Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

After attending a late afternoon birthday party at Blue Valley Rec, we headed over here with another family and our little ones. Calling ahead, they reserved us a table right in the middle of the restaurant. After deciding what we wanted, we waited...and waited...and waited for someone to come take our order. Finally who I think was the manager came over to our table (someone in our party might have flagged him down). We ordered breadsticks and two pizzas. Easy enough. When the breadsticks arrived, they brought six plates for seven people with no napkins or silverware. Someone in our group just got up and grabbed them. The pizza arrived about 10 minutes later. Everyone enjoyed it, but part of that might have been due to the fact that we waited so longer that we just wanted to eat. I don't think I would ever dine there again, but if I'm in the area I would consider ordering carry-out.

With all due respect to those who have raved about this place, they are apparently are under the influence of crack cocaine and can't be trusted. Cocaine is a hell of a drug. The pizza is horrid and reminds me of the cheapest frozen pizza found in the back corner of a Wal-Mart freezer. The crust is cardboard, lacking flavor and substance. Makes me wonder how people can keep talking about their crust. Do they gnaw on reams of copy paper at home? The sauce = depression I can't go on, it makes me hurt inside. Please go out and discover real pizza. Don't do drugs.

Unbelievable service and quality. New ownership has made a huge difference. This place is seriously legit!

I really wanted to like this place. Went in with a Groupon for a dinner for two including salad, breadsticks, pizza, and two sodas. Our server was prompt and cordial, kudos to her. However, the food? It was some of the most bland food I've ever had. I generally can't wait to devour breadsticks with a bit of marinara, but these were so lacking in flavor I didn't even finish them. The pizza looked beautiful when it came out with crispy edges and browned cheese. Again, I could barely taste a thing but some of the cheese. Does garlic and oregano even exist in their kitchen? I don't know, maybe based on the other reviews it was just a bad night, but I won't be trying it again.

Horrible customer service and they do not stand behind their specials or what they state. On Labor we called them and asked if they were open. They stated they were and had a half price appetizer special that was starting an hour early as they were closing at 8. When we arrived our waitress stated that the special didn't start until seven. We stated we just called and was told it started at 6pm. Our waitress validated that it was a mistake on their part. She said she could put in our order and special half price promo. ( to be clear the normal half price started at 7pm. We placed our order at 6:51pm). After our order was placed she came back at 6:57pm and stated our meals because of the computer had to be full price. We then stated could you put it in two minutes later at 7:01pm. She stated she couldn't and we had to pay full price. Really??? We asked to speak to the manager and she stated that was her husband. We asked who the owner was and that was a secret. We won't go back.

Old Town is taking a turn. Oh, no, not with the pizza! The best pizza in town will remain the BEST pizza I have ever eaten. What is new is the visible management; someone new I hadn't seen before. Zachary Claster's friendly greeting immediately set the tone. He was attentive and personable. As we ate, I noticed him working -- not just working, but working with passion and gusto. This guy was all over the place: in the back, in the front, sweeping with enthusiasm, and talking with the customers. He anticipated what we wanted and served! We have been regular patrons of Old Town through three new managements and what we saw tonight will make a huge difference in the success of this restaurant.

Old Town Pizza used to be our favorite place for great pizza. However, something happened. The quality has greatly diminished. When we arrived, not many people were in the restaurant, but nearly all the tables were dirty. When we finally got our table cleaned, the service was extremely slow. The pizza was not nearly what it used to be. We were told that this place was under new management. They had better pick up quality, or this place won't last. That is sad!

If you guys want to try out a different pizza place rather than your typical Pizza Hut, Domino's, or Papa John's you should definitely check out Old Town Pizza. They have fantastic pizza, wings, and they just rolled out their new sandwiches today. I had their Buffalo Chicken sandwich and it was amazing! 10/10!

Oh holy heck... The place is a kitchen nightmare waiting to happen. Pizza makers eating while preparing and then the workplace was DIRTY. From our first visit about 2 years ago till now has shown a lack of care or repair. I thought about leaving but u ordered, so I paid and took it home. Pizza was VERY salty.

Used to come here frequently when the kids were still living at home because it was a wonderful family pizza place. They had friendly staff, a comfortable atmosphere and good pizza. I'm happy to report that nothing has changed! Pizza is still excellent! Thin, crispy crust that seems to stay hot the entire time you are eating. They also did a great job of bringing out our very specific pizza order. We decided to try out their apple tart and berry tart which were new to their menu and were very pleased. They came out very warm with ice cream on top. It was nice that you could actually see real fruit in the tarts and not just the filling. Price seemed to be average for pizza places.

Worst artichoke and spinach dip I've ever had. Crappy service (not rude, just kind of "whatever"). Gluten free crust was cardboardy.

This is my favorite pizza in Johnson County. Their thin crust is excellent. Service is good too. Easy parking. I wish they had more locations and delivery at night.

This place has an 'average' rating of 4 Stars??? Really??? Who the hell is reviewing this place? Obviously SoJoCo suburbanites who have completely lost any sense of taste or who have a single CLUE about good pizza. How do places like this even stay open? And WHY? They have all the equipment and products needed to make really GOOD pies & food, but choose not too. Want the same 'experience'? Just buy the cheapest frozen pizza you can find and screw it up in the privacy of your own kitchen and save a few $$. But hey, if you want to throw your money down the toilet-along with your recent meal from this awful place, knock yourself out. To any potential customers considering giving this joint a try, do your taste buds and GI tract a favor, take a few minutes and drive a few miles north & west and go to Pie Five or SPIN...

I LOVE this pizza, and is my pizza place of choice in the area. They have a great think crust pizza with the usual toppings. Although the atmosphere can be a little nutty, that doesn't bother me because the food is fantastic. It's SO good.

Best pizza in Kc. Crust is so much better than everyone else, and consistent every single time. I also like that now my kid can spill on the new floor and it cleans up easy, so I don't have to worry. Thanks Old Town!

A great place to go hangout with friends or family. Then you have the add benefit of great food and excellent device!

This is the best pizza I have had in many years. The crust is true thin crust that is crisp and crunchy. The sauce is divine that has some hints of spices. The cheese has the right amount of string to it. I stopped eating pizza with red sauce because I could not find one that was perfect, but I might be back to red sauce again. I do occasionally like Chicken, bacon alfredo pizza so maybe they could make one of those next time I come in. Try this pizza place, it is the best pizza in Overland Park!

My original review for Old Town Pizza was my first Yelp review and I feel as though I have shortchanged this great place. Growing up in Southern California my family regularly went to this pizza dive called Shakey's. I have such fond memories of running around, playing video games, and enjoying some pizza. Old Town Pizza reminds me of Shakey's. It isn't fancy by any means, it actually has an oddly likable Western theme (don't remember cowboys eating pizza). Big booths line the main wall and when you walk in they greet you immediately and tell you to sit wherever you like. If you pull up their website Oldtownpizzakc.com they have coupons that you can print off or just pull them up on your phone when you get there. My family of 4 goes there and gets 2 medium one topping pizza for $15...sweet deal. The pizza is consistently good and is wonderfully crispy. I really enjoy their pizza, prices, and watching my kids enjoying their video games/claw game. Great family place, just like Shakey's.

Under new ownership and the inside is looking better. Took out the nasty carpet and have painted the concrete floor and its really nice looking. They are in the process of redoing the chairs and when they are done they will be nice. There were only 2 tables (inlcuding ours) with customers on Thursday night which is not very busy and when our pizza came it wasnt really very hot which is strange. Salad was a nice size and the breadsticks were really good. Giving the owners some time to see if it picks back up

This place has the best mainstream pizza in the metro area. Its not designer pizza like Spin or California Pizza Kitchen, etc. This is just great basic pizza. Thin crust. Always crispy. The facility itself is a bit 'divey' in terms of atmosphere, but who cares! The service is OK, usually just high school kids with no customer service training. But the pizza is solid. Every time. So glad its in Southern OP near us, but I'd drive further to get their pizza.

To start our waitress was awesome. Pizza not so much. Although I love thin crust pizza it was badly burnt. Was my first time here and was very disappointed. Will not come back.

crust is like crackers so if you like that type then you will like this place. very over priced. my husband and i were in the bathroom for the next 24 hours after we ate it. will not eat here again.

Great little locally owned pizza place! Thin, crispy crust, fresh toppings. Service can sometimes be dicey, but that's because most of the staff is high school and young college students. But that's made up in the pizza. MUST try if you haven't!

We've come here for years, and have always loved the pizza. The staff is always friendly, and its just got a great atmosphere. We consider this our neighborhood pizza joint, and all my neighbors feel the same.

Awesome local pizza! Hard to find a local pizza joint, especially that has such a variety of pizza and other food. Been there many times over the past several years and enjoyed the pizza and sandwiches. Will keep coming back!
