Seriously... Best staff! They were definitely customer focused and wanted to create an experience for their guests. My husband and I were in town and wanted comfort food and was directed here. Great food, quick service. I even told the manager I wanted to recruit his team to work for me at Nordstrom.

I think many Johnson County snobs thumb their nose at Longhorn, but I think this place has really good food and the steaks are cooked to perfection every time. We always have to tell them to lighten up on the salt and butter, but other than that, we've liked everything we've ordered. This place is way more consistent than Sullivan's where I had the single worst dining experience of my life (...that included a plate of food dropped on my head). In short, the food is much better than the "franchisey" look and feel of this place.

Horrible service my steak came out overlooked (a steak house should know how to cook a medium steak). My asparagus takes like lighter fluid and no one seemed to care. I couldn't get a refill on my water to save my life he best thing about my meal was the bread that came out first. I have given this place a couple tries but this time I learned my lesson. Potatoes were dried out

When: August 2015 Pros: Got seated quickly during 7 pm dinner rush hour Cons: Everything else Look. You're got a smartphone and you're using Yelp which means you're smart enough to care about what and where you eat. Trust me, don't eat here. Keep reading if you need more justification. Let me start by stating this is my second visit within a 3 month period. I wanted to give this place a second try after a bad experience to see if it was a fluke. It wasn't. So understand that I'm not giving a bad review based on a single isolated event. My wife and I were seated quickly during the 7 pm dinner hour which is odd for this area. Most all other restaurants have a 15-30 minute wait during this time. Sadly, this is the only positive thing about our experience here. Server greeted us and got drinks quickly, but then disappeared for the next 15 minutes. I never even saw her and nobody else came to take our order during this time. Eventually, my wife ordered a fillet with shrimp and I got the Outlaw bone-in Ribeye. We both ordered our steaks medium-rare and we know exactly what that looks and tastes like. However, both steaks came out very, very rare. Even the sear on the outside was minimal. Was the grill not hot enough? Was it just a bad cook in the kitchen? Other reviews for this restaurant indicate this is a common problem. Either way, management needs to fix this. Also, my $35 Outlaw Ribeye was very tough and sinewy. Made me suspect they're using USDA select meat or a poor grade to keep costs down. I could buy a Ribeye at the Hen House next door and cook a better steak at home than what I got here. Why the 1-star? It's a steakhouse. The very word "steakhouse" implies a level of service and quality and they're clearly not delivering on it. They can't even cook the damn things properly. Also, because I had two bad experiences in a short period of time, so it's clearly a problem of management. I won't be going back.

When I want a steak, this place is just close, and convenient. There seems to be a lot of mixed reviews.. personally I have always had some really great, attentive service there. The wait times during 'peak' hours, still havent been all that bad, and I have just never had a bad steak. People I have gone with have had issues of under done, or over done.. but as soon as you tell the wait staff, they are quick to make it right.

Great food but the service was rather slow. Very crowded and noisy but it was Fathers' day. I had the sm. filet but had to send it back as it came out to raw. My never ending ice tea glass didn't get replenished until I asked, then it was filled with the wrong drink. If we go back it will be for lunch during the week.

Love this place! Went there for my Mom's birthday (89 years young) Great steaks, salad; everything was delish. Our server Savannah was the best! We will be back!

Pretty good steak. I thought they had the cinnamon butter, but I was wrong. However, their rolls are still pretty soft and tasty. The steak was cooked to my liking and the sides were as expected. The server was very friendly and helpful. Good food in a convenient location.

First of all, this restaurant is racist. The people of color are sent to sit in the back of the restaurant under the air conditioning while the white people sit towards the front. Also, the waitress was the worst I have ever had in my entire life. The service was so bad she didn't give us plates to eat with the bread, we were not given a butter knife for the bread, we had to ask for waters, she never refilled the water, never checked on us throughout the meal, never got my date or I another drink, and spent her time cleaning the restaurant instead of doing her job and waiting on us. She also had a very obviously fake personality. Also, the asparagus tasted terrible and was unevenly cooked, the steak was a kc strip steak but somehow of low low quality tasted more like a beef chuck, and the bread was not cooked well. Most importantly, this restaurant and the town center plaza as a whole is a racist area. Please boycott this racist and terrible place they deserve to go out of business.

Very disappointed. Usually a good chain to eat at. No Portabella mushrooms anymore. Guess no more steakhouse for me. Service was good tho....

This is one of my staple restaurants. Their Parmesan crusted chicken is to die for. They have a honey wheat bread that is always hot and fresh. Their prices are reasonable, and the service is pretty good. I love that they chill their salad/salad bowls so when it comes out the lettuce is crisp and cold. I recommend this to anyone from out of town looking for a good steakhouse, at a reasonable price point.

Got the burger that was topped with prime rib, mushrooms, swiss and onions. Seriously amazing!!!! Came with parmesan fries which were good but not five star. Service was good. Desert was good. I'm already craving that burger again. Might just be the best burger I've eaten.

Booked Birthday Party for 93 yr old grandmother, (24 people ages 9 mos to 93). Everyone from the manager to the waitstaff were friendly, helpful, attentive but not intrusive. When I called an hour prior to check, they already had it set up for us. The Queen for a Day recd a Mardi Gras style Tiara & Necklace! Food was very good--generous salads, steak, chicken, fish all got raves! This was a Sat., and we booked for 3pm--perfect timing, so restaurant not too busy, and before kids' naps. Background music, but not too loud.

A solid three stars, mostly because I'm not much of a chain girl, and also because the service was a tad bit slow for a not-very-crowded restaurant on a Sunday evening. Ended up here after my choir's holiday concert nearby, and was ravenous. The bread basket, which is bottomless, is enough to fill you up before you even see the appetizer part of the menu, so word to the carb-addicted...beware. We got their "tonion," which is an appetizer with batter-dipped and fried onion petals with a horseradish dipping sauce. Pretty fairly priced...not the most costly appetizer on the menu, but likely one of the larger ones; we couldn't finish it. Enjoyed the KC strip, easily big enough even in its smallest size to be split in two and used for next day's lunch. They did a good job of cooking to specification, and the meat was tasty and tender. Also did not skimp on the sauteed whole mushrooms I requested on the side; a very generous portion. All steak dinners come with a potato, rice, or veggie side, but I don't know why anybody wouldn't go with the loaded baked potato, unless it'd be to get the baked sweet potato. The salad was a low point...pretty pedestrian, mostly iceberg and sad, wintry, anemically orange tomato bits. It seems like a decent salad should be fairly easy for them to do, but they're clearly not focusing on the veggies, here. The staff was incredibly nice, which made their lack of speediness not such a big deal to me. All in all, there are doubtless loads of better places to get steak in KC, but if you find yourself in chainville, you could find worse places to eat. A solid meal (and lunch the next day).

Friday night around 7 p.m. we were seated right away. Having called ahead (which is always pleasant when a restaurant will accommodate in this way), there were a few vacant tables. Our waiter promptly came to our table for drink order and to leave the outstanding wheat bread. My husband and I split a salad and the Flo's filet and salmon. Both were unbelievably delicious! We had plenty even with sharing. We didn't want to leave absolutely stuffed so the serving size was perfect. The salmon was perfectly marinaded and cooked to perfection, as well as the filet being fantastic! The lightly grilled vegetables were not overcooked so allowed for retention of good nutrition. The entree also came with rice. Cannot say enough good things about our visit!

We see these commercials all the time at home in St. Paul, MN.... But we don't have any of them in Minnesota as far as I know. So when we were looking for a reasonably priced steak dinner during our trip to Kansas City, we went here. We were not disappointed! We called as we were driving out there, they put us on the waiting list, and we were promptly sat right as we arrived. The dinners were all reasonably priced and very tasty! Steaks were cooked perfectly: tender and juicy. The porterhouse and ribeye streaks melted in your mouth! The only complaint I have is that my white cheddar and bacon stiffed filet was really heavily seasoned. A good steak doesn't need that much salt. But the other cuts were not like this. Our server, Danielle R. was phenomenal! She was really sweet and accommodating. Wish we had a Longhorn in the Twin Cities!

I was down in the 'Wood really wanting to try the new Blue Koi location, but a quick phone call confirmed my worst fear - closed on Sunday. So we went to Longhorn instead since it looked like there was no wait. I had been to this one three times before and was not impressed, but this time, I gave it four stars because the filet for some reason was better than I had ever had here by far. So I averaged all my trips out to 3 stars. The hostess seated us quickly and asked if we wanted a table or a booth. I always like being asked that, because sometimes one or the other works better. The service has always been average to good here as well, and this time was no different. Not the greatest service ever, but the bread and drinks stayed filled without having to wait more than a few minutes. The decor here is typical chain. As a wannabe home improvement guru, they had sealed the table to the wall with a really bad caulking job that looked like a 6 year old's work. But other than that, everything is clean and pretty nice. Back to the food. The steaks this time were WAY better than any time I had come here before. So 1 out of 4 trips isn't great, but for some reason this time, I would have a hard time choosing between this place and a steak house that was a tier up. I also had steamed vegetables which were great too. So maybe a new food supplier? All the rest is the chain fare, pretty good bread and pretty good salad come with most meals. So, I'm not sure about the verdict. If I knew the steak was this good all the time, I'd go here over the more swank places in Town Center. If I take an average, I think I like Outback better.

This chain remains my favorite to get a good steak dinner, i've never had the lobster the other reviewer bagged because i'm not a fan, it is a steakhouse and they do it and cheeseburgers well, even thier chili fry appetizer is good, desserts are good, the baked potato is the best, i've taken my guests from out of town on multiple occasions and they always have had good meals as well, including my picky grandfather that never likes any cut of meat could find nothing to complain about. its always busy on weekends so plan accordingly.
