Great burgers, love the grilled onions. Could use a larger slice of cheese, but a fresh pressed burger with a great flavor on its own. Fries were ok, I prefer thicker. I have been to 3 of these accross Kansas, and has been great every time.

Really nice burger joint, with EXCELLENT frozen custard. Yes, the custard is the star at Freddy's. It's thick and smooth, tastes great, and blows Dairy Queen ice cream out of the water. If you're a fan of blizzards and cones at DQ, do yourself a favor and stop in at Freddy's. You'll never go back to DQ for ice cream! As for the burgers and fries, it's not much different than say Steak and Shake. The burgers are made from (I think) fresh hamburger, and the patties are very thin but I believe the double cheeseburger is standard, so you'll end up with about the same thickness of meat as a McDonalds quarter pounder, maybe a bit more. The meat itself is tender and juicy, as it should be. The bun and toppings are more or less standard fair, but they taste very good. The fries, now those are some real winners. Again, they're very similar to Steak and Shake fries. They're cut thin, and nice and crispy, and don't start tasting bad as they cool down. Freddy's uses a seasoning on the fries, and it complements the burger perfectly. All in all, the hot food is above average and worth the meal. The frozen custard though, rockets this meal to 5-star status. If you're in the area, GO TO FREDDY'S!!! :D

as a native Californian, i'm gonna repeat what another reviewer said: this place brings back beautiful visions of a fresh, quality In-N-Out burger and shake. and, shoot, after reading about Freddy the whole time, i now feel like i'm part of the family!

Had the California burger. A solid choice to keep the In-N-Out cravings at bay, and all around a decent fast food (non-gourmet) burger. The beef patty is good, it's like a flattened piece of ground steak. Make sure to get extra fry sauce on the side.

I'm from California, home of In-N-Out! This place seems to be the closest thing to it that I will find in Kansas as far as quality and taste goes! AND I'm not complaining! I've come here twice and the chicken sandwich and the burger I got were both delicious and didn't taste like it was dipped in a grease bucket before it was served to me. AND can I just say that their french fries are my most favorite out of every fast food place ever?! Frozen custard is hard to come by where I am from, and it may be what really gets me coming here! I had the chocolate brownie one, and it was amazing!

I stopped by this location because I thought it was time for a change from the standard McDonald's or Burger King experience. I have traditionally stayed away from Freddy's due to elevated cost, but I'll tell you after this recent experience the cost was worth it. Not being terribly familiar with the menu I found a friendly voice in "Danielle" on the other end of the speaker. She walked me through everything I ordered in a VERY friendly way. She presented all options for me cheerfully and took her time with me. The ordering experience itself is one of the things I absolutely dread when I go through a drive-thru somewhere. "Danielle" was awesome and made this experience stress free. So after ordering several things for the family I pull to the window and get to meet "Danielle." Cute young girl who continued the friendly experience. The time it took to get my food was acceptable, but did take a little longer than what I'm accustomed to. I made sure to inform "Danielle" as I was driving off that she and the restaurant would be getting a good "yelp" review from me. Onto the food. Simply wonderful and it was what I needed. The double California Burger and onion rings were spot on and fulfilled that desire for a good meaty burger that I so desperately was craving. It was a general consensus in the house that the onion rings are the best available in town. It pains me to say that as I'm a huge fan of another burger joints onion rings here in town. As of this most recent experience I would strongly urge you to give Freddy's a shot. If everyone that works there is as friendly as "Danielle" it will be impossible for you to go wrong. The food was great and the service was outstanding! The only reason this restaurant doesn't get 5 stars is for portion size and cost.

Although they serve good frozen foods, I'm not a huge fan of their burgers & fries. I've visited 2 of these franchises, and they are all the same consistent quality. In terms of cleanliness and appearance. Walking inside you'll see the liberal use of the color red on everything. The ceilings are exposed with painted red HVAC vents, and the walls are white. Everything pops out a bit. Their prices are a bit pricey for what you get. Their menu could be re-worked because there are a lot of things and kinda hard to read what you want. Don't come in very hungry, because their burgers aren't as filling as they should be. Their style is a smash burger where the patties are smashed until they are very thin. I like my burgers to be thick and juicy, and they don't offer anything like that. The french fries are shoe string style, which can be tedious to eat. I don't have huge hands, but it's annoying when you're trying to pick one up to eat. Their made for children because their soo small. Now the food tastes great, but if you like this style, you will like it. It's just not for me.

This review is only for their frozen custard. It is SO good! Their frozen custard can really compete with ice creams, and in many aspects it may be even better - creamier, smoother, richer. The only drawback is that it only comes in vanilla and chocolate. But they have a huge selection of toppings that let you try different combinations. I love their hot fudge sauce and caramel sauce with vanilla. Peanut butter cup and turtle sundae is also very good. I'm definitely a regular here for my intermittent frozen custard cravings!
