Who cares that there is no Ken! Who cares that there's a Murray and a Paul and the owner lives in Oregon. Who cares? I've only been to the lunch buffet and man it rocks!!! You walk in and a waitress drops from the ceiling? "Whaddyawant to drink?" By the time she finishes saying that, she's half way around the room serving up 8 diet sodas with her eight arms. You don't even bother to sit down because the millimeter-thick crispy pizza under the heat lamps is not gettin' any hotter! Once you do sit down, you keep turning your head everytime you hear a metal clang, footstep or cough because it might just might be another flaming hot-who-knows-what coming out of the oven! Pizzas I've seen at the buffet, you ask? Pepperoni, Pepperoni with Sausage, Pepperoni with Jalapeno, Mexican, Apple Pie Pizza, Pear Cobbler Pizza, The Works and Canadian Bacon. I think I cried a single tear when I went to pay for 3 people's pizza, salad and soda and the waitress said -- "That'll be $16". I tried to thank her but she was already somewhere in the next county...

Poor, poor, poor customer service from management! Dawn one of the managers is very rude. I always order the gluten free pizza. It is mediocre but for the price of under $10 it's doable. As long as Paul and Dawn are in management I wouldn't recommend eating there, and it doesn't seem that will be changing anytime soon!

So disappointed. Grew up loving this place. It was a Thursday night not busy 6 tables of people eating. The floor was filthy! Needed to be swept. Pizza buffet was lack luster cold and old bread sticks and cinnamon sticks. Won't go back next time we are in town.

I was very disappointed with Ken's. My wife told me that she used to love going to Ken's when she'd come to the state fair, so I decided to venture out and eat there. I was not impressed at all. I will qualify my review by saying I did get the buffet, so maybe from the menu is better. My pizza was not hot, but warm. The crust was very thin and bland. The toppings were mediocre at best with very little flavor. The breadsticks were very plain. The dessert pizza was almost "store bought" in consistency and flavor. The one pasta dish they had on the buffet was almost cold and didn't taste fresh at all. I'm not sure if I'll be back.

I remember going to this Ken's Pizza a lot when I was younger and the buffet is great. All their pizza is pretty tasty, and it's certainly unique. Not unique as in really strange pizzas, but the ingredients are slightly different (I know all pizza places order their own ingredients, but Ken's are differently sized or textured? I don't know. It's different.) The crust is also good, thin and crispy. The breadsticks are probably my favorite part to be honest. They're really, really great! The staff is always nice as well. It's definitely well-known throughout the area and is often cited as the best pizza within so-and-so miles of Wichita.

I've traveled across the US many times and have never had anything like Ken's taco pizza. Go for their lunch buffet with salad bar and unlimited pizza. It costs, like, seven cents (ok, maybe $5?) but the buffet is usually so busy that everything turns over quick and you get fresh slices right out of the oven.

I used to eat at Ken's Pizza a lot when I was younger. However, I was disappointed in this one. The pizza was very mediocre; the breadsticks had good seasoning but it was like chewing cardboard. Our waitress did an okay job, but there was nothing spectacular, and the food was less than spectacular.

One of my favorite places. Great pizza, great service, and a great price. Need I say more?

Good pizza and well stocked buffet and salad bar. Servers are good. A little confusing, whatever server greets you gets you. Cash only is a little antiquated.

As an ex-Ken's waitress (in high-school,) I am sentimental about this place and the good times I have had there. However, I will try to be a good "yelper," and not let my emotions get in the way of this review. Many people will tell you that Ken's Pizza is the best pizza that they have ever had. Depending on my level of inebriation, I might be one of those people. The fact of the matter is, Ken's has a really good, crunchy, thin crust pizza that is even better when you're drunk, or when you're stuffing yourself full of it on a $4 buffet! Everyday (and a couple of evenings per week,) Ken's has a ridiculously cheap lunch buffet, which features their thin crust pizzas, "bread wedgies" (cheesy bread) dessert pizza (fruit topping,) "cinnamon wedgies," (buttery, cinnamon-sugar bread,) and lasagna or rigatoni. They also have really good toasted sandwiches, and a salad bar with a pretty decent selection. A big part of the Ken's mystique is the waitresses. Always waitresses, never waiters, most of these girls are high-school and college students. You walk in to Ken's, and the first girl to greet you at the door is your waitress. (They have to kind of fight for their tables, since there aren't really "sections".) Your girl will tell you to "sit wherever you like," and she'll come find you with your drinks. The service is really great unless you come in during peak-buffet hours, which honestly is when I ALWAYS want to go! The place gets so crowded, you can barely walk. Customers waiting to be seated will crowd both entry ways, which happen to be on either side of the buffet, not to mention blocking the register where you pay for your meal. It just becomes a big cluster-f*** and is stressful for everyone involved. My advice: if you want to try Ken's buffet, try to arrive around 1:45-2:00 pm, when it is dying down. You should have a great experience. CASH ONLY!

If you ask anybody from Hutchinson what is the best pizza in the world, they will get a confident look that lets you know that there is no searching required to answer that question. Ken's pizza has the best tasting pizza you will ever try. The buffet is a good price, but I would not recommend you try that, the selection is limited and Ken's best is not available. Order the "double-crust" pepperoni and you will be quite pleased. If you feel more adventurous I would also recommend the greek style pizza which has no tomato sauce but instead an olive oil based sauce with basil, and is topped with fresh tomatoes, feta cheese, olives and artichoke. Has a nice atmosphere, though it can get hectic at busy times.
