Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

Stopped by here while running some errands last week. I know that the lunchtime line at any Chipotle looks impossibly long, but I've come to realize, like everyone else, that you'll never wait more than 15 minutes at any Chipotle. They staff for this - they know what their numbers are, down to a science. When you finally do hit the line you are probably through it, payment too, within 2 minutes. Damned impressive.

I don't quite understand the wild success of Chipotle. Their burritos are huge--too big to eat with your hands but they are served in a plastic basket so you cannot eat them with a knife and fork either. They steam the tortillas so they won't tear when they roll up the giant things, but that makes them gummy and impossible to cut with their flimsy plastic-ware. You get to choose your ingredients and watch your burrito being made which is nice, but be prepared to stand in line because they are often very busy. Chipotle's restaurants feature concrete floors with high, industrial, unfinished ceilings which makes for horrible acoustics. And since they choose to play really loud music, it's difficult to carry on much of a conversation. Don't I sound old?

It's the same as all Chipolte's, but the front door had been broke for months. It makes me wonder what else they don't fix and what else they let slide in the Kitchen.

Avoid during lunch or dinner rush! Staff tries to work too fast and will mess up your order (why 'only lettuce' means cheese and sour cream is proof they are poorly trained and focus on speed over accuracy). Then they will try to sell you the bowl/burrito anyway and if you ask to have it remade they will only give you 3/4 of the servings of rice, meat and other ingredients when they have to remake it This place will stay in business because it's location means they do so much volume it can't close. But, GO TO A DIFFERENT one if you can!

This place is great. I come here on average once a week. The food is always excellent and the service is great. Dont be disappointed by the line you may encounter. It movers surprisingly fast and should be a sign to you for quality food.

This place is so hit and miss. Either it's spot on or the worst. Today everything was super bland except for the beans. I kept trying to figure out what was so salty. And then I tasted a black bean and it was soooo salty. I couldn't eat half of it. I'll stick to the one on College Blvd.

When it is right it is really RIGHT. When it isn't right it really isn't . It seems so many restaurants that could be great are help back by not being consistent. Chipotle isn't McDonalds (thank goodness), but at least it is consistent (consistently bad). Now you know why it rates 3 out of 5 for me. So what is good? When you arrive and see the ingredients you like are fresh, piled high in their stainless steel bin, they don't seem to be mixed with the remnants of the previous batch, you are good to go. Steak, chicken or pork, brown or white rice, pinto or black beans, they are all good. Today was a "fresh" carnitas & pintos day! If today was my only visit ever it would have rated 4 stars.

I felt obligated to leave a good review for this location due to speed of service. The line stretched past the door, but it moved fast. As always with Chipotle, the food is tasty and fresh. They had baconless pinto beans which helps add variety for vegetarians.

I love Chipotle. The food is huge and can easily be split by two people. I stopped and got a chicken bowl for me and a chicken burrito for the hubby. Yes we both have left over for tonight. I love the fact that when I mention I have a dairy allergy the pull the guac out from the fridge and get it fresh so there is no change that cheese accidentally fell in at the counter. They are always really nice and fast and they have a great pork carnitas that is so good it is my 2nd favorite I love chicken so I usually get that put the pork is nice and spicy. They are always generous with the portions and we always leave happy.

This is a great Chipotle. We've been there several times, but most recently there was a line of probably twenty five people. Although normally not intimidating, the fact that it was a Friday night meant they were doing one catered burrito for every one an in store customer ordered. That being said - we got through the line in ten minutes flat. Great work!! When ordering, my girlfriend might be what you call "picky." Requiring a dash or rice, 29 black beans and seven pounds of the peppers and onions. She had to ask the server for more peppers twice - but he was amiable and accommodating instead of annoyed or irritated. Great way to win me over. When she is happy, I am happy! My burrito was amazing as usual, and quite packed to the brim. It was a typical Chipotle meal, and I left happy as a lark.

I have to preface by saying that I prefer not to dine at chain restaurants. That said, I've realized that I actually do dine at certain chains on a semi-regular basis. One of those chains is most definitely Chipotle. For a little background: Chipotle is a chain founded by a trained chef who wanted to bring (San Francisco Mission style...my assumption) burritos to the masses. He devised recipes that were both fresh and simple meaning they could be reproduced easily. I mention the previous because, as I said, chains aren't typically on my "to review" list. Now, on to Chipotle - despite the almost ubiquitous crowd, the service is fast and relatively friendly. The food is fresh and tasty. My typical order is along the lines of a burrito with the standard cilantro-lime rice, black beans, and carnitas or barbacoa I also opt for two scoops of the hot (red) tomatillo salsa, a scoop of the corn salsa, and, maybe, light cheese and crema. Anyway, I've rambled on long enough. The bottom line in regards to the Chipotle chain is that it is good, and I recommend it. I suppose the above is more of a recommendation for the chain as opposed to the actual location, but I feel confident in adding that this particular location has never let me down....there you have it.

Chipotle is Chipotle. It is always consistant and tasty but nothing worth going out of the way for. The chips and salsa and a buttito bowl are always a good choice.

My favorite chipolte location.

This location on 95th just west of Oak Park Mall is near where I live and I've eaten here fairly often. (It's also right next door to my dentist's office, so I usually drop in after a teeth-cleaning.) I used to live in California and really miss the great taquerias in Los Angeles and San Francisco's Mission District. I know Chipotle is a chain, but it provides good value for the money and it comes closest locally to the California-style burritos I miss. These are served dry (not covered in red sauce or cheesy glop) and wrapped in foil for eating by hand. Chipoltle has a variety of meats but I always end up ordering the carnitas burrito with rice, black beans, and some fresh and hot salsa (what would be considered a "regular" burrito in San Francisco). The flavor isn't exactly the same as in California, but close enough! This makes a good, quick meal and satisfies one of my few cravings left over from California.
