Philosophy of Penny's Diner: Let's buy the cheapest food possible, and then burn the hell out of it. This place is awful. Seriously, go to Sonic or McDonald's, or even the gas station and you will receive a better meal. My scrambled eggs were grey and black (which I didn't know was possible). My French toast was made from a 69 cent loaf of bread--at best--and looked like it was topped with fried eggs. Service was terrible as well. DON'T EAT HERE!

We stopped late in the evening for breakfast at this diner. The 3 of us were their only customers so we had their undivided attention. I'd have to say that my loaded hash browns were the bomb! Overall our food was very good although we did nearly have to beg for coffee! If the cup is empty at the edge of the table ... You probably would like some more!

We came in late. There was one man that took our order and cooked all the food for 8 people in less than 15 minutes. The food was incredible for each person in our family. There was so much food for the price. 8 people for $60. Definitely has that old diner feel. Will recommend to others. I believe it was "chuck" that served us. Excellent customer service and cook! Thanks chuck.

Quaint, cute idea to bring back an old diner. Sadly this is the worst run restaurant I have been in a long time. Waitress & cook staff untrained, unfriendly and slow. Place is filthy, see my pic of dead bugs on table. I stayed in the hotel just south of Penny's, and this is their food service. Without unsuspecting hotel guests from out of town, I am sure this place would be closed. Locals don't eat here.

Penny's prices are preposterous. $12 for a poor excuse for a burger and fries? Please... Personal hygiene of staff is poor. The smell of body odor wafting over a hot grill made me want to puke.

DO NOT waste your time or cash on this place! 9:30 am stop for breakfast. Greeted immediately. Then it got ugly. Placed our order. Out of tomato juice. Coffee, water n ice tea. Check. Ordered their junkyard omelete. Was then asked how I liked my eggs! OK, now I'm worried. Julie ordered their buffalo burger with salad. Salad came. Our waitress had to run out for more tomatoes. SHREDDED LETTUCE. WITH CHOPPED TOMATOES AND TWO CRACKERS. That was the salad. Remember this is a dinner. Drank first cup coffee. Pretty good. Put the empty cup at edge of table for refill. After a 5 minutes she comes around asked if I'd like a refill. DUH!!!! Few minutes. Go by and the omelet arrives. White toast instead of sour dough. NO butter. DRY. Hmmmm. Still no burger. It'll be just a minute. I dive in. Condiments no where in site and none offered. Eat 1/3 of it. No burger. Then we hear the cook ask what is this on the ticket. Another waitress (remember ours left to go get tomatoes!) decides it is the burger my wife ordered. Sorry, she comes by to say. Just a minute she says. I eat another 1/3 of my omelet. 10 minutes later, just as the burger is delivered to our booth, or waitress walks back in. The burger was burnt down to a hocky puck. The chesse slice was cold and not even melted! Again, shredded lettuce. The thing was SAD. Again no condiments! I started to get up to go get some but it was too late. Julie had already taken a bite. Said to forget it. I asked for a bite. She didn't think that was a good idea. Took one anyway. What the frig!!!! Now the waitress. Comes over to ask if we need anything. Refills, condiments. I replied 'really, now'? Paid our bill (drinks on the house). Politely stated what I thought of the service and food. NO tip.
