Since this is a chain restaurant, I'll keep it short. This place just recently opened next to Johnny's Tavern. I went yesterday and got a gyro (Mediterranean seasoned beef/lamb) with jap chips. I personally enjoyed it. I think they make a good pita, and considering you can stuff the thing with veggies until it's about to burst; it's a good value. I can eat a fair amount, and for $8.50 I was stuffed. The service was meh, but I suppose that is to be expected as they are going through growing pains with new employees. Also, they gave me a couple coupons for a Pita Combo for $1 upon my next return. A nice gesture, and a great way to ensure I'll be back.

I dropped in for a quick lunch and ordered the Philly steak. The disorganization was fun to watch as it appeared to be sandwich by committee. At the counter I told the man what I wanted and how I wanted it dressed. A minute or two later I was asked, by a different staff member if I wanted white or wheat. A couple of minutes later I was asked by yet a third person how I wanted it dressed and if I wanted cheese. Finally the sandwich was presented by a forth and final person. As far as the sandwich went, it was nothing special, what one of the other reviewers referred to as "food court food".

This is a review based off of Pita Pit delivery: I ordered a pita and a mango tango smoothie. The pita was chicken based with some other fixings. The smoothie was good and the wrap was also good. To sum this place up: a large potion of food in an unusual way + any toppings or sauces you want. It's like a Chipotle and Subway had a baby. The ingredients are about the caliber of a subway. The meat is better. The delivery came in the time promised (20 minutes) and the delivery guy was quick and friendly. No complains but a pretty average meal. Seems more interesting than just a sandwich.

This is more what you'd expect in a mall food court. It was edible, but disappointing compared to the other pita/gyro places in town. Their tzatziki was really thick and bland. The only way I'd eat here again is with a coupon. It's a very new restaurant. Nice and clean with a friendly crew.

Best Pita's in town. 5 stars for sure!! Everybody needs to try this place. I recommend the chicken crave or the chicken ceasar

We went to pita pit about a week after it opened, which was exciting, because we drive by all the time and were just waiting for it to open. It was nice and clean, not very busy. We were given an expired coupon for a free drink each, which I guess were still valid for them.....however, they were still training people at the register and I think it took a good 10 minutes for them to figure out how to take $1 off the bill. We said we would just pay it, but I'm sure they needed to figure that out. We both ordered Gyros, which normally would come with Tzatziki sauce....they cooked up our meat and we picked the veggies we wanted, then got to the sauces.....they said to my boyfriend, and then to me...we're out of Tzatziki sauce. Now, if this is the case, it would make sense for them to put some sort of sign on the register, saying that they are out of the sauce that is specially made for Gyros, so nobody would order that. We were both disappointed because we had already paid and so we kind of made up our own sauce. I also feel like there was very little meat in there for an $8 pita. The whole process probably took 15 mins and we were pretty much the only ones in there.

It's a knock of of subway with premade meat. The sauce is more like a paste with no flavor. It was not well thought out as several people we pooling next to the counter for the sandwiches to be made in no particular order.

First, I am a Pita Pit fanatic. It was my go-to in Lawrence. So I'm super duper happy there is FINALLY one in OP. This location is very clean, organized and the employees are extremely friendly. I went in several months ago when it first opened and my experience was not near as good. Received a free drink coupon for my next time back. Glad to see things have improved. Will most definitely be back. Gyro, buffalo chicken and philly steak are my favs.

I enjoyed my first visit to Pita Pit. I ordered a chicken pita ($6.19) with combo chips and a drink ($2.49) at the counter. Several protein options were available, along with veggie, and breakfast pitas. Plenty of filling options were available Chipotle-style, including guacamole (no upcharge). My pita was packed full with plenty of grilled chicken, and fillings, inside tasty pita bread. The employees were helpful, and friendly. The interior was clean, and fairly new, with background music. Overall, this was a very good experience.

This is a great place to get your pita fix! Staff was friendly & efficient. This time I got the Philly steak loaded (grilled onion, mushrooms, & peppers). They cook your protein choice on the grill. Then I proceed to pick my type of pita and filling. They have so much to choose from. Fresh ingredients & sauces are a plenty. Too many choices to list in this review. I managed to fill my to form a huge serving & will save half of it for leftovers. You will not be disappointed with this place especially since you pick your own stuffing. It cost around $6-8 on average for a pita but well worth it!

The black bean Patty with avocado sauce was delicious. The portion sizes were very generous, even what the kids ordered were enough to feed an adult. We have kiddos with food allergies and the staff went out of their way to accommodate. I've had their breakfast pitas at other locations and they are amazing as well. This place has a pretty amazing crew. Very friendly!

An addiction that I can't seem to shake. Stumble into Pita Pit around lunchtime and you'll certainly find a line worth waiting in. My go-to is the Chicken Souvlaki. The Mediterranean chicken pairs perfectly with hummus and whatever other mixings you'd like to add. They heat it up and build it in front of you and the final product is always amazing. I strongly suggest checking this place out, but be careful, you might find yourself addicted too!
