Very good place to eat and very reasonably priced steaks. 6oz steak is $8.00! You can spend as much as you want but the 6oz is a good value. They also have very good lunch specials.

Not much around here to eat, but this place is probably the best. Good, cheap Steaks and drinks. Nice atmosphere and fun servers.

Great food, great deals, and the crown royal decorations are awesome. A hidden gem in JC.

Well, let's just say I had to rethink my expectations. Tyme is a little rough around the edges. Salad was not edible. Filet mignon was good, cooked med rare as requested. Simple fare, simple service for bikers right off the freeway.

My wife and I went here the other night. We walked inside and it looked like your average bar, crown royal bags stapled to the ceiling and everything. We stood there for about two minutes waiting to be acknowledged before finally just taking a table. When we did, we sat there for about 5 minutes waiting for the waitress to acknowledge us. Though she passed us repeatedly to tend to the table of people next to us, she ignored us for awhile. We eventually ordered waters, and I a beer. Their water is tap water, didn't even taste filtered. We sat with our drinks for about 20 minutes before she came to take our order. When it arrived, the burger I'd ordered was overcooked, and the fried mushrooms I got as a side looked straight out of a box. The jalapeno poppers I ordered as an appetizer were the same way. By this time, my wife and I had been sitting on empty water glasses for some time. My wife's steak was both overcooked AND cold and her potato was lukewarm, at best. I find it sad when the only good parts of a meal are the prepackaged microwaved sides. I wanted to complain to the waitress but throughout the entire meal, she did not once come to us to check on how the food was or if we needed drink refills. After we finished, we sat there, watching her joke with other patrons and service other people. At one point, the table next to us had two waitresses standing there laughing with a group of drunk patrons while we sat there with empty plates and empty cups, dissatisfied with our meal. They left again without acknowledging us. All the while, waitstaff was going in and out of the bathroom near us, looking at us and walking away. We eventually got the waitress' attention, after waiting with those empty plates for about 20 minutes. She gave us the bill and I paid it. All in all, we were there for over an hour had no refill offers, and had sat waiting for all but about 15 minutes. I can remember one other time in my life I did not tip for table service, and this time was even worse. The food was poorly made and the service was terrible. I actually left feeling insulted. If one of my employees were to treat a customer like this, I would fire them on the spot. Do yourself a favor, save your money for something worth your time.

Did late dinner. Was in before had read Yelp reviews. Wife ordered fried green beans as appetizer which was disappointing as heavily breaded and deep greasy fried. And $7. We split 16 oz KC sirloin rare and it was excellent and cooked just right. Baked potato was wet and squishy. Texas toast was good. Prob won't return unless can get steak by itself. Limited wine selection as in a red or white.

Chicken sandwich is good and my husband always enjoys whatever steak he orders. I wish they didn't serve sour cream etc. in packets, seems cheap. I didn't care for the potato skins that had nacho cheese.

My husband and I love Tyme Out, and we love the owners. They are always really friendly to us and they have great mom and pop food. Burgers and steaks.. chicken, good country food. We had a little dinner party here upstairs and they let us decorate it how we wanted, gave us great attention for drinks and food, and helped us serve our cake to guests. We come here often and will keep doing so because it's a great place to eat!!! The bad reviews are from a salty couple that says things like "their water is tap water, it didn't even taste filtered"... mmhmm.. that's enough right there. They've been around 20yrs.. if you want filtered water from the glaciers of mount everest and served at exactly 54 degrees... stay in NYC or LA.

I make a point of stopping here when I'm traveling to KS. I'm baffled by the poor reviews. This is a great mom and pop place to eat. I always get the lunch special 8oz steak for $9.99 and a beer. I had one today. Well seasoned steak, friendly staff and quick service. I love this place.

Not good. Bathrooms are gross, food made three people in our party nauseous.
