attractive girls. This establishment is a bit on the new side and it just feels like they hired the first girls that applied. I am not by any means a mean girl, but they're a bit on the rougher side. Our server was sweet but as equally awkward. Service is slow; be forewarned. You want another drink? When you're about two-thirds done with your glass, go ahead and ask for another. Otherwise, it'll probably be about 15 minutes between beverages. I had two of the Purple Haze and they were delicious! Almost like liquefied sweet-tarts in a glass. Food is pretty standard bar. I munched on the TK Irish Nachos and they were nothing to write home about. We went for the beer cheese on top...and it tasted like regular movie nacho cheese. Nothing special here but bland meat, a few tomatoes, and some cheese on kettle like chips. I want to leave one star but I know there are kinks to be worked out. It's new and of course, nothing is perfect. Hope they can get into a better flow of service.

First timers at TK tonight and our server was great! She was MUCH friendlier than the Hooters waitresses. Also, the TK menu was superior to the fried junk dished out at Hooters. Nice to have cloth napkins instead of a roll of cheap paper towels on the table. We will be back. Ask for Natalia.

It's a great sports bar-lots of TV's. The food is good -not great but it's good bar food. Lots of space at a large bar. It's new so maybe that's why some of the reviews have been bad about service. The shepards pie is about a 4...needs some gravy. They do have a very good pastrami sandwich with sweet potato fries. The kilt girls were friendly and like all these types of establishments....it kind of is what it is. A step up from hooters - food is a little better than twin peaks. Update-try talking during a big game here...management must think we all have hearing aids. Went to two big games during March basketball. Was impossible to enjoy with the sound so loud. I don't mind loud-but this was ridiculous-food not as good either. Been there three times and the beer selection is great-but really a three star joint considering all the other great dining places around.

I had the black bean wrap, which was good, but the server had no idea it was on the menu. The server also took a while to show up, and wasn't around much, didn't even give us a silverware or a beer menu. After waiting, when I went to the neighboring table to pick them up, the beer menu turned out to be quite unnecessary. There wasn't a beer that I couldn't get from any garden variety supermarket. Some Pub! To it's credit, it has nice decor. But what good is decor without any kind of an atmosphere or service? I'd really like them to improve. I might check it out again at some point, but not in the near future.

Just finished dinner here, and at best the food is marginal, small portions and somewhat bland. Our waitress was attentive and did her best but it was easy to tell she was not hired for her serving ability. If you are a 25 year old male that frequents this place I'm sure the service is good, but everyone else is second string.

Haven't even eaten yet but my husband and I waited a ridiculously long time to have anyone acknowledge us, it's TUESDAY this place is not packed. It especially sucks that there were THREE people behind the bar (yes at the bar). I understand the girls are supposed to entertain (I was a Hooter's girl years ago) but look around, ask if someone wants a water. Say hello, something! We had to flag down a bar back that immediately greeted a couple that walked up to the bar directly next to us....really!? If I weren't so hungry I would have walked out. As a great tipper I'm really trying to convince myself to tip our waitress anything at all. Unacceptable.

Have to agree with the group. Been to several TK's around the U.S. and this one is clearly in last place. Disappointing. They do not have the business model dialed in and are substandard even for like competition in the area. I know it's new and all but at some point the training wheels need to come off. It will fail if it stays on this trajectory.

The food here is the worst of the worst of bar food. Everything appeared to come out of a frozen package, including the hamburger.. Twin Peaks has same atmosphere with much better food.

This was quite possibly the worst dining experience I've ever had- and that's saying something! I met a friend there, and everything was going fairly smoothly until we ordered our food. We both ordered entrees, and I ordered the pretzel app to munch on while we waited. When they arrived, it was two tiny pre-frozen pretzels, and a thimbleful of lousy cheese sauce. It took about 25 minutes after we the app came to get our entrees. My friends order was correct, but mine was obviously not what I ordered. Since I hadn't seen our waitress since we order the app, I started looking around for her. And looking. And looking. It took at least 10-15 minutes for her to get back to the table, and when I told her that wasn't what I ordered, she said "you're right", grabbed the plate and took off. I didn't see her again for another 30 minutes when she brought the correct order. My friend had been done eating for quite some time when I finally got my correct order. I had asked him how his food was, and he said "alright". His must have been much better than mine. I have had frozen dinners that were more flavorful. I was never offered anything for all the troubles. I usually never accept anything, but as poor as the service and food was, I might have on this occasion. Here's the kicker of the night- While I was looking around and waiting for the correct order to come, one of the other girls stopped by the table and said that she had seen me come in, and wanted me to know that I could be a model. She was obviously sent over by a manager ( I assume one was there- I never saw one). He must have noticed that all the cleavage there wasn't providing enough distraction to overcome the poor service, which is what they are obviously hoping for. This was the biggest joke of the night, as I am a middle-aged, normal looking guy with a receding hairline that was wearing a clearance rack shirt and clearance rack jeans. Needless to say, I will not be a repeat customer.

I can't understand what some of these reviews are talking about. And I'm the one wearing glasses! Lol. Anyway, the food is flavorful. I had the "inferno burger". Very nice. Their tilted sauce is basically a watery buffalo. So, 1 star deducted for that. Our waitress was Melodie. Cool chick.

Hooters meets the highlands. Above average bar food with lots of TV's to watch sports. The beer selection was good too

My husband and I have visited this restaurant several times. The servers are wonderful and caring. We've gotten to know several of them; don't let the outfits fool you - they are knowledgeable and real people who truly care not only about their jobs but what is going on outside of Tilted Kilt. Unfortunately, the chef is limited due to corporate requirements; too bad as he has talent. We love to come here and just unwind and watch sports.
