Great food and good service. We were driving back home to Colorado and decided to stop in for a bite. Ordered the NY strip steak medium rare and it was cooked perfectly. I had the vegetable of the day as a side (broccoli) and that was so tender and delicious as well. If I am ever back over this way, I'll definitely stop in!

Based on the Yelp reviews, my husband & I went here for dinner. Also I read the description from the owner. My bad: I thought "served fresh daily" meant serve fresh food. Almost nothing seemed fresh; rather, most seemed out of bags (dry dusty croutons), refrigerator bags (salad with random piece of overly large radicchio), and frozen bags (uniform shaped corn on cob, and oddly crusted salmon). Husband's rib dish was mediocre. On the positive side staff was upbeat & attentive; our waiter had a dry sense if humor. If I'm ever in Goidland, again, I'd will not spend $19.99 per dish for this chain restaurant quality food.

In a town where there are very few choices, Shiraz was a welcome find. Although the service was rather slow for us, the food was excellent. I ordered the club sandwich, and was expecting the typical sandwich cut in four quarters with triple decker bread. It was nothing like that. It was on a delicious bread roll, and stuffed with tasty thick cheeses, meat, and crisp bacon. It was lovely. The fries were shoestring and excellent.

Servers were attentive and helpful. Food was delicious. Prices were reasonable. Happy hour specials were exceptional

Very tasty food! Welcoming service! Worth the drive off i70 to enjoy some local fare! I ordered the fish tacos!!! Yummy tilapia with slaw, avocados and tasty salsa! The only down side was the white corn tortillas which I think they tried to fry but they were not cooked completely so they fell apart and were really a greasy mushy mess ! Too bad cuz the filling was Delish! My hubby ordered the Tilapia as an entree! He really liked it. Yummy salad with his favorite black olives! A medium sized baked potato accompanied the nice sized tilapia filet. He said it was excellent! In my opinion the plate needed some visual appeal like a little parsley or some colorful veggies! I forgot to take a photo of our meals so you'll have to trust me! My plate was colorful and appetizing! My hubby's on the other hand looked bland but as I said he thought it was delicious! And I guess in the end taste was what we went for! The place was neat and clean, possibly recently renovated however the outside was pretty lack luster! And it's in the middle of the motel attached to the motels swimming pool like maybe the building was formerly the motels restaurant. The YELP map showed it in the next block east of the hotel! The sign is small so don't pass the motel and miss it!

Great and friendly staff, super fast turnaround, pretty solid food and a decent price. I definitely m suggest going if you find yourself in the area.

This place isn't a five star restaurant in the Gourmet Magazine sense, but given the location it certainly is. Just an extra half mile past the fast food joints and you can enjoy real food and friendly service. My wife's fries were hand cut and my roast beef was cooked and shaved thinly in house. Portions are very generous and prices very reasonable. When you're making that awful, boring drive across Kansas your meal stops are about all you have to look forward to. A place like this is such a breath of fresh air over fast food.

It feels more like a bar than a steakhouse, but the ribeye steak was really good. I'm really picky about steak, and I would come back for this one. The onion strings were more like old onion rings. The salad was fresh. The soup tastes like canned soup. Server was mediocre...he couldn't recommend anything...stated the items we asked about as being "pretty good". Didn't introduce himself so I don't know his name. The rating is really carried by the steak, otherwise a 2 star.

I was disappointed with my dinner here. There were no real vegetarian options, so I ordered a salad without the meat and onion rings. The $8 salad was made of wilty yellow lettuce and flavorless, not-so-fresh toppings, and the $5 onion rings were soaked with grease. That said, the friends that I came with who eat meat really enjoyed their burgers and sandwiches. Service was decent and the place was clean. But I wouldn't recommend this to anyone, especially other vegetarians.

I enjoyed your restaurant. Very clean. nice restroom. Excellent and friendly service. The food was hot and good. Didn't take forever to get. We drove from Colorado Springs to Goodland, KS just to get away from the smoke and get out of town. Although this restaurant is ugly on the outside, the employees and food are good. Definitely would eat there again if passing through. Not the town Dairy Queen though. They suck.

We were in Goodland, KS. for New Year's Eve because of the weather on I70. We stopped in Shiraz and were pleasantly surprised. The staff was friendly and welcoming. We both had Chicken noodle soup that was good. My pork tenderloin dinner and my husband' Philly beef sandwich were both very good. Service was good and the setting was nice (cloth napkins). I would eat here again if I found myself in Goodland.

Compared to the rest of the town, it's probably more like 5 stars. Good food, friendly staff, and clean.
