Olive garden is literally my favorite chain restaurant. We tried to dine in this one several times, but it was always crowded. Finally was able to, and it was great! Service as well as food quality wise. Will be there again.

Why does it take 20 minutes to get any service after being seated? The restaurant is nearly dead and on top of that it took a manager 30 minutes to tell us our drink selection wasn't available. Please shut this "restaurant" down and get one that actually at the very least shows that it cares about its customer service experience. This place is god awful. Do not go here. Now I remember why I go to Carrabba's. UPDATE: On top of everything, my mother in law got whacked in the head by a carrying tray! The waitress didn't even bother to apologize.

I always forget why I hate coming to Olive Garden so much. Luckily every trip here reminds me. We came here on Mother's Day 2015. They don't take reservations, so we arrived at 5pm to beat the rush. No luck, 45 minute wait. They finally seat us after an hour and fifteen minutes, and then 45 minutes later we just placed our order and received our drinks. We ate a light lunch in anticipation of an early dinner and the kids are in full meltdown mode from being here so long. We were seated at 6:15, and the food showed up at around 745. We left around 8 o'clock. Three hours for dinner. The food wasn't terrible, but by the time it showed up I no longer wanted it. I would've been just as happy to hop in the car and drive home at that point.

Here I am on Veterans Day for my husband and I thought the wait for going to be long but it happened to be 30mins and it seemed to go by fast. The dinner rush time about 6-7pm. Our waiter was ANTONIO, I put this in caps because he has been the best waiter I have had by far and hit all the marks the company's want you to do. Such as selling the desserts, twice, but he was so friendly and comedic I didn't mind at all. We got the unlimited soup salad bread for free for my husband and an appetizer for me. Bread was hot. Salad was good, it never changes. The soup doesn't change either. The appetizer was calamari, chicken tenders and cheese sticks. The cheese sticks stretched long and was tasty. Calamari was great hot but when they cool it starts to change so I would advise eating hot. I will be coming back

I just don't get it. I can't stand this place. When people suggest it, I literally cringe. Once you are seated it takes them forever to come and take your drink order. Then you wait another 10 minutes to get them. By the time you order your food, you've already been there 15-20 minutes. No joke, if you are out of here in less than an hour, tell me your secret. I hate the food. Hate it. I always stick with the salad and breadsticks. The breadsticks are usually hit or miss. Most of the time the ends are hard and they are lukewarm. The 4-5 times I have been here, whomever picked this godawful place always makes a comment about how bad the service and food was. Ugh. Seriously, worst place in legends. I'm not trying to be mean or snobby but in all honesty, don't come here.

I used to poo-poo Olive Garden. It was boring and predictable and average food almost like Chef-Boy-Ar-Dee...I wouldn't go unless someone forced me. Well, that's all changed as of a few years ago and we visit Olive Garden several times a year. The salad and breadsticks have always been good. But, the new entrees are diverse and well prepared and I have not had a bad meal since. The service is usually prompt, professional and pleasant. And...we don't have to wait and wait and wait to get our meals. Like I said, we visit here several times a year now as this is convenient to our home and we've had such good experiences here.

We've been her several times. The food and service is usually just ok, but this time it was fantastic. Our server Clara was AWESOME and the food was very good. I had the chicken parm and my honey had The Tour of Italy. Clara offered us extra salad and breadsticks she also gave us to go drinks. The rest of the staff was cordial and nice. They welcomed us into the restaurant and make sure they told us to have a good day when we left

Well what can I say. The waitress, a new waitress almost dump my food onto my lap. I ordered a dinner portion of chicken scampi, I don't believe they could find smaller pieces of chicken to put on this plate for $15. The chicken pieces were as long as my pointer finger, and my hands are not very big. Food was normal for Olive Garden, just okay. It's not like mama used to make but it's okay.

Worst customer service! Do not come here on a busy night. It's seems as though they do not know how to manage huge crowds of customers. Food is always consistently good. Maybe try carry out instead.

Be mindful of your time.... Although the food was exceptions as normal, it is hard to enjoy a meal when the service is pathetic. We were a party of 9 so I know that it would be slower than normal but neutral should not be considered a speed. Drink order was taken consisting of 5 teas and 3 waters, and a Mr. Pibb. Seams easy right....not for Devon our server. 2 extra waters and short 2 teas and that was just the start of the fiasco. Seeing as this was a birthday celebration I went along with the mood until the kids had to go to the bar to get their waters refilled! Don't ask why there were 5 staff opening the doors for guests that looked right at the empty glasses as they went to the bartender to get a refill, guess it is a new policy that customers wait on themselves. Needless to say even after the "General Manager", which at times means that you are responsible for nothing but have some authority over other employees, came to the table and we let her know the situation, service still stunk. If it had not been for the assistance of Maria, don't have a clue if that is what her name was but she was very good at attending to us, we probably would have got up and left as the older couple did just a few minutes into our meal due to piss poor service. So in the end the food is good but be cautious as to the time that you have as a meal that should be 1 hour or less start to finish will end up costing you 2 hours. On the bright side, since it is now self service, it does save the customer the standard 20-25% tip charge that I would have normally added to the bill. So sad that service sucks in a place with good food!!

Food is good. Packed on Saturday night for dinner.. make sure you are ready to wait 30-45 minutes. Food and service are both excellent.

Food is decent. Waiter was good, but rushed us through our meal and out the door. At least I didn't have to cook tonight!

  • Jeremy L.

First off, it's Olive Garden so the food is usually decent and you know what to expect. We went in for a late afternoon meal after eating Easter Dinner a few hours before. We were not all starving, so we decided to split a few of the meals. Kids split a cheese pizza and we split the Tour de Mare. The first thing that our young server said was, since we were splitting meals we would have to add salad and breadsticks for 3 of us! Really? Do you think adding money to the total invoice is going to give you a better tip when all you are doing is ****ing me off? That was a little upsetting just becasue they bring you the same amount of salad if 1 person orders or 5. So between the two entries, 3 soft drinks and two waters, the bill was 50 bones! How much do these people think their salad and breadsticks are worth? I have not been to an Olive Garden lately, and I probably won't be back anytime soon. 6 pieces of bland pizza and an entree for that price? I would much rather waste my money on BBQ.

Am I embarrassed that I am writing a review for Olive Garden? Absolutely. Did I have to knock down a bunch of blue hair's to get my name on the list first? Possibly. Did I actually enjoy my meal? Yes. Let me just say that my mom lives out by the Legends, so I have pretty much hit every place at this way at some point. The opening of The Olive Garden is old people what Jason Beiber is to tweens. I have never seen anything like it. Is spaghetti and meatballs and labor intensive dish? What the hell? Why are we on a 5 minute wait on a Monday at 2pm????? And, more importantly, why am I waiting? Maybe curiosity, or maybe I am just so damn cold from being rained on, that I don't want to walk back to the car. Either way, i am in a place I have not entered since my college days and it is fascinating. Finally we were shown our booth. Unfortunately, someone had a salad fight on my seat and I had to ask that it be wiped off. Nothing like seeing someone else's garbage to spur your appetite. Anyway, the garbage was soon forgotten as Ed Asner tried to cough up a lung at the booth behind my mom. I guess his wife is too old to hear it, lucky her. I did my best to refocus and read the menu. I was expecting more lunch specials, but really, the portions here can count as lunch and dinner. We both ordered entree's that came with bread sticks and salad. One thing I remember about The Olive Garden is that the salad was always fantastic and it still was. It was super cold and crispy. the tomatoes were ripe and red and the onions were super fresh. When I was in college, I hated the banana peppers, but now i love them, so extra bonus. Of course the bread sticks are great...what's not to like about a buttery bread stick. Get those the hell away from me. I decided to play it safe and order the spaghetti and meatballs. It sounded comforting on a warm day. the meatballs were not great, but not too bad. Sauce, average. One thing I did notice is that the spaghetti noodles were thick and springy...they tasted like fresh made noodles. Not sure if they were. My mom had a sort of shrimp scampi with angel hair, which looked great. Our waitress was on top of everything. She danced from table to table like a pro and didn't miss a detail. I heard her telling the coughing lung guy that she couldn't wait for her kids to be out of school and I couldn't help but wonder how she juggled it all. Hopefully she can squeeze more then 10% out of those old farts who love to die with all their $$ in the bank. Completely satisfying on a dreary Monday, but then, I was in good company :).

Had a good experience at this OG. Went in late on a Friday night and were surprised we didn't have to wait even though the parking lot was very crowded. The food was very good. The service was good too.

Yum Yum Yum I love me some pasta!!! If you go during the afternoon, i.e. lunch, there is no wait and you can get some great service. During the night it is definetly much slower, but service is still good. You must try the lasagna appitiezer, to die for.

My husband and I stopped in for a later dinner on a Friday night, hoping to avoid the crowds and screaming kids. We used to stop in at the 91st and Metcalf location at this time and it was awesome, but since we now have this location closer to our home, it seemed a no-brainer that we could get the same experience there. Our mistake. We arrived around 9:45pm, and were seated immediately in the one little corner they seemed to be seating everyone else in (but the bar area was still full of guests, too, so they were by no means empty). There were probably 5 or 6 other groups there as well in our area. Our hostess was not the friendliest, but we do take into account that it's later on a Friday night, they're probably ready for the night to wrap up (we didn't realize how much until a little later). There were what seemed to be 4 servers assigned to the 5 or 6 groups of us - great! The couple next to us was getting amazing service from theirs, so after about 5 minutes when our server arrived, we had high hopes. My husband ordered a beer and a glass of water, and I ordered tea with no extra glass of water. She was irked we didn't already have our orders ready to go, but she gave us more time. Again, we get that it was later, so we're allotting for fatigue here. Our drinks come back - my husband is served beer in a bottle with no glass (this has *never* happened at an OG we've ever been to) and a glass of water, and I get a water with a bendy straw and my tea. Ok...extra water, not a big deal. He asks for a glass and she tells him "In a minute." She eventually comes back with it. Our dinner orders are in and all seems fine. In the dining area farthest from us, a young employee is doing a little vacuuming with one of those backpack styled vacuums. I assume she's going to just sweep a little in that farthest area, because clearly, our area of the dining room is still fairly populated, and it's still a full hour out before closing. The whirring is annoying, but not intolerable, since it's far away. She stops...for 5 seconds. Then she moves to the dining area closer to us. I figure she's just getting obvious stuff. I mean, I know they want out as quickly after closing as possible, but there's still plenty of time to get the vacuuming done! I assume the shift manager will make her stop. This is my mistake. Food arrives, it's warm and tasty, no complaints there. You know what you're getting at OG! Our waitress doesn't check on us one time, no refills or anything until it's check time. By this point, vacuum girl has positioned her self one group of booths over and is blissfully unaware that she's shushed the conversations of all parties left (still 4 or 5 groups of us) since we can't even hear the music on the loudspeaker, let alone each other. We order dessert to go, and vacuum girl finally turned it off right before we left. Unbelievable. We still tipped, because we wouldn't have stiffed our server, but she definitely had not made our dining experience worthwhile. With really only us and one other table to concentrate on, I don't know why she didn't knock it out of the ballpark to ensure that last hour brought in stellar tips, but that's just me. My husband and I both started out in food service and retail, and had the ethic that you should do your best to satisfy your clientele no matter what your job is. I'd blame age, but most people we dealt with were a good 10 years older than us (short of vacuum girl, of course). We took our leftovers and desserts home, and one of the desserts was still frozen! Insult to injury. It was the cheesecake, and if you've ever tried to defrost one of these things...let me just warn you - don't. It's like the bottom layer melts. Yuck. We started out with great service at this one, then one so-so, followed by one that was incredibly bad. We gave it another try, and if this is it, we're out. Since the food is at least consistent, we'll just make the trip next time to one in Johnson County. They just don't want our business here.

My family went to this Olive Garden last night for dinner. Antonio was our waiter. We had a reservation, so we didn't wait too long to be seated (thank goodness we did, the line was LONG). Immediately, Antonio lurked at our table, not saying anything...which we all thought was odd. When it came time to order food, I ordered just shrimp with no seasoning (fun diet), asking him how many came on it, he said plenty. I asked what kinds of no fat dressings they had, he said okay. Thinking he just didn't hear me, I asked again. He looked annoyed and said just one. Okay... The rest of my family ordered and he again stopped and stared at us without saying anything before he left. Several times he just walked over to us and listened to our conversation, telling us how bad his day was. Strange... After our food was delivered, my order was not on the tray, but he didn't say anything. Twice he came back (we had to ask for more drinks and more salad), but when I finally got his attention he told me they messed up my order so they had to remake it. I sat and watched my entire family eat and when he finally brought my shrimp, there were 5 tiny shrimp in a small bowl. I told him I wanted this as an entree and he only ordered me a side of shrimp. After I expressed my frustration, he just stared at me some more. My family ordered me another one...so again I wait. After he put the order in, he decided to come "hang out" with us...telling us how awkward this was and how this night is going to be awful if this is how it starts. Okay, seriously guy...I'm angry you messed up and you are complaining to me about your night? He wouldn't stop staring at me as I just try to not look at him because it was making me so uncomfortable. About 10 minutes later, he brings us the bill (no shrimp yet), and asks me if I still want the shrimp...every single one of us answers yes and he shakes his head and walks away. I finally get my shrimp and it's smaller than the first bowl. Needless to say, I left hungry because I dare not wait another 20 minutes for another bowl of a few shrimp. I am from KC and I hate leaving a bad review on a business in the area, but this was the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant. Nothing was offered for the mess up, not even a sorry. How Antonio has a job as a server is beyond me. I am very disappointed and wish we would've went somewhere, ANYWHERE else but our local Olive Garden...

Salad good. The entree was awful. Of all Olive Gardens stops this was our worst. The table next to us also had issue but it wasn't due to the food. They never received there food until 1 hour and 20 minutes after they ordered. They ended up walking out without paying.

I've eaten at other Olive Gardens of course and even tried this one when they first opened. Man, oh man, has this place gone to the dogs! The hostess was obviously bothered by our arrival at 2:30 PM and said we would have to wait 5 minutes to be seated because of a "staff meeting". It was actually a training session for 6-8 new servers. This place obviously has a large turnover in employees. Our server was a meathead. She didn't know that soup and salad come with every entree until we reminded her... then she never brought them. We complained to the kitchen server who brought the main dishes and they had the nerve to bring the salad, soup and breadsticks to us after the entrees and never apologized or offered an adjustment on the bill. We never got a refill of our drinks... not once! Nobody stopped by to ask if we needed anything or to ask if everything was ok. I never saw a manager in the dining area at all. I guess they were tired of hearing complaints. The food here was fairly bland... we had lasagna and a shrimp with ravioli dish. They were very lacking in Italian seasonings of all things. The portions were small and not cheap. Two lunch entrees, one appetiser, an iced tea and water= $36- way too much for a quick, bad lunch. This was my WORST dining experience ever!

I personally cannot stand the Olive Garden! My wife loves it though so I have to like it! I am all about the house salad, it stops with that, the fried foods are always overfried and the grilled stuff is always to dry. I have eaten at many different olive garden's and I just can't say much good about them, it's the applebees of italian food!

I would have gave a three star rating for the food...it's as expected, but the service more than made up for it. I had five or more people come up to my son and I to check on us and get us items that we needed, none of that, "I'll let your server know" BS. I started out in food service, so I know what it's like, but I have NEVER experienced such a "team" atmosphere. We will definitely be back to this location!

It is Olive Garden. If you are reading this, you probably already know about OG. I wanted a quick bite to eat after spending some time at Legends. It was 5 or 6 PM on a weekend night, and we got a table in 10 minutes. Unfortunately, our server didn't know we were there and had just come on shift....she apologized and then seemed to forget we were even there for the next hour. I figured it was just one bad experience based on one server. Just as I was leaving our table, the manager asked us about our experience, and I was honest that it was poor...however, the food was good as usual. She caught us walking out of the door and made up for it. I'll leave it at that. I'd go back, and hopefully the server will be on time or at least pay attention to her section.

The service was TERRIBLE. My husband loves Olive Garden's salad, so we went there for dinner. We waited an extremely long time for our entrees. I ordered the shrimp primavera. When it arrived, after sitting there looking at empty glasses & salad plates, it was a mess. The advertised vegetables were nowhere to be found. And, there was spaghetti noodles mixed in with the penne. When I showed it to the waitress, she just shrugged and wandered off. After flagging down another waiter, he took the plate away to have it corrected and got the manager. The manager also showed no interest in fixing the problem. When my plate was returned, it was clear they had only pulled out the spaghetti they could see... there was more of it at the bottom of the dish. Then, a spider fell directly into the breadsticks. Again, the waitress just shrugged. We will NEVER go to the Olive Garden at the Legends again.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
